Of course we will miss him. When he was healthy he was damn near dominant at times. We will add some guys the closer we get to camp or after. But they better play ST
I think so right now, because we’ve yet to hear/see what the CB competition is looking like between McCollum-Morrison-Parrish(&maybe Scott on a matchup basis) to feel as if we’ll be alright without Dean. Obviously missed him when he was injured, but it showed in some games last season in real-time.
Won’t truly know this until we’re a few games into the season, but I know for certain Morrison is going to have a target on his chest once the season goes live. Even if it sounds like he’s all world in camp, I think teams are going to test him early and often, as he has no reputation around the league.
Oh, we will miss Dean sorely. Especially if McCollum and/or Morrison don’t play well. China doll or not, he was our best corner when available. Morrison seems like he might develop, but he is even more fragile than Dean. Maybe McCollum will learn to focus, but I just really think he’s just a dim bulb.
Maybe, but our CBs just need to take a step in development. Cover their guys and opposing QBs will hold onto the ball 2-3 seconds longer…and we’ll see sacks.
Our younger CBs still have a couple years of development before the can become great. But if they are driven, they can become better this year.

No. And they won’t miss Evans or David or Vtady or Mike Alstott or Dave Reavis.
Moving on.

I’ll miss him even less when I see him sitting on the Steeler’s sidelines injured.

Maybe not Dean, but they still need a good vet CB. I am afraid that the outside corners are going to be bad this season.

Your best ability is your availability.

Of course not!!

Voted not sure. Depends on the health of the secondary.
If Dean plays well in Pitt and injuries strike us, we will miss him.
If injuries don’t strike, I think we are fine without the oft injured Dean and the salary he would command.

Get Real!

They’ll miss him even if Morrison and Zyon shine.
Can’t have too many corners especially if they’re above average – which Dean was/is.

No. The Bucs will miss a competent DC.
