Bucs Nearing Unwelcome Record
October 24th, 2026
Sad streak.
Here are ugly numbers that aptly represent an ugly team with an ugly record.
Since the Bucs’ bye week last season, KitKat-eating Bucs coach Todd Bowles is 3-12 through 15 games. Here is the record of some other Bucs coaches in their last 15 games with Tampa Bay.
Lousy Lovie Smith 6-9
Raheem Morris 4-11
Greg Schiano 4-11
Dirk Koetter 4-11
Todd Bowles 3-12
Are we having fun yet?
So the following really shouldn’t shock any Bucs fans. This comes by way of BSPN’s research gerbils.
Each of the Buccaneers’ past 12 games has been decided by one score (eight or fewer points), the longest active streak in the NFL and tied for the second-longest streak in NFL history, trailing only the 1989-90 Chargers (14).
Yeah, that’s pretty sad. But is it sadder that the Bucs have been 3-12 in their last 15 games?
More and more, this seems to Joe like the 2014 season. The team appeared to be in chaos starting in training camp and nothing went right and it all went downhill from there.
And before knew it, America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, was the face of the franchise.
Is Darian Mensah the next Sunshine State quarterback to be the face of the Bucs franchise, or will Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht go with defensive beast Colin Simmons?

Setting a record for the softest tank EVER! WE’RE NUMBER ONE!
But at this point, im all for it….all good.
October 24th, 2026 at 8:15 am
Shouldve listened to the rest of us and made Liam the HC…..oh well.
October 24th, 2026 at 8:17 am
Licht’s first year in 2014 was 2-14
Licht’s (hopefully) last year in 2026 will be 2-15
that is his legacy
October 24th, 2026 at 8:19 am
What do
Todd Monken
David Canales
Liam Coen
have in common
Glazers?
😆😆😆😆
and we have left holding the bag with Jason and Todd cashing and trashing
October 24th, 2026 at 8:28 am
I wouldn’t assume Licht will be making the choice? I for one hope not. Speaking of the Hurricanes, why not make a play for their coach too? Mario Chrisabol, and his QB. Bring Bains DC, with Jason Taylor too?
October 24th, 2026 at 8:32 am
Both offensive and defensive linemen are showing JL’s reaches in drafting
October 24th, 2026 at 8:32 am
Look, im not an apologist for Jason. He’s made some dmn good draft picks, at the behest of some posters here. He doesnt coach and he sure as heck doesnt scheme designed plays or manage the clock.
You guys that want to be all over Jason, go ahead. I got his back. We hit and we miss on picks and FA….sometimes it works sometimes it dont.
The main problem RIGHT NOW is Todd and Zack.
WHO NAVIGATES THIS SHIP WHEN ITS ON THE WATERS?
HC/DC/OC
BOTTOM LINE, FN PERIOD!
October 24th, 2026 at 8:43 am
Good GMs make better hires than Zac, and Grizz. They also don’t stick with a loser coach like Bowles. We’ve been a mess since last mid season, and Licht being here 13 years now is responsible. Fans who think he’s still part of the solution are delusional.
October 24th, 2026 at 8:43 am
No glory in Mudville…
It’s a sad state of affairs.
To quote the Joker – “This town needs an enema!”
October 24th, 2026 at 8:44 am
Marine Buc, and a good flush!
October 24th, 2026 at 8:47 am
@ Mad
Are you really defending the GM of a 1-5?
Have you ever looked at the list of our GM’s 2nd round picks?
Did our “ROH” really have a choice except drafting T. Wirfs? He was the only OT left…
What else does this roster have besides overpaid resignies and old delapted overpaid free agents?
Give it a rest already.
October 24th, 2026 at 8:49 am
*Dilapidated
October 24th, 2026 at 8:56 am
Lost games within ONE FN SCORE, you mthrfk!!!!
But go ahead and dig and play your low iq no life trolling “mari_e”
I like your takes at times but the others make me want to reach through the screen and put my knee on your vegas nerve!
October 24th, 2026 at 9:02 am
Marine
Who’s your choice for a new GM if we give Jason the boot?
October 24th, 2026 at 9:03 am
@Hodad, this looks like its all a Glazers decision. And i like the way they’re not a Jerry Jones type….but they do their thing. Nothing you can do about it but complain and whine and suggest.
