Team Glazer And The Secret Sauce

October 26th, 2026

Two members of Team Glazer.

Joe loves when the Buccaneers organization shares a look at Team Glazer during interesting moments.

That happened after yesterday’s win.

The Bucs owners are hard to predict because they stay rather hidden from the public eye and media microphones (unless they’re starring in and promoting a 10-part team documentary).

So it always intrigues Joe to get a peek at Team Glazer in the Bucs’ locker room. The Bucs shared a snippet of Todd Bowles addressing his team after the win at Carolina, and Bryan, Joel and Avi Glazer are in the background looking toward Bowles and the camera. (Video below).

Joel Glazer is seen with a serious look on his face, but when Joe went all Zapruder on the film, Joel Glazer is seen smiling. Bryan and Avi Glazer are seen clapping along with players cheering after Bowles speaks.

Does Team Glazer really think Bowles, at 2-5, has captured the secret sauce to turning this embarrassing Bucs season around? Were they thinking maybe Bowles is the right man for the job in 2027?

You can study the film below.

Bowles is under contract through the 2028 season.

    They are 2 & 5. get serious

  2. SB~LV 🏈 Says:

If you can see a replay of yesterday’s broadcast…check the sly glances and grins on Bowels and JL’s faces as they walk to the middle of the field for handshakes with the other team
    Priceless!

  3. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“Win 3 in a row and you’ll get a Wednesday”

Bowles is funny because if we win the next 2 the Wednesday off will be during the bye week and they’re all off anyway. They are not guaranteed that Wednesday off. The labor agreement guarantees players 4 consecutive days off on a bye week. That’s it.–Joe Players still got excited for a “maybe” that’ll happen either way lol

  4. WM Says:

Fire Toilet Bowels he is garbage 1 win don’t mean sh*t

  5. Hodad Says:

They will add it up at seasons end like they always do before making a decision. We haven’t won at home yet, it’s November. Two months without a home win. I believe anything less than a division title, and a home playoff win will get Bowles canned. We’ll know more after the next two weeks. Loss at home to Atlanta, followed by a loss at Chicago should doom Todd, but let’s see.

  6. Roscoe P. Coltrane Says:

This team has lost so many close ones this year, they could easily be 4-3, or 5-2. Who doesn’t think the Bucs beat the Packers and Steelers if Baker was in? No rain delay vs. Cleveland and the Bucs win that game as well. The defense has actually been really good this year. There have been some instances where they have gave up a big drive (Pittsburgh in OT, Cleveland late in the 4th), but for the most part they have been way more consistent than the offense.

  7. Mike in MO Says:

I am not a Bowles supporter, but I am very happy for him, JL, and the team. I hope there are many more to come this season.

  8. Ron Potter Says:

I think you’re reading too much into it but who knows, sometimes I think there IS a script in the NFL. I would bet on the Glazers just being happy we won the way we did, just like the rest of us. I’m sure their concerns are also similar… “where’s our passing game?” “Can the defense be consistent under our defensive-minded HC?” “How can we get this to happen in our own stadium?” …still lots of questions looming ahead. Just happy in the present for a victory Monday! And happy for our players, seeing them feel victorious!

  9. Aceofaerospace Says:

I refuse to get excited unless we beat Atlanta and Chicago. Miami won yesterday. They beat a team that had a better record than the Bucs. History shows whenever bowels has a winning formula, he changes it. I expect him to do that again. Stupid is as stupid does.

  10. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“They are not guaranteed that Wednesday off. The labor agreement guarantees players 4 consecutive days off on a bye week. That’s it.–Joe”

Yes, this is true, but Bowles has usually had them come in Monday & Tuesday of a bye week and they get Wednesday to the Sunday off as a break. Also, Bowles has never had the team practice on a Wednesday during a bye week and it’s an extra day on top of the 4 day mandate.

I’ll rephrase, there’s a good chance these guys got hype for a day off they might get anyway, and the 3-game win streak to “earn” it might just be a coach-player challenge. We lose maybe he breaks tradition, but as of right now Bowles has never made his guys practice the Wednesday of a bye week as our HC.

  11. BakerFan Says:

You know the thing I notice on this here site, which contains some of the worst supposed to be Bucs Fans in the universe, they are the most negative miserable people in the universe. You can’t take the WIN as a positive and something to build on, you can’t take the 3 phases of the game ALL Scoring as a WIN (this does not happen that often) and maybe it is coming together. You will always have “YEAH BUT” which just shows how much negative energy you guys have.

