TJ Rives Tells Todd Bowles Haters, “Go Away!”

December 2nd, 2025

You won’t ever catch Joe telling a Bucs fan how to be a fan.

If your goal is Tampa Bay winning a Super Bowl, then Joe is not here to judge how you think it’s best to get there.

There are so many different opinions and approaches. It’s a trait of fandom for every professional team. And clashing fan opinions should be celebrated.

In a quest for a Super Bowl ring, the Buccaneers fired a respected head coach, a future Hall of Fame coach, in his prime. The Bucs also fired a Super Bowl-winning head coach after he went 9-7 in back-to-back seasons, the latter of which featured his legendary defensive coordinator announcing he was bolting the team.

Given that history, it’s absolutely logical that some Bucs fans think firing Todd Bowles would be a positive step toward winning a championship.

Joe’s not agreeing with that minority faction of fans today. But essentially, those fans have been conditioned to think that way after Team Glazer fired Tony Dungy (2002) and Jon Gruden (2009).

The Bucs won a Super Bowl immediately after firing Dungy and the Bucs were a 10-win team with a completely overhauled young roster two seasons after firing Gruden.

As Bucs fans who listen to sports radio or dive into the cesspool that is social media know, Bowles isn’t very popular among fans, despite his winning record with Tampa Bay. Those who read fan comments here or follow Joe’s weekly Todd Bowles confidence poll know that as well.

Joe believes the common core among these fans is a belief that Bowles doesn’t have the chops to lead a team to a championship. So that leads some to froth and demand the Bucs move on ASAP so they can try to find a Super Bowl-caliber coach.

Agree or disagree, these passionate fans’ opinions come with the territory and they’re hardly on the level of Sasquatch sightings.

However, longtime Buccaneers employee TJ Rives has a different take.

For decades, Rives has been part of the Buccaneers Radio Network broadcasts as a sideline guy and a host. He’s also hosts an in-season podcast on the team website.

On Sunday, Rives joined Peter Blake of The Sports Web on the field of The Licht House for a postgame chat after the Bucs beat the Cardinals.

It was there that Rives told the Bowles haters to get out of town.

“If you are a Bucs fan and you are rooting for your team to lose, if you are rooting to get the coach fired while you’re 7-5 with everything in front of you with all of these home games, go away. Go away!” Rives urged. “I will hold the door. Leave. The rest of us want to enjoy meaningful football in December and the chance to be in the playoffs. If you want to talk about next year now, go away. There’s opportunity here to be in the playoffs and do damage.”

Joe wonders what would have happened if Rives had barked this from the patio or the bar one mile north of the stadium at Hooters on Hillsborough Avenue. Joe suspects Rives would have gotten some loud blowback and perhaps a few delicious Buffalo shrimp tossed at his head.

Fans are fans. It’s ok to love the coach. It’s ok like him. It’s ok to hate the coach and want him run out of town, or to be lukewarm on the guy.

Nobody needs to “go away.”

    True that.

yea yea yea. join ronde with the tell me how to think club and GFY.

  3. johnnythemoon Says:

I agree ..Go Away with Bowles Derangement Syndrome…If you lived thru 0-26 and 11 straight 10 loss seasons from 1983-1994 ..Than I will give you a a pass .. But at 56years old I will always take getting in the playoffs and having a chance over I am more deranged about the coach getting fired ..Loose mentality for those usually under 40 yrs old.

  4. RVATom Says:

Man, you guys HATE Bucs employees. How many times did you mention Jackie last year? Now the new clock/strat guy and now TJ Rives? Sheesh, you guys get spurned for a Bucs job and have an axe to grind? Why make things up? What axe? Newsflash, Joe covers the Bucs, aka Bucs employees. Yes, Joe will write and talk about those in the public eye. Jackie Davidson did a national TV interview last year. Joe has talked about the clock/game-management position, not the person. Rives WANTED everyone to hear this. Don’t blame Joe for sharing. And no, Joe has never applied for a job with the Buccaneers?–Joe
Thanks for the heads up about TJ. Who cares? Everyone has an opinion. I don’t care for Bowles the (sorta)DC. But as a HC…I don’t know I can argue yet. We will see where we end up at the end of the season I guess.

  5. Bucnjim Says:

There is a big difference between Gruden’s roster, Arians’ roster & even Dungy’s roster compared to Bowles. Just losing Gronk, Brady & the crazy Antonio Brown, not to mention a ton of star defensive power. The Bucs @ 7-5 are about where this team should be. Very few superstars on this team! They are a grind it out bunch that can win or lose most weeks.

  6. Tucker Says:

Fans(fanatics) are who they are cheer and boo at what truth they see but all bucs fans are bucs fans just the same and are welcome settle down guy.

  7. Aqualung Says:

    1. This must be Pom Pom Joe.

    2. I don’t hate Bowles at all. He’s demonstrated to care about his players, his affection for Tom Moore was super classy. He’s known s a player relations guru. It would be awesome to crack a few beers with him. I genuinely like what I know of Todd Bowles, the human.

    3. TJ is a Bucs employee. What does anyone expect him to say, “Fire Todd?”

    4. I don’t see anyone cheering for the Bucs to lose. Expecting them to lose? Yes, of course. How could you not expect them to lose, especially after the Rams embarrassment in which nobody showed up for their 3rd loss in a row, and then the Vomitous showing against the Cadinals.

