Trey Hendrickson Signs 4-Year, $112 Contract With Baltimore

March 11th, 2026

Adam Schefter reported beastly edge rusher Trey Hendrickson wanted to play for the Bucs.

He will play for the Ravens.

Various outlets are reporting this morning that Hendrickson is the newest member of the Baltimore Ravens and will sign a four-year, $112 million contract.

The edge rush angst continues across Tampa Bay. Joe sure hopes Bradley Chubb is visiting One Buc Palace this afternoon.

  1. Bucs East Coast Says:

    Come on bucs. Do something.

  2. Leopold Stotch Says:

No clue wtf were doing anymore. This is the most lame off season I can remember.

  3. WiscoJoe Says:

I like your tweet from last night, Joe. I have a feeling a soft tank is coming our way this season.

  4. MadMax Says:

    Whoa thats a lot.

  5. Leopold Stotch Says:

The silence is deafening rn. This just seems so ominous

  6. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Edge Rusher at 15th overall is pretty much a lock at this point.

Sorry to you guys who wanted a TE or RB with that pick, lol

  7. Brooklynbuc Says:

    It’s a Buc life🤷🏾‍♂️

  8. Scott Says:

Chubb is no good. Reddick 2.0 maybe worse. That would be Licht wasting money again.

  9. Bradinator Says:

No surprise here. We weren’t signing the guy anyway. Too pricey. If we can land Chubb, it’s all good.

  10. jcscycles Says:

Wow! $28 million per year at 32. And a bad hip.

Yet people are whining about not signing him.

    Hope he passes the physical…

  11. Daniel Says:

    Absolutely not at that $$$

  12. DS Says:

Not surprised… Licht is somewhere thinking about building a team 3yrs down the road when he might be out of a job

I wouldnt bet the farm on it…

  14. Deeboooo Says:

Shifty front office dealings for the ravens. Hope the NfL investigates

  15. Florid_Marine Says:

That dude will NEVER play all four of those years. Book it.

  16. Megoat13 Says:

No pass rush this year no Jason licht next year in my opinion. On the bright side if that doesn’t get addressed I’ll have a killer fantasy team next year cause I won’t be watching any Bucs games. Be able to focus more on waiver wire additions

  17. Ricki Says:

Its a tank year, not sure what you guys expect

  18. ocala Says:

It is tough for fans to accept it, but the Bucs punted on the season. If the Bucs had an elite coach like Coen or McVay they could be a legit Super Bowl threat.

The confusing thing is it is hard to see what they are trying to do. If you’re a fan wanting the Bucs to tank that probably isn’t going to happen either unless Baker gets hurt. The Bucs are too talented to really stink(especially being in the NFC South) so they will be one of those teams that has a floor of six wins and a ceiling of nine wins.

  19. DS Says:

Outside of Arvell Reese there isn’t a great DE in the first round imo hope
    Licht doesn’t reach

  20. ‘74 Bucs Fan Says:

FA plan for the Bucs – lose more players than you sign. Sit on your hands. Tank the season, resign / get fired, spend rest of life on the beach. Got it!

  21. Bucfan1988 Says:

Knew this was coming with Baltimore since backing out of the Mad Max sweepstakes….

    Let’s analyze this….
$28M a year for 4 years in a state that has state income tax as well….

Would have thought we could get him at $26M a year…
    Hmmmmmmmmm 🙁

    DO FREAKEN SOMETHING JASON LICHT!!!

  22. Bee Says:

I was the first to say this team was tanking, do you see it now? Lol…or do you have your hopes up for another high priced FA that won’t help this team win. Face facts, the Bucs need a top 10 draft pick and this HC and QB will get the job done this year.

When this team was fully healthy the best they could do never lead in a playoff loss to the Lions where the QB threw a int on 2nd down in the 4th quarter on the Bucs side of the field. That was 3 years ago and the Bucs have gotten worse every year.

This team needs a complete overhaul and that starts now. It’ll suck to watch them lose but it has to happen. Need to set up the new HC and GM with as much money and high draft picks as possible.

  23. Bucfan1988 Says:

Bradley Chubb is the LAST edge rusher left without having to trade draft pics for somebody……

    GO GET HIM LICHT!!!!

  24. Frank Pillow Says:

I hate to say it, but my feeling for this team is quickly reverting back to: APATHY! The lost decade was defined by it. Here we are again. Nothing this team does is remotely exciting or even interesting (in a positive way). Instead, they tread water, believe their own nonsense, and continue on their merry march towards irrelevance.

The Super Bowl was a long time ago….and we’re so far away from matching that team’s roster that you almost have to say “Who Cares?” when anything Bucs related comes up. That’s on ownership.

  25. ToesOnTheLine!!! Says:

The rich get richer (Hendrickson and the Ravens)! Good for both parties, no way JL reels in the big fish when that deal was offered by a competitive team, especially after finally getting out of salary cap hell. Plus he probably realizes a rebuild in Tampa is likely coming very soon (new coaches will want cap space and draft picks)

  26. DS Says:

Time to blow it up also I’d see what we could get for bake

  27. Bucs3 Says:

Bucs are in a collect money year

Bucs are the only team that kept a .500 coach 1-3 in playoffs
Why because to many Coach vacancies Price to high

We wouldn’t pay Evans (although I think Evans said no more garage coaching)

Bucs will play .500 ball and tell fans be fans cheer anyway

You want change at RayJay?? Be as cheap as Glazers don’t pay for this garbage

    Glazers careless what fans say
Glazers only care what fans PAY!

  28. Ballwasher61 Says:

Hey hey hey let’s not forget we still got Braswell, a shocker. I wouldn’t have signed Hendrickson for that money. See ya.

  29. BuccaDAWG Says:

What did ya’ll expect, a top tier Edge Rusher to sign with the Bucs.? Thats not the way our GM & owners operate. Bargain Basement Baby, it’s the BUCCANEER way. Maybe we should just let coach Bowzo have his way, he doesn’t see the need to have a good Edge Rush when he can Blitz. MAYBE Coach Bozo & the Rock Star want to play this season with no Defensive Ends or Edge LBers at all. He can put extra corners in instead because he usually has his pass rush back in coverage, plus that way the corners can play a real soft zone 25 yards off the receivers. It’s a Bucs life. No worries though we all know Licht never misses in the draft. Anyway the rookies don’t cost as much money so the Glaziers can put more money into their soccer team.

  30. StormyInFl Says:

No one wants to play for Toilet Todd.

  31. Bucfan1988 Says:

    Yep, totally agree now…..

