Trey Hendrickson Signs 4-Year, $112 Million Contract With Baltimore
March 11th, 2026
Adam Schefter reported beastly edge rusher Trey Hendrickson wanted to play for the Bucs.
He will play for the Ravens.
Various outlets are reporting this morning that Hendrickson is the newest member of the Baltimore Ravens and will sign a four-year, $112 million contract.
The edge rush angst continues across Tampa Bay. Joe sure hopes Bradley Chubb is visiting One Buc Palace this afternoon.

Come on bucs. Do something.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:12 am
No clue wtf were doing anymore. This is the most lame off season I can remember.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:12 am
I like your tweet from last night, Joe. I have a feeling a soft tank is coming our way this season.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:12 am
Whoa thats a lot.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:12 am
The silence is deafening rn. This just seems so ominous
March 11th, 2026 at 9:13 am
Edge Rusher at 15th overall is pretty much a lock at this point.
Sorry to you guys who wanted a TE or RB with that pick, lol
March 11th, 2026 at 9:14 am
It’s a Buc lifeš¤·š¾āāļø
March 11th, 2026 at 9:15 am
Chubb is no good. Reddick 2.0 maybe worse. That would be Licht wasting money again.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:15 am
No surprise here. We weren’t signing the guy anyway. Too pricey. If we can land Chubb, it’s all good.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:16 am
Wow! $28 million per year at 32. And a bad hip.
Yet people are whining about not signing him.
Hope he passes the physical…
March 11th, 2026 at 9:17 am
Absolutely not at that $$$
March 11th, 2026 at 9:17 am
Not surprised⦠Licht is somewhere thinking about building a team 3yrs down the road when he might be out of a job

Shifty front office dealings for the ravens. Hope the NfL investigates
March 11th, 2026 at 9:20 am
That dude will NEVER play all four of those years. Book it.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:21 am
No pass rush this year no Jason licht next year in my opinion. On the bright side if that doesnāt get addressed Iāll have a killer fantasy team next year cause I wonāt be watching any Bucs games. Be able to focus more on waiver wire additions
March 11th, 2026 at 9:21 am
Its a tank year, not sure what you guys expect
March 11th, 2026 at 9:21 am
It is tough for fans to accept it, but the Bucs punted on the season. If the Bucs had an elite coach like Coen or McVay they could be a legit Super Bowl threat.
The confusing thing is it is hard to see what they are trying to do. If you’re a fan wanting the Bucs to tank that probably isn’t going to happen either unless Baker gets hurt. The Bucs are too talented to really stink(especially being in the NFC South) so they will be one of those teams that has a floor of six wins and a ceiling of nine wins.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:22 am
Outside of Arvell Reese there isnāt a great DE in the first round imo hope
Licht doesnāt reach
March 11th, 2026 at 9:24 am
FA plan for the Bucs – lose more players than you sign. Sit on your hands. Tank the season, resign / get fired, spend rest of life on the beach. Got it!
March 11th, 2026 at 9:24 am
Knew this was coming with Baltimore since backing out of the Mad Max sweepstakesā¦.
Letās analyze thisā¦.
$28M a year for 4 years in a state that has state income tax as wellā¦.
Would have thought we could get him at $26M a yearā¦
Hmmmmmmmmm š
DO FREAKEN SOMETHING JASON LICHT!!!
March 11th, 2026 at 9:25 am
I was the first to say this team was tanking, do you see it now? Lol…or do you have your hopes up for another high priced FA that won’t help this team win. Face facts, the Bucs need a top 10 draft pick and this HC and QB will get the job done this year.
When this team was fully healthy the best they could do never lead in a playoff loss to the Lions where the QB threw a int on 2nd down in the 4th quarter on the Bucs side of the field. That was 3 years ago and the Bucs have gotten worse every year.
This team needs a complete overhaul and that starts now. It’ll suck to watch them lose but it has to happen. Need to set up the new HC and GM with as much money and high draft picks as possible.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:26 am
Bradley Chubb is the LAST edge rusher left without having to trade draft pics for somebodyā¦ā¦
GO GET HIM LICHT!!!!
March 11th, 2026 at 9:29 am
I hate to say it, but my feeling for this team is quickly reverting back to: APATHY! The lost decade was defined by it. Here we are again. Nothing this team does is remotely exciting or even interesting (in a positive way). Instead, they tread water, believe their own nonsense, and continue on their merry march towards irrelevance.
The Super Bowl was a long time agoā¦.and weāre so far away from matching that teamās roster that you almost have to say āWho Cares?ā when anything Bucs related comes up. Thatās on ownership.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:29 am
The rich get richer (Hendrickson and the Ravens)! Good for both parties, no way JL reels in the big fish when that deal was offered by a competitive team, especially after finally getting out of salary cap hell. Plus he probably realizes a rebuild in Tampa is likely coming very soon (new coaches will want cap space and draft picks)
March 11th, 2026 at 9:29 am
Time to blow it up also Iād see what we could get for bake
March 11th, 2026 at 9:31 am
Bucs are in a collect money year
Bucs are the only team that kept a .500 coach 1-3 in playoffs
Why because to many Coach vacancies Price to high
We wouldnāt pay Evans (although I think Evans said no more garage coaching)
Bucs will play .500 ball and tell fans be fans cheer anyway
You want change at RayJay?? Be as cheap as Glazers donāt pay for this garbage
Glazers careless what fans say
Glazers only care what fans PAY!
March 11th, 2026 at 9:31 am
Hey hey hey let’s not forget we still got Braswell, a shocker. I wouldn’t have signed Hendrickson for that money. See ya.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:32 am
What did ya’ll expect, a top tier Edge Rusher to sign with the Bucs.? Thats not the way our GM & owners operate. Bargain Basement Baby, it’s the BUCCANEER way. Maybe we should just let coach Bowzo have his way, he doesn’t see the need to have a good Edge Rush when he can Blitz. MAYBE Coach Bozo & the Rock Star want to play this season with no Defensive Ends or Edge LBers at all. He can put extra corners in instead because he usually has his pass rush back in coverage, plus that way the corners can play a real soft zone 25 yards off the receivers. It’s a Bucs life. No worries though we all know Licht never misses in the draft. Anyway the rookies don’t cost as much money so the Glaziers can put more money into their soccer team.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:32 am
No one wants to play for Toilet Todd.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:34 am
Yep, totally agree nowā¦..
If they donāt get Chubb someone else decent then they are treading water this year preparing to blow it all up!!!!!
If this was the plan then why the hell did they bring Bowles back??
Absolute moronic thinking by the Glazersā¦..
Ridiculous!!
March 11th, 2026 at 9:34 am
No way were we giving him four years. That makes him 35 by the end of the fourth year. Not for that kind of money.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:34 am
Crosby was originally a 3rd or 4th, we could accidentally draft a good one
March 11th, 2026 at 9:37 am
We finally paid off the SB roster and are out of salary cap hell that weāve been waiting on. And what do we do? Crickets. Agree that a full tank job is coming.
Feeling the apathy too. If the Glazers donāt care about this season, why should we? Love my Bucs and always will, but am feeling very checked out about this year. Honestly, how could you not? Bowles still here, Evans gone, no investment in improving the team.
Hope your site visits donāt tank too this year Joes!
March 11th, 2026 at 9:37 am
Iām not turned off by Baltimoreās nixing their deal for Crosby. Clowney had the same surgery as Crosby in 2019 but also had a cartilage pothole that required micro fracture surgery later on and hasnāt suffered much fall-off in performance over his remarkably solid if unspectacular career.
Itās not just the sacks- only Myles Garrett had more stops last year and no one else was close after he and Crosby and he probably had more passes defensed than most of the sclubs in the Bucs secondary in 2025 as well, playing hurt. The guy is the total package: energy, production, leadership, versatility and yes, durability (he doesnāt miss games.)
The pools of talent these two firsts will be drawn from are not anywhere close to true top ten pick quality firsts. Make the trade for the two firsts but try to bust the Raiders down to this yearās first and second. Two years of what he has been doing is worth more than the picks. That contract is not astronomical. Crosby needs to become a Buc at this point in the game.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:38 am
Twelve NFL teams have never won a Super Bowlā¦
The Bucs have won two the latest just 4 yrs agoā¦
and all of you arm chair GMs what to get rid of
Jason Lichtā¦amazing!
March 11th, 2026 at 9:41 am
I am hearing talk from JBF commenters about a āsoftā tank coming – it is somewhat comical that the āwin-nowā Bucs sloganeering of the last few years has resulted in a mediocre W-L record which could arguably be called soft-tanking – – – nevertheless what is needed is a āhardā tank to dislodge the Arians-Bowles-Licht constipation from the One Buc intestinal tract, expelling those obstructions into the proper receptacle to be flushed away – maybe beat the Browns as a fig leaf, but striving more for a 0-17 record than than the 8-9 record we have seen of late – but definitely no better than 3-14
March 11th, 2026 at 9:41 am
Didnāt Licht say Braswell was going to shock us in 2025? Ironic that last offseason the debate was would the Bucās or Falcons win the division. This offseason itās going to be which one will finish last.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:42 am
“I wouldnt bet the farm on it⦔
I mean, we know we need help there.
Obviously didn’t find any value in the FA market.
Where else are we going to find someone to play opposite of Yaya.
Also, not to mention there being rumblings about Yaya getting extended so he doesn’t hit the market in 2027.
Say we do extend Yaya, wouldn’t you feel good complimenting that not with a gaudy FA, but a cheaper, younger option with a drafted edge rusher?
At the very least, our inaction on the FA to address the position has made the likelihood of drafting an EDGE rusher in the first(something Licht has yet to do in his time here) a lot higher
March 11th, 2026 at 9:42 am
Bruce Arians for Gm