Im sorry, but Jason’s hands are tied to them….all good. When we win the SB in 2029, you’ll understand.
October 24th, 2026 at 9:04 am
I don’t blame the Glazers for not launching Todd after he won 10 games in ’24, but not launching him LAST season cost us Todd Monken as our HC
October 24th, 2026 at 9:08 am
Like always, JL is silent and sitting on his hands right now. NO in season deadline trades ever. Contemplating how to mess up the cap even worse than it is probably. JL should get canned in season so the new GM can be scouting the new coach. Please do as little as possible JL. You know how to do that.
October 24th, 2026 at 9:09 am
@ Aqua
Me and a dart board…
I wouldn’t be any worse than we currently have.
October 24th, 2026 at 9:11 am
@ Aqua
Honestly – you would have to consider Mike Greenburg as the heir replacement.
I am just weary of his player scouting and player personnel knowledge…
I would have to do a little more research beyond that TBH.
October 24th, 2026 at 9:19 am
What is sad is the fact that most of the one score games are garbage points scored while the opposition is up big late in the game. The Bucs ALWAYS find a way to storm back when the game is pretty much out of hand.
October 24th, 2026 at 9:20 am
Oh Mari_e, your’e a darter? lol I won many with those triple 20’s
October 24th, 2026 at 9:24 am
Mayfield pulls something out of his azz..Wins Sunday.Prolongs the doom and gloom for all the haters …Go Bucs! 😬
October 24th, 2026 at 9:26 am
@ Mad
Full disclosure – I suck at darts…
That’s my point.
I would just have a bunch of names on a dart board – then I would spin around about 10 times – then I would chug a beer – then I would throw the dart…
Whichever name I hit on the dart board I will draft.
That method would be superior to our current GM’s method.
I hope this tutorial has helped you.
October 24th, 2026 at 9:35 am
NFC South title at 7-10! Just win, baby!
October 24th, 2026 at 9:35 am
@ Steve V
It’s interesting that the PS is still just 3 points…
I would take the Panthers at home and lay the 3.
Do you really expect Baker Mayfield’s performance to improve while using the “robo-glove”?
I highly doubt it.
It will be a close game but Baker will still be Baker and he does not have EE and he does not have Mr. Goedonkey at RT…
Oh yes – Baker will be protected by Mr. Skule – or as I like to call him – “Mr. Gave up 7 sacks in Detroit guy”…
Oh yes – this will be a fantastical voyage my friends.
Just please remember one thing – I love all Buc fans!
October 24th, 2026 at 9:37 am
The next few games will determine whether players like Vita Vea, Godwin and others become cast-offs for future draft picks. If the Bucs lose to Carolina on Sunday there season is over. Again the lose of Evans and David’s leadership was too much for this team to handle.
Expect Todd Bowles and Zak Robinson departure.
Trading key players for future draft picks will be the Bucs game plan for 2027.
The Bucs have the nucleus of a good team. It’s now about finding a good offensive coach to lead the Bucs.
This Sunday could be the DAY OF RECKONING.
October 24th, 2026 at 9:38 am
Jim I don’t agree w the Bucs always go down big and get garbage points at the end ,, Most of these games were winnable or at least in range to tie at the end. This is where coaching comes in, up by 10 against Atl we all know what happened there. I expect another close one tomorrow , Bowles is either dead coach walking tomorrow night or he lives to fight another day

Broken Record, we get it! STFU FFS!
October 24th, 2026 at 9:42 am
ok I see why some of you want to give Licht a pass : Super Bowl XXXVII
I get it – but let’s review :
Rich McKay was GM 1994-2003 – Licht GM 2014-present
Monte Kiffin 96-08 Dungy 96-01 Gruden 02-08 Arians 19-21
McKay went to work in 94 and Kiffin-Dungy arrived in 96 – the team started winning in 97 and Dungy was fired after 01 – Gruden added WRs RB won SB
Gruden was the “secret sauce” that won the SB – more on that later
Licht went to work in 14 and had no success to 19 – Brady in 20 won SB
Brady was the “secret sauce” that won the SB
ask yourself : what did the Bucs roster look like in 2001 vs 2019 ?
