GameDay Tampa Bay

December 11th, 2025

Game 14

Dixie Chicks (4-9) at Bucs (7-6)

Kickoff: 8:15 p.m.

TV: Amazon, with Al Michaels, Kirk Herbstreit and Kaylee Hartung.

Streaming: Amazon+, NFL+. (Geographic restrictions may apply; subscription may be required).

Radio: Buccaneers Radio Network WXTB-FM 97.9 in the Tampa-St. Petersburg region (Transmisiones de radio en español en WTMP-FM 96.1 y WMGG-AM 1470 en Tampa). Additional stations throughout Florida on the Buccaneers Radio Network can be found here. The game will also be broadcast on SiriusXM Channel 225 (Buccaneers Radio Network feed). The Westwood One national radio feed can be found on SiriusXM NFL Radio Channel 88.

Weather: It will be cold for Florida standards. Tailgaters getting off work will enjoy sunny skies and light jacket weather in the high 60s. That will drop by kickoff to 59 and will continue to drop throughout the night. By the end of the game, look for the temperature to be 55.

Odds: Per Hard Rock Bet, as of Thursday mid-afternoon, Bucs -5 (-110); over/under 43.5 (-115); Bucs moneyline -260.

Referees: Carl Cheffers and his gang will work tonight’s Dixie Chicks-Bucs game. Cheffers and his outfit have been a home cookin’ kind of outfit over the years. Home teams are 91-57 since 2016 with Carl Cheffers’ posse, per Sharp Football Analysis.

Injuries:

(The NFL, unless otherwise noted, does not include players on injury reports who are not on a team’s active 53-man roster. Players on injured reserve or the practice squad are not on a team’s active 53-man roster.)

Outlook: The Bucs may have one game left for error, one loss. Anything more, and the season could be toast. Losing tonight would be hard to overcome. And winning tonight will be tough. Dixie Chicks quarterback Kirk Cousins is a Todd Bowles’ killer. Even though Cousins was benched last year, he lit up the Bucs for 509 passing yards and four touchdowns in an overtime loss in Atlanta. In two games, Cousins threw for nearly 800 yards and eight touchdowns. That is unacceptable, yet that’s how bad Cousins has lit up Bowles’ defense. And it wasn’t the first time. Given how the awful Bucs pass defense, specifically over the middle, is down inside linebacker SirVocea Dennis, Joe fully expects Cousins to light up the Bucs with medium-range passes over the middle. Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan are expected to be on the field tonight. If Evans is just a decoy, that will certainly help. The Bucs need to ground-and-pound the Dixie Chicks much like the Bucs did to Buffalo earlier this season. Cousins cannot hurt the Bucs as long as he is on the sidelines watching the game.

Fun facts: Do you need to know anything more about Dixie Chicks QB Kirk Cousins other than he regularly lights up a Todd Bowles defense? … RB Bijan Robinson has a six-game streak of at least 85 yards from scrimmage. … TE Kyle Pitts is on a hot streak with at least 80 yards receiving the past two games. … DE James Pearce has a sack in his last five games. … LB Divine Deablo has six tackles including a tackle for loss last week. … CB A.J. Terrell had a team-high 8 tackles with a tackle for loss, a pass defensed and a forced fumble last week. … Bucs QB Baker Mayfield has a touchdown pass in 12 of last 13 games including six in a row at home. … RB Bucky Irving had a team-high 81 scrimmage yards (55 rushing, 26 receiving) and a touchdown in the galling loss to the slimy Saints. … WR Chris Godwin led the Bucs with five catches for 55 yards in Week 14. … NT Vita Vea had 5 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and a sack in the galling loss to the slimy Saints. Vea has at least a half-sack in four of his past five home games. … OLB Chris Braswell had his first sack of the season against New Orleans. … CB Zyon McCollum had his first pick of the season in the galling loss to the slimy Saints. … S Antoine Winfield had five tackles and a pass defensed in Week 14. Winfield has a pass defensed in five of his last six games.

  2. David Says:

    I’ll be there…. bundled up!
Praying the D scheme changes slightly so they can cover the middle of the field and get pressure/SACKS.

Hopefully the Offense is getting healthy enough to start making a difference again

The Bucs, in their classic beautiful uniforms, pull the Ray Perkins special and put a beat down on the Falcons like it’s 1987…

    Bucs win 48-10.

    LET’S GO FALCONS!!!

The only chance at them replacing Bowles is if we miss the playoffs.

If you care about the Bucs winning another Super Bowl, we have to miss the playoffs.

    Isn’t the game on Fox?

  15. OneAndThree Says:

If we win the middle 8, we win the game.

And if not, we lose a coach incapable of preparing a team.

This game just as the Saints game, cannot be lost.

Many coaches have been fired for just these reasons.

Just gotta get better has run it’s course.

  16. SB~LV Says:

Turf is going to look GREAT
But the turf is NOT well rooted and will be coming up in CHUNKS!
I hope nobody is injured as a result.

  17. Oahu Jimothy Says:

I am pulling for the players to win this game! I cant stand it when they lose any games in any season, regardless if its a lost season or not but if we do lose hopefully they’ll be one loss closer to finding a new Defensive Coordinator!

    #noconfidence

Since people are so eager to get the season over with, I went ahead and did a mock-draft! Keep in mind I don’t watch college football so I don’t know a lot of these players, but I’m a natural – PFF gives me an A- – just think what I could with a few hours of research.