Haaahaaaahaaaaaa!!!!
Licht sucks
March 11th, 2026 at 9:46 am
Good. No waste mone on the Bowzo 3-4 flop defense.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:48 am
Nelson an Brasswell. Hendrix no good in pass drop back cover.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:48 am
The press needs to start asking Licht and Glazers what the plan is? Fans are owed an explanation if they plan on blowing this season off. I came from a big football market in Dallas, which goes year around. The press in Dallas is always making someone mad for asking the hard questions. It seems like the press in Tampa kisses the team’s butt, afraid their access may be cut.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:49 am
I have to give kudos to the Bucs for not feeling the immense fan-prssure for spending this kind of cash on a 32 year old pass rusher with a bad hip. So, will JL swoop in as a friend to help Spytek out OR move in for the kill? There is NO WAY Raiders will get two 1st round draft picks now. I’d give them our 3rd and a late round next year and call it a day.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:51 am
So Shaq Barrett and JPP will be back. Nice
March 11th, 2026 at 9:51 am
Now, go get Kyler Murray for NFL minimum with the Cards paying for most of his 2026 salary.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:51 am
Bunch of whiny babies !!!! Ya’ll fools on here acting like you know the NFL “business” better than Licht and Co. Meanwhile, ya’ll are the same ones that want Hendrickson AND Crosby. I’m as passionate as the next fan but this isn’t Madden. Do you really think Licht and Co want to tank the season, just to be fired at the end of the year? Stop it !!
March 11th, 2026 at 9:52 am
Not worth the money so Iām supporting not signing him. Ravens overpaid cause they fired Harbaugh and donāt want to look bad. Chaison is a better value option.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:53 am
Glazers are members of the tribe and as such, they are cheap AF.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:54 am
Another one bites the dust
March 11th, 2026 at 9:54 am
btw hats off and kudos to the JBF commenter(s) who have been referring to Licht as āFred Flintstoneā – that is an awesome meme that I hope takes off – Todd Bowles has memes relating to his last name and its suggestion of a certain bathroom fixture – getting kinda old but it fits – and it is ubiquitous- I would very much like it if any reference to Bedrock / Flintstones would immediately conjure up an image of hapless Jason Licht – JBF folks please make it happen
March 11th, 2026 at 9:54 am
We aināt going nowhere without a pass rush. Whoās left to sign?
March 11th, 2026 at 9:58 am
“We aināt going nowhere without a pass rush. Whoās left to sign?”
Maybe, Al-Quadin Muhammad, maybe, but he’s turning 31 soon, coming off a breakout year, and is probably pricing himself a bit too richly all things considered.
March 11th, 2026 at 9:59 am
I canāt go for this soft taking noise. I think theyāre just sucking eggs. They are trying but arenāt shored-up where they need to be. This magical thinking the Bucs front office has that Bowles can make chicken salad out of chicken spit has got to stop. Look how thoroughly the Rams addressed their defensive deficiencies before the draft. That is how itās done. The Bucs can still add Crosby, David and Aaron Stinnie or maybe even Wyatt Teller to their existing FA haul of Anzalone and Gainwell and get an A+ FA grade from me. The cap is fake. The pieces we need are available.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:00 am

What free agent edge rusher in his prime or trying to enter his prime wants to come play in a Todd Bowles defense that will see them drop into coverage on a passing down? They lose value the longer they play for Bowles. Thats the reality. Even our rookie rushers come in and put up their best numbers in the scheme in their first year and then get progressively worse production every year it seems.
Shaq Barrett had 19.5 sacks in his first year here and was rewarded for that in the scheme the next year by moving him to left end so a one-armed JPP could play right end. No coach in his right mind would allow that to happen, even if the player was OK with it.
This isnt a fast attacking scheme that players want to be in. This is off man/zone prevent defense in the 1st quarter. Fast players are forced to play slow in this micro managed nonsense.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:06 am
I bet you they could get Crosby for one 1st round pick.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:07 am
Yeah 4 years is too long. Thats too much money. It would simply be catastrophic if that doesn’t work out. I understand everyone wants big moves, but trading away the farm for Crosby and dropping all the money on Hendrickson are both not the answer.
They absolutely need to address the position in some capacity though. Same with MLB.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:07 am
Trade a 4th or 3rd to the giants for Kayvon Thibodeaux.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:09 am
I think the Ravens had buyers remorse. They did the Raiders dirty. Maxx Crosby’s price just came way down. But as usual we will sit on our hands with a lame duck coach.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:09 am
You can say the Ravens overplayed, but at least they are trying to get better, we arenāt even trying
March 11th, 2026 at 10:11 am
Couldnāt afford this guy. Itās a simple as that. Pushing contracts down the road only leads to situations like today, where there is no money to pay anyone to come here. And Bradley Chubb is still under contract with the Dolphins. He might get released on June 1st. Nobody can speak to him now. So he is a non-factor.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:12 am
Hendrickson’s deal is $60 million guaranteed and a $20 million signing bonus, plus he gets $500,000 for hitting 8, 10, 12 and 14 sacks in a season.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:13 am
Todd bowles is the new Hugh Culverhouse. Nobody coming here! Hopefully licht can find at least 53.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:13 am
Trade a 3rd or 4th for Kayvon Thibodeaux or Jonathan Greenard.. then again Licht wouldnāt even do that.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:15 am
Donāt worry everyone. We have David Walker lol.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:16 am
Not upset about it. Not sure he would fit into Bowles’ scheme. Also, back to bargain shopping. Panthers are making real moves and we’re shopping at the outlet mall. Let’s hope the frugal Bucs can spot talent and actually use it.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:19 am
Lose out on Mike Evans, fail to signs. Top flight edge rusher. This season is shaping up to be another lackluster one.
Licht and Bowles should be on a year to make the playoffs or get replaced. Looking more and more likely by the day that Tom Brady was the sole reason we had a good team in 2020-2021.
This is a bad look for Licht. Ownership may be calling the cheapness, but the GM and HC are not getting it done.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:19 am
Overpaid. So not too upset.
But as someone said, this is a lame offseason.
Yes, Dean was often injured. Hall was vanilla.
But someone has to replace them. Who?
Gainwell for White was an even swap.
Anzalone has been good for other teams. Will he disappear here like Reddick?
March 11th, 2026 at 10:21 am
Did anyone really expect us to sign any of these high priced guys?
March 11th, 2026 at 10:23 am
Imagine this defense with Zion and Morrison as your starting corners and opposing quarterbacks having all day to find open receivers with Braswell and Ya Ya as your edge rushers and a backup DT because Cancey is hurt again. This is the 2026 season reality. Itās a Bucs Life
March 11th, 2026 at 10:24 am
@Bucfan1988 “If they donāt get Chubb someone else decent then they are treading water this year preparing to blow it all up!!!!!
If this was the plan then why the hell did they bring Bowles back??”
me thinks thats why he was brought back AND part of the plan…
Now fix that O line and get Ioane….ILB and edge later.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:24 am
Damn, this offseason and Lichtās non-moves are upsetting. Feeling like the glazers kept Bowles to save money and not spend any on FA. Terrible outlook for this season.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:24 am
and to all the Licht / Arians fanboys – why do you think Brady came to TB ? all the Fred Flintstone / Colonel Sanders slobberers will crow that it was because Licht and Arians built a SB-bound powerhouse – yes a powerhouse that finished 7-9 in 2019 – Brady didnāt go to a GOOD team because teams like the Ravens Niners and Chiefs didnāt need him and have strong coaches – he went to a BAD team and molded it in his image – the weak coach and GM in TB had no clue how to win and Brady was their savior – as soon as Brady left, back to mediocrity – just sick of hearing how great Licht and Arians are – just pathetic – and yeah I have been in Tampa since 1988 and went to quite a few Testaverde games then I saw the turnaround in 1997 – so I know what it is supposed to look like
March 11th, 2026 at 10:24 am
Can Baltimore be any more stupid?????
Ozzie is no longer the GM. Obvious.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:25 am
31 is too old.
Glad Bucs didn’t sign him. Go heavy in the draft on edge rushers, that’s really the best way to find a good one. You have to luck into it.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:25 am
For the fans upset at missing out on Crosby & Hendrickson, please remember the player has a huge say in who he gets traded to. Now it might not be a good sign that they’re not interested in Tampa, but the team can’t sign a player that has no interest in the Bucs.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:25 am
I expected us to do something in FA. Really didn’t do much, but lose guys. We kept Bowles, did nothing in FA. I guess my feelings of not caring either are justified. Blazers dont care, why should we. First time in my 50 years of being a fan, I dont care.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:26 am
This organization is a snowball headed for hell ever since the collapse last year. I wish I owned the Bucs I think everyone can see what the issues are here in Tampa. I wouldāve fired Bowes and litch Arians the whole damn deal. I wouldāve hired harbaugh and his entire staff. Bowles shouldāve been fired in 2024.
Tampa has had the offense, this defense has ruined the offense, and Bowles is to blame. Itās embarrassing to be a Bucs fan right now
March 11th, 2026 at 10:26 am
They are not going to spend any money. There will be no pass rush in 2026 just like there was none last year. They will say it was because of injury and you will see Kancy and YAYA out there as your pass rushers plus whoever they draft.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:26 am
I canāt really blame the Ravens (for paying a kingās ransom for Trey). They had to try to save face after unwinding the Crosby trade. Who knows, in a world of conspiracy theories coming to fruition more often than not, perhaps JL got some insider info from his ex-colleague Spytek that the deal between the Raiders and Ravens was getting flushed and perhaps Jason is working on a (far less draft pick heavy!) deal for (injured???) Crosby? He does like to roll the dice if the price is right. Probably just fantasy on my part lol
March 11th, 2026 at 10:27 am
This is a travesty. Should have been our first FA signing. Then the LB
March 11th, 2026 at 10:27 am
Licht is done with free agency and is banking on hope. What did he do last year when he finally dipped into free agency he signed a busted edge rusher then it was a half hearted attempted just signing depth guys that sucked at special teams. We know heās going to sign one big name and bargain shop to look for a āgemā
March 11th, 2026 at 10:28 am
If the Glazers wanted to be cheap and save money this season why waste $20 million on Cade Otten?
March 11th, 2026 at 10:28 am
We will have a top 5 pick next year. Who we taking ? Jeremiah smith ? Arch Manning?
March 11th, 2026 at 10:29 am
Somebody send a boatload of spinach to David Walker, put him in a superhero development lab, something
March 11th, 2026 at 10:31 am
David Walker is too busy streaming on TikTok and Twitch playing nba 2k and Madden. Heāll have 2 sacks at the most.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:32 am
Unless it’s Tom Brady, you don’t win the season in free agency.
Anyone you get will be too broken down, too old, or too expensive.
You need more than just a single player… ask Green Bay fans if they wish they were Seattle right now.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:34 am
Not surprising. Who would want to play in Bowles wonky defense if they had other offers? Who would want to be in coverage 10% of the time, or whatever it is, if youāre a good pass rusher?
March 11th, 2026 at 10:38 am
Starting to feel like this is the last year of Licht and Bowles if we fail to make the playoffs. What the hell is the plan at one Buc place? Bunch of fools with a toothless edge rush. Disgusted by their approach. This puts all the pressure on a draft pick being legit, and if they arenāt we are going to be more screwed. Stupid football operations if you ask me.

