On To Cincinnati (2026 Bucs Schedule Leaks, Rumors)

May 14th, 2026

Hello Joe.

[UPDATE: 6:50 p.m.] Here are Joe’s leaks/reports so far on the Bucs’ 2026 schedule.

Thanks to Bruno Mars (Joe has nothing against the entertainer) the Bucs will travel in Week 1 on Sunday, Sept. 13. And as Bill Belicheat would say, it’s on to Cincinnati!

The Bucs will open the season against Joe Burrow and the Bengals in their riverfront jungle, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

All those nickel corners the Bucs have will get a test right away to start the 2026 season.

[UPDATE: 12:13 p.m.] MEMO TO PECAN LODGE: Joe’s coming in early October! Per John Breech of CBS, the Bucs will play the Cowboys Week 5 (Oct. 8) on Thursday Night Football seen on Amazon.  Yeah, another primetime game. We all know how that will turn out. Hey, at least the brisket and beef ribs at Pecan Lodge and/or Hutchins will be dynamite! (And yes, Joe might also try to squeeze in a trip to Hard Eight. When in Texas… )

[UPDATE: 12:43 p.m.] Per John Breech of CBS, Bucs host the Stinking Panthers on Week 12 (Nov. 30) on Monday Night Football.

[UPDATE: 1:26 p.m.] Time to melt the cheese. Per SI.com, the Packers come to Florida to play the Bucs in Week 4 (Oct 4) when it is still nice and hot. Per this report, it’s a 1 p.m. kickoff. Anyone need gooey cheddar cheese on that brat?

[UPDATE: 2:36 p.m.] John Breech of CBS has the return of Treasure Island resident and former Bucs offensive coordinator Todd Monken coming in Week 2 as the Browns visit the Bucs for the Tampa Bay home opener. Tristan Wirfs vs. Myles Garrett ought to be fun.

[UPDATE: 4:11 p.m.] Preseason fun! TV voice of Bucs preseason games, Chris Meyers, said the Bucs will play at the Jets, host the Chiefs and play at the Jags (maybe joint practices, too) this summer. WFLA Bucs broadcast sideline reporter Aileen Hnatiuk said the Jets game will be on a Friday night; Chiefs game on Saturday night and the Jags game on Friday night. All Bucs preseason games can be enjoyed on WFLA-TV Channel 8.

Crap was going to be in Florida on Nov 8th. Wanted to see a game.

  2. Chris Cotten Says:

    Week 5 TNF Bucs@Girls

  3. BA’s Red Pen Says:

Chase v Morrison is going to be a problem.

  4. LynchMob50 Says:

Guaranteed loss. Bet heavy on the Bengals.

Burrow can’t wait to carve up Bowles Swiss cheese, soft as butter, wide open, pee wee league caliber, lousy pass defensive scheme.

I’m guessing Joe will have 5 TD’s and 400+ yards.

    Bengals 48 Bucs 18

    Fire Bowles Now!!!

  5. Muscle Hampster Says:

Playing Cincinnati early in the season isn’t so bad the last few seasons

  6. Guzzie55 Says:

    Cincy usually sucks early season

  7. Colonel Angus Says:

Gotta play them at some point, better to play them early I reckon. Bowles at least has our team ready to play on opening week.

  8. Bucs Since ORANGE & WHITE Says:

    Unfortunately LYNCH MOB IS RIGHT….
    4/5 TDs from Joe…

Mike tomlin will have us right next year

I have low expectations for this team
    6 wins max…

I would love to be wrong
But our division has and will keep getting better

Obviously last year showed us no more free division titles
    4-6 wins

  9. 813bucboi Says:

    Rather play Cinny early lol…

    bowles aint too bad week1

    GO BUCS!!!!

  10. Bee Says:

Very true 813, Bowles usually wins the opener. But Burrow is gonna carve this defense to shreds, especially if they play 10 yds off the LOS. Will the Bucs pass rush show up? We’ll see

  11. Saskbucs Says:

That’s a gift from the gambling gods.

    Hammer Chase overs.

Who knows in the game. One good thing about Bowles is he has guys excited to play ball early in the year and because he does what he does … the Bucs jump to some early wins.

  12. Kenton Smith Says:

Baker Mayfield and Joe Burrow played each other 6 times in 3 years. Burrow followed Baker in 2019 as the Heismann winner and first pick. I’m happy to report, having seen all of those games, and watching Baker beat Burrow so soundly you can still hear the echoes of those A$$ kickings across Ohio, that I’m expecting more of the same. The Bucs are gonna be fun to watch play this year. More fun than a barrel of monkeys and I ain’t whistling Dixie!