Do I think this is a sign that the TEAM is turning the corner? Maybe

Do I think Bowles actually has this TEAM playing good defense? YES

Do I think Robinson has this O-Line coming together since Week 1? YES

Does winning a divisional game in this manner become contagious for more wins and believing in each other? ABSOLUTELY

Why don’t all you negative so called fans have a convention to make each other even more miserable and leave this site alone. It would be much better site if you do.

  12. AquaBum Says:

Bowles has this defense playing top 10 in the nfl, can’t ask for more.

Getting Dennis off the field was huge (who was covering Allen for that 50 yard any touchdown?)

Stoked to Bowles adjustments coming to fruition this year

  13. AquaBum Says:

Baker fan – likely because have the commenters either lost at bingo during their activity time or missed mid afternoon jello at the assisted living facility.

    I’d be perma pissed too

  14. jimmy Says:

    glazers RBF

  15. Jerseybuc Says:

Not going win every week like this. Hope our fearless leader knows this but this is favorite brand of 50s football put a long win streak together

  16. Coconut Doghnut Says:

    Great win fellas!

  17. DailyRich Says:

I said this over on Five Things, but as pleased as I am about the victory, a LOT of things bounced our way that aren’t guaranteed to happen every week. A muffed punt, a scoop and score, and a blocked PAT for 2 aren’t exactly common occurrences. Let’s not also forget the dropped pass on 4th and goal that would have definitely been a Carolina TD. So I’m not ready to say after one game that Bowles has improved his job security. We need to see sustainability.

  18. McBay Says:

Bowles is about to be under contract through the 2038 season. The big extension comes this week.

  19. Crickett Baker Says:

    Bakerfan–I loved your post.

  20. SB~LV 🏈 Says:

Joes gotta get a screenshot of Bowels and Licht exchanging glances walking off the field as time expired

  21. Newbie Says:

Where has this team been over the past 15 weeks where they were 3-12? We will see if they “stay focused” or lose another home game Sunday. Falcons will be a much harder matchup because they are tough to run on. And London and Pitts always kill Bowles defense. Glad Cousins in in Vegas.

  22. Tampa2ATL Says:

I, for one, bask in the glorious sunshine of Victory Monday. That was complete domination of division opponent in their own house.

    Savor it.

  23. ryan Says:

Last season and this season would have been a completely different outcome if the offense could have scored more than 20 points. Defense has played good enough to win. All

  24. Confido75 Says:

A blind man can see this team still has issues on offense. You can’t be one dimensional in this league against good defenses. Teams are going to load the box and stuff the run knowing A. BM is still injured. B. BM needs time to throw it. C. We need WRs who get open and can catch it. Run blocking and pass protection are not the same and the O line cannot pass protect consistently. Its one game against a bad team. The owners, JL and Bowles can spin this all they want but we see it for what it is.

  25. can-we-get-rid-of-Licht-for-godsake? Says:

    here are some facts :
this is the 32nd year of Glazer ownership –
16 of the last 31 were losing seasons –
made playoffs a dozen times and won a game in six of those years –
went to NFC game 3x and won two SB – yay
however 14 teams played more conference games – CAR 4x ATL 4x
one team has made playoffs with 0-4 start – 1992 Chargers
no team has ever made the playoffs with more than 9 losses
Bucs are 2-5 and CAR are 3-3
Bucs need 4 or fewer losses with away CHI DET BAL home LAR
Bucs need CAR to have 5 or fewer wins in next 11 games

Upshot of these facts : with the wins @ DAL CAR the Glazers will not care about the playoffs and Jason Licht / Todd Bowles will be retained next year

  26. Pops Malone Says:

He started 0-4 this year. He isn’t capable of leading this team to recover from that so even if they manage to get to 7 or 8 wins, he’s gone anyway. The old Bowles in season losing streak will finally catch up to him this year. Enough. Good bye.

  27. garro Says:

Happy for our dudes! Disappointed that so many so called fans seem incapable.

Lets do it again and make the birds believers.

    Go Bucs!

  28. can-we-get-rid-of-Licht-for-godsake? Says:

Here’s another unpleasant fact : only 5 head coaches have won a playoff game for the Bucs : John McKay – Tony Dungy – Jon Gruden – Bruce Arians
    …. and Todd Bowles
the Glazers care about these things

  29. Steven007 Says:

Baker fan, nice post. Agreed. And please include posters like McBay, who is simply a different kind of troll. But annoying nonetheless. Fake eye rolling positivity. Let’s at least keep it real. Wouldn’t be shocked if Munch simply changed his moniker and this is his new troll.