Good ol Jason limp d licht cant do anything again. Honestly tbeyre both cooked
March 11th, 2026 at 10:44 am
Would rather draft a young hungry edge rusher, for minimal pay, who is going to be hungry for a second contract, then guys in their mid 30ās who are coming off big injuries who have already made tons of money and have no need ( or desire) to sacrifice their bodies for the good of the team. Crosby and Hendrickson will in no way live up to what they just got paid.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:46 am
Jeremy Fowler reporting that we were among five other teams involved in talking to Hendrickson, but that we wanted a shorter-term deal, and Hendrickson wanted something longer.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:46 am
Bigboibuc,
What edge rusher is going to be good enough to get paid a second contract? Yaya is a #2, and it would be stupid to
Pay him big Bucs next year for being average. We need a difference maker. Licht and Bowles are screwing the fans.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:48 am
Saw the same tweet from Joe and itās def a soft tank IMO.
In the sense thatās itās not a full on rebuild and theyāll provide some modest upgrades on defense this fall (low bar) and give Todd one more chance to defy logic and save his job. But the likely outcome is a young head coach with a modern philosophy in ā27 with a loaded draft class and a pretty clean cap situation. Iām hoping itās an offensive coach.
Going out and signing vets to 4 year contracts worth 100+ million $$ doesnāt fit into that strategy. Keeping your cap clean and drafting for the long term does.

The Bucs lost next season as soon as we decided to retain Bowles.
It doesn’t matter who we sign/draft, we are guaranteed not winning the SB next year which is all that really matters.
And we’ll most-likely have another losing record, forget the SB.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:49 am
Never saw this signing for the Bucs happening. A blind man saw TH being too expensive. Too much hype drove his price tag out the roof. Maybe the Bucs get Chubb, but I doubt it at this point. This is going to be a lost year. Glazers are going to pay Bowles one more year and pack his bags after that. Remember, they went after Harbaugh, but his demands were too high for them. They’ll bide their time and wait for the next crop of HCs to pick from that can actually put together a winning team. The players are just going to collect a check and look forward to the new coaching staff when they come in.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:50 am
Bucs ain’t even touched a single restructure. Todd has cosumately rubbed off on Jason.
The blob

What a 50 year anniversary
March 11th, 2026 at 10:53 am
Couldnāt find a way to land the guy who literally said he wanted to play in Tampa. I guess the Glazers have stopped caring, and so have I.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:53 am
You donāt pay a kingās ransom for an edge on the wrong side of 30. Sign a few Tier II free agents for depth and special teams. First three rounds draft ILB, edge, DL, hopefully find starters or reliable rotation pieces, rounds 4 and 5, OL and DL depth, rounds 6 and 7, buy a scratcher, you never know. Then my favorite time of year, signing UDFAs. New OC and ST coaches will get you to 10-7, and a seat in the playoffs. Two and done, best case scenario.

Our 1st round pick bout to possibly pull a Bo Jackson, that’s where this ship is at
March 11th, 2026 at 10:56 am
the reason you are not seeing any FA activity out of Bucs HQ is that Licht and Arians are roaming around the north Georgia mountains like the hillbillies from Deliverance and looking for canoeists to befriend – they are AWOL while the pirate ship is aflame and sinking
March 11th, 2026 at 10:57 am
What’s the point for next season? To me with all the quality coaches that were available this year I am dumbfounded why Bowles is still here. The Glazer boys are in their 60’s. How many years do you have left to live? Why waste one day at this point. Spend every dollar of cap money. I almost get the feeling this team is a cash cow for the Glazer’s soccer team spending which is their true passion. Sell the team if you aren’t all in on winning each and every year. I’ve been a Bucs fan since 1976 when I was in the 2nd. grade. I have paid my dues as a Bucs fan. I’ve spent more money supporting this team than I really could afford. Why do they let me down so much? I just wish ownership was as all in as our passionate fan base. I love my Bucs but I am getting old way too fast. Some of us have given everything we have to this team. It’s just painful when I look at all the time, effort, and misery we all go through. Get with it Glazers. Please , I am begging you. Signed, lifelong Bucs fan and believer.
March 11th, 2026 at 10:58 am
Theyāve got to be tanking, this is ridiculous. Cant wait for the Ira Kaufman podcast to drop today, Iām as fired up as Joe about the state of the toothless edge rush. Theyāve got to be kidding me.

Our GM was kidnapped and mind altered by aliens.
At Cade’s press conference “its a new, but same ole, day in Tampa Bay. M1K3 or no Mike, Edge or no Edge; our next superbowl victory is on the horizon. Just a few more late clearance pieces away. And to introduce the core of our offense, Ill hand it over to just the HC to finish leading us to the promised land. This is nearly a Super Bowl roster”
March 11th, 2026 at 11:02 am
You folks need to get a grip. I remember last year everybody banging the drum for Reddick. We go out and make the big splash on him and…got bumpkiss out of it. Everyone was dancing in the streets (myself included). The only big pass rushers available this year were Crosby, who went for 2 1st rounders, only to apparently fail the physical, and Hendrickson, who got PAID after being hurt and not really producing. We filled a MAJOR whole in ILB and everyone is still crying! Don’t know what you guys were expecting. Welcome to reality. Chubb, Bosa, etc are still out there, warts and all.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:02 am
See what you can get for bake instead of paying him
March 11th, 2026 at 11:02 am
I think the Bucs are playing for a new QB in 2027 along with all new coaches. It’s all about the payroll. The ivory tower is only committed to itself. This gives me the excuse to further drift away.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:02 am
Glazers trust Licht too much. The guy is killing this franchise along with his defensive genius sidekick. I doubt either one of these geniuses move the needle in the right direction on defense. If anything this defense will be worse. At least it will be their last year here.

I was only calling for Bowles head – but the way this FA has started the Bucs need to consider jettisoning Licht as well. Itās clear we are on a downward trajectory as a team
March 11th, 2026 at 11:10 am
Glazers arenāt spending any real money THEY KEPT BOWLES
GLAZERS know what they have in Bowles
No Coach No Players

@SteveKā¬ļø
I guess you struggle with reading. My post said spend it on a young edge rusher we DRAFT who will be hungry for a second contract. Not one thatās currently on the roster. Slow down Bud, and read.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:13 am
Well, it looks like Licht and Bowles have to go dumpster diving again. They need to dig deep this time, LOL… At the end of next year, there is going to be a forest firing Winnie Roast in TAMPA, all of them will be on the end of a stick !!!!!!!

Another year of YouTube for me, but I be looking at my 49ers. At least they are trying. This whole organization is pathetic.

