Baker Mayfield Has Cost Himself A Lot Of Cash

December 28th, 2025

Another costly pick late.

Joe certainly hopes for Baker Mayfield’s sake, and yes, even the Bucs’ sake, that Mayfield is hurt much worse than he or the team is willing to admit.

Once again when the Bucs needed him, in the fourth quarter, Mayfield threw another pick.

Granted it was a helluva play by the Dolphins defense to bait Mayfield into that throw. But still, how many games the past two months has Mayfield thrown a critical pick in the fourth quarter?

Joe knows it’s now three games in a row when the Bucs were struggling to seal up a division title and Mayfield threw a pick in the fourth quarter. It happened against Atlanta. It happened against Carolina. And it happened today at Miami.

Look, Joe absolutely loves Mayfield’s intangibles. Early in the second half today the game was about to get out of hand and Mayfield willed the Bucs back into the game. Everything about Mayfield Joe loves.

Except the fourth quarter picks.

Something happened to Mayfield right before the bye. Joe knows Mayfield was hurt. Probably got too banged up against Houston in a heroic effort to help the Bucs win.

Mayfield was a non-factor at New Orleans and hasn’t been a whole lot better since, at least throwing the ball.

At some point, late in the season in the fourth quarter, your franchise quarterback needs to be clutch with his throwing arm, not just his legs.

Mayfield did a beautiful job on that 91-yard drive late. But because of his pick on the previous possession, that scoring drive was too little, too late.

This is why Joe, right now, is hesitant to throw a bag in Mayfield’s lap.

If Baker isn’t hurt there’s a big problem. If he ain’t hurt these coaches have done a great job of wrecking anything he had.

  13. LFG Bucs Says:

He may be hurt. But he played like this in Cleveland before they cut his ass. What makes you think he is a great QB? He is average at best. I’d probably keep him if he was a Free Agent , but he definitely isn’t getting a big payday

  15. ATrain Says:

Really this is the article y’all come up with after that loss

    Try the Title

    BOWLES SHOULD BE FIRED TODAY!!!!!!

  16. Rod Munch Says:

So here’s the quandary for Baker Boi(s)…

If he’s hurt and that’s why he’s been terrible for the last 2+ months, and most of the loses come down to his awful play, then why would you fire the entire staff and make a head coaching change? Shouldn’t Baker just being healthy all by itself be more than enough to have the Bucs at 12+ wins? I mean Baker has single handedly now lost 4 games in a row – and if it’s just health, then this is a playoff team, so you don’t make changes.

But if Baker isn’t hurt, and just sucks, well, that’s impossible. So clearly he’s just hurt, which means Bowles is back next year, right?

  17. Bee Says:

Mayfield isn’t hurt, hes just not good.

Some goofy in here comment that Bakers agent is looking for $250-300 million for a new contract. Did anyone see that type of QB play today? Lol…this is the average delusional Baker fan.

Baker lead all QBs in ints and fumbles lost last season but people claim that was his best season.

I think the Joe’s should call Baker America’s Turnover Machine. Lol…

Theres no way the Bucs are serious about a championship with guy under center.

  18. Tbbucs3 Says:

    Grizzard is the problem….

Mayfield is certainly not free from blame but you cant give up on the guy after a 6 week slump especially when you’ve seen 2 1/2 years of evidence that the dude can play.

  19. Falconrap Says:

Some of us tried to tell ya. Baker is what he is. He’s a dude that kept pace with Winston on picks for most of his career. How many times did he throw into double coverage today? He never beat Trask out. This was all about Bowles wanting the dude he coveted at the Jets and not wanting to use the QB that Arians wanted and drafted. And we’ve suffered because of it. That’s not to excuse the defense that keeps giving up head scratching plays. They have a ton of issues as well, but we could have easily won this game with a QB that can make deep throws and doesn’t throw picks or near picks into double coverage. The guy will never lead this team to the promise land. N.E.V.E.R.

  20. Oneilbuc Says:

Baker is trash I tried to get behind him but he’s not a good quarterback draft Drew Aluar in the first round.

