I’m predicting the Bucs finish 10-7 and win the NFC South. The schedule is tough with games against the Bengals, Ravens, Lions, Rams, Cowboys, and Bears, but Baker has proven he can keep this team competitive.
Losing ME13 and LT is huge, but the division is still VERY winnable. If the defense improves and TAMPA BAIN and Co. step up, our BUCCANEERS absolutely have playoff potential!!!
I went with 9 but I lean closer to 10 than 8.
For tht fudge factor. We will win a weak division. I’ll worry about who the wildcard might be around Christmas.
I believe our starting 5 on the offensive line feels like they let us down last season. They did. I also believe they’re conniving, right about now, about ways to rectify that shortchanging. Beards are unkempt, tempers may be flaring, and a sense of urgency is prodding those boys. I don’t care how tough you are. Wirfs, Goedecke, Barton, Mauch, and Bredeson in unison are a very nasty bunch. With an improved defense and some fire on our special teams, it’s gonna come down to how healthy can we stay and how much better our depth is. Some of these guys have been around long enough to know how good they can be. And that’s good enough to play with anybody on this schedule. In fact, I don’t believe the schedule could have shook out any more in our advantage. 13 wins. For starters.
There’s a fine line between realism and being blindly negative too. Nobody’s saying the Bucs are guaranteed to win 12 games, but acting like 9+ wins is “crazy” for a team that’s won the division multiple straight years is just emotional hating at this point.
13 wins for Todd? 13 wins for a team that was the worst in the back half last year? 13 wins after losing Mike, LD, and Dean? 13 wins for a team under Todd that always losses 4 in a row? 13 wins for a division that has improved? 13 wins for Zyon and Benmo as our starting corners?
8 and 9 is realistic.
Not trying to be pessimistic, but come on. Good teams dont sink after 5 and 1.
Blind negativity doesn’t make you a smarter fan either. Every offseason people predict high and low —that’s what fans do. Nobody’s “shouting down” opinions, we just don’t all agree with doom-and-gloom takes in May.
We still have talent on both sides of the ball, and upgraded areas they needed to address. Could they disappoint? Sure. But acting like 7-10 is some guaranteed football prophecy is just as biased as predicting 9-12 wins.
At the end of the day, realistic fans can still be optimistic fans. That’s part of enjoying football.
I truly do feel bad for Canales, Coen, and now Robinson that they have to deal with this bungling fool whose defense would get toasted by most college teams. Hand the reins over to Robinson and let him bring in his own defensive coach so we can wash the IBS taste out of our mouth
The Defense will be improved. The Offense is what it is. And, that is not good. They’ll do real good to get to 4-5 at the Bye. Best case scenario is 2-7 (or 3-6), so that we can collect as MANY ‘picks’ as humanly possible before the trade deadline, and then TANK for the 2027-Draft. And, that includes moving Baker to a team well situated for a playoffs run, but desperate for a veteran QB due to an injury to their starter (a la Stafford and the Rams – not wanting to turn to the rookie). If we can get a 2027 4th there (or if two teams were bidding), for just a rental on an expiring contract, while improving our chances at tanking for a Top-5 Pick… It’s a total “Win-Win” ? All. Day. Long. None of this BS trying to SAVE Lickt & Bowles’ Jobs. Recognize the REALITY ASAP and just finally rip the band-aid OFF. It is loooong overdue, and should be very easy to see when the time comes.
@Borimex 813 Says: “We still have talent on both sides of the ball.”
“TALENT!?” :/ What Talent!? How many “Pro-Bowlers” has THIS Roster produced over the past several seasons!? Forget “ALL-PROS.” How many “Pro-Bowlers” has JL even drafted over the past 5-DRAFTS… Do YOU even understand just HOW HARD that is to accomplish nowadays, in the modern game with how they determine WHO plays in the “Pro-Bowl!?” You’d almost have to TRY TO. So, I don’t know what “TALENT” you are referring to!? I mean, it’s ABSURD. Absolutely, DELUSIONAL. It’s Fantasy.
Looks like we catch the lions in detriot after their game in germany. Lions play 3 games in 11 days with the bucs in the middle, should be an opportunity
7 wins will prob be the official Over-Under betting line for this season, and I’d be torn about which direction to bet. I’d prob take the over, but Bowles is still our HC, so I wouldn’t expect much more than 7-9 wins max.
Bucs defense was 10th in points allowed
Bucs offense was 28th in points forced
In 2025, Bucs defense points against overall: 20th
In 2024, Bucs defense points against overall: 16th
In 2023, Bucs defense points against overall: 7th
It’s almost like the low IQ morons always complaining about the defense while claiming Baker is “MVP” have no clue what they’re talking about since their level of knowledge doesn’t go deeper than a bumper sticker.
44% of fans have the Bucs with 10-12 wins. You do know that Todd Bowles is still the head coach, right? The guy who has coached 135 games and who has a cumulative record of 61-74? A winning percentage of .452? One playoff win in nine years? That guy?