March 11th, 2026 at 11:20 am
Its time or a 50 into 51st year documentary
March 11th, 2026 at 11:21 am
I never wanted Hendrickson to begin with. Bad investment.
The Raiders thought they were taking advantage of the Crows with the trade for Crosby…but the Crows pulled one over on them. Love it.
Now, the Raiders will need to take a lot less to get rid of his salary because they went on a spending spree.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:22 am
Doesnāt bother me they didnāt get an expensive edge but if itās not addressed properly then results will be the same as last year. Drafting a single edge in round 1 isnāt going to cut it. We fans donāt know the strategy but if edge isnāt addressed then I can see why fans are thinking this will be a ātank year.ā
March 11th, 2026 at 11:22 am
According to Jeremy Fowler (BSPN) this morning, Bucs were in the Trey mix. Bucs just wanted a shorter term deal vs 4 year deal for an injured 32 year old pass rusher.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:24 am
Everyone needs to relax. The defense is getting a complete overhaul.
As to the offense, isn’t Bucky Irving a free agent now too? Bufs didn’t tender him.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:24 am
We need a Bucs 51st year anniversary documentary the Perforning Arts or Straz Center asap
March 11th, 2026 at 11:25 am
I love how we signed two free agents on the first day and all anybody can talk about is how we aren’t doing anything.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:26 am
They weren’t even in the signing odds. That’s bs. Ill take a 35 yr old Hendrickson over Braswell anyday
March 11th, 2026 at 11:27 am
So…out of curiosity…would it be better to trade for Crosby or to trade up for the best Edge Rusher in the draft?
March 11th, 2026 at 11:29 am
lol⦠This team CONTINUES to be Irrelevant! This shouldāve been a layup and the Bucs blew it again! This team is So Cheap! No wonder they graded Poorly with their players! Oh and ā3rd and 28!ā!

No appreciation for the process, they wanted us to do something that’d be uncharacteristic for our front office and go against our reality of having a little sliver of space under the cap.
Our pass rush isn’t cured with 1 player, we just saw Seattle win it all without 1 players having > 7 sacks, but they did have 4 players with at least 6 sack a piece. I’d say trust the process, new league year doesn’t start until today, but batches are going to batch they don’t care about process. Now some of you are attacking Bucs media coverage or griping as if NFL front offices make moves based off fan sentiment lol delusional
March 11th, 2026 at 11:36 am
This team is so poorly run.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:37 am
No pass rush= no wins= NO BOWLES
March 11th, 2026 at 11:38 am
Seems like other teams can always find creative ways to sign people, Licht is on a Checkerboard and other GM’s are playing 3D Chess. Joe always tout this guy of Ring of Honor, I tout him as a ring on a toilet Bowle(s) not knowing what to do to get out of it.
Yeah, if you are tanking then blow it up. Trade Mayfield, sign a bunch of players at league minimum and shaft your fan base for 2026-2029. Mayfield is on a QB friendly deal, after Murray lands there could be a team needing him. Maybe Bucs should land Murray, trade Baker and come clean with the FANS that they are rebuilding, don’t expect winning seasons for the next 3 years. But again, Murray would not come here.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:41 am
Mike leaving the way he did, signaled to the entire league that this is an absolute dumpster fire of a front office
March 11th, 2026 at 11:41 am
Licht should offer a 2nd for Crosby, lol.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:42 am
Warren Brooks Lynch – 100% agree. Well said
March 11th, 2026 at 11:42 am
This organization can go jump off a tall bridge.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:43 am
I was a huge licht fan for many years but these past few years and his downright disregard for the edge rusher position can no longer be defended. Get his ass out , he will definitely be gone after this season with toilet Bowles after we win 4 games and are having to send blitzes to get any pressure with those young corners back there fighting for their lives in Bowles complex scheme ! We miss you BA!!!!
March 11th, 2026 at 11:43 am
THIS TEAM IS A JOKE TODD BOWELS IS TRASH AND SO IS JASON LITCH 4-13 OR WORSE GLAZERS ARE TRASH
March 11th, 2026 at 11:46 am
While I kind of understand not wanting to pay the money for a possibly injury prone player, this is your weakest link on defense other than the DC and there’s no urgency to try and fix it.
Plus, Licht cannot draft a DE to save his life. And his handpicked HC\DC cannot coach or develop a DE of quality.
ME13 had enough and bolted for a far better situation. Bowles sucks.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:46 am
Who in here has confidence in Licht drafting and Bowles developing a legit pass rusher?
Itās not happening, so it begs to question why are they not doing anything? They are choosing to suck.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:46 am
Maybe, just maybe, M1K3ās deal may fall thru!!! We can get him back!!! šš¼šš¼šš¼
March 11th, 2026 at 11:47 am
Licht needs to step up and get us some pass rushers worth their salt. He fails to do so, heās gone with Bowles as the end of the season when we go 6-11/7-10.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:47 am
@warren brooks problem is we have zero pass rush and Bowles has to scheme sacks we canāt rush with four or 5 lol
March 11th, 2026 at 11:47 am
How much worse will this team be next year?
4 wins?
March 11th, 2026 at 11:47 am
I give Jason Licht an A- for this Free Agency period
I love the fact that he’s going to build through the draft
He’s getting rid of aging injury prone players
I think Licht get 4-5 impact players from the draft, UDFAs.
I love the job Jason Licht is doing as GM
He will sign 3-4 veterans for the minimum
And maybe one of them will workout
This team is head in the right direction
What l love most about this Ownership, GM, HC
They don’t listen to the fanbase
They have a plan in place, and they stick with that plan
They stay the course
March 11th, 2026 at 11:48 am
Everyone that thinks this team is tanking leave your Venmo name, Iāll do the same. You have mentally challenged people on here thinking baker is gonna tank, thatās not baker. Won some good games this year without Mike and Bucky. We still can get defensive players, draft is right around the corner
March 11th, 2026 at 11:48 am
Dont worry guys.
This team is building through the Draft and smart FA choices.
Besides its not easy to find a good edge player with 10+ sacks that can cover RBs in most 3rd and longs.
Cant wait to see the articles next season (again) about how the Bucs are top of the league in the percentage of players that were drafted from the team. Because apparently that means something even if the team is mediocre.
Go Bucs