What coach in their right mind would quit their job and move their family to a new city and for a team with Baker Mayfield? Who would risk their career on Baker playing good 17 games in a row?

  33. Herbiebuc Says:

Baker has been been under throwing and over throwing recievers all season. And yet we sit here and droole over his “intangibles” it’s no excuse we have too many weapons !

  34. Tbbucs3 Says:

  35. What the heck Says:

Why give Baker an out “if” hurt.
It’s on him and he is not a good NFL QB

  36. Buc in VA Says:

That 91 yard “drive” was one play, essentially. Godwin catching a short pass and running through a defense that looked like it blew some coverage. That “drive” was pointless and meaningless. What matters is Baker’s decisions when it truly matters. INT. Fumble. When the pressure is on, he hasn’t gotten it done since the bye, when it has mattered every week.

  37. Jeff Says:

    Good, He doesn’t deserve it.

  38. Tbbucs3 Says:

  39. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

He’s a shorter, less criminal Jameis Winston. They should just trade him and plan to suck for a couple years, gather draft picks, get a good QB in the draft and a solid, young OC/HC and rebuild. Ain’t happening with this QB or HC.

  40. Geno711 Says:

It’s the NFL — everyone playing today is hurt — I am not sure why that is more of an excuse for Baker than anyone else.

    —————————————-

Dude! He’s had multi-game slumps every year of his career, including last year. We lost 7 games partly because he slumped. We scraped by in a couple of games when he was playing like crap. Every stinking year he’s done this to a degree or another. It’s why we’re his 4th team. He will never be the guy you think he can be. Liam maxed him out, and he still had a bunch of picks.

  42. Let ‘em bake Says:

Anyone notice Lawrence began to improve when Coen made him wear the wristband? Why? He couldn’t memorize the playbook. Baker never needs it. Coen didn’t have him wear it. The wristband is the shortbus for qbs. Yes, baker forced that last pick. But he needs , like most qbs, a good oc. Grizz fizzles after the opening drive…

  43. Rod Munch Says:

Baker has literally, single handedly, lost 4 games in a row now with the playoffs on the line. They’d be at 11 wins with the division locked up long ago if he wasn’t completely incompetent play.

  50. Popmike66 Says:

Doesn’t matter Joe if Mayfield is injured, it’s something wrong in Tampa. The defense gives up too many big plays and today another rookie kick their …es Mayfield has kill a lot of drives the last 4 games with interceptions but, I still think something wrong down at One Bucs Place

  51. Dom Says:

Baker has been out played by Jacoby Brissett, Tyler Shough, Kirk Cousins, Bryce Young, amd Quinn Ewers in consecutive games. He isn’t the guy. They will keep him for next year to give him another chance, and for cap reasons, but it would be absolute malpractice to extend him. I don’t care about his grit, or how he’s a good locker room guy, he’s been garbage since week 6. They should sign Malik Willis and have a QB battle

  52. Blows sux Says:

If a qb is playing bad week in amd week out its the coaches responsibility to pull him out and put in the back up. Im not saying teddy is better but he certainly couldn’t be any worse at this point. Could he have been just good enough to pull out some of the games we lost? Who knows but a change should have been made This coach has no clue what he is doing.

  53. Winny Testaverde Says:

For all we know…Licht Weight already signed him to an early extension. It would be on brand for Ol’ Jason.

  54. Ted Says:

    ———

Baker was middling in 2023, which is why the Bucs were able to low-ball him on a contract, and frankly, they could have gone even lower, there wasn’t anyone bidding against them.

Baker was very good for much of last year, but in an exceptional scheme with an amazing playcaller, who turned around a terrible Jags team and has them playing for 1st place overall in the AFC.

This year, we’re seeing the Baker that got chased out of Cleveland and cut from Carolina, and the guy in the middle of 2023 that nearly lost his job because he went nearly 2 months without a decent game.

The clear outlier was last year with Coen, and even if Coen was back, Baker probably would have still turned into a pumpkin, because he is what he is.