If they don’t get Chubb someone else decent then they are treading water this year preparing to blow it all up!!!!!

If this was the plan then why the hell did they bring Bowles back??

Absolute moronic thinking by the Glazers…..
    Ridiculous!!

  32. DailyRich Says:

No way were we giving him four years. That makes him 35 by the end of the fourth year. Not for that kind of money.

  33. Beeej Says:

Crosby was originally a 3rd or 4th, we could accidentally draft a good one

  34. ‘74 Bucs Fan Says:

We finally paid off the SB roster and are out of salary cap hell that we’ve been waiting on. And what do we do? Crickets. Agree that a full tank job is coming.

Feeling the apathy too. If the Glazers don’t care about this season, why should we? Love my Bucs and always will, but am feeling very checked out about this year. Honestly, how could you not? Bowles still here, Evans gone, no investment in improving the team.

Hope your site visits don’t tank too this year Joes!

  35. Hopein1hand… Says:

I’m not turned off by Baltimore’s nixing their deal for Crosby. Clowney had the same surgery as Crosby in 2019 but also had a cartilage pothole that required micro fracture surgery later on and hasn’t suffered much fall-off in performance over his remarkably solid if unspectacular career.

It’s not just the sacks- only Myles Garrett had more stops last year and no one else was close after he and Crosby and he probably had more passes defensed than most of the sclubs in the Bucs secondary in 2025 as well, playing hurt. The guy is the total package: energy, production, leadership, versatility and yes, durability (he doesn’t miss games.)

The pools of talent these two firsts will be drawn from are not anywhere close to true top ten pick quality firsts. Make the trade for the two firsts but try to bust the Raiders down to this year’s first and second. Two years of what he has been doing is worth more than the picks. That contract is not astronomical. Crosby needs to become a Buc at this point in the game.

  36. Rob5 Says:

Twelve NFL teams have never won a Super Bowl…
The Bucs have won two the latest just 4 yrs ago…
and all of you arm chair GMs what to get rid of
    Jason Licht…amazing!

  37. Get-Rid-of-Licht Says:

I am hearing talk from JBF commenters about a “soft” tank coming – it is somewhat comical that the “win-now” Bucs sloganeering of the last few years has resulted in a mediocre W-L record which could arguably be called soft-tanking – – – nevertheless what is needed is a “hard” tank to dislodge the Arians-Bowles-Licht constipation from the One Buc intestinal tract, expelling those obstructions into the proper receptacle to be flushed away – maybe beat the Browns as a fig leaf, but striving more for a 0-17 record than than the 8-9 record we have seen of late – but definitely no better than 3-14

  38. TampabayBuzzkills Says:

Didn’t Licht say Braswell was going to shock us in 2025? Ironic that last offseason the debate was would the Buc’s or Falcons win the division. This offseason it’s going to be which one will finish last.

  39. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“I wouldnt bet the farm on it…”

I mean, we know we need help there.

Obviously didn’t find any value in the FA market.

Where else are we going to find someone to play opposite of Yaya.

Also, not to mention there being rumblings about Yaya getting extended so he doesn’t hit the market in 2027.

Say we do extend Yaya, wouldn’t you feel good complimenting that not with a gaudy FA, but a cheaper, younger option with a drafted edge rusher?

At the very least, our inaction on the FA to address the position has made the likelihood of drafting an EDGE rusher in the first(something Licht has yet to do in his time here) a lot higher

  40. Cory Says:

    Bruce Arians for Gm

  41. Chuckys Bucs Says:

Glass half full. I can save money by not subscribing to Sunday Ticket this year. I need to watch this dumpster fire.

  42. Pewter Power Says:

TAMPA BAY DO NOT GO OUT AND WASTE MONEY ON A HIGH PRICED PASS RUSHER AND THROW AWAY MONEY!!! You’ve made the franchise pathetic and clearly everything we accomplished was because of BA not Licht

  43. Kayla Says:

    “WiscoJoe Says:

I like your tweet from last night, Joe. I have a feeling a soft tank is coming our way this season.”

Yeah, Joe, I’ve been saying that here since they kept Bowles to assure another losing season. It’s glaringly obvious what the owners want to do. Thanks for joining the party…

  44. RagingBrisket Says:

    Haaahaaaahaaaaaa!!!!
    Licht sucks

  45. HC Grover Says:

Good. No waste mone on the Bowzo 3-4 flop defense.

  46. HC Grover Says:

Nelson an Brasswell. Hendrix no good in pass drop back cover.

  47. bakerfan Says:

The press needs to start asking Licht and Glazers what the plan is? Fans are owed an explanation if they plan on blowing this season off. I came from a big football market in Dallas, which goes year around. The press in Dallas is always making someone mad for asking the hard questions. It seems like the press in Tampa kisses the team’s butt, afraid their access may be cut.

  48. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

I have to give kudos to the Bucs for not feeling the immense fan-prssure for spending this kind of cash on a 32 year old pass rusher with a bad hip. So, will JL swoop in as a friend to help Spytek out OR move in for the kill? There is NO WAY Raiders will get two 1st round draft picks now. I’d give them our 3rd and a late round next year and call it a day.

  49. Ian O’Keefe Says:

So Shaq Barrett and JPP will be back. Nice

  50. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Now, go get Kyler Murray for NFL minimum with the Cards paying for most of his 2026 salary.

  51. gbobucsfan Says:

Bunch of whiny babies !!!! Ya’ll fools on here acting like you know the NFL “business” better than Licht and Co. Meanwhile, ya’ll are the same ones that want Hendrickson AND Crosby. I’m as passionate as the next fan but this isn’t Madden. Do you really think Licht and Co want to tank the season, just to be fired at the end of the year? Stop it !!

  52. OLDSCHOOL1976 Says:

Not worth the money so I’m supporting not signing him. Ravens overpaid cause they fired Harbaugh and don’t want to look bad. Chaison is a better value option.

  53. Rusty Shackleford Says:

Glazers are members of the tribe and as such, they are cheap AF.

  54. IB Says:

    Another one bites the dust

  55. Get-Rid-of-Licht Says:

btw hats off and kudos to the JBF commenter(s) who have been referring to Licht as “Fred Flintstone” – that is an awesome meme that I hope takes off – Todd Bowles has memes relating to his last name and its suggestion of a certain bathroom fixture – getting kinda old but it fits – and it is ubiquitous- I would very much like it if any reference to Bedrock / Flintstones would immediately conjure up an image of hapless Jason Licht – JBF folks please make it happen

  56. Colonel Angus Says:

We ain’t going nowhere without a pass rush. Who’s left to sign?

