Comps For Kenyon Sadiq

April 21st, 2026

Hyping TE Kenyon Sadiq.

NFL Network’s stats queen Cynthia Frelund believes if you like Vernon Davis as a tight end or if you like Trey McBride, you will like Kenyon Sadiq.

That’s what the stats dudes at NextGen Stats and the NFL IQ bot tells Frelund to say.

Frelund is a huge fan of the athletic freak of a tight end that is Oregon’s Kenyon Sadiq. She, powered by NFL IQ and NextGen Stats, believes Sadiq will be a star.

Sadiq’s all-around score via the bots/stats is third-best of all draft prospects Frelund claims. His athletic score, again, from the bots and stats, are “nearly perfect,” Freland claimed.

Basically, she said, if you like a freak athlete at tight end who produces, you likely want Sadiq.

“This Joe” has been on board with drafting Sadiq for months. The Bucs’ defense is likely four players and two years away from being good. The Bucs offense is one player (field-stretching tight end) from behind exceptional.

What’s wrong with just flat outscoring other teams?

If the Bucs take this guy in the 1st, they’re pretty much admitting they’ll need to outscore teams and their defense is a lost cause with Bowles still there. Probably at least some truth to that.

sadiq could be long gone by 15 anyway

  3. Anon Says:

I’m all on board with making the offense awesome since the defense is a lost cause.

But Sadiq would make the offense worse.

You know what further screws up a room full of mid WRs that can only play inside? A rookie TE that can only play near the line, muddying up the spacing and further limiting the offense.

Get an X to fix the WR room and more oline help. Not a complete waste of space TE.

Im okay with Licht drafting this guy too as long as he promises to move up and draft Jacob Rodriguez too.

    Butter face.

Defense wins championships. Seems we’ve forgotten that.

    ^^^^^^^

    I’ve had worse. Hahahaha

  8. Guzzie55 Says:

Our WRs are not mids and even if you think they are, having a dynamic TE only takes away coverage from those WRs, our QB is mid though

  9. Buxfanintx Says:

Sounds like the next OJ Howard

    “from behind exceptional.”

Interesting typo – or were you subliminally thinking of how you would like Miss Frelund positioned? LOL

  11. Kenton Smith Says:

    Kay Adams>Cynthia Frelund.

  12. Obvious Says:

I wouldn’t have any issues with taking him at 15 if he’s BPA. The team is not close to competing to play in February for a variety of reasons.

But if best player on the board is a defensive player you take him. Same reasoning. This team needs talent.

Also – it’s going to be a rude awakening for some on offense this fall I fear. Will it be a poor offense, no. But elite? Not likely. Once the WRs start getting hurt, and if the oline depth gets tested again you’ll see a regression back to closer to average or hopefully above average.

The WRs getting hurt won’t be an if, that’s a when. Hopefully the oline remains in tact, although you can count on Luke to miss a few at least.

  13. OLDSCHOOL1976 Says:

Why was Sadiq nor a starter at Oregon until his senior year? Asking for a friend

  14. OLDSCHOOL1976 Says:

You gotta ask yourself if Sadiq is so good why did he not start sooner and in 2024 why did some guy that was 5-10 160lbs lead that team in receiving? (Tez Johnson)

  15. BigD Says:

Sadiq is an irresponsible pick given all the defensive needs. But, he has a high RAS score and that’s like rainbows and unicorns to Licht. So I can see Licht drafting him. Hopefully it’s the last wasted high value pick by Licht and him and Bowles are shown the door.

  16. Beeej Says:

    This year’s Travis Hunter

  17. Bucs Guy Says:

    McBride >> Sadiq.

This is a big time oversell. Does she get a kickback by pushing to get him drafted before 15?
