I agree with Daniel Z: “Yes, as long as they still fire Bowles.”
He just isn’t the guy to get us to the Super Bowl. Some of the players quit on him, some players are not good enough or just don’t care to do their job. His defense is bad. He should have fired the special teams coach. Grizzard maybe gets a pass because of injuries but I won’t be bothered if he goes. Baker has not earned a high paying extension.

Weird things happen in playoffs. Teams suddenly get hot and cold. You only have so many years on this earth, better believe I’d prefer every one to be a playoff year.

Yep, said this all year, with all the injuries. Just get into the playoffs and hope Baker gets hot – although I’ll gladly take the entire team getting hot.
But if Baker gets hot, the team can score points, and if they’re in, they will need to score points. Outside that awful INT, I thought Baker looked better than he’s looked in a long time, so who knows. That’s why you want to get in.

Of course I want the Bucs in the play-offs. That IS a necessary step toward the goal of winning the national championship in the superbowl which is EVERY seasons goal.
I’m not too sure I’ll be able to root for the Aints though.

Of course you want a chance. I’ll root till they are eliminated. For the players especially. They won today in spite of the coach and Bakers troubles.They should still fire the coach. Just need a 4 game win streak. Will the football gods grant us a chance tomorrow? Does Bowles have any good karma he can use? It’s a Bucs life!

Yes I want the Saints to-win, but I doubt they will. I don’t want Bowles to be HC, but I want the team to win.

You can write it down right now, if the Bucs get in, they win next week. I don’t see anyone in the 5 seed that is going to win 3 road playoff games, so they are toast.
Yes, the Bucs are embarrassingly bad for a supposed playoff team. But this is a weak league of flawed teams. Any playoff team can beat any other one. Really any team in the top 15 can.

Sure, lets hope the Saints win. A home playoff game is revenue for the club, we get LVD and Gene Deckerhoff back for one more game and who knows maybe the Rams lose on Sunday so the Bucs get the Niners. Anything is possible.

I love the Bucs and want them to make the playoffs but I want Todd Bowles and everyone of the coaches gone.

I’m not Baker Boi, but I’ve said for a long time I actually expected him to end the year hot. He has not done that at all – but at least tonight he finally played well, except that dumb INT, which was ridiculously bad. Seriously, they showed the wide angle behind the QB so you could see the defense in total, and it was just a very basic zone, Baker wasn’t under pressure, I legit have no idea what he thought he saw – in addition he had Evans on the other side who was crossing and open, or he could have taken a deep show. A truly terrible read and throw.
BUT, outside of that, he looked pretty good. The Bucs very much limited what they wanted from him, which was the right called based on how bad he’s been playing, but just seeing some life from Baker, having him make throws and not missing everything by a mile, it’s encouraging to see. It might be too late, but if not, I wouldn’t discount the idea he gets hot next week. I’m not predicting it, just saying I wouldn’t be surprised.

Of course, yes. Thats the goal every year no matter what. We have the talent in most player positions, just not the right people in control of it….but if we can squeeze out a playoff push, lets do it…. no matter how ugly it looks.

Long after we’re dead and gone this franchise will be here. Bowles is a failure and has wasted prime Mike Evans youth and other star players and can’t get the best out of anyone. I want whatever gets on fired. I went to my first game in 1977, if you haven’t put in the time don’t criticize my opinion. I knew we’d be going through this the moment he was hired

Not wanting to see a terrible team get embarrassed and keep a failed coach, defense and special teams does not mean you are a garbage fan. To the contrary, it shows you have some pride and realize that limping in to the playoffs after losing 9 of 10 in the worst division makes them undeserving.