  57. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“We ain’t going nowhere without a pass rush. Who’s left to sign?”

Maybe, Al-Quadin Muhammad, maybe, but he’s turning 31 soon, coming off a breakout year, and is probably pricing himself a bit too richly all things considered.

  58. Hopein1hand… Says:

I can’t go for this soft taking noise. I think they’re just sucking eggs. They are trying but aren’t shored-up where they need to be. This magical thinking the Bucs front office has that Bowles can make chicken salad out of chicken spit has got to stop. Look how thoroughly the Rams addressed their defensive deficiencies before the draft. That is how it’s done. The Bucs can still add Crosby, David and Aaron Stinnie or maybe even Wyatt Teller to their existing FA haul of Anzalone and Gainwell and get an A+ FA grade from me. The cap is fake. The pieces we need are available.

  59. OLDSCHOOL1976 Says:

Ebekitie and Chaison are both 26 and available. Low cost options with upside

  60. gbobucsfan Says:

    Chaisson signed with Commanders

  61. DailyRich Says:

    “bakerfan Says:
    March 11th, 2026 at 9:48 am
The press needs to start asking Licht and Glazers what the plan is?”

Not to spend money and draft picks on injured guys?

  62. gotbbucs Says:

What free agent edge rusher in his prime or trying to enter his prime wants to come play in a Todd Bowles defense that will see them drop into coverage on a passing down? They lose value the longer they play for Bowles. Thats the reality. Even our rookie rushers come in and put up their best numbers in the scheme in their first year and then get progressively worse production every year it seems.

Shaq Barrett had 19.5 sacks in his first year here and was rewarded for that in the scheme the next year by moving him to left end so a one-armed JPP could play right end. No coach in his right mind would allow that to happen, even if the player was OK with it.

This isnt a fast attacking scheme that players want to be in. This is off man/zone prevent defense in the 1st quarter. Fast players are forced to play slow in this micro managed nonsense.

  63. Robert Says:

I bet you they could get Crosby for one 1st round pick.

  64. Cosmo Says:

Yeah 4 years is too long. Thats too much money. It would simply be catastrophic if that doesn’t work out. I understand everyone wants big moves, but trading away the farm for Crosby and dropping all the money on Hendrickson are both not the answer.

They absolutely need to address the position in some capacity though. Same with MLB.

  65. Mhystc Says:

Trade a 4th or 3rd to the giants for Kayvon Thibodeaux.

  66. Robert Says:

I think the Ravens had buyers remorse. They did the Raiders dirty. Maxx Crosby’s price just came way down. But as usual we will sit on our hands with a lame duck coach.

  67. TampabayBuzzkills Says:

You can say the Ravens overplayed, but at least they are trying to get better, we aren’t even trying

  68. LFGBucs Says:

Couldn’t afford this guy. It’s a simple as that. Pushing contracts down the road only leads to situations like today, where there is no money to pay anyone to come here. And Bradley Chubb is still under contract with the Dolphins. He might get released on June 1st. Nobody can speak to him now. So he is a non-factor.

  69. DailyRich Says:

Hendrickson’s deal is $60 million guaranteed and a $20 million signing bonus, plus he gets $500,000 for hitting 8, 10, 12 and 14 sacks in a season.

  70. Darin Says:

Todd bowles is the new Hugh Culverhouse. Nobody coming here! Hopefully licht can find at least 53.

  71. Mhystc Says:

Trade a 3rd or 4th for Kayvon Thibodeaux or Jonathan Greenard.. then again Licht wouldn’t even do that.

  72. Outrigger Says:

Don’t worry everyone. We have David Walker lol.

  73. SteveK Says:

Lose out on Mike Evans, fail to signs. Top flight edge rusher. This season is shaping up to be another lackluster one.

Licht and Bowles should be on a year to make the playoffs or get replaced. Looking more and more likely by the day that Tom Brady was the sole reason we had a good team in 2020-2021.

This is a bad look for Licht. Ownership may be calling the cheapness, but the GM and HC are not getting it done.

  74. ModHairKen Says:

    Overpaid. So not too upset.

But as someone said, this is a lame offseason.

Yes, Dean was often injured. Hall was vanilla.

But someone has to replace them. Who?

Gainwell for White was an even swap.

Anzalone has been good for other teams. Will he disappear here like Reddick?

  75. gbobucsfan Says:

Did anyone really expect us to sign any of these high priced guys?

  76. Outrigger Says:

Imagine this defense with Zion and Morrison as your starting corners and opposing quarterbacks having all day to find open receivers with Braswell and Ya Ya as your edge rushers and a backup DT because Cancey is hurt again. This is the 2026 season reality. It’s a Bucs Life

  77. MadMax Says:

@Bucfan1988 “If they don’t get Chubb someone else decent then they are treading water this year preparing to blow it all up!!!!!

If this was the plan then why the hell did they bring Bowles back??”

me thinks thats why he was brought back AND part of the plan…

Now fix that O line and get Ioane….ILB and edge later.

  78. SteveK Says:

Damn, this offseason and Licht’s non-moves are upsetting. Feeling like the glazers kept Bowles to save money and not spend any on FA. Terrible outlook for this season.

  79. Get-Rid-of-Licht Says:

and to all the Licht / Arians fanboys – why do you think Brady came to TB ? all the Fred Flintstone / Colonel Sanders slobberers will crow that it was because Licht and Arians built a SB-bound powerhouse – yes a powerhouse that finished 7-9 in 2019 – Brady didn’t go to a GOOD team because teams like the Ravens Niners and Chiefs didn’t need him and have strong coaches – he went to a BAD team and molded it in his image – the weak coach and GM in TB had no clue how to win and Brady was their savior – as soon as Brady left, back to mediocrity – just sick of hearing how great Licht and Arians are – just pathetic – and yeah I have been in Tampa since 1988 and went to quite a few Testaverde games then I saw the turnaround in 1997 – so I know what it is supposed to look like

  80. FrontFour Says:

Can Baltimore be any more stupid?????

Ozzie is no longer the GM. Obvious.

  81. Hopes on 2027 Says:

    31 is too old.

Glad Bucs didn’t sign him. Go heavy in the draft on edge rushers, that’s really the best way to find a good one. You have to luck into it.

  82. bucnjim Says:

For the fans upset at missing out on Crosby & Hendrickson, please remember the player has a huge say in who he gets traded to. Now it might not be a good sign that they’re not interested in Tampa, but the team can’t sign a player that has no interest in the Bucs.