  58. Lakeland Says:

If Mayfield didn’t stink so bad

We would have clinched the division games ago
    He need to go,
Who cares if he’s hurt or healthy
He cost us wins, maybe a playoff berth

  59. HC Grover Says:

Hd can afford it…Did you see the totall collapso>? I am over and tired of this BS.

  60. Britton Says:

If Baker is hurt then his selfishness is costing the Bucs. The reality is that every year Baker has been here he has been absolutely trash for long stretches in the season. He isn’t good, but gets people fired up with his scrambling and they forget how bad he is the rest of the game. We have more talent on offense than most of the NFL yet can’t score points. Acquiring all that talent on offense has also lead to the defense being neglected. So now we have an offense that can’t score and a defense that makes all the trash teams look like they are superbowl bound.

  61. Day 1-76 Says:

Let’s don’t lay blame where it doesn’t belong. Apparently, Quinn Ewers is a Hall of Fame lock. If there is anyone still out there who still believes in Todd Bowles , we need to get you checked for brain damage. Seriously, how many victories do you see on my one finger after the break?pack it in. These guys suck!

To this day, I only wonder what might have been had Trask been allowed to start at some point. Probably would have done to Baker what he did to Franks, and kept him on the bench. Baker has always had these slumps. Even last year he had a slump, but we were able to do other things to keep it from being too bad. People forget we still lost 7 games last year, and he still had double digit INT’s. And I had another post that got moderated out of existence despite nothing bad in it. I’ll just shrug my shoulders and hope this posts.

  69. Obvious Says:

You can’t give him another extension beyond a one year extension if he’s worried about being a lame duck.

You also can’t bring back the same head coach next year. You have to figure out if he can be salvaged and Todd Bowles isn’t that guy.

You give him one year with a new leader and the new leader can decide if they want to move on in ‘27.

  70. BucfaninMi Says:

  71. Marky mark Says:

Yea, low ball Baker. Cite lousy season. Draft a QB or 2. Use Baker to start the season and transition the kid in. Let Baker go after next season. He can be backup at Carolina, Jags, or Rams. Next week don’t protect him. make him throw the ball every down. He either does great or sucks.no if he sucks low ball him even more. Even if he wins the super bowl still draft a QB. He is old and fragile now. As for Bowles by by.

  87. dmatt Says:

I doubt if Baker is still injured. What sense would that make to allow an injured qb to continue to play in games in which he consistently underperforms on offense. Baker is a fluke and Bowles is an airhead. We continue to go molasses on offense when trailing at the beginning of the third quarter then wait till about five minutes remaining in game to go up tempo to move the ball down the field. Poor clock management n coaching.

A good coach has to have a plan B if his QB is hurt or just sucks. Daniels had a plan B for Tua. Bong water is not a plan at all. There were plenty of QBs on practice squads and in the CFL whose season is over you could have picked up.

  94. Truth Be Toad Says:

Quit blaming Baker. This all starts at the top. Glazers/Licht should have bought Bowles contact out and promoted Coen. Last season was a prediction of how this season was going to go. Defense was the issue, offense was good, and management failed to recognize that. Now you have the players making the decisions that the owners wouldn’t.

  95. Old Sombrero Says:

When he jogs he’s not moving his left arm. He’s holding it still. It’s probably effecting his throws. But he’s also late on his reads; not throwing with anticipation but instead he’s waiting for the receiver to be open which is too late. And he’s missing open receivers (reads are too late). The result is he’s holding the ball too long too often.

  96. Obvious Says:

The wasted opportunity of keeping Coen is a shame. I don’t care how it would have looked to can Todd after a 10 win season. The optics are meaningless.

Great offensive HC with a franchise qb is the nfl cheat code. Not giving those two the chance to develop together to see if they could have gotten there might have cost the glazers a significant amount of money.

On the 2nd throw, the replay actually did a great job of showing what happened, he thought the safety had turned away from the receiver and he thought he had an easy TD, but the safety turned back for the easy INT. Baker, again, was under zero pressure, didn’t throw it because he was worried about a sack or shell shocked, he misread the coverage.

