Game 7

Bucs at Stinking Panthers

Kickoff: 1 p.m.

TV: FOX (WTVT-TV Channel 13, locally) with Kevin Kugler, windy Daryl “Moose” Johnston and Allison Williams.

Streaming: FOX One, NFL+. (Geographic restrictions may apply; subscription may be required).

Radio: Buccaneers Radio Network WXTB-FM 97.9 in the Tampa-St. Petersburg region with Tony Castricone, Dave Moore and Jay Recher. (Transmisiones de radio en español en WTMP-FM 96.1 y WMGG-AM 1470 en Tampa, con Santiago Gramática y Martin Gramática.). Additional stations throughout Florida carrying the game on the Buccaneers Radio Network can be found here. The game will also be broadcast on SiriusXM Channel 262 (Buccaneers Radio Network feed).

Weather: Fall is in full effect in the Carolinas. Per AccuWeather.com, temperatures for tailgaters mid-morning are expected to be 54 degrees. That will warm up to 63 at kickoff and gradually rise to 70 degrees at game’s end. All under sunny skies. Perfect football weather!

Odds: Per Hard Rock Bet, as of midnight, Bucs +3 (-115); over/under 44.5.

Referees: Carl Cheffers and his gang will work today’s game. Per Sharp Football Analysis. And given the intel, it points to a Carolina win. In games worked by Clark’s outfit, the home team is 101-64 since 2016.

Injuries:

Outlook: Joe really doesn’t know what to make of this Bucs team. The defense has played really well even though a pass rush is as much of a rumor as Jimmy Hoffa being buried at Giants Stadium. The Bucs blitz like nuts but never get home. But apparently, the blitzing freaks out opposing quarterbacks enough to rattle them often. The offense is absolutely horrid. It just blows Joe away how the offense with so much talent can be this bad. Please name one player that’s improved under offensive coordinator Zac Robinson. Just one. Every player on offense has taken a step back except Tristan Wirfs. Every one. That damning evidence of how awful Robinson has been . The Bucs need to score no less than 21 points today. Joe doesn’t know how they do that without Emeka Egbuka and Luke Goedeke. And if the Bucs don’t win, Joe doesn’t know how they recover from 1-6.

Trotter ranks third among rookies with 48 tackles this season. … OLB David Walker had 5 tackles and his first two-sack game of his NFL career-high last week. … OLB YaYa Diaby has a tackle for loss in four of his past five games against Carolina. … CB Zyon McCollum had a season-high 11 tackles and a pass defensed in the overtime loss to the Steelers. “blitzing freaks out opposing quarterbacks enough to rattle them”. This needs to be changed to “rattle one or two of them”.

  4. FortMyersDave Says:

Go Bucs but I can see Bowles playing not to lose and then having his D bend and finally break down the stretch like they always do. Baker is a wildcard. If the D shows up, he will probably turn the ball over 3 or 4 times. If the D gets boatraced, Baker will probably have a stellar day, granted a lot of his stats will be padded garbage time numbers. It is hard to expect a W with Zac and Bowles running things.

Love the Bucs since ‘76 but hoping for a loss ! Go Panthers and drive the stake in their heart . Losing is the only way the Glazers will get it !

  6. SB~LV 🏈 Says:

The good news is that we have a starting quarterback for the next few years while rebuilding .
So if the Bucs have a chance to draft the future quarterback THIS YEAR and let him watch, play a little and learn the Bucs will be the next quarterback for the future.
    Yes … draft a Quarterback
    Then address the other positions.
    Big picture, long term plan