  83. TiredBucsFan Says:

I expected us to do something in FA. Really didn’t do much, but lose guys. We kept Bowles, did nothing in FA. I guess my feelings of not caring either are justified. Blazers dont care, why should we. First time in my 50 years of being a fan, I dont care.

  84. BucsFan81 Says:

They are not going to spend any money. There will be no pass rush in 2026 just like there was none last year. They will say it was because of injury and you will see Kancy and YAYA out there as your pass rushers plus whoever they draft.

  85. ToesOnTheLine!!! Says:

I can’t really blame the Ravens (for paying a king’s ransom for Trey). They had to try to save face after unwinding the Crosby trade. Who knows, in a world of conspiracy theories coming to fruition more often than not, perhaps JL got some insider info from his ex-colleague Spytek that the deal between the Raiders and Ravens was getting flushed and perhaps Jason is working on a (far less draft pick heavy!) deal for (injured???) Crosby? He does like to roll the dice if the price is right. Probably just fantasy on my part lol

  86. Simeon4HOF Says:

This is a travesty. Should have been our first FA signing. Then the LB

  87. Outrigger Says:

If the Glazers wanted to be cheap and save money this season why waste $20 million on Cade Otten?

  88. Mhystc Says:

We will have a top 5 pick next year. Who we taking ? Jeremiah smith ? Arch Manning?

  89. Simeon4HOF Says:

Somebody send a boatload of spinach to David Walker, put him in a superhero development lab, something

  90. Mhystc Says:

David Walker is too busy streaming on TikTok and Twitch playing nba 2k and Madden. He’ll have 2 sacks at the most.

  91. Hopes on 2027 Says:

Unless it’s Tom Brady, you don’t win the season in free agency.

Anyone you get will be too broken down, too old, or too expensive.

You need more than just a single player… ask Green Bay fans if they wish they were Seattle right now.

  92. Bowles Wasn’t Held Accountable Says:

Not surprising. Who would want to play in Bowles wonky defense if they had other offers? Who would want to be in coverage 10% of the time, or whatever it is, if you’re a good pass rusher?

  93. SteveK Says:

Starting to feel like this is the last year of Licht and Bowles if we fail to make the playoffs. What the hell is the plan at one Buc place? Bunch of fools with a toothless edge rush. Disgusted by their approach. This puts all the pressure on a draft pick being legit, and if they aren’t we are going to be more screwed. Stupid football operations if you ask me.

  94. Ufc Says:

Good ol Jason limp d licht cant do anything again. Honestly tbeyre both cooked

  95. BigBoiBuc Says:

Would rather draft a young hungry edge rusher, for minimal pay, who is going to be hungry for a second contract, then guys in their mid 30’s who are coming off big injuries who have already made tons of money and have no need ( or desire) to sacrifice their bodies for the good of the team. Crosby and Hendrickson will in no way live up to what they just got paid.

  96. DailyRich Says:

Jeremy Fowler reporting that we were among five other teams involved in talking to Hendrickson, but that we wanted a shorter-term deal, and Hendrickson wanted something longer.

  97. SteveK Says:

    Bigboibuc,

What edge rusher is going to be good enough to get paid a second contract? Yaya is a #2, and it would be stupid to
Pay him big Bucs next year for being average. We need a difference maker. Licht and Bowles are screwing the fans.

  98. Obvious Says:

Saw the same tweet from Joe and it’s def a soft tank IMO.

In the sense that’s it’s not a full on rebuild and they’ll provide some modest upgrades on defense this fall (low bar) and give Todd one more chance to defy logic and save his job. But the likely outcome is a young head coach with a modern philosophy in ‘27 with a loaded draft class and a pretty clean cap situation. I’m hoping it’s an offensive coach.

Going out and signing vets to 4 year contracts worth 100+ million $$ doesn’t fit into that strategy. Keeping your cap clean and drafting for the long term does.

  99. Erik with UniqueModernArt.com Says:

The Bucs lost next season as soon as we decided to retain Bowles.

It doesn’t matter who we sign/draft, we are guaranteed not winning the SB next year which is all that really matters.

And we’ll most-likely have another losing record, forget the SB.

  100. Confido75 Says:

Never saw this signing for the Bucs happening. A blind man saw TH being too expensive. Too much hype drove his price tag out the roof. Maybe the Bucs get Chubb, but I doubt it at this point. This is going to be a lost year. Glazers are going to pay Bowles one more year and pack his bags after that. Remember, they went after Harbaugh, but his demands were too high for them. They’ll bide their time and wait for the next crop of HCs to pick from that can actually put together a winning team. The players are just going to collect a check and look forward to the new coaching staff when they come in.

  101. Simeon4HOF Says:

Bucs ain’t even touched a single restructure. Todd has cosumately rubbed off on Jason.
    The blob

  102. Simeon4HOF Says:

    What a 50 year anniversary

  103. Tired Says:

Couldn’t find a way to land the guy who literally said he wanted to play in Tampa. I guess the Glazers have stopped caring, and so have I.

  104. TRBinCLE Says:

You don’t pay a king’s ransom for an edge on the wrong side of 30. Sign a few Tier II free agents for depth and special teams. First three rounds draft ILB, edge, DL, hopefully find starters or reliable rotation pieces, rounds 4 and 5, OL and DL depth, rounds 6 and 7, buy a scratcher, you never know. Then my favorite time of year, signing UDFAs. New OC and ST coaches will get you to 10-7, and a seat in the playoffs. Two and done, best case scenario.

  105. Simeon4HOF Says:

Our 1st round pick bout to possibly pull a Bo Jackson, that’s where this ship is at

  106. Get-Rid-of-Licht Says:

the reason you are not seeing any FA activity out of Bucs HQ is that Licht and Arians are roaming around the north Georgia mountains like the hillbillies from Deliverance and looking for canoeists to befriend – they are AWOL while the pirate ship is aflame and sinking

  107. Robert Says:

What’s the point for next season? To me with all the quality coaches that were available this year I am dumbfounded why Bowles is still here. The Glazer boys are in their 60’s. How many years do you have left to live? Why waste one day at this point. Spend every dollar of cap money. I almost get the feeling this team is a cash cow for the Glazer’s soccer team spending which is their true passion. Sell the team if you aren’t all in on winning each and every year. I’ve been a Bucs fan since 1976 when I was in the 2nd. grade. I have paid my dues as a Bucs fan. I’ve spent more money supporting this team than I really could afford. Why do they let me down so much? I just wish ownership was as all in as our passionate fan base. I love my Bucs but I am getting old way too fast. Some of us have given everything we have to this team. It’s just painful when I look at all the time, effort, and misery we all go through. Get with it Glazers. Please , I am begging you. Signed, lifelong Bucs fan and believer.

