Kay Adams: Bucs Deserve “An Apology”
October 27th, 2026
She’s sorry.
They’re ba’ack.
That was the message sent yesterday by NFL it-girl Kay Adams as she issued a mea culpa to Tampa Bay.
Adams said between the Bucs losing their first five straight games and the fact they were not “buzzy” enough, she and many others wrote off the Bucs for the 2026 season.
But the curb-stomping of the Stinking Panthers, two weeks removed from hammering the Cowboys (both road games) for Adams signals that the Bucs have turned the corner.
Look out, NFC South landfill.
“They’re back!” Adams said. “And I hate saying this because the truth is, we all [owe the Bucs] an apology from all of us who sort of — I wouldn’t say like buried them or wrapped them — but we didn’t, we kind of [thought] they weren’t going to be that buzzy.
“And it’s all the Panthers and all that.”
And then, boom!
“The fact that they did that to the Panthers without Baker having to do very much shows me they’re not only back, but the ceiling is really high,” Adams said. “It says a ton about what the rest of the roster is.
“It’s a complete team. [If] they can play like this, [Mayfield] doesn’t have to be Superman every snap and they can really kind of go places.”
Joe believes Adams is correct if Sunday was not a fluke. With a 2-5 record, unless the Bucs can start stacking wins, those two wins are the exact definition of outliers.
The win Sunday was awesome with a capital-A, as Bucs superfan Dick Vitale would say. Let’s see more wins before we start putting down deposits on a home game for wild card weekend.
But the two wins do show if the Bucs show up with their heads screwed on straight, they can be dangerous.

Let’s just WIN BABY!

7-10 here we come!
Go Bucs!

The Steelers loss nullifies any of this talk. Blow a 17-0 lead at home? That loss may haunt them at the end of the season. Letâs get to .500 before we declare âthey are backâ. Iâm betting they get whooped by the ATL

Bucs can make a statement Sunday, one way, or the other.

OldSchool, the Falcons don’t match up well with the Bucs, so I highly doubt they get blown out. The only wild card (can’t believe I’m saying this) is Kyle Pitts. The Bucs will sell out to stop Bijan which will leave the middle of the field open. London will get his, but I don’t see him lighting it up. The Falcons are #1 against the run, but last in pass defense. There is no way the Bucs can just line up and run Bucky. So, it’s Mayfield vs. Penix. I’ll take Mayfield if he doesn’t turn the ball over.

Yeah let’s calm down. Todd Bowles has proven time and time again, he knows how to snatch defeat from the Jaws of victory time and time again. Fool me once, shame on you fool me 4 times? Shame on the Glazers for keeping him. I enjoyed the win, don’t get me wrong, and it’s hard to not be excited, but I need to temper my expectations.

kay who?
October 27th, 2026 at 6:17 am
Go bake!!!

Kay is starting to look like “Billy the Puppet” from the movie saw…
Hey Joe can you tell her to lay off the skin tightening surgeries for a bit?
October 27th, 2026 at 7:24 am
Old school when was it 17-0 Bucs vs Pitt?
October 27th, 2026 at 7:35 am
I agree with Leopold .. ‘Let’s calm down’. The Bucs have a very solid history of beating themselves, and they’ve shown themselves to be capable of doing exactly that in ANY GAME. From now until the end of the season, it has to be ‘one-game-at-a-time’ like we’ve all said a million times before.
The next 2 games are the most critical we’ve faced all season. Lose those 2 and realistically we’re out of it (2-7 with 8 games to go?). Not mathematically out of it, but realistically … yes.
Atlanta can be beaten, but it won’t be any puss game. Their offense scores a more points than ours (24.4 PPG average) & is currently ranked #10. But it turns the ball over a lot too (12 times so far, almost 2 turnovers per game), so that’s something we MIGHT be able to take advantage of. Their Run Defense is very solid (ranked #4 in Rushing Yds Allowed), but their Pass Defense sucks (ranked #29 in Passing Yds Allowed). Something to take advantage of there.
The Bucs’ game-plan will be critical, and so will our defensive strategy. The big question in my mind is ‘How effective will Mayfield be this Sunday?’ IF our OLine protects him well, IF our running game performs well & keeps the Falcons off-balance, and IF Baker can actually throw & complete the majority of short passes (to keep the clock rolling & drives alive), THEN we’ve got a decent chance of winning. Lots of IFs though.

Hodad is correct. They’ll make a statement with continual winning or just another loss.

Who cares about Pitt non divisional game..They found the formula, it just took a few wks. They dig themselves out with a win Sunday…Go Bucs!
October 27th, 2026 at 8:37 am
@ Steve V
Vegas has the Falcons favored by @ 2-2.5… Over/Under is @ 45.5
What do you think?
Will the Bucs break their 1 game winning streak?
Or are you a “Kay Adams fanboy”?
LOL!
October 27th, 2026 at 8:49 am
1 game at a time. Donât get ahead of yourselves. Couple more games that and then we can start throwing the P word around. Whatâs cool this is the type of football they played is playoff type ball. Great ground game and strong defense. Letâs go Bucs skin them dirty birds
October 27th, 2026 at 8:51 am
If she owes the Bucs an apology, so does the majority of Bucs fans as well as those that cover them! What they proved Sunday was what they are capable of. Theyâre not necessarily ready to go on a heater unless the passing game takes a major step forward.
October 27th, 2026 at 8:54 am
Bucnjim thatâs my thoughts to. Pitts might have a good game as Bucs have struggled against TEs. Yet they shut down the top WR on most of the teams this year. Metcalf might be the only one to have a big game against the Bucs. Our DBs have played dam good this year. All the people who said they were trash and that they were the weakest position group on the team have a nice crow dinner waiting for them lol
October 27th, 2026 at 9:00 am
What is dangerous is letting expectations get carried away. Bowles doesnât like to score 43 points, itâs too many when heâs proven that playing in tight one score games is how to make a team resilient, win or lose. And Bowles has been great at that. Letâs get excited for a one point game or a three point game again. Enjoy all the other things.
October 27th, 2026 at 9:04 am
She’s an idiot.
October 27th, 2026 at 9:18 am
Who cares what this plastic bimbo thinks?? Sheâs completely fake in every way.
If you think 2-5 with four home losses is cause for celebration then we arenât the same people.
Until we are at the very least .500 it isnât worth a conversation.
Is the NFCS crown in play at the moment? Sure because it is meaningless.
Unless you are a Pom Pom waiving lemming that enjoys national embarrassment when the games matter most.
