Big Day For Emeka Egbuka Loading?

September 17th, 2026

Numbers suggest a reason to celebrate for Emeka Egbuka.

If you just look at the numbers, they suggest Emeka Egbuka ought to have a helluva day come Sunday against the hapless Cleveland Browns.

The Bucs, per Sharp Football Analysis, had the second-highest presnap motion rate in the entire NFL in Week 1. And when the Bucs did use presnap motion, the main target was Egbuka, who was targeted on 30 percent of the pass attempts when the Bucs used motion.

Why does Joe bring this up? Because in their Sunday loss to Jags, the Browns got lit up by Trevor Lawrence, who used presnap motion a little over half of the Jags’ offensive plays,

Lawrence had a 73 percent completion percentage on passes when Liam Coen used presnap motion.

So if the Browns bend over on passes off presnap motion, and Egbuka was the biggest Bucs target on plays when presnap motion was used, it stands to reason Egbuka could blow up on Sunday against Cleveland at The Licht House.

Now if only Egbuka would stop this nasty habit of vanishing from the Bucs offense, he may lead the Bucs to victory all by himself.

Feels like a classic trap game. Hopefully not.

If e2 is in motion, yet passes the line of scrimmage, it’s unlikely that Baker will target him.

Baker has singlehandedly cost the Buccaneers 5 of their last 6 games – they’re 1-5 over that time. The Browns are 2-4 over that same span.

This literally can’t be a trap game for the Bucs.

Shedeur Sanders comes in to replace Watson in this game. I just have a feeling. We gonna put a hurting on the Browns Sunday. I will be happy to see a pass rush from the Bucs, and Baker play smart ball.

I’d actually be more worried with him right now than what I’ve seen from Watson, who is a shell of his former self.

With that said, this should be an easy victory of the Bucs – and I expect Baker to have a big day. Although, as I go through more film, I’m not as confident in that as I was a couple of days ago. Hopefully, though, Baker can finally look like a legit NFL QB, because he’s been awful now for a long time, and hasn’t had a good game since week 6 of last season.

Thank gawd we don’t have Davis or Dean anymore. Monkin would be licking his chops fer sure if we did. I thought our secondary played pretty good last week except for ‘coverage’ on Gisieki. This one should be a very hard fought close game. Both teams are winless and both teams players are getting paid well to perform. Go Bucs

Sadly, in our D linebackers usually cover tight ends

Just who do we think we are thinking this is a trap game lol “cmon man.” And there is no such thing as a trap game when you are also coming off a loss

    27-20 Browns

Todd and Baker are 2-8 in their last 10 and just are a complete clown show

  14. Hodad Says:

And Lawrence wasn’t throwing 3 yard passes.

i dont think this is going to be an easy win at all….

imo, Browns will be licking their chops to face baker…and the browns might put Sanders in which would definitely provide a spark for their team….

    GO BUCS!!!!

  16. Badbucs Says:

Who is covering Fannin? Oh yea, no one.

  17. Oscar Says:

That’s a logical supposition especially since the Browns are playing more zone coverage in this defense. If it’s man coverage and Denzel Ward is covering Emeka, it won’t be so easy. Lawrence completed a ton of tight window throws and those defensive backs for the Browns can cover when playing man coverage.