Dungy-Kiffin-McKay had built a team that was successful without Gruden
Licht-Arians had built a team that was a failure without Brady
McKay left the year after the SB – Licht should have left the year after the SB
October 24th, 2026 at 9:47 am
What happened to Rod Munch? Hope he’s ok.
3-13. It’s over. Yes, we could squeak out some games and end up 8-9 and win the division. If that means bringing Bowles back, then no thanks. I can swallow a 3-14 season if that means major changes.
I also agree about hiring the Hurricanes staff. We simply can’t continue with Bowles and his crew.
October 24th, 2026 at 9:51 am
Evans!! Mr. I played 5 games the last 2 seasons in Tampa! UGH!! What a great worker leader…When he’s here!!
October 24th, 2026 at 9:55 am
“We are really proud of Todd. He does not lose by two scores, and most coaches cant say that. So, we have extended him for five more years. Really have faith in him and his results”. — Glazers
October 24th, 2026 at 9:56 am
@ 74
“What happened to Rod Munch? Hope he’s ok.”
Most folks have the common sense to stop commenting and caring about a 1-5 football team.
Or maybe Rod is chilling on a beach in the Carribean and getting away from this mess of a football season.
Wherever he is – I wish him well and I have to say – I don’t blame you bud.
Ain’t much to debate about round these parts amigo…
October 24th, 2026 at 9:58 am
Bowles winning percentage as NFL head coach.
Jets-.375
Bucs-.443
Need I say more. Wave the 🏳️!
October 24th, 2026 at 10:01 am
Licht should meet with Bowles, in private, and tell him that he will be retired at the end of the season. This info should be only between these two, and not the entire organization Then, he needs to tell HC candidates that they are in play, especially inactive coaches like Tomlin and Sean McDermott. It’s way too early to talk about draft picks when we don’t have a ’27 head coach and when this season’s trades aren’t done.
October 24th, 2026 at 10:05 am
Mike Evans had enough and he bounced for less money and higher taxes.
He now has a real HC, real GM, real QB1, real defense, real offense.
Pretending to be a football team while getting the bag is only good enough for losers.
Todd was handed a contender and turned it into a laughing stock immediately.
Licht kept him around as a scapegoat for his failures at roster construction.
October 24th, 2026 at 10:08 am
Nah… it’s the Glazers. And those who don’t understand that ARE delusional.
I’m with Mad Max on this one. Licht has absolutely BLOWN some opportunities at “trade deadlines”. That’s just a fact. Also GUILTY of NOT providing reasonable O linemen when we were DESPERATE (again, trade deadline for Brady and Mayfield while we lost two / three o linemen and NEEDED HELP beyond the bums that were laying around)
Besides that… WE HAVEN’T HAD A COACH TO “COACH UP” any of the talent to TRULY make a accurate judgment call on “what Could Have been”..
The GLAZERS ARE making the bottom line decisions. Licht WILL do as he’s told or he losses his job just like EVERYBODY ELSE on the planet..
He does other than what the clueless glazers WANT or he’s fired! What don’t you guys understand about that?
EVERYBODY KNOWS WHO called the shot on “extensions”! It ain’t Licht. As EVERYBODY RECALLS, Licht was AGAINST the Mayfield AND Vea extensions without proof of play. Something MUST HAVE HAPPENED?? O yeah, the GLAZERS over roaded THOSE DECISIONS!
Ge it? THE GLAZERS…. Come on..
October 24th, 2026 at 10:13 am
Adding to some of my statements, Bowles INFACT has SCREWED UP the heads of the ENTIRE DEFENSE and ESPECIALLY the D line and how they HAVE ALWAYS played ball. It’s kinda clear EVERY YEAR that guess what? IT IS NOT WORKING!
That’s NOT Jason Licht! THAT’S TODD BOWLES!
And if the glazers WON’T LET HIM…., Licht CAN’T GET RID OF BOWLES!
Get it???
October 24th, 2026 at 10:20 am
@ Obvious One
Why have a GM if the GM isn’t responsible for anything except which flavor of Gator-Aid they serve at the ping-pong tables?
Seriously?
Come on man!
You got to give me something other than your speculation of the inter-workings at OBP…
I do agree the Glazers are not the brightest candles on the menorah but our GM is currently steering this lost vessel.
October 24th, 2026 at 10:28 am
Yeah I agree with Marine Buc. The GM is paid to assemble the roster and coaching staff.
