Fun Bucs Running Stats

Bucky owns the Panthers

After the Bucs full-blown curb-stomping of the Stinking Panthers on Sunday, the stats from NextGen Stats and other sources began sifting out of the smoke left by the Bucs’ running game bulldozing through the Carolina defense.

And it seems Bucs running back Bucky Irving loves to play the Stinking Panthers.

Of Bucky’s top five games for yards after contact, three of them have come against Carolina, including Bucky’s best game for yards after contact on Sunday, documented Bobby Kownack of NFL.com.

Bucky Irving gained a season-high 73 yards after contact, his fifth-most in a game in his career. Three of Irving’s top five games in yards after contact have come against the Panthers.

But there are more fun running numbers from Sunday’s game.

* The 258 yards on the ground was the third-most by any Bucs team.

* The Bucs as a team ran for a total of 171 yards (most by any NFL team in a single game this season).

Just a fun, fun game.

Hey, Joe is like most guys. Joe loves a good downfield-passing game. You know, like the no-risk-it, no-biscuit Bucco Bruce Arians offense run by America’s Quarterback Jameis Winston and Mr. Seven Rings Tom Brady.

But there’s something about a dominant run game that gets the testosterone flowing.

Blah blah blah. Only against the worst run defenses does this happen.

Atlanta knows how to beat us. 3rd and 28 anyone remember that????

Mike Evans remembers. As does Jamal Dean.

Blowouts mean just about everything went one team’s way the whole game.

It’s the tight one score games that are the true test. Bowles record speaks for itself.

    4-12 in the last 16

    Another Fun Stat
Bucs win and Panthers loss this weekend and we’re basically in 1st in the NFCS
    That’s just sad.

Joe’s, I remember one of the largest ground games for yardage that the Buccaneers ever had.

It was that game against the Raiders years back when Doug Martin went home.

He had like 275 yards rushing in that game with four touchdowns I believe if I remember correct.

Now that wasn’t absolute be down in terms of running the ball, lol.

Good things happen when Baker isn’t allowed to lose the game.

Oops, that was supposed to say “that was an absolute beatdown of a team on the ground”…

    *************
    Pepperidge Farms remembers.

The Bucs are going to miss the Panthers DC when he’s gone. Evero has been a gift to a Bucs franchise beaten early and often by better versions of past Carolina defenses.

Also, the Bucs still don’t have a passing game, so hopefully fans won’t let the narco feeling of yesterday’s game go to their heads.

    Again Rod….get help…somewhere.

Rod Munch, seems like you’re back from vacation. I suggest we collect a pool and find you a new destination? Nah, just kidding. What’s another post without a ludicrously dumb comment from you? It’s amusing, you typically diarrhea all over the game day blogs, having a field day when we’re having a bad game. Nice game? Domination? I don’t want to call you a coward, so I won’t, but it seems awfully strange that you wouldn’t post during a game like that….