  13. Joe Says:

    Hammer Chase overs.

    Yup. 🙁

  14. Smoke Porterhouse Says:

Better to go to Cincy when it’s warm out.

  15. Steve V. Says: Says:

I bet Bain would luv to get his short arms on wynchmob! Go Bucs ! Making a statement right out of the gate Gainwell Tucker rush for over 200 yards keeping the ball out of Burrows hands

  16. Lakeland Says:

It’s not like the Bengals are a NFL powerhouse
That division were weaker than the NFC South last season

  17. Vinny from Vermont Says:

Buc’s DB’s playing way off the line in a loose zone sounds familiar.
Bucs 24…Bengals 41. Final score makes it looks closer than it will be!!

  18. 813bucboi Says:

Folks forgetting that Cinny O-Line suspect and they have zero run game…

    1-0 here we come!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  19. 813bucboi Says:

    BEE

    we’ll see lol…

hopefully Zyon isnt bored and bowles lets the rushers rush and DBs cover…

i wouldnt be surprised if its a low scoring defensive game…Cinny does have new pieces on defense and drafted pretty well and so did we….

Special teams are going to be key week1…

    GO BUCS!!!!

  21. Scotty Mack Says:

Good to get a cold weather state in September.

  22. Scotty Mack Says:

  23. BucsFan81 Says:

Joe Burrow going to carve up Bowles defense like thanksgiving turkey week 1. This could get ugly fast. Maybe Bowles doesn’t even start out good like he normally does.

  24. Kgh4life Says:

I’ll rather the Bucs play the Bengals week 1. They are notorious for not being prepared early in the season, it’s been that way for a couple years now, also, they have a suspect oline and defense. It should be a high scoring game.

  25. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Bengals have been trying to improve their defense that was about dead last in points and yardage against respectively, and we have an offense that was least seen struggling to put 16 points on the board in their final game last year.

Should make for an interesting matchup in all phases, the only thing I’m certain of is Money Mac nailing his FG attempts which we will probably need considering our isn’t even fully installed right now.

  26. Rod Munch Says:

Why in the world would they put a Bucs vs Panthers game on MNF? That is traditionally the most boring match-up of the year – only made worse if it was @Carolina and their awful dullard stadium.

  27. KABucs Says:

PR has seven games posted already.
You guys need to catch up.
    LOL
    Week 4 Packers at home 10/4 – 1 pm
Week 6 Steelers at home 10/18
    Week 8 Falcons at home 11/1 – 1 pm

  28. Joe Says:

Good to get a cold weather state in September.

Cincinnati? That’s right across the river from SEC country. Not exactly Buffalo.

  29. Rod Munch Says:

    For the @CINN game…

The Bucs actually have a winning record in Cincinnati. I’m sure there’s other examples of the Bucs having a winning record on the road vs a team, but none come to mind off the top of my head.

To be sure, it’s 7-6 all time for the Bucs, but still, it’s a rare match-up where the Bucs have traditionally done well.

Although, with that said, the Bucs are 0-3 in their last 3 games vs the Bengals.

Still, considering Bowles opening day record, how the Bengals generally play early in the year, the Bucs should have a good shot in that game.

  30. Steve V. Says: Says:

@ Lake, the whole afc north division was banged up…Sound familiar? Cleveland, better D then Seattle and Pitt can beat anybody on their worst day Lamar was hurt and so was nadabweki the best Dlineman in the game @Burrow was out also

  31. KABucs Says:

Playing the Ravens in the first eight weeks of the season would be nice. That’s the only other possible cold game and it’s not like we’re talking about frozen tundra here, even if it landed in December.

The most updated number I can find is from 2021… but the Bucs are 21-64 all-time in games when the kickoff temp is under 50 degrees.

  33. Rod Munch Says:

    Week 4: GREEN BAY (Oct. 4 at 1 p.m.)

    ———-

    NICE!

Should still be hot, and the Bucs generally play well at home vs the Meat Packers. I’m marking that down as a W.

  34. Not a good look Says:

I just realized I told a freakin’ cheese joke and am going to go have a long talk about it with myself, haha!

  35. Steve V. Says: Says:

The Bucs generally play well early in the season at home and when it over 50,but other then that Bowles cant coach! Beer is good ! WTF!

  36. Steve V. Says: Says:

They put the Carolina Bucs game on Monday night because the division went to the wire between the teams last season , regardless of their records , its all about meaningful games in December, again regardless of win /loss records ,none of the haters watched that game because the win/loss number were up to yall’s standards correct?