Sure, his recommendations can be vetoed by ownership at any time.
But they are in fact paying him to advise them on the best direction for the franchise.
Licht is a toadie for BA and that’s a big reason Todd is still employed.
Putting it all on the Glazers is a cop out. We also need a new GM.
October 24th, 2026 at 10:30 am
Do you want Licht gone??? I don’t want to give him a pass, I just want the broken record to Stop. Worse than Joe talking about sacks smh.
October 24th, 2026 at 10:40 am
Professor,
Handed a contender??!!
lol……..
October 24th, 2026 at 10:43 am
@Mari_e good try but keep trolling…my patience is thin and not wasting time anymore.
But good luck, do you my brotha….everyone here has your fingerprint….your broadcast of trolling is shining so bright….im sure you’re jerking it to this
October 24th, 2026 at 10:54 am
Marine the list is very long on what good Jason has done and it’s longer than the mistakes he’s made. I will defend him. Y’all really think he has control to fire the coach come on your not as smart as you think you are if you really think he has all that control. Glazers make the decisions. As for drafting he’s far better than most in the nfl. I know he’s not perfect and has made mistakes what GM doesn’t. This team is full of talent at every level whether you think so or not. What’s your record as GM oh wait you’re not one. What’s my record oh wait I’m not one either.
October 24th, 2026 at 10:56 am
@ MadMax
Todd and Zack, as you call them are symptoms of the true main problem which always has been and always will be the ownership. They are the reason Bowles wasn’t launched after his first season as HC. They are one who retained Bowels even after the 2025 collapse which included Bowels losing the team, losing to garbage division opponents along the way and not to mention 3rd and 28. It was their bad decision to retain Bowels that led to Evans leaving (you may argue it was Licht’s decision, but all he did was tell them what they wanted to hear).
They don’t have it in them to be winning professional sports team winners. Just look at what they have done to Manchester U.
Super Bowl in 2029? Pfffft!
October 24th, 2026 at 11:03 am
Dammit boy, i got it… Mari_e is close to ownership….
alright im out with his playing around
you guys know how to deal with homeless people when they ask for change and you’re walking in a hurry to get to work…ignore
its all good
So everything is ok….so many years ahead to look forward to….just chill 🙂
October 24th, 2026 at 11:14 am
JL/Steichen/Schwartz,, 13-4 with those 2 coaches and basically the same team. For the guy that said McDermitt, he is a good culture changer and can build culture but that’s about it,,, We need an offensive coach that calls plays , that our Offense can run the same plays for 4 or 5 years plus. (See Sf,Rams, Bills, Chiefs , Jags, Bears, GB) The elite D coaches are great but when they lose a top OC tend to struggle (see Seattle , Eagles-Stiechen, Eagles -Moore) ,, Would be nice to not have to learn a new offense every year
October 24th, 2026 at 11:40 am
WHich GM has the MOST LOSSES in the salary cap ERA(excluded Jerrah and Bill B)?
JASON BLUE LICHT SPECIAL
94-109 losses
ONE HUNDRED AND NINE!!!!!
He’s an all-time loser that won a Brady scratch off. He’s an insurance salesman disguised as an NFL GM.
Time to go. We should all help him pack.
October 24th, 2026 at 12:27 pm
Had Bowles not been given an extension prior,he most likely would’ve been fired last year. Glazers didn’t want to eat the $. Hindsight is 20/20. Few thought canales would turn out to be a solid hc. He had just been oc for 1 year for us. Coen was offered big money to stay, but took jags job at the last minute. The one that hurts, to me, is monken. He was in the building this pre season. He had a good history with the organization. Bowles took Zach over him…then Cleveland happened for him.
October 24th, 2026 at 12:40 pm
More like “unlikely.”
Chucky got a massive extension less than a year before he was fired. Extensions have never stopped Team Glazer from moving on.
(This “extension” happened over a year ago. Why is that even being brought up now? Do we know the Glazers don’t have an out clause in the contract?)
And then there’s this little documented nugget: The Glazers have neh-vah dismissed a head coach midseason. Given how close the Glazers are to Bowles, Joe doesn’t expect that tradition to be broken this year.
Remember: it’s a good thing not to make a change. More losses = better draft pick.