  108. SteveK Says:

They’ve got to be tanking, this is ridiculous. Cant wait for the Ira Kaufman podcast to drop today, I’m as fired up as Joe about the state of the toothless edge rush. They’ve got to be kidding me.

Our GM was kidnapped and mind altered by aliens.
At Cade’s press conference “its a new, but same ole, day in Tampa Bay. M1K3 or no Mike, Edge or no Edge; our next superbowl victory is on the horizon. Just a few more late clearance pieces away. And to introduce the core of our offense, Ill hand it over to just the HC to finish leading us to the promised land. This is nearly a Super Bowl roster”

  111. Homerjmitc Says:

The 3rd and 28 comments are so sad, don’t not realize that there was a 4th and 14 that followed the 3rd and 28? If you are going to continue to cry about it at least be accurate

  112. Bradinator Says:

You folks need to get a grip. I remember last year everybody banging the drum for Reddick. We go out and make the big splash on him and…got bumpkiss out of it. Everyone was dancing in the streets (myself included). The only big pass rushers available this year were Crosby, who went for 2 1st rounders, only to apparently fail the physical, and Hendrickson, who got PAID after being hurt and not really producing. We filled a MAJOR whole in ILB and everyone is still crying! Don’t know what you guys were expecting. Welcome to reality. Chubb, Bosa, etc are still out there, warts and all.

  113. DS Says:

See what you can get for bake instead of paying him

  114. Sal Volatile Says:

I think the Bucs are playing for a new QB in 2027 along with all new coaches. It’s all about the payroll. The ivory tower is only committed to itself. This gives me the excuse to further drift away.

  115. buc4evr Says:

Glazers trust Licht too much. The guy is killing this franchise along with his defensive genius sidekick. I doubt either one of these geniuses move the needle in the right direction on defense. If anything this defense will be worse. At least it will be their last year here.

  116. Simeon4HOF Says:

    3rd and mf 28

Sure the players we do still have are super elated rn

    RINSE AND REPEAT

    Head Coach 2027 Zac Robinson

  120. Bucs3 Says:

Glazers aren’t spending any real money THEY KEPT BOWLES

GLAZERS know what they have in Bowles

    No Coach No Players

  121. BigBoiBuc Says:

    @SteveK⬆️
I guess you struggle with reading. My post said spend it on a young edge rusher we DRAFT who will be hungry for a second contract. Not one that’s currently on the roster. Slow down Bud, and read.

  122. BUC WATCHER Says:

Well, it looks like Licht and Bowles have to go dumpster diving again. They need to dig deep this time, LOL… At the end of next year, there is going to be a forest firing Winnie Roast in TAMPA, all of them will be on the end of a stick !!!!!!!

  123. Simeon4HOF Says:

We had the room to do this, along with what we did. Just refused to restructure or move anyone. All kinds of activity been going on in NFL for weeks. Crickets. Cade cotton crickets

  124. Simeon4HOF Says:

This guy singled out TB as the team he wanted to play for and we didnt even talk turkey.
    Blow this ship up

  125. Simeon4HOF Says:

And that wasn’t the first or clearly last 3rd and 28

  126. Miller5252 Says:

The bed sh$$ting by the Bucs just keeps going. Losing our best talent and can’t sign top tier talent. This time next year this team won’t look anything like right now. What a joke!!!!

  127. Simeon4HOF Says:

Its time or a 50 into 51st year documentary

  128. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I never wanted Hendrickson to begin with. Bad investment.

The Raiders thought they were taking advantage of the Crows with the trade for Crosby…but the Crows pulled one over on them. Love it.

Now, the Raiders will need to take a lot less to get rid of his salary because they went on a spending spree.

  129. Paratrooper Buc Says:

Doesn’t bother me they didn’t get an expensive edge but if it’s not addressed properly then results will be the same as last year. Drafting a single edge in round 1 isn’t going to cut it. We fans don’t know the strategy but if edge isn’t addressed then I can see why fans are thinking this will be a “tank year.”

  130. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

According to Jeremy Fowler (BSPN) this morning, Bucs were in the Trey mix. Bucs just wanted a shorter term deal vs 4 year deal for an injured 32 year old pass rusher.

  131. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Everyone needs to relax. The defense is getting a complete overhaul.

As to the offense, isn’t Bucky Irving a free agent now too? Bufs didn’t tender him.

  132. Simeon4HOF Says:

We need a Bucs 51st year anniversary documentary the Perforning Arts or Straz Center asap

  133. DailyRich Says:

I love how we signed two free agents on the first day and all anybody can talk about is how we aren’t doing anything.

  134. Simeon4HOF Says:

They weren’t even in the signing odds. That’s bs. Ill take a 35 yr old Hendrickson over Braswell anyday

  135. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

So…out of curiosity…would it be better to trade for Crosby or to trade up for the best Edge Rusher in the draft?

  136. Jamesrunningwilder Says:

lol… This team CONTINUES to be Irrelevant! This should’ve been a layup and the Bucs blew it again! This team is So Cheap! No wonder they graded Poorly with their players! Oh and “3rd and 28!”!

  137. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“The only big pass rushers available this year were Crosby, who went for 2 1st rounders, only to apparently fail the physical, and Hendrickson, who got PAID after being hurt and not really producing. No appreciation for the process, they wanted us to do something that’d be uncharacteristic for our front office and go against our reality of having a little sliver of space under the cap.

Our pass rush isn’t cured with 1 player, we just saw Seattle win it all without 1 players having > 7 sacks, but they did have 4 players with at least 6 sack a piece. I’d say trust the process, new league year doesn’t start until today, but batches are going to batch they don’t care about process. Now some of you are attacking Bucs media coverage or griping as if NFL front offices make moves based off fan sentiment lol delusional

  138. SteveK Says:

This team is so poorly run.

  139. Stu Says:

No pass rush= no wins= NO BOWLES

  140. bakerfan Says:

Seems like other teams can always find creative ways to sign people, Licht is on a Checkerboard and other GM’s are playing 3D Chess. Joe always tout this guy of Ring of Honor, I tout him as a ring on a toilet Bowle(s) not knowing what to do to get out of it.

Yeah, if you are tanking then blow it up. Trade Mayfield, sign a bunch of players at league minimum and shaft your fan base for 2026-2029. Mayfield is on a QB friendly deal, after Murray lands there could be a team needing him. Maybe Bucs should land Murray, trade Baker and come clean with the FANS that they are rebuilding, don’t expect winning seasons for the next 3 years. But again, Murray would not come here.