  110. eoschwartz Says:

This season shows that there are a lot of teams in the NFL that have talent including the Bucs. The difference is what they do with their talent. How energetic teams are is a reflection of how the coaching motivates the players.

The Bucs have been outplayed in all of these loses since the bye. There was not one single game in the losing streak that Bucs outplayed or dominated anyone.

Everyone in the organization that isn’t an owner has to be evaluated and get what they deserve. If they didn’t do their job then replacements need to be found if they can.

Coaching is where the blame will fall although GM hasn’t drafted very well on defense and has really been bad at singing decent backups.

    It’s a Shanino-Morris-Lovie-Kotter
    rerun.

  111. BigZ Says:

I can’t believe this was written. Duh. More importantly, he cost the team and fan base more. How about that?
He should be concerned about being on another team 15 months from now.

  112. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“Remember Bowles and the defense aren’t responsible for anything else either.“

    Coping hard with the whataboutism

    We scored 17, barely.

    And allowed 20

Any one of those drives that ended in a turnover could’ve made a difference where it counts most, you know? The scoreboard.

I can remember winning a game back in 2023 9-0, that’s as rare as our offense scoring on back to back drives.

  113. MikeBuc Says:

@munchski keeps over playing his hand llolololol

“And you’re right, he’s no Winston, since for three turnovers today Winston would have gotten you at least 27 points.”

only problem is old winny would give you those ints MOST if not ALL games

ROFL,, thanks for the own goal

  114. GhostofBrady Says:

Deja Vu all over again. Rewind to 2021. Baker is playing fora big contract and the team has high aspirations. He starts the year playing elite. He hurts his non-throwing shoulder. It falls apart from there with turnovers when it matters. They should have sat Baker down for a few weeks, let him heal properly to give us a better chance at making a late season run. Instead, he and the team ego their way to a losing streak. Baker should have grown-up from his Cleveland experience to not tough it out cause your hurting the team. And not to play like a linebacker in a pewee QB body.

  115. BucaneroJim Says:

Baker had more protection this game than most… and still played below par. I said when hired, I’ve always liked Baker but he plays hot and cold. You can see it before games on the sidelines – either amped up head butting players or sitting on the bench depressed looking. I’ve stated, Baker reminds me of Fitzmagic – amazing to watch when on, but only lasts a short time until the implosion.

Could a real smart coach direct him?… well, not likely with the current Bucs staff.

  116. It's Corn Says:

It seems like he throws more picks when they rush the play. It feels like most of the interceptions happen when he snaps the ball with more than 10 seconds on the play clock.

  117. It's Corn Says:

Just like all the other craptastic offensive coordinators, once this team and Mayfield get in the 2-minute drill and it’s in his hands what plays are run more than the OC’s, the team drives down the field effortlessly.

  118. #99 the big fella Says:

Blame Baker all you guys want .the defense is what lost this game for us

  119. MikeBuc Says:

“Baker had all day on the first INT, he got happy feet, pranced around in a circle like a show horse, got outside the pocket, as under zero pressure”

AGAIN learn some football kid. The reason sacks are sooo important is NOT just for that play but because it throws off the QB knowing his line cannot protect him
    THROUGHOUT THE GAME

I well know Baker’s happy feet and thats NOt what I see but a QB that never knows when his line will get him decked. Theres far more running around than the standard happy feet newbs like you reference.

  120. SteveK Says:

Baker playing poorly the last 4-5 weeks. No escaping it. To be unable to recognize it is absolutely delusional.

  121. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“I’ve stated, Baker reminds me of Fitzmagic – amazing to watch when on, but only lasts a short time until the implosion.“

Fitz had a better deep ball tho

  122. MikeBuc Says:

“but only lasts a short time until the implosion.”

on what planet is two years a short time?

everyone likes to bring up CLeveland while forgetting HE WAS HURT the year they decided to go for mister serial abuser

  123. Christopher Schiefen Says:

He threw the pick that cost the Lions playoff game, and he messed up the reverse handoff that cost last year’s. At some point passion turns into panic.