Or like people calling other people low IQ and claiming zone isn’t really zone and man to man coverage is the answer to all our defensive struggles?

You’re still saying when you jam at the line, and cover someone 15 yards down the field, and then hand them off in coverage is zone?
LOL!
Yes, you’re literally the low IQ moron I’m referring to – among many others here.
Only an idiot keeps citing defensive statistics after they had a chance to make the playoffs with one more win and had the lead with Atlanta and blew a third and 28 and then 4th and 14.
Low IQ moron is a compliment to that guy who keeps telling us the Defense was good.
I know who voted for 6 or less wins. ????? only trolls. Go ahead trolls name the last time Bucs won 6 or less games that’s right you have to google it. Even with Bowles we get to 9. Yall trolls with your ?? takes smell worse than the Thursday night trash. Go back to the saints.
My prediction is 17-0, or 0-17.
Does it matter what any of us think?
Now if Joe asked all us prognosticators to toss a sawbuck into a pool to be divided up equally amongst the people who hit the number, then you’d be talkin turkey.
Would the 12 or more crowd stick with 12 or go higher? Lower?
Would the 6 or less go 5 or kick it up a notch?
I know, with all the gambling rules in place to “protect” our greedy government from being omitted from their mafia-like take, Joe can’t do this without the chance of life in prison, or worse … sitting on Sparky!
But man, I’ve always found more truth from those who put their money where their mouth is.
More importantly, IT WOULD BE FUN!
Calling this roster ‘talentless’ is just flat-out ignoring reality. The Pro Bowl isn’t the gold standard anymore it’s a popularity contest half the time. I care more about production, depth, and winning football than a fan-voted badge.
The Bucs still have one of the better WR groups in football, a franchise LT, a young improving defense, solid backs, and a team that’s stayed competitive while other NFC South teams keep rebuilding every other year. Jason Licht also built a Super Bowl roster and has consistently found starters throughout the draft.
You don’t accidentally stay relevant year after year in today’s NFL without talent. People acted like the Bucs were dead after Brady left too… and yet they still kept competing. Some fans confuse negativity with realism.
The Athletic has Bucs ranked #21 with 8.0 wins and 35.7% chance to make playoffs – sounds about right – some of you keep guzzling the Kool-Aid but that’s ok – somebody has to buy all those Bucs bobble-head dolls – or be one – the team will do ok if Godwin Mayfield and some others stay healthy – does it matter ? I had a great afternoon with perfect weather at the Arizona game last year with a $40 ticket and the win was just a bonus – the Falcons game with $250 tickets was uncomfortably chilly but we lost – oh well – still had a good time
oh btw the only Bucs QB with more than one 10+ win season was Brady (he had two) – those of you who think Mayfield will have 10+ wins are dreaming – or drinking that good ol’ Guyanese Kool-Aid – Bucs are middle-of-the-pack just above teams like Giants Browns Titans Jets – and there we shall stay for the next few years while Todd and Jason make some more bank before becoming “consultants” (gadfly pests) like Arians for a few years
Calling the Bucs ‘middle-of-the-pack’ while ignoring three straight division titles prior to last season, and Baker revitalizing his career in Tampa is wild. This team isn’t the Giants or Browns they’ve consistently competed despite cap resets, injuries, and post-Brady doubters.
Also, acting like 10 wins is impossible when the NFC South is still wide open makes ZERO sense. Baker already proved he can lead this offense, and the roster still has elite pieces like Antoine Winfield Jr., Whirfs, Mount Vita, and soon Egbuka.

They will never learn. Being blindly positive doesn’t make you a better fan.