  30. Steven007 Says:

Can we get rid of, how many head coaches have won playoff games for the Steelers? Not sure what your point is?

  31. Steve V Says:

@Can we get rid of you please!! ..The 5 losses don’t me anything, the division records of the teams decided that..Its a 10 game season now tampa is 1 game back everyone who has a brain would love those odds.. With all those stats you served up sorry they dont mean sh!+..I wish I had all that time on my hands for a dissertation like that dont mean diddly

  32. SummerofGeorge Says:

4-12 in the last 16 games. Yep, let’s keep Bowles around for more championship runs!

Better sign him to another extension before the Chiefs come calling to replace Andy Reid.

Super Bowles is the very best that anyone could want in a HC\DC.

    HE won three division titles!!!!

  33. SummerofGeorge Says:

    Steve V Says:

“The 5 losses don’t me anything”

Dude, cut your meds in half please.

Toilet Bowels can’t even win a home game and you’re waving the Pom Poms so fast that a hurricane is brewing in the Gulf.

Just wait until he’s 2-8. You might just anoint him as the new Pope.

  34. can-we-get-rid-of-Licht-for-godsake? Says:

Steven007 – my point is that the Bucs have been poor to mediocre for most of the 50 years of Culverhouse and Glazers with three brief eras of success – the Glazers got a taste of decent coaching with Dungy-Gruden but then tolerated Morris-Schiano-Smith-Koetter – then they got a whiff of success with Arians – I totally agree with your suggestion that Bucs coaches consistently underperform teams such as the Steelers Patriots 49ers Chiefs etc – but the Glazers will tolerate long periods of crap as long as they get a little dopamine rush every once in a while – SuperBowl LV did that – this is sorta like the Gruden years after SB 37 –
Bowles ain’t the answer but he’s just good enough to not completely embarrass the Glazers – he won a single playoff game and some division titles but that’s his ceiling – the Glazers want to go on autopilot if they can because Licht keeps feeding them hopium – they got lucky with Brady – they hope that somehow lightning strikes with Bowles because they aren’t engaged aggressive visionary owners – they don’t want to cause the disruption that would transform the Bucs into the Niners Patriots Steelers or Bills – and that’s why the Glazers are gonna keep Bowles and Licht

  35. can-we-get-rid-of-Licht-for-godsake? Says:

Steve V – the folks at FanDuel and DraftKings called – your account is overdrawn and they need a fresh cash infusion – and the folks at the 1-800-GAMBLER hotline called too – they were flagged when you put down that big parley bet on the Bucs to win the Super Bowl

  36. Beeej Says:

You think THIS is bad, you should read the gameday thread. We’re up 30 points and most of the posts are “Bowles sucks”

  37. toopanca Says:

Oh Voices of Hate and Doom,

Did you listen to the man speak?

Did you note the recipe for Joe’s Special Sauce?

    Coach Bowles said these words:
“… that’s what team football is all about right there!
    – Run the ball down (their) throat!
    – Turnovers on defense!
    – Do a hell of a job on coverage on special teams!
That’s what it’s supposed to look like!”

The failures this season, last season and the season before came when offensive coordinators abandoned the first ingredient – “Run the ball down (their) throat.” Sticking with that ingredient requires game day courage and commitment that the Bucs offensive coordinators have found difficult to sustain.

    49 runs! 11 passes!

5.3 yards per run; 5.8 yards per pass attempt.

The average yards per attempt is inflated by about a yard per carry by Tucker’s big run late in the game – success is anything close to 4 yards per attempt. But, those big stat inflating, game sealing runs often come late in the game when you keep pounding the rock. 30 runs averaging close to 4 yards per carry is a 100 yard rushing game which is tightly linked to victory!

The Bucs are 6th in the NFL in 2026 with 4.8 yards per rush attempt. 28th in the NFL in 2026 with 5.8 yards per pass attempt. This Bucs team must be a run first team with limited, disciplined, opportunistic passing set up by the run.

I posted this last week and it is vindicated by yesterday’s game:

Play Baker. Don’t play Baker. It Doesn’t Matter!!!

The plays that are called on game day are what matter!

The Bucs have a strong run offense! The Bucs are 6th in the NFL in yards per rush attempt with 4.8 yards per rush attempt!!! The Bucs are 28th in the NFL for yards per pass attempt. Run or pass? Is that a tough question???

39 runs and 25 passes vs the Cowboys – Winners!

25 runs and 43 passes vs the Steelers – Losers!!!

On the season, Bucs 161 runs and 194 passes with 22 sacks allowed and 7 interceptions – Losers!!!