  124. Ballwin Bucs Fan Says:

I get the pattern now. Baker makes an awesome play with his legs, running for a first or shedding a key block or something. He gets super jacked. Then the next play, he has too much adrenaline running through his veins. That’s when he throws the backbreaking pick.

  125. DBS Says:

WBL we are talking about the season. Not just today . Of course if you weren’t so busy flip flopping names you could figure it out.

  126. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Glazers should NEVER have let Coen out the door. After the season ended, they should have promoted Coen and given Bowels some BS position with the organization, or maybe let him stay on as DC. Jax is 12-4 for God’s sake.
If you think coaching isn’t important, look at the Jags and the Bears.
We definitely need an up and coming OC for head coach.

  127. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“on what planet is two years a short time?”

This one, considering it’s about 4.5 billion years old. 2 years relative to its age is a fraction of a wink.

Also, some of you thought Rod and I were the same person.

Hurts my heart, cause I’ll never refer to cover 1 or 3 as “soft zone”

And he kept foolishly thinking Baker could “get hot” lmao which is bizarre because there’s no multiple stretch of games in his time in the NFL he’s been “hot”.

3yrs $66M for Malik Willis, we gotta jump on that make Baker take the paycut next year

Or find a trade partner that’ll foot some of his contract, we need more talent in the QB room!

  128. BucaneroJim Says:

    WBL…

Right, Fitz had a phenomenal deep ball. That was his equivalent of Baker’s fourth quarter rushing heroics.

  129. Bojim Says:

Still love Baker. It takes a village.

“”Mayfield isn’t hurt, hes just not good.

Some goofy in here comment that Bakers agent is looking for $250-300 million for a new contract. Did anyone see that type of QB play today? Lol…this is the average delusional Baker fan.

If he doesn’t get it at Tampa Bay he’ll get it at another team with a better OC and a better offensive line

  131. Hammerhead Says:

Short qb’s seem to be an issue.

Wirfs sitting out is looking to be the proper move.

  132. Scotty Mack Says:

And I ask Joe and everyone else once again, someone will surely pay for Baker’s services so if not Baker, then who?

  133. MikeBuc Says:

“Also, some of you thought Rod and I were the same person.”

    we still do.

  134. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

    MikeBuc

That’s how crazy some of you guys are about Baker lol

The fact there are like 5 people who’ve been calling him out and the responses from some of you get so absurd, you have to cook up some cockamamie conspiracy about it coming from the same individual because no way can multiple people think Baker is average at his best and Chad Pennington/Kevin Kolb at his worst.

  135. Boltsfan17 Says:

There’s a reason why he’s on his 4th team. He may be tough but he’s too small, inaccurate and panics in the pocket. The Bucs will not win with him.

  136. oz len Says:

I’ve alway felt Baker would end up in LA with Sean McVay. Stafford is about ready to eject in the next year or so. You Tampa “Bois” are headed for a teardown. Welcome to my world up here in Cleveland.

  138. Kidfloflo Says:

So people here STILL want Trask over Baker!?? What convenience store is he working at? Ill try and find him and see if he’s still in shape

  139. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

He played like an MVP for the first half of the season. There has to be a reason things have changed.

  140. Wyoming Joe Says:

Haven’t been on this site for a long time. In fact, I purposely stayed away because of jerks like Dr. Muncher. Please go away because you ruin this site for real fans.

  141. Bucs33Saints14! Says:

Homer me says: The Bakin’ Bucs beat the Panthers and surprise the world in the playoffs! 😮
Reality me says: Year 3 is the key year for the QB on a team. I hate to say it, because I was really rooting for Baker, but it may be time to move on ;(
Homer me says: Hold on there. Don’t be a Schleprock. Let’s play out the season and win a few!