……
Warren I respectively ask, what other major sports cities have you lived in?
The press in Tampa does no hard questions. probably afraid they will get cut out of the free lunches and not be invited to travel with team. The NE outlets would crucify this ownership/management team. Dallas, press would eat them alive. KC folks would at least ask what is going on. Tampa is Crickets, even when trade deadline came and pass last season.
I usually like your comments, don’t always agree but the 4th estate in Tampa needs to start asking if not demanding what the heck is going on. Do your job press.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:49 am
Whatevs⦠how much money you willing to bet they have more than 4 wins?
March 11th, 2026 at 11:50 am
Bucs should trade baker to the saints.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:50 am
JL needs to go, this is ridiculous, Yaya will be the best pass rusher again, weāre screwed.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:52 am
Where edge rush?
March 11th, 2026 at 11:53 am
Even in my edge rush blues, I donāt blame Bucs here for not wanting anything more than a year or 2 rental with a 31 year old coming off of injury (hips too mind you) amongst other things and def not at close to $30 million a year. Albeit, we still donāt have an edge rush. Edge rush heart strings being pulled all over. But I objectively canāt blame Bucs here for that kind of business decision.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:56 am
maxx crosby on one knee will still add more life to this defense since suh was on the team
March 11th, 2026 at 11:59 am
Dodged another bullet by not signing Hendrickson. Im sure JL offered something that made more sense than the ridiculous deal he got from the Ravens.
I’ll sit back, eat some popcorn and watch the meltdown of all the GMs in here who wanted the Bucs to sign all these overpriced edge rushers.
March 11th, 2026 at 11:59 am
I believe Joe speaks his mind. This site is the best media outlet IMHO for Bucs news, analysis, and fellow fan interaction.
Perhaps we dodged a bullet with Hendrickson. Signing would have been well received initially though may have financially handicapped salary cap flexibility. Only time will tell if the resulting production matches the investment by Baltimore. Seems to me they priced everyone else out. Should we have beat their offer? Meh.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:00 pm
Lakeland- I hope you’re right. Unfortunately, history speaks otherwise regarding edge rushers.
As an aside, I hope we are dead wrong about Braswell and Diaby and they blow up. I just don’t see a front 4 combo that scares anyone. Can Kancey stay healthy? Can Vea stay on the field? Who subs? Does Roberts see more playing time?
And then there’s the secondary…
March 11th, 2026 at 12:01 pm
This season will come down to the play of Baker Mayfield
With a healthy offensive line, good run game, and receivers
Baker has to get the job done, no excuses
Jason Licht signed Kenneth Gainwell, Cade Otton
Those two players combined for 132 receptions last season
They will blend well with Egbuka, Godwin,Tez, Miller, Bucky
The defense will be fine, they played Top- 10 defense down the stretch last season
Licht signed an experience ILB who had 9 PD last season
More than our LBs combined last season
Bucky, Gainwell will improve the Run with a healthy Offensive Line
I predict we win the division this season
March 11th, 2026 at 12:06 pm
The Cleveland Browns record the 4 years before Baker Mayfield was 11-53. Baker Mayfield record the following 4 years in Cleveland was 32-32-1. And 1-1 in the playoffs. And he had 3 different head coaches, 4 different OCs, and Odell Beckhams father whining his baby cakes wasnāt getting the ball. Baker also played one of those seasons with a torn labrum and fractured shoulder. His fifth year he was on 3 teams rosters. I flew to Charlotte that year for opening day Panthers against Cleveland and Stefanski whoād just let him go. Baker put the Panthers ahead with under a minute to go with an incredible should have been game winning drive but Cleveland kicked a 57 yarder at the buzzer. Carolina fired their coach Matt Rhule after 5 games. Baker led an incredible win after 48 hrs with the Rams and closed out that Rams season hanging 55 points on Sean Payton and the Broncos who had the 5th ranked(points against) defense in the league. Then he got to Tampa. Should have won 10 games his first 2 seasons in Tampa but in year one Stroud and the Texans went 80 yards in 4 plays to limit Baker to 9 wins that first season. Anyway, my point is this. Anybody thinking weāre tanking a season with Baker is hallucinating.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:06 pm
So you guys wanted to sign Trey for 4 years at his age man Bucs fans are stupid asf or let me guess you guys wanted Jalen p for 30 ms a year too? we have to worry about the future of the team also guys if weāre going to be bad you donāt want to be the giants teams terrible and they have no cap.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:07 pm
Even if he stays healthy, will be he be worth that money on the back end of the contract? I highly doubt it. I wonder how much of that is guaranteed?
March 11th, 2026 at 12:11 pm
This free agency period definitely proved if you can find a very successful pass rusher in the draft you will save your team a huge fortune in the salary cap. I hope we finally get lucky or David Walker turns out to be beastly. We still need more help at DL and DE (another edge too) even if he does.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:12 pm
Trey is a top 5 player at his position. The Ravens sure werenāt scared to spend the money. I have no doubt he will be a stud for them. Kind of a perfect match. I have no faith Bowles would have known how to use him.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:18 pm
Maybe Duo of Licht and Bowels will sign Crosby. Licht has. Thing for red haired bearded players. Boweles has a thing to ruin that good players performances.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:19 pm
Everyone wants to play for Todd Bowles. Itās uncanny how he is a magnet for players. Hats off to Jason Licht and the Glazers for making sure that Todd Bowles coaches through 2027 at least.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:21 pm
We will sign some low rent bottom of the barrel FAs late in the process.
No early Christmas this year.
Seems like in 2020 we got a new FA every day!!
Ain’t nobody coming to save Todd Bowles from the bed he has made unfortunately.
Seems like we are going after Tomlin or McDermott next year!!
March 11th, 2026 at 12:22 pm
Call the new 51st documentary …. .. It was 3rd and 28
March 11th, 2026 at 12:23 pm
This regime and this season haav already been given up on. These guys are just getting what they can before they leave. Bowles hired his kid and Licht paid his nephew in law money no other team in the league would. I’m only watching the preseason to see some of the rookies in action and then im done for the year lol
March 11th, 2026 at 12:25 pm
Lakeland. I agree 100% with you and the Las Vegas oddsmakers on the 2026 season. We win the division going away and can easily play with any team in this league if our offensive line can stay healthy. We are currently getting rid of the riff raff and hall of famers who show up the coach with their overblown drama. Iām ready to see this bunch start getting down to business this next couple of years. Itās gonna be a sight to see.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:28 pm
So this is what Jason meant when he said Todd was the best man for the job.
Todd gets to be Jason’s fall guy next year. He doesn’t need any good players brought in for that. Todd doesn’t even know he’s being played for a sucker. I feel sorry for the guys on the team.
Slick underhanded move by the Ravens. Got buyer’s remorse and decided they could get the same thing and save 2 1st round picks. Pretty sneaky. Ruined Raider’s plans too. Why would anyone trade with them again?
March 11th, 2026 at 12:29 pm
I remember when we signed Shaq Barrett. Having lived in Denver at the time he played there, I was thrilled. I knew the guy had juice. In Tampa no one knew who he was, and no one was excited about him at all. Worked out pretty good, right? Some of the 3rd day etc signings are just as important as those big splash signings. It’s a marathon, not a sprint as they say. June 7th will mint some more FAs to be available. I’m thrilled with Anzalone and Gainwell. Otton? Not really a fan, but he was really the best option out there and we needed a TE if he didn’t stay. We got a ways to go before Training camp begins.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:33 pm
bakerfan … ‘The press needs to start asking Licht and Glazers what the plan is? Fans are owed an explanation if they plan on blowing this season off.’
Was wondering what the plan is just earlier this morning. I keep asking myself why the Glazers kept Bowles if they’re not gonna give him the resources to succeed? But maybe that’s asking the wrong question.
Maybe the right question is ‘Are the Glazers intending for us to fail this season so they can hire Mike Tomlin to replace Todd Bowles AND have a high draft pick so he can draft a quality rookie QB to replace Baker?’ Maybe the real goal isn’t to fix everything this year, but rather to start the process now but really finish it in 2027.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:34 pm

March 11th, 2026 at 12:38 pm
You don’t need to sign the league’s sack leader to win a Superbowl. You just need 4-5 guys who each get a half dozen. Just ask Seattle. Their top person got 8 sacks last year.
The last time someone led the NFL in sacks and also won a Superbowl was Harvey Martin in 1977. Most times, the NFL sack leader plays for a team that doesn’t even make it to the playoffs.

Agreed.
GLAZERS ARE PREPARING FOR 2027
$100 million Cap
No Baker
Tons of Young Talent
Solid OL
High Draft Picks
That’s the perfect setup. That’s how you recruit a great new HC.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:42 pm
I hate tanking it stinks because that’s a loser mentality to me to lose on purpose. I wish they would just draft Drew Allar and let him sit behind Baker for a year or two if Baker plays good and we get to a NFC Championship game you can bring Baker Mayfield back for another year if that happens. And Drew Allar can develop he just made 21 years old so he has time and then next year you draft defense again and offense. That’s the perfect idea to me than just going out their losing on purpose.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:44 pm
truth be told…if we are tanking the season, bowles is the perfect HC to manage the situation and keep things level headed on the titanic…
and all this was discussed with team glazer when he was shockingly retained and a big chunk of staffers were dumped…
bowles is a real nfler and he will be able to navigate a messy season, because he hasn’t seen many successful seasons anyway…
he might be a perfect fit actually for the job…
and watch baker start looking yonder, padding stats if possible, and looking up the road, because he won’t be resigned either…
i’m starting to think brass thinks they might have squeezed all the juice they can from baker…
it’s early AF…but here goes…
early prediction…
7-10
ceiling: 8-9 wins
floor: 5-6 wins
and no we won’t be in that special batch of bum azz teams with 2-3 wins fighting it out for the number 1 draft pick

Complete idiots, and they wanna upgrade RJS? Back in the day, I pitched in the and bought 4 season tickets, to help build RJS. Heck we all hoped change would come to Tampa after years of suffering the curse of Culverhouse!!! And change did eventually come. Because we sucked so bad we were able to draft several future HOFāS. JL ought to be able to figure out, heāll never stick around to see that happen again. Heās managing himself out of being a GM. Or is he? Glazers proved it in 2020, theyāll pull the trigger themselves, when they wanna go to the Vault. The Goat delivered his first year. They stacked the team around a great young team. Not to mention, BA leading the way!!! After the Bucs didnāt win back to back championships, any knowledgeable fan could see, the Glazer kids counted their $ and closed the door to the vault. I did the same thing as the Glazer kids. Closed the door to my vault, I could see what was coming! Now theyāre gonna start pushing for a state of the art stadium,YES, RJS has outdated itself. Not that they need my money, but they wonāt get it this time around. Bowles stinks, and JL apparently is handcuffed or a complete idiot. Without the Goat and BA, what has this team done more than a few consecutive years since the 90ās and early 2000ās? Not a dang thing. Iāll still watch, I canāt stop loving my Bucs! But it is a very cloudy future.

Edge Rush?!!!! We don’t need no stinkin’ edge rush!
March 11th, 2026 at 12:49 pm
Thanks Glazers for counting your nickels and dimes instead of valuing Ws.
Keeping Todd will leave a lengthy scar on this team.

“The press in Tampa does no hard questions. probably afraid they will get cut out of the free lunches and not be invited to travel with team.”
“I usually like your comments, donāt always agree but the 4th estate in Tampa needs to start asking if not demanding what the heck is going on. Do your job press.”
Sir, the press has NO influence over what they’re told by these franchises, and it’s a working relationship the press isn’t some overseeing authority over any sports team in any sport. Why do you think most NFL teams have their own media teams that they say the same thing to 3rd party media outlets so they can control their own narratives w/o scrutiny.
Do you think Joe can walk into the press room at 1Buc and demand anything outside of the AC of the room to be checked, an extra bottle of water or a seat that’s not squeaky?
No, they can try to probe for hard hitting answers, but it doesn’t mean they’ll get the truth or even get their answer partly answered. That’s why there’s an entire wing of sports media dedicated to guys who in particular that have “inside” information. It’s just the nature of the media beast, it’s a symbiotic relationship and jumping straight to “they won’t aske because they’re scared to lose out” you mean, lose out on how they make their living?
Again, you hear probing asked weekly, if not daily and every once in awhile some media types get thrown a nugget, but they’re in no position to demand things fans think they should be asking. It’s not hard, and to be honest no matter where people are, even NYC there’s a quid pro quo game being played between franchises and media members/outlets. Scratch your back and I’ll scratch yours types of deals, and half of what you see reported isn’t nearly as good as what won’t ever come to print. It’s the nature of that particular beast.
It sounds like you want 60 minutes/Hard copy level investigative journalism from reporters who, in this era are just as likely to write a report based on a players’ social media post than they are to have a serious 1on1 with team insiders. That’s why I said it’s delusional, because you’re expecting police work from mall cops.