Yards per rush attempt against the Steelers – 4.1! Yards per pass attempt against the Steelers – 2.5!!! Leading by 10 points or more for literally Half of the Game, why were the Bucs passing on 62% of plays while averaging 2.5 yards per on over half of their plays?

Why not run on 60% of plays and average 4.1 yards on over half of their plays?

For the two quarters where the Bucs had a 10 point lead, if the Bucs had run on 60% of their plays on offense like they did against the Cowboys, the clock runs our before the Steelers make their comeback, at least one interception is never thrown, the Bucs are 2-3, and the conversations this week are totally different.

Run the damn ball!!! Or just give up and have a fire sale for draft picks and keep play draft bingo!

  38. Oxycondomns Says:

I wonder which of the 3 Glazers got must turned on by being in the locker room

  39. RV Guy Says:

Jason Lighy can be seen in the background frowning. Maybe he’s pissed that they gave up another low draft pick.

  40. Tackleblockwin Says:

Why do they take days off when you are 2-5. Can’t they at least study film on Monday with rehab etc.

  41. Buc1987 Says:

    Bowles still sucks.

BakerFan and others who do not like the cynicism expressed on this site :
if you like positivity and happytalk go over to Buccaneers.com the official team site – it has lots of stats and heartwarming stories – you’d like that – but many fans .. yes fans .. don’t buy the hype – they have been around long enough to remember the pre-1997 ineptitude – the blacked-out games etc – Dungy & Gruden reinvigorated the fanbase and EVERYBODY was Lloyd Christmas which was great – then no playoff wins until Brady – due to sheer stupidity – and we’re supposed to get excited about losing and Josh McCown – so we fans know what mismanagement of the franchise looks like – and we’re gonna call it out when we see it – warts and all

  43. Outrigger Says:

Don’t look now but Todd is 6 wins away from keeping his job for another season (say it ain’t so). That will get the Bucs to 8-9 and another division title and home playoff game. I know 6 more wins sounds far fetched but this defense is really good. If our anemic (until yesterday) offense can score 20 points a game and win the turnover battle, this team can win alot of its remaining games. This team is very talented. If we had a descent coach like John Harbaugh, we would be at least 5-2 right now.

  44. Buddha Says:

Yes 4-12 in last 16. That’s a fact! Also 2-1 in last 3. DVOA, the premier statistical site for Pro Football has the Buccaneers #8. #6 is KC. #7 is Minnesota. Right below Tampa are Rams and Steelers. Tampa Defense is top 5 playing against several Top 10 offenses–Cincy, Dallas, and Carolina. Other NFC South Teams: Carolina #13, Atlanta #18, New Orleans #29. Of course, the only thing that matters is wins and losses, 2-5.
NFC East and AFC South now ranked below NFC South.

My take: Despite record, Tampa is vastly improved over last year when they started with last minute victories over Atlanta and Houston that involved considerable luck. The team’s difficulty is in crunch time. Still, this team is controlling the clock. In the last three games, they have had a significant advantage in time of possession. I like what I’m seeing. However, the passing game has got to improve. Atlanta game is huge. It will be all about tackling Robinson. They beat a banged up 49ers game on a short week for injury-riddled 49ers w/o Mike Evans and, for most of the game, hobbled all pro halfback. Victory over the Falcons will do world of good for confidence. The remaining schedule is weaker and only the Rams game in Los Angeles is scary.

  47. Buddha Says:

By-the-way, Mike Evans has an achilles injury. Team not saying much, but that could be serious for a guy whose mi is jumping. I said before the season that Mike would likely miss 4-6 games.

  48. can-we-get-rid-of-Licht-for-godsake? Says:

toopanca rocks – very good argument for a run-based offense –

PFF had this to say about Zac Robinson :

‘The Falcons led the NFL in yards per RPO last season (6.3), making them one of the few offenses to average more yards on RPOs than on all other plays.
Despite that success, when the Falcons found themselves in the biggest moments — specifically, on third and fourth downs in the fourth quarter of one-score games — Robinson didn’t call a single RPO across 107 offensive plays.”

what toopanca says about evidence-based playcalling makes a lot of sense

  49. Buddha Says:

Warren Brooks Lynch. In other words, you are the paradigm case of a fair-weather fan. Good thing you don’t live in Buffalo.

Amen Baker fan 100% agree The gurus on here should take the win and hope it continues. There’s no guarantee’s in the NFL, but one thing is for sure, after going 1-5 the coaches and players didn’t quit. That’s on the head coach whether you like him or not. Kudos to Coach Bowles