  142. Ateonetree Says:

    Malik Willis

  143. Falconrap Says:

Oh, I get it Wyoming, to be a real Bucs’ fan you have to be attached to Baker’s sack, correct? Sorry, been a Bucs fan since watching the first seasons as a kid. Grew up watching Wilder run wild on dudes, while the double-digit losing streak racked up season after season. Remember when Vinny was throwing passes to Mark “Aircraft” Carrier, then throwing them to the other team because he was color blind. Been threw the ringer and sat in both stadiums for quite a few games, including nearly having a heat stroke watching Sapp and the game ring up Steve Young when they started turning things around in 97 (drank 2 large pink lemonades in less than 10 minutes flat trying to stay hydrated in that hot August game). So, no, you don’t have to like Baker as our QB to be a “real” Bucs fan. He had me starting to believe the first few games this year, but then he dropped a load in his pants and turned into “normal” Baker, and here we are.

  144. HC Grover Says:

Oh Noooo I am so upset. BAaaaahaha

  145. Bucblind II Says:

Obviously BM6 is hurt without a doubt. The first 6 games he was THE MVP, winning games in the last minute like few others have done, without his 2 best receivers and a hodgepodge offensive line. Then Detroit where he was hurt. He hasn’t been the same since. He has always played hurt. He is too tough for his own good. If we had a decent backup he could sit. But we don’t, so he plays. All you people that can’t see the forest for the trees will never know what is going on, you are lost. We all saw what he can do with a good OC last year. He was top 5 all year. The first 6 games this year he was #1, no one better and that was all him. OL was a total wreck and his receivers were hurt. Like I said you cry babies need to just shut up and let the men that knows what is going on do the talking.

  146. KingBob Says:

Let’s be honest. BM is the backup you want on a Superbowl roster.

  147. BucsNbeer Says:

You have to admit, our offensive line sucks.

  148. Bucblind II Says:

Bonsai, they don’t want there to be a reason. They want it to be because he sucks but we have a memory that extends longer than 6 weeks. Our memory goes all the way back to September 7th, Atlanta. I “remember” the usual, munch, bee lakeland big 99 etc, etc. saying we are barely beating the sorry teams like Houston. Well now we see they were wrong again, beating Houston in the last minute was actually an MVP moment. They are 11-5 with THE BEST DEFENSE in the league and who abused them in the last minute? Oh, it was our Baker Mayfield. But he’s terrible they say, well not so much, huh??

  149. Bucblind II Says:

WBL and Melvin fall in that category of buffoonery also. They don’t know come here from sickum when it comes to the game of football and especially real football talent. Not a clue. They talk a lot but are wrong about 75% of the time. I mean buffoonery. So glad they aren’t in charge of ANYTHING on this team.

  150. MelvinJunior Says:

@ Let ‘em bake Says: “Disagree. He’s going to get an extension. Too tough. Too talented. Too smart . The oc will be changed.”

You, MikeBuc, and the rest of the BakerBois have no eyes, or are just DELUSIONAL. It’s really pathetic, and embarrassing FOR YOU. There is a thing called “EVIDENCE,” and proven track record. And, another thing… A good set of EYES. It’s all you need. It’s obvious just on the ‘play-calling’ ALONE, that NO ONE TRUSTS BAKER. Not Todd Bowles. Not Grizzard. And, NOT EVEN HIS TEAMMATES. Joe keeps writing article after article, while being dumbfounded about the play-calling on offense. When, it’s really just that simple! They. DON’T. Trust. BAKER. And, for a damn good REASON. He has a very long and well-documented history, ya know! He is what he is. And, YOU PEOPLE CONTINUE to act as if HE is some kind of future NFL HOF’er. One word… DELUSIONAL.

  151. MelvinJunior Says:

And, just so that you “Baker-Bois” are completely aware… Baker will NEVER get even the FIRST HOF vote. Face It. Wake TF UP. Seek help, or whatever you have to do. It’s embarrassing FOR YOU. You are STUCK inside of some weird adult Baker-Fantasyland. It’s DELUSIONAL.