  141. NYC-Buc Says:

Mike leaving the way he did, signaled to the entire league that this is an absolute dumpster fire of a front office

  142. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Licht should offer a 2nd for Crosby, lol.

  143. Gbobucsfan Says:

Warren Brooks Lynch – 100% agree. Well said

  144. WM Says:

THIS TEAM IS A JOKE TODD BOWELS IS TRASH AND SO IS JASON LITCH 4-13 OR WORSE GLAZERS ARE TRASH

  145. LynchMob50 Says:

While I kind of understand not wanting to pay the money for a possibly injury prone player, this is your weakest link on defense other than the DC and there’s no urgency to try and fix it.

Plus, Licht cannot draft a DE to save his life. And his handpicked HC\DC cannot coach or develop a DE of quality.

ME13 had enough and bolted for a far better situation. Bowles sucks.

  146. SteveK Says:

Who in here has confidence in Licht drafting and Bowles developing a legit pass rusher?

It’s not happening, so it begs to question why are they not doing anything? They are choosing to suck.

  147. HeavyE Says:

Maybe, just maybe, M1K3’s deal may fall thru!!! We can get him back!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

  148. SteveK Says:

Licht needs to step up and get us some pass rushers worth their salt. He fails to do so, he’s gone with Bowles as the end of the season when we go 6-11/7-10.

  149. DS Says:

@warren brooks problem is we have zero pass rush and Bowles has to scheme sacks we can’t rush with four or 5 lol

  150. Whatevs Says:

How much worse will this team be next year?

    4 wins?

  151. Lakeland Says:

I give Jason Licht an A- for this Free Agency period

I love the fact that he’s going to build through the draft
He’s getting rid of aging injury prone players
I think Licht get 4-5 impact players from the draft, UDFAs.

I love the job Jason Licht is doing as GM
He will sign 3-4 veterans for the minimum
And maybe one of them will workout

This team is head in the right direction
What l love most about this Ownership, GM, HC
They don’t listen to the fanbase

They have a plan in place, and they stick with that plan
    They stay the course

  152. Chad Says:

Everyone that thinks this team is tanking leave your Venmo name, I’ll do the same. You have mentally challenged people on here thinking baker is gonna tank, that’s not baker. Won some good games this year without Mike and Bucky. We still can get defensive players, draft is right around the corner

  153. Christos Says:

    Dont worry guys.
This team is building through the Draft and smart FA choices.
Besides its not easy to find a good edge player with 10+ sacks that can cover RBs in most 3rd and longs.
Cant wait to see the articles next season (again) about how the Bucs are top of the league in the percentage of players that were drafted from the team. Because apparently that means something even if the team is mediocre.

    Go Bucs

Now some of you are attacking Bucs media coverage or griping as if NFL front offices make moves based off fan sentiment lol delusional
    ……
Warren I respectively ask, what other major sports cities have you lived in?

The press in Tampa does no hard questions. probably afraid they will get cut out of the free lunches and not be invited to travel with team. The NE outlets would crucify this ownership/management team. Dallas, press would eat them alive. KC folks would at least ask what is going on. Tampa is Crickets, even when trade deadline came and pass last season.

I usually like your comments, don’t always agree but the 4th estate in Tampa needs to start asking if not demanding what the heck is going on. Do your job press.

  155. Chad Says:

Whatevs… how much money you willing to bet they have more than 4 wins?

  156. Chad Says:

Bucs should trade baker to the saints.

  157. StonedBucsFan Says:

JL needs to go, this is ridiculous, Yaya will be the best pass rusher again, we’re screwed.

  158. SteveK Says:

    Where edge rush?

  159. Reality Says:

Even in my edge rush blues, I don’t blame Bucs here for not wanting anything more than a year or 2 rental with a 31 year old coming off of injury (hips too mind you) amongst other things and def not at close to $30 million a year. Albeit, we still don’t have an edge rush. Edge rush heart strings being pulled all over. But I objectively can’t blame Bucs here for that kind of business decision.

  160. Oxycondomns Says:

maxx crosby on one knee will still add more life to this defense since suh was on the team

  161. Fanofdabucs Says:

Dodged another bullet by not signing Hendrickson. Im sure JL offered something that made more sense than the ridiculous deal he got from the Ravens.

I’ll sit back, eat some popcorn and watch the meltdown of all the GMs in here who wanted the Bucs to sign all these overpriced edge rushers.

  162. Tampa2ATL Says:

I believe Joe speaks his mind. This site is the best media outlet IMHO for Bucs news, analysis, and fellow fan interaction.

Perhaps we dodged a bullet with Hendrickson. Signing would have been well received initially though may have financially handicapped salary cap flexibility. Only time will tell if the resulting production matches the investment by Baltimore. Seems to me they priced everyone else out. Should we have beat their offer? Meh.

  163. Bucsfanman Says:

Lakeland- I hope you’re right. Unfortunately, history speaks otherwise regarding edge rushers.

As an aside, I hope we are dead wrong about Braswell and Diaby and they blow up. I just don’t see a front 4 combo that scares anyone. Can Kancey stay healthy? Can Vea stay on the field? Who subs? Does Roberts see more playing time?

    And then there’s the secondary…

  164. Lakeland Says:

This season will come down to the play of Baker Mayfield
With a healthy offensive line, good run game, and receivers
Baker has to get the job done, no excuses

Jason Licht signed Kenneth Gainwell, Cade Otton
Those two players combined for 132 receptions last season
They will blend well with Egbuka, Godwin,Tez, Miller, Bucky

The defense will be fine, they played Top- 10 defense down the stretch last season
Licht signed an experience ILB who had 9 PD last season
More than our LBs combined last season

Bucky, Gainwell will improve the Run with a healthy Offensive Line

I predict we win the division this season

  165. Kenton Smith Says:

The Cleveland Browns record the 4 years before Baker Mayfield was 11-53. Baker Mayfield record the following 4 years in Cleveland was 32-32-1. And 1-1 in the playoffs. And he had 3 different head coaches, 4 different OCs, and Odell Beckhams father whining his baby cakes wasn’t getting the ball. Baker also played one of those seasons with a torn labrum and fractured shoulder. His fifth year he was on 3 teams rosters. I flew to Charlotte that year for opening day Panthers against Cleveland and Stefanski who’d just let him go. Baker put the Panthers ahead with under a minute to go with an incredible should have been game winning drive but Cleveland kicked a 57 yarder at the buzzer. Carolina fired their coach Matt Rhule after 5 games. Baker led an incredible win after 48 hrs with the Rams and closed out that Rams season hanging 55 points on Sean Payton and the Broncos who had the 5th ranked(points against) defense in the league. Then he got to Tampa. Should have won 10 games his first 2 seasons in Tampa but in year one Stroud and the Texans went 80 yards in 4 plays to limit Baker to 9 wins that first season. Anyway, my point is this. Anybody thinking we’re tanking a season with Baker is hallucinating.