Heard conflicting reports. Baltimore is backing out of his signing saying his health is the issue. HE’S NOT HEALTHY PER A RECENT EVALUATION.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:53 pm
Oneilbuc⦠whatās your Venmo and Iāll give you mine, and letās bet if baker is coming back next season. Cuz if the offense stays healthy baker is gonna have a good year. He didnāt get to play with the starting offensive line as a group all season. Put your money where your mouth is
March 11th, 2026 at 12:56 pm
Where is the edge rush? Pathetic team management.
March 11th, 2026 at 12:57 pm
Lakeland you canāt say this season will be on baker, you give credit to the defense for the last few games of the season minus 3rd and 28 and then 4th and 14 but ignored the defense was a bottom three defense the first half of the season. Baker was a mvp candidate in the 1st half then of the season and had 4 game winning drives because the defense couldnāt get a stop. Baker didnāt look as good in the second half of the season though. So yes baker needs to have a good year and play good all year, but this defense needs to show up every single game. Iāve yet to see the defense play consistently
March 11th, 2026 at 12:58 pm
Pathetic Coach, pathetic journalists that are afraid to say things as they are. Right Joe? You ate better than the others in tampa bay? Joke
March 11th, 2026 at 1:13 pm
“Baker was a mvp candidate in the 1st half then of the season and had 4 game winning drives because the defense couldnāt get a stop”
-6 games is not half of a 17 game/18 week season
-The same things that made those “comebacks” necessary, are the same things that caused us to go 3-8 in our last 11 games
-We don’t win the Jets game without that defensive score by Dean
-The last 2 games before the bye the offense was miserable
-We would’ve shut New Orleans out in the first game if it weren’t for a Baker Mayfield fumble
-After the bye we generated as many takeaways on defense as we did before the bye, but the offense committed twice as many giveaways after the bye than they did before
IDK why you guys lie to yourselves like this, and I definitely don’t get trying to get the rest of us to lie to ourselves along with you. Weird aura
March 11th, 2026 at 1:14 pm
I am glad they are passing on a lot of these older pass rushers. It will just be Hassan Reddick 2.0 situation except spending more money. I know a lot of people are hating on Jason Licht but I don’t think he is the problem. I just don’t think Bowles can develop players. I mean it took Bowles 3 seasons just to figure out clock management and hire people to help him with it.
March 11th, 2026 at 1:19 pm
Man, no one here engages in constructive discussions. Makes me wonder why I even bother these days. So many duplicate accounts these days. Really wish only on account per IP Address was the policy.

All the A-listers are breaking down the doors of One Buc Place just for the chance to play with Baker!
March 11th, 2026 at 1:33 pm
Chad,
I’m not it’s all on Baker
What I’m saying is Licht has giving Baker a lot to work with
We are strong at every position on offense
Only injuries and Baker can slow this offense down
Zach Robinson is a proven play caller, an upgrade
Baker is the best QB in the NFC South, by far
There’s no reason why we shouldn’t win this division
But it start with the play of the QB
We went into Seattle and put up 38 points, zero turnovers, only 4 penalties
And the following week, we dropped another 30 on San Francisco
Again, zero turnovers, only 5 penalties
We did this without Mike Evans
Baker has a lot to play for, redemption and a new contract
As a family man with two small children, he’s motivated
That’s why he’s the key to our success this season
March 11th, 2026 at 1:33 pm
Warren brook lynch, I donāt know why you canāt admit that the defense was trash almost all season. Everyone on here will tell you Todd and this defense was an absolute joke, at least we will have a chance to see what baker can do with healthy receivers, healthy o-line and hopefully Bucky stays healthy as well. Baker has to play good all year for the Bucs to win, but the same thing can be said about the defense and your defending the defense, like your sleeping with Todd
March 11th, 2026 at 1:34 pm
No idea why this fascination with Chubb – he’s not a good player. There’s getting a sack because you’re good, and then there’s getting a sack because a QB runs around for 10 seconds before tripping and falling and you touch them down – Chubb is the latter.
March 11th, 2026 at 1:34 pm
***I’m not saying it’s all on Baker

March 11th, 2026 at 1:47 pm
Shat-Canning for Manningā¦possible new mantra.
March 11th, 2026 at 1:47 pm
This is why you don’t fire Bowles this past offseason.
It doesn’t matter what the Bucs do in FA, they have more than enough talent to win on offense and for Baker to look good. But if Baker falls flat on his face again this season, then he’s out the door, and obviously Bowles is with him.
Right now the Bucs seem to be getting things in order for next season, when they will know if Baker has turned into a pumpkin or not, and will be able to hire a new coach for either a completely tear down and rebuild, or if Baker plays well, they’ll have their choice of coaches to choose from.
March 11th, 2026 at 1:47 pm
Ha the Glazers donāt realize it but if they play this smart theyāve dodged a bullet with Mike Evans leaving
March 11th, 2026 at 1:51 pm

google it folks!!!!

March 11th, 2026 at 1:51 pm
I am desperate for a 10+sack edge rusher. If t better happen this season to else Iām good on Licht and Bowles. Canāt win in the modern NFL with a toothless edge rush. Lots of players out there in the trade and FA market, but he believes heās set and for that I believe he will be wrong.
March 11th, 2026 at 1:52 pm
I think this was the best move for the bucs. What nobody is saying is how much the bucs had in cap space. The signings they have made make sense expect for the Otton signing of 3 years 30 million. Its clear that the bucs are going to go all in with the draft as their plan to address the defense. However I don’t trust Licht making the picks. Hasn’t had many defensive players make it 2 a second contract with the Bucs except for Winfield Jr but I think he should be put on the trading block becuase Tykee Smith and Winfield Jr are the same player. Get a couple of extra picks and get a bigger Safety.
March 11th, 2026 at 1:54 pm
I have no fricking idea for WHY in the FFFFFF ANYONE (who is an actual real true āBucs Fanā), would HOPE for the signing of Bradley Freaking CHUBB!? If so, then YOU ARE DELUSIONAL, and are not living in freaking REALITY concerning THIS current Bucs Team. PERIOD. End of Story. You are not capable of seeing ANYTHING past this season, nor do you have even the first clue. These BUCS are a BOTTOM-5 TEAM in the NFC. BOTTOM FIVE with NO SHOT WHATSOEVER. Itās just pure ignorance and having NO PLAN. There is absolutely NOTHING they can do about it THIS season with THIS current Bucs roster and regime. Itās just REALITY AND FACT. Name me 5-TEAMS in the NFC that the Bucs are āBETTERā THAN!? BETTER!? You CANāT DO IT. They have ZERO shot. NONE. NADA. ZILCH.

You could put LT in his prime on this defense and he wouldn’t get double digit sacks. It’s an impossible task when you play that super soft garbage zone defense that Bowles plays. It’s amazing how many people have no idea what they’re watching. When QBs always have someone who is wide open to throw the ball to, the pressure doesn’t matter all that much. Meanwhile, when the Bucs did play aggressive man defense, that’s when they looked competent and piled up sacks. That tells you that they have the talent to get sacks, the issue is scheme.
March 11th, 2026 at 1:56 pm
WAKE TF UP and OPEN YOUR DAMN EYES. Take a step into freaking REALITY. My GODDDDD. Get OVER IT. Move On.
March 11th, 2026 at 1:57 pm
DR. You reckon signing and paying for a stud receiving running back(team captain for Steelers) and signing Cade Otten on the first day wasnāt taking real, real good care of the face of the franchise? The team intends to get continue getting rid of the poor attitudes and malcontents. Look for us to get some help for depth on the Oline and Defense. Iām sometimes shocked by the comments from long time fans of this team.
March 11th, 2026 at 1:59 pm
I hope this Licht āROHā stuff stops. At best heās earned a D- grade on restocking the team. His misses are painfully obvious. If he thinks the draft will fix things he is sorely mistaken. Here I am a fan saying this about someone who does this for a living. That is messed up.

Chubb?
March 11th, 2026 at 2:02 pm
Bargain Bin Defensive Targets
EDGE Rotation Options
Al-Quadin Muhammad ā 11 sacks and 53 pressures in 2025. Productive rotational pass rusher, best deployed on passing downs.
Bradley Chubb ā 8.5 sacks, 48 pressures. Former elite producer coming off ACL recovery; ideal prove-it candidate with upside.
Interior Depth
Jonathan Allen ā veteran interior disruptor who still generates hurries and can handle heavy snap counts as a bridge starter.
Linebacker Trade Target
Patrick Queen ā 120 tackles, 8 TFL in 2025. If paired with Alex Anzalone, the middle of the defense immediately improves.
Honorable Mention (Depth)
A.J. Epenesa ā inexpensive rotational EDGE who can add pass-rush depth if Tampa lands a primary rusher.
March 11th, 2026 at 2:06 pm
The Otten signing was idiotic. Yes that was about the market value for a mediocre (at best) tight end but we shouldāve let him walk as we needed the money to address the defense. Durham and Culp and maybe a late round pick couldāve easily replaced Otten.