  37. buc4evr Says:

Do the Bucs ever get a home opener?

    ———

That’s a 24.7% win percentage, which is pretty awful.

And that number gets a lot worse if you drop the temp to 40 degrees – and even worse again if you subtract Brady’s years from the record. I think the Bucs, with Brady, were around .500 in ‘cold’ weather games, making the overall record look even worse.

  43. Co-Z Coolman Says:

Tough first stretch of the season

  44. Buddha Says:

Burrow awful in week 1. Check the record. Burrow 1-4 in season openers. 0-4 last four years.

  45. Defense Rules Says:

Bengals gave up 492 pts in 17 games last season … 28.9 PPG. They made several changes on defense, but nothing dramatic. They have the same HC, same OC, same DC. Meanwhile, the Bucs’ offense SHOULD be back to near 100% healthy by Game 1, and SHOULD be improved over last season. Our defense SHOULD also be improved, even at the start of the season.

Of note BTW, the Bengals Run Defense ranked dead last in 2025, giving up 2500 rushing yards for 5.2 YPC allowed. With a healthy OLine, our RBs SHOULD be able to take advantage. Bucs SHOULD also handily win the TOP, since the Bengals last season allowed 43.4% third down conversions (28th in the NFL).

Yes Burrows is good & he can put up points, but Cincy’s defense will be their undoing this season just like it was last season. Bucs are built to take advantage of defenses just like theirs. I’ll predict a high scoring game, but with the Bucs on top 35-24.

  46. LynchMob50 Says:

    Todd Says:

    “LynchMob50 repents”

    False!!! I shall never repent!!!

  57. Stpetematt Says:

I like our chances of starting off 4-0 but that week 5 debacle is *HUGELY* in Dallas’ advantage with us just playing a very tough Green Bay squad then only having 4 days recovery time while traveling to Dallas to play on Thursday night. That one is gonna be real tough and potentially ugly though I think we beat Dallas in fair circumstances! The league loves their cr@ppy Cowboys…

  58. Rod Munch Says:

Great, week 2 of preseason we get to see cowardly Todd Bowles, who is too afraid to play any starters in preseason, vs Andy Reid, who always plays his starters. Should be a 35-0 score at halftime.

“Week 2 of preseason” as many injuries they had last season i wouldn’t play starters either..Time to luck at the depth!

    ————

    What starters got injured?

    McMillan?

He got injured because Teddy ‘Hospital Ball’ Bridgewater was in the game. Had Baker been in there, he’s not hurt.

There is a cost that comes from NOT playing guys – and you pay for it all through the beginning of the season from guys not being in game shape. The Bucs would have LESS injuries if they practiced more (not Todd’s fault by the NFLPA) and played guys in preseason games so they weren’t going from 0-100 on week 1. That’s what Andy Reid knows that Bowles has never figured out.

  63. Joe Says:

He got injured because Teddy ‘Hospital Ball’ Bridgewater was in the game. Had Baker been in there, he’s not hurt.

He got hurt because a piece camp meat tried to be Ronnie Lott and went for his knees.

    Bridgewater never touched McMillan.

  64. Steve V. Says: Says:

Sounds like you got it all figured out

  65. Steve V. Says: Says:

Bert Jones got dumped on his shoulder in pre season it ended his career and pretty much ended the colts in Baltimore.Belicheck started his coaching career in Baltimore he always liked him better the Brady No starters in pre season!

  66. Stpetematt Says:

The Bucs don’t get a lot of injuries in the first few games. It’s after about game 4-6 typically. That’s why they start so hot and then fizzle out basically every time. If only they could stay healthy all season. Though I guess Mauch did get knocked out for the year in game 2 last season…

  67. FortMyersDave Says:

Cincy D will still be below average. Assuming Baker and the OL are healthy and that Bowles will stick to his D trends and lers Chase have a monster day, bet the over. I predict something similar to the Saints Bucs opener in Koetter’s last season: 48-40, hopefully the Bucs have the 48.

  68. #1bucsfan Says:

Joe, meet Rueben, “Hi, Rueben.” Rueben, meet Joe, “GRRRRRRR!”

Burrows will be making an early reservation at his favorite Cincinnati hospital in August.

    Welcome back, Joe!

    ———

I didn’t think there was anything wrong with the hit, it’s football, and if your QB is throwing high across the middle, you’re opening up guys to get hurt. It was a terrible pass by Teddy, the type of pass I’ve heard my entire life sends guys to the hospital.