  166. Kstoges Says:

So you guys wanted to sign Trey for 4 years at his age man Bucs fans are stupid asf or let me guess you guys wanted Jalen p for 30 ms a year too? we have to worry about the future of the team also guys if we’re going to be bad you don’t want to be the giants teams terrible and they have no cap.

  167. KABucs Says:

Even if he stays healthy, will be he be worth that money on the back end of the contract? I highly doubt it. I wonder how much of that is guaranteed?

  168. Stpetematt Says:

This free agency period definitely proved if you can find a very successful pass rusher in the draft you will save your team a huge fortune in the salary cap. I hope we finally get lucky or David Walker turns out to be beastly. We still need more help at DL and DE (another edge too) even if he does.

  169. Scott Says:

Trey is a top 5 player at his position. The Ravens sure weren’t scared to spend the money. I have no doubt he will be a stud for them. Kind of a perfect match. I have no faith Bowles would have known how to use him.

  170. Will Says:

Maybe Duo of Licht and Bowels will sign Crosby. Licht has. Thing for red haired bearded players. Boweles has a thing to ruin that good players performances.

  171. Billy Bucco Says:

We will sign some low rent bottom of the barrel FAs late in the process.
    No early Christmas this year.
Seems like in 2020 we got a new FA every day!!
Ain’t nobody coming to save Todd Bowles from the bed he has made unfortunately.
Seems like we are going after Tomlin or McDermott next year!!

  172. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Call the new 51st documentary …. .. It was 3rd and 28

  173. SeanBucsFan87 Says:

This regime and this season haav already been given up on. These guys are just getting what they can before they leave. Bowles hired his kid and Licht paid his nephew in law money no other team in the league would. I’m only watching the preseason to see some of the rookies in action and then im done for the year lol

  174. Kenton Smith Says:

Lakeland. I agree 100% with you and the Las Vegas oddsmakers on the 2026 season. We win the division going away and can easily play with any team in this league if our offensive line can stay healthy. We are currently getting rid of the riff raff and hall of famers who show up the coach with their overblown drama. I’m ready to see this bunch start getting down to business this next couple of years. It’s gonna be a sight to see.

  175. Badbucs Says:

So this is what Jason meant when he said Todd was the best man for the job.
Todd gets to be Jason’s fall guy next year. He doesn’t need any good players brought in for that. Todd doesn’t even know he’s being played for a sucker. I feel sorry for the guys on the team.

Slick underhanded move by the Ravens. Got buyer’s remorse and decided they could get the same thing and save 2 1st round picks. Pretty sneaky. Ruined Raider’s plans too. Why would anyone trade with them again?

  176. Bradinator Says:

I remember when we signed Shaq Barrett. Having lived in Denver at the time he played there, I was thrilled. I knew the guy had juice. In Tampa no one knew who he was, and no one was excited about him at all. Worked out pretty good, right? Some of the 3rd day etc signings are just as important as those big splash signings. It’s a marathon, not a sprint as they say. June 7th will mint some more FAs to be available. I’m thrilled with Anzalone and Gainwell. Otton? Not really a fan, but he was really the best option out there and we needed a TE if he didn’t stay. We got a ways to go before Training camp begins.

  177. Defense Rules Says:

bakerfan … ‘The press needs to start asking Licht and Glazers what the plan is? Fans are owed an explanation if they plan on blowing this season off.’

Was wondering what the plan is just earlier this morning. I keep asking myself why the Glazers kept Bowles if they’re not gonna give him the resources to succeed? But maybe that’s asking the wrong question.

Maybe the right question is ‘Are the Glazers intending for us to fail this season so they can hire Mike Tomlin to replace Todd Bowles AND have a high draft pick so he can draft a quality rookie QB to replace Baker?’ Maybe the real goal isn’t to fix everything this year, but rather to start the process now but really finish it in 2027.

  178. adam from ny Says:

you prolly want to wheel and deal with spytek and tommy b for the one legged wonder…max crosby…

at 3 years 75 mil for hendrickson, i’d have done it…

but 4 years 112 mil is stretchin’ the fetchin’

  181. Oneilbuc Says:

All you Baker fan boys enjoy this year because this is his last season as a buc get ready to follow him to his 5th team. Lol 🤣🤣

  182. Scotty Mack Says:

You don’t need to sign the league’s sack leader to win a Superbowl. You just need 4-5 guys who each get a half dozen. Just ask Seattle. Their top person got 8 sacks last year.

The last time someone led the NFL in sacks and also won a Superbowl was Harvey Martin in 1977. Most times, the NFL sack leader plays for a team that doesn’t even make it to the playoffs.

    ^^^^^^

    Agreed.

    GLAZERS ARE PREPARING FOR 2027

    $100 million Cap
    No Baker
    Tons of Young Talent
    Solid OL
    High Draft Picks

That’s the perfect setup. That’s how you recruit a great new HC.

  184. Oneilbuc Says:

I hate tanking it stinks because that’s a loser mentality to me to lose on purpose. I wish they would just draft Drew Allar and let him sit behind Baker for a year or two if Baker plays good and we get to a NFC Championship game you can bring Baker Mayfield back for another year if that happens. And Drew Allar can develop he just made 21 years old so he has time and then next year you draft defense again and offense. That’s the perfect idea to me than just going out their losing on purpose.