“I am desperate for a 10+sack edge rusher. If t better happen this season to else Iām good on Licht and Bowles. Canāt win in the modern NFL with a toothless edge rush.”
Browns are 54-79-1 since drafting Myles Garrett in ’17. 125 sacks, 7 Pro Bowls, 5 first-team all pros, 1 second team all pro and 2 DPOY’s later, I doubt he finishes career with that team being >.500 and he’s easily top-3 edger rusher every year since. Had 23 sacks last season, Browns won 5 games lol
March 11th, 2026 at 2:08 pm
Crazyhorse54. Thatās not messed up at all. Thatās what weāre all doing. Now I will disagree with you. āIf he thinks the draft will fix things heās sorely mistakenā. I think if he drafts Jacob Rodriguez and 6 special teams gunners we can beat anyone.

March 11th, 2026 at 2:09 pm
Bonzai- I always lean towards cautious optimism this time of year because it’s hard to envision what the team will actually look like and feel like when the season rolls around. Big signings don’t always pan out. I was never a fan of signing Hendrickson.
That said, there are a ton of question marks across the defense. I like the Anzalone signing but it’s not enough. The team, defense especially, underperformed even when healthy.

@Melvin = obvious one without paragraphs? š
Regarding Hendrickson – ravens are going to pay him 5 million per sack.
Anybody who thinks Trey will return to his form of 2 years ago probably thought the same thing about Reddick. Giving him 4 years @ this point would have been a stupid move.
The good news is that dominant edge rushers are no more valuable than any other pass rusher. Also we’re getting Kancey and Walker back šš¼
March 11th, 2026 at 2:13 pm
Another angle: bring in one of Alex Anzaloneās former teammates.

Again, if you go read beat reporters, blogs for the Dolphins, scouts, etc – none are very high on Chubb and they said he basically fluked his way into his stat numbers. My example of a QB running around for 10 seconds, then tripping and falling and being touched down for a sack, that’s based on real events – that was the type of production that Chubb was giving.
He’s not a bad player I don’t think, but he’s just a guy. If the Bucs did sign him I don’t think it would be for a lot, and I don’t think it would affect their moves at edge in the draft.
For what it’s worth, and it’s not worth that much to be sure, but PFF had Chubb with a 54.5 defensive rating, with a 60.3 pass rush score, and a 30 coverage score – while Braswell had 57.6 defensive rating, with a 69 pass rush score, and a 50.4 coverage rating.
March 11th, 2026 at 2:17 pm
trade down and collect picks…
draft OL and DT with our first 2 picks….
kick CK94 outside…
Kancey, Vita, Roberts, YaYa…
Glazer boys will honor the life of Todds contract because they’re putting money into cricket, which is good news for Bowles and Licht
Todd and Licht will have to draft and develop….
GO BUCS!!!!
March 11th, 2026 at 2:22 pm
“And to think the Bucs could have traded for Garrett at the trade deadline for a 3rd rounder and they passed.”
IDK how real that is, but we would’ve had to take on his contract as well too, so. . .not saying I wouldn’t want Garrett, but not under team crippling circumstances.
Also, like I said, we aren’t 1 player away, but if we can get a nice 4-7 man rotation on the front, keep those guys fresh, and have the ability to crank up the thermostat on demand we’ll be in much better shape.
our defensive issues can be solved shortening the time between snap and delivery to start forcing more throws into tighter windows, whether the QB is on the ground or not isn’t the end all, be all for me. Get off the damn field is higher priority in my opinion.
March 11th, 2026 at 2:22 pm

@Rod Munch Says: how is that a bad take? What has 1 all pro season that was 3 years ago. You multiple pro bowls like he’s been every year which in fact he is only made 2 and he was an alternate for a joke of a flag football game. The reason I say the are the same is the are asked to both play in the box and blitz. Not to mention they are almost the same size. 2 safeties under 6ft playing deep and we wonder why the TE and tall WRs have big days in the soft zone or win nearly every Jump ball. I’m saying while his stock is high is to get the picks and rebuild this defense and you still have Smith which is way cheaper.
March 11th, 2026 at 2:23 pm
1st round pick it is. Need to sign a Veteran CB not named vildor the culprit of the 3rd and 28
March 11th, 2026 at 2:25 pm
Didn’t prefer Hendrickson and that is a lot of money for a lot of years.
But should have pulled the trigger when there was no other choice.
We are that desperate for an Edge rush
JL needed to get this done
March 11th, 2026 at 2:28 pm
New documentary for 51st year should get the message to the Glazers.
This is a nightmare. So then it was 3rd and 28 …
And off the Edge was no one and the CB on the play was lost as usual ..
And then the joelbryaned kept todd and then jl gave up

It’s always fun this time of year! The speculation, anticipation and optimism abound. What will this team look like? I mean, more so than any time recently we have some big names, HOF vets, leaving town or retiring.
Stay cool brother!
March 11th, 2026 at 2:48 pm
Okay so are we a better or worse team since the start of FA?
We lost our beloved HOF receiver, our best CB, our TD machine RB
And who did we get? Gainwell and a 32 year old linebacker who had less tackles than LVD last year.
My goodness I don’t know how much worse of a start to an offseason this can be.
March 11th, 2026 at 2:51 pm
Life HAPPENS bredren, no doubt. š
And you nailed it ā the bittersweet part of this offseason is REAL. Evans. Lavonte. An era is genuinely closing and you feel it differently than a normal roster turnover.
These weren’t just good players ā they were the IDENTITY of what this franchise became.
But new chapters get written too. š
Stay cool yourself brother ā and don’t be a stranger this time!
March 11th, 2026 at 2:54 pm
Jason and Todd expect fans to trust their smoke and mirrors this off season. Todd has been laser focused busy this off season developing excuses for next year. We couldn’t resign Mike Evans, Logan Hall wanted to return to Texas, Jamal Dean likes the Steelers uniforms, all expected Titanic excuses for a team winning six games next year. Jason has no idea how to build a team. Todd has no idea how to coach a team. The Glazers are just happy to rake in profits. Expect a terrible season next year and be surprised otherwise.

Well by not answering my question on what media markets you have been in tells me that it may not be that many
Yeah I expect the media to be more aggressive, in Dallas there are 2 to 3 talk radio stations which are all day sports and Cowboys are 365 days a year coverage. They don’t let anything slide and yes fans are pretty active in that town to keep the mantra going and it has made differences before. But you are CORRECT concerning what is consider the sports writer of today.
I myself for 3 years have never heard anyone challenge ownership/management/ and just barely coaching being the fiasco that it is with the Bucs. Tampa is just not a hard core sports town, too many other things to do that involve the water and beach.
March 11th, 2026 at 3:03 pm
Yeah, again, I don’t understand all the rage over not wanting to overpay Trey. With his age, and all the injuries, he’s kind of an Unc. Why get ourselves locked into that type of a contract with guy that has proved that he can’t really stay healthy? I’ll have no problem eating crow if Baltimore or San Francisco actually win a championship, but I still don’t think it’s wise decision to sign injury prone players in their early to mid-30’s, just for “leadership”. Call me crazy. Go Bucs!!!

Aggressive how!? Reporters can ask what they want, but what you’re missing is that these sports franchises don’t have to divulge anything. Also, Dallas media criticizes Jerry Jones all the time, you know what Jerry does based off what they talk about? Nothing because he knows they need him more than he needs them.

Kenton … ‘The team intends to get continue getting rid of the poor attitudes and malcontents. Look for us to get some help for depth on the Oline and Defense.’
I don’t disagree with you. But the bigger question is … ‘Are their eyes focused on 2027 or on 2026?’ Without fixing this defense, the Bucs will be hard-pressed to have a winning season.
So far our defense probably consists of Vea, Kancey, Diaby, Anzalone, Parrish, Tykee Smith & Winfield as 7 definite starters, with either McCollum or Morrison as an 8th. I see 3 starting holes as a minimum on defense, and our DEPTH on defense is very questionable. We can’t fix that via just the draft; the real ‘fix’ has to come via a combination of using all 4 high draft picks (Rnds 1-4) AND adding a number of quality free agents.
We’ll probably keep those 9 mentioned, PLUS Safeties JJ Roberts & Wisdom, OLBs Nelson, Braswell, Walker, Kamara, ILB Dennis, and DLine Elijah Roberts. That’s 17 players on defense. I’m still confident we’ll re-sign Izien & maybe Gaines. That’d leave us with 6-7 needed ‘additions’. I’d guess that 4 of those will come via the draft, but that’d be another 2-3 as a minimum via free agency.
I don’t think we can ‘fix’ this defense in 1 year Kenton. Out of our last FIVE drafts, Parrish (2025), Tykee Smith (2024), & Diaby (2023) are the only 3 picks on defense who’ve impressed me. Kancey & a couple others are promising if they could stay healthy. We’ve dug ourselves a deep hole on defense, and thinking that we can draft our way out of it is delusional.
March 11th, 2026 at 3:20 pm
Watch JL draft a DT round 1 lol
March 11th, 2026 at 3:20 pm
Tank year makes no sense… no salary cap issues and there’s enough talent if we added a few more pieces.
So if that’s the plan, why even keep Bowles?
None of it makes any sense.
March 11th, 2026 at 3:22 pm
Losing Mike absolutely deflated this team. Rightfully so. Our team has drastically gotten worse from last year when we lost the division to the panthers. We live by the draft but won a superbowl through free agency⦠rams traded for a CB I can guarantee they make the playoffs. Chiefs signed K9 guarantee they also make the playoffs. Will the Bucs make the playoffs?
March 11th, 2026 at 3:27 pm
Zero sense. On D were just (lol) a FA wise: ILB, Edge, CB away.
Even the other FA TEs stayed away, like the other ILBs.
Draft was for the rest of our needs, not same 3
(That’d supposed be Braswell, McCollum, and Dennis)
March 11th, 2026 at 3:30 pm
Letās go Licht, sign a pass rusher.
March 11th, 2026 at 3:31 pm
Team has gotten so much worse.
Dean, White, Hall were all strengths. Mike we know what he was to this team.
We upgraded at ILB slightly but temporarily, and adequately replaced White
Then we ceiling our Offense with Cade Otton.
We must replace Hall, Dean, and Reddick with studs or this team is not going anywhere beyond 7-10
March 11th, 2026 at 3:33 pm
I remember the trade deadline – weāre not making any moves, we have all it takes already. Yeah. To win the NFC South dumpster fire. Baker, Licht and Bowles wonāt attract any serious talent. No one cares about winning a division with a losing record.