  152. What it is Says:

Bucblind you are right. A qb doesnt play at MVP levels for 5 games, stay ranked #1 in the league for 6 weeks and self-emplode without a reason. I know there are those here that want Mayfield to self-emplode but that’s not the way it works. If these guys knew anything about athletes they would know that. But they dont and that tells you all you need to know about them. If they use the word “boi” they fall in this group of know nothings

  153. #1bucsfan Says:

JOE. What injury could possible be hurting baker to throw 2 horrible picks ? There’s no evidence of him hurting at least what we can see. He’s got the Winston gene. Looks great at times mvp like but can’t keep that consistent. You said the players have taken on their head coaches attitude More like taken on their QBs attitude which is consistently in consistent

  154. MelvinJunior Says:

@ Bucblind – YOU don’t know WTF you are talking about. I can GUARANTEE THAT. I can also guarantee you, that I could take YOU on ANYDAY of the week, and would DESTROY YOU. And, that NOBODY watches more “football” THAN I DO (and has a better ‘eye’ for “talent”). I can promise you that! High School. College. NFL. Plus, I DVR EVERY Major ‘National’ Show EVERYDAY (including the 3 to 4-HOURS DAILY, of Paul Finebaum), AND ‘listen to’ WDAE on the radio, AND I am right HERE. Now, TELL ME where I have been “wrong” LoL oh yea, 75% of the time Lmao, SHILL. I was THE ‘FIRST AND LOUDEST’ on here, about choosing and promoting Cohen OVER Bowles, & now I am on LICKT. So, what about YOU!? Loser. Just because YOU might not like what I SAY. But yeah, I know… TRUTH HURTS. For LOSERS.

  155. MelvinJunior Says:

@ Wyoming Joe Says: “Haven’t been on this site for a long time. In fact, I purposely stayed away because of jerks like Dr. Muncher. Please go away because you ruin this site for real fans.”

NO. You have not been on this site in a long time, only because YOU HAVE BEEN EXPOSED as being the complete total FOOL, that YOU ARE. 💯 CLOWN. Totally biased, and cannot take a ‘single-thing’ YOU SAY, as serious. Because, YOU have ZERO credibility here, on this site. And, I would assume the same in your everyday life.

  156. What it is Says:

That is the ridiculous part of all this. They think that having 10 OC’s in 8 years doesnt affect a quarterbacks play. That is how utterly ignorant they all are about this game they love to act like they are experts at. He has had about as many bad head coaches. Baker has had the worst luck. They love to say, oh yeah he’s got history. Yeah he does have buffoons. He never should have went to Cleveland. Some people have everything handed to them and others get nothing easy. They love to act like that’s all on Baker. But here again, they really are that ignorant about football and how it all works for the good and the bad. Let’s not forget he broke the rookie record for TD’s in 2 or 3 less games. He beat, Mahomes, Manning, Brady, all of them. He was on fire, then the OC changed. You don’t beat those quarterbacks without having mucho talent. Baker will be fine when he gets a good OC again. He has proven he doesn’t have to have the best receivers or a great OL like most quarterbacks. He is that talented and will be back at the #1 spot like he was this year. Hopefully, he will have a line this time that can protect his azz and his run at #1 will be longer, all season if he isn’t hurt!!!

  157. BucHead Says:

“Something happened to Mayfield right before the bye.”
He lost (confidence in) his interior offensive line. Baker’s kryptonite is bad OL play, because it causes him to slide into hero ball, which is his natural state whenever he doesn’t trust his OL. With a dependable pocket, we can expect 0-1 INTs per game. Without, we can expect 2-3. Simple as that.

  158. Oscar Says:

Trevor Lawrence had one decent season since he was drafted and people were beginning to say that maybe he was going to be a bust in spite of being the prototype quarterback. Then along comes Liam Cohen and slowly but surely that narrative is changing. The team is now better all the way around and Lawrence now looks like what people expected him to look like. It’s all about coaching and always will be. I have a lot of respect for Todd Bowles but he’s hit his ceiling. The Bucs need a re-boot. If they hire the right guy they can turn this around immediately.