  185. adam from ny Says:

truth be told…if we are tanking the season, bowles is the perfect HC to manage the situation and keep things level headed on the titanic…

and all this was discussed with team glazer when he was shockingly retained and a big chunk of staffers were dumped…

bowles is a real nfler and he will be able to navigate a messy season, because he hasn’t seen many successful seasons anyway…

he might be a perfect fit actually for the job…

and watch baker start looking yonder, padding stats if possible, and looking up the road, because he won’t be resigned either…

i’m starting to think brass thinks they might have squeezed all the juice they can from baker…

    it’s early AF…but here goes…

    early prediction…
    7-10
    ceiling: 8-9 wins
    floor: 5-6 wins

and no we won’t be in that special batch of bum azz teams with 2-3 wins fighting it out for the number 1 draft pick

  186. KnoxvilleBucsFan Says:

Complete idiots, and they wanna upgrade RJS? Back in the day, I pitched in the and bought 4 season tickets, to help build RJS. Heck we all hoped change would come to Tampa after years of suffering the curse of Culverhouse!!! And change did eventually come. Because we sucked so bad we were able to draft several future HOF’S. JL ought to be able to figure out, he’ll never stick around to see that happen again. He’s managing himself out of being a GM. Or is he? Glazers proved it in 2020, they’ll pull the trigger themselves, when they wanna go to the Vault. The Goat delivered his first year. They stacked the team around a great young team. Not to mention, BA leading the way!!! After the Bucs didn’t win back to back championships, any knowledgeable fan could see, the Glazer kids counted their $ and closed the door to the vault. I did the same thing as the Glazer kids. Closed the door to my vault, I could see what was coming! Now they’re gonna start pushing for a state of the art stadium,YES, RJS has outdated itself. Not that they need my money, but they won’t get it this time around. Bowles stinks, and JL apparently is handcuffed or a complete idiot. Without the Goat and BA, what has this team done more than a few consecutive years since the 90’s and early 2000’s? Not a dang thing. I’ll still watch, I can’t stop loving my Bucs! But it is a very cloudy future.

  187. Oxycondomns Says:

  190. Wouldn’t pay a single Buc to see this squad Says:

Thanks Glazers for counting your nickels and dimes instead of valuing Ws.

Keeping Todd will leave a lengthy scar on this team.

  191. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“The press in Tampa does no hard questions. probably afraid they will get cut out of the free lunches and not be invited to travel with team.”

“I usually like your comments, don’t always agree but the 4th estate in Tampa needs to start asking if not demanding what the heck is going on. Do your job press.”

Sir, the press has NO influence over what they’re told by these franchises, and it’s a working relationship the press isn’t some overseeing authority over any sports team in any sport. Why do you think most NFL teams have their own media teams that they say the same thing to 3rd party media outlets so they can control their own narratives w/o scrutiny.

Do you think Joe can walk into the press room at 1Buc and demand anything outside of the AC of the room to be checked, an extra bottle of water or a seat that’s not squeaky?

No, they can try to probe for hard hitting answers, but it doesn’t mean they’ll get the truth or even get their answer partly answered. That’s why there’s an entire wing of sports media dedicated to guys who in particular that have “inside” information. It’s just the nature of the media beast, it’s a symbiotic relationship and jumping straight to “they won’t aske because they’re scared to lose out” you mean, lose out on how they make their living?

Again, you hear probing asked weekly, if not daily and every once in awhile some media types get thrown a nugget, but they’re in no position to demand things fans think they should be asking. It’s not hard, and to be honest no matter where people are, even NYC there’s a quid pro quo game being played between franchises and media members/outlets. Scratch your back and I’ll scratch yours types of deals, and half of what you see reported isn’t nearly as good as what won’t ever come to print. It’s the nature of that particular beast.

It sounds like you want 60 minutes/Hard copy level investigative journalism from reporters who, in this era are just as likely to write a report based on a players’ social media post than they are to have a serious 1on1 with team insiders. That’s why I said it’s delusional, because you’re expecting police work from mall cops.

  192. Allen Lofton Says:

Heard conflicting reports. Baltimore is backing out of his signing saying his health is the issue. HE’S NOT HEALTHY PER A RECENT EVALUATION.

  193. Chad Says:

Oneilbuc… what’s your Venmo and I’ll give you mine, and let’s bet if baker is coming back next season. Cuz if the offense stays healthy baker is gonna have a good year. He didn’t get to play with the starting offensive line as a group all season. Put your money where your mouth is

Where is the edge rush? Pathetic team management.

  195. Chad Says:

Lakeland you can’t say this season will be on baker, you give credit to the defense for the last few games of the season minus 3rd and 28 and then 4th and 14 but ignored the defense was a bottom three defense the first half of the season. Baker was a mvp candidate in the 1st half then of the season and had 4 game winning drives because the defense couldn’t get a stop. Baker didn’t look as good in the second half of the season though. So yes baker needs to have a good year and play good all year, but this defense needs to show up every single game. I’ve yet to see the defense play consistently

“Baker was a mvp candidate in the 1st half then of the season and had 4 game winning drives because the defense couldn’t get a stop”

-6 games is not half of a 17 game/18 week season

-The same things that made those “comebacks” necessary, are the same things that caused us to go 3-8 in our last 11 games

-We don’t win the Jets game without that defensive score by Dean

-The last 2 games before the bye the offense was miserable

-We would’ve shut New Orleans out in the first game if it weren’t for a Baker Mayfield fumble

-After the bye we generated as many takeaways on defense as we did before the bye, but the offense committed twice as many giveaways after the bye than they did before

IDK why you guys lie to yourselves like this, and I definitely don’t get trying to get the rest of us to lie to ourselves along with you. Weird aura

I am glad they are passing on a lot of these older pass rushers. It will just be Hassan Reddick 2.0 situation except spending more money. I know a lot of people are hating on Jason Licht but I don’t think he is the problem. I just don’t think Bowles can develop players. I mean it took Bowles 3 seasons just to figure out clock management and hire people to help him with it.

Man, no one here engages in constructive discussions. Makes me wonder why I even bother these days. So many duplicate accounts these days. Really wish only on account per IP Address was the policy.

  199. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I actually respect the moves being made.

  200. Bucs 95 Says:

  202. Rod Munch Says:

All the A-listers are breaking down the doors of One Buc Place just for the chance to play with Baker!

  203. Lakeland Says:

    Chad,

I’m not it’s all on Baker

What I’m saying is Licht has giving Baker a lot to work with
We are strong at every position on offense
Only injuries and Baker can slow this offense down
Zach Robinson is a proven play caller, an upgrade

Baker is the best QB in the NFC South, by far
There’s no reason why we shouldn’t win this division
But it start with the play of the QB

We went into Seattle and put up 38 points, zero turnovers, only 4 penalties
And the following week, we dropped another 30 on San Francisco
Again, zero turnovers, only 5 penalties
We did this without Mike Evans

Baker has a lot to play for, redemption and a new contract

As a family man with two small children, he’s motivated
That’s why he’s the key to our success this season

  204. Rod Munch Says:

No idea why this fascination with Chubb – he’s not a good player. There’s getting a sack because you’re good, and then there’s getting a sack because a QB runs around for 10 seconds before tripping and falling and you touch them down – Chubb is the latter.

  205. Lakeland Says:

***I’m not saying it’s all on Baker