March 11th, 2026 at 3:41 pm
Mohammed would be a good pick-up. Another teammate of Anzaloneās Iād be excited about coming to Tampa is 31 year old DJ Reader. There is no DT in this weak draft that can be expected to give the Bucs what he could in 2026. He isnāt tailing off much yet. A compound injection of Dan Campbell studs could do a lot for the Bucs flaccid defense.

Kenton Smith … ‘Iām sometimes shocked by the comments from long time fans of this team.’
Shocked? Type in ‘NFL free agency tracker 2026’ in your search box and select the CBS Sports entry that pops up (excellent recap of what each team has done in FA).
Guess which team has done the LEAST? Yup, our Bucs. Compare that to what some other teams have done; for starters, the Raiders, the Giants, the Chargers. Then look at what the other NFC South teams have done in free agency.
There’s something radically wrong with what’s going on here. IF the intent is to FIX our shortfalls, we’re falling woefully short while some great possibilities are being signed by other teams. To depend on th draft to FIX our shortfalls is wishful thinking.

The better GM’s do not overspend in Free Agency. Both Crosby and Hendrickson were all of that. So far we are being smart.
Treadwell, Anzalone, and Otton are good signings. So far no Redicks.
It takes a long time for a TE to adjust. Resigning Otton may be the best one.

So what if it was 4 years. Heck do it for 10 years. Itāll be the same type of contract that every NFL team does⦠get his guaranteed money where they would want it and after year 2 you can cut him and doesnāt effect the cap. If he plays like heās worth it then heās good for his 4 years. Or after 2 years change up his deal for more guaranteed. So many ways to do this and we canāt do it for upper tier guys. Must not have been that man huh. We only give good money to stone hand TEās that can barely block because He dat man!! Next year should be exciting because all 4 teams in the division sucks and itāll come down to which team has an actual winning record
March 11th, 2026 at 4:54 pm
Chubb to Bills
March 11th, 2026 at 4:55 pm
Free agents get to choose where they go. Its not always about the money. When it is about the money you get nothing. it will be ok. Most of us will still be here next year.
March 11th, 2026 at 4:56 pm
Well, Chubb is gone. That’s that.
March 11th, 2026 at 4:57 pm
You can’t resign the same players and keep the same coach and gm year after year and expect a different result…..
March 11th, 2026 at 5:00 pm
Bradley Chubb signed a 3 year deal with Buffalo for $43.5m ($14.5m/year)
Trey Hendrickson signed a 4 year deal with Ravens for $112m ($28m/year)
No information/inclination for this organization towards Maxx Crosby – and with as frightened as Licht appears to be regarding high priced players coming off an injury – doesnāt sound like weāre one of the teams trying to trade for Maxx.
Tell me again about our commitment to winning championships and deep playoff runs.
THIS is why Hall of Famer & āBuc 4 Lifeā Mike Evans is no longer a Buc 4 Life.
At this point, you canāt argue that this organization has a mediocre head coach and a mediocre mindset.
A rotational FA linebacker and a backup running back are the equivalent of re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
Weāre wasting the best years of Baker, Tristan, Bucky, and Chris Godwins career.

March 11th, 2026 at 5:05 pm

March 11th, 2026 at 5:12 pm
The Bucs aren’t cheap, there’s just no player worth spending large amounts of money on for multiple years with a suspect GM, HC and QB. We all see this team is going nowhere so why waste the money on injured guys?
No matter how much they spent or how many draft picks the Bucs gave up they aren’t SB contenders so they shut Licht down. Hes done enough damage with his overpaid in-house contracts.
What you see is what you get. Theres no Calvary coming. We’re stuck with Licht, Bowles and Baker until January. Enjoy the ride!
March 11th, 2026 at 5:17 pm
It almost feels like we have the owner from the 1989 movie Major League. If the owners were trying to kill ticket sales, they are certainly accomplishing this. For the past two offseasons, many of us have been imploring the Bucs to do something big to fix their worst pass rush in the NFL. They kept the coach, so that would imply that they believe it is the personnel that is the problem—yet, now they are acting like they are good with waiting for second-rate free agents and the draft. Sounds like a great plan for creating an apathetic fanbase.
March 11th, 2026 at 5:18 pm
Iām going to take a step back though and think more strategically and pretend itās my money for a minute. Heck naw I aināt paying Todd 3 years to go away and no Iām not taking any big swings on players with Todd in charge. I will live with mediocrity for a couple more years , swing for the fences on another big time coach like we did with Arians and let that guy rebuild.
I see it as an admission that we f!$%@d up giving Todd long term money and this is how we fix it.

March 11th, 2026 at 5:31 pm
How about Sebastian Joseph-Day and Calais Campbell signings.
Total cost this year between 10 million and 14 million.
You shore up the meat of the defensive line.
Vea, Kancey, Campbell, Joseph-Day, Roberts as a 5-man rotation.
Then you have Diaby, Walker and Braswell to play OLB.
A smaller but cerebral Anzalone should thrive with that beef up front.
1st round — Edge OLB to take over one of those edge spots.
2nd round — Off Ball LB.
3rd round — OG — does anyone really believe Mauch will be ready at start of season from his ACL tear.

The kids in here are having meltdowns and it’s pure comedy.
Chubb has torn his ACL in BOTH knees, is on the wrong side of 30 and is coming off a disappointing year.
Crosby has a huge contract and the team wants draft picks and/or players.
Hendrickson is 32 and coming off surgery and missed most of last year.
Philips signed for 120 million..never had double digit sacks in his career.
Mafe had 1 more sack last year tha. Braswell.
So glad the Bucs didn’t over pay for any of these guys, especially with Bowles still around.
The new regime will have a good amount of cap space to work with next year and no dead money to worry about.
Sure, let’s spend 25 or 30 mil a yr on an aging edge rusher, only to finish eith 8 or 9 wins. Then be stuck drafting in the middle of the draft each round again
If this team was 1 or 2 players away from being a contender, then id be upset by the lack of bug FA signings, but they’re not and spending just to be mediocre would suck even worse.

‘Thereās something radically wrong with whatās going on here. IF the intent is to FIX our shortfalls, weāre falling woefully short while some great possibilities are being signed by other teams. To depend on th draft to FIX our shortfalls is wishful thinking.’
I was talking about the Bucs. They’ve done ZIP in free agency and THAT leaves only the draft to fix our problems. And THAT’S the ‘wishful thinking’ I was talking about. Bucs desperately needed an aggressive approach to free agency this year to re-populate this defense with enough TALENT so that even dual-hatted Todd Bowles MIGHT get it back into the Top-10 (his defenses have actually worked reasonably well with top talent in the past).

That said, there are a ton of question marks across the defense. I like the Anzalone signing but itās not enough. The team, defense especially, underperformed even when healthy.”

If they truly are rebuilding the defense, then free agency isn’t how to do it yet. You save that for later in order to add final pieces.
Also, the second phase of free agency after the draft ends up putting better talent out there sometimes. Less ricky players at least.
I think, because they are building through the draft, this means a slow rebuild of the defense…which probably means they are prepared to keep Bowles beyond 2026.
March 11th, 2026 at 7:11 pm
Move Kancey to edge. Too small for DE. Couldn’t be worse than Reddick. Missed out on all the available FA MLB. We’ll have to get a couple in the draft now. Still need a CB or two and 2 big DT. No way to get 6 or 7 of the guys we need in one draft unless you’re happy with rookie 6th rounders starting. It’s just unfathomable and irresponsible what JL has not done in this FA period. Intentionally tanking or total incompetence. I’m not sure which is worse. ’26 could have been a decent year.
March 11th, 2026 at 7:12 pm

You got it completely backwards – this proves he’s on the hot seat. He’s being told prove you can win next year. If you can, you keep your job. But the Bucs aren’t going to screw up future years to find out.
The Bucs have plenty of talent on offense to win games if Baker isn’t a complete piece of garbage like he was from week 7 on last year. But if Baker doesn’t bounce back, then it doesn’t matter what the defense does – and it’s a lot easier to bring in a good coach next year if you don’t have a ton of dead cap space or 32-year old players on big contracts.