    5. The man is one game over .500 in his tenure with the Bucs and the alleged defensive mastermind consistently fields one of the worst pass defenses ever. He is 1-3 in the playoffs, including an embarrassing no show against the reeling Cowboys at home in Tom Brady’s last game and an embarrassing loss to a rookie QB where Todd didn’t force. One. Punt. That’s zero punts forced for the math challenged.

    6. If the Bucs win out and compete for the NFC Championship, Todd will deserve flowers and the extension he got handed.

    7. Missing the playoffs, or sliding in through the back door and getting Rams-beaten one and done……well Glazers fired Gruden a year after giving him an extension so no one should blame the owners if that’s what happens.

  8. johnnythemoon Says:

No one is telling anyone how to think but the obsession of being able to go I am right about Bowles is over winning games is for losers

  9. johnnythemoon Says:

I see no Blame for Licht ..Do you think Bowels has studs at DE or at LB ? He has to do exotic stuff to get pressure..

  10. Bucnjim Says:

I do enjoy having a chance to make the playoffs year in and year out though. Compared to the early years where we were out of it literally in October.

  11. Deeboooo Says:

💯 People that think teams should tank for picks or to fire their head coach are losers.

You guys really think this team would hire an A1 coach? Get real you don’t know what you’re talking about. We fire Bowles, get ready for a 5 year rebuild and losing seasons

  12. DS Says:

People forget how bad the lost decade was… I have ptsd thinking about it. Is Bowles perfect no do I agree with his Defense no would I take him over Raheem, Schiano, Koetter yes !!! Would I take him over dungy perhaps. Dungy had 4 HOF players and possibly 5 and couldn’t get over the hump ijs

  13. Rod Munch Says:

You can tell who the idiots are that only became Bucs fans when Brady got here, they think if you don’t win a SB every year, you fire everyone and start over, then keep doing that every single season. Very low IQ individuals, not Bucs fans, just loser bandwagon riders.

With that said, Bowles makes tons of stupid mistakes and bad moves in games. He certainly seems in over his head as head coach, which is a shame since I think he excels when he’s solely a DC and only has that to concern himself with.

At the same time, anyone who isn’t a moron could look at the schedule the day it came out and know the Bucs would be 7-5 right now. The same idiots complaining the loudest now, are the same morons who were celebrating winning the week 6 ESPN Power Poll as if it meant anything, and chanting MVP in week 6. As I said, very low IQ individuals with zero football knowledge, in fact they’re the same dopes who were yelling for Dean to be cut in the preseason, because, as always, they have no idea what they’re watching.

  14. NYbucsfan Says:

TJ doesn’t know s*** about football have you ever listened to him?

  15. Upstate NY BUC Says:

Agree, Licht needs to be questioned!!! I’m still on board!!! flying down for the Atlanta game!!! Go Bucs!!

  16. Rod Munch Says:

On a different note, did you see Tomlin repeating a line I’ve said for years…

After being asked about fans booing the Steelers he said they should be booing, that football is the entertainment business, and the fans are not entertained right now. Amazing how when I’ve pointed out this is the entertainment business, literally for years, I’d get blowback from people who act like this is life and death, and beyond mere sport. It’s not.

BTW, that’s also where Bowles fails – he’s a dullard in front of the camera, which is a shame since everything I read about him says he’s nothing like that behind the scenes. If he showed a little personality, he’d get over better with the public. Many fans out there, mostly men who act like women, demand their coach to be emotional and jump up and down and yell and scream because that’s all they can relate to since they, themselves, can not control their emotions.

In any case, if you win, people are entertained – well most people are.

  17. SlyPirate Says:

    DEFINITION OF INSANITY:
Do the same thing and expect different results.

Supporting Bowles has become somewhat insane. Every year: Fast start, failed midseason, huge loss in primetime, scramble to the finish, lose early in the playoffs.

Bowles has done okay but he’s gone as far as he can go. It’s time.

  18. Tampabaybucfan Says:

TBBF has watched every game beginning with the Rams preseason game in 1976……
TBBF has never ever rooted for the Bucs to lose…..for any reason…..not tanking for a draft pick, not to get rid of a coach.

You can root the way you want to but rooting to lose isn’t in my DNA.

  19. Buc1987 Says:

Bowles will be fired after the Bucs miss the playoffs this season.

    Take Rives with him….

  20. buccintimeforchanges Says:

    Clean house…TJ too!!!!!

  21. Erik with Pilot and Driver™ Says:

Defensive HC’s don’t win Superbowls in the modern NFL.

  22. Buddha Says:

This is a site for opinions. That is all it is–opinions. Opinions are not facts; at best they are beliefs. There are many things that affect beliefs. Many fans were crushed when the Buccaneers gave up on Winston. Many were horrified when Baker was signed. The majority of fans on this site want the Buccaneers to win–indeed some want and expect the Buccaneers to win every game. Joe, at least one of the Joes believed the Buccaneers were a 12 win team. This was based largely on the roster and the belief that the offensive line was top 5 and the receiving core was top 5 or 6 too. Neither proved to be the case. The injuries mounted but a fast start and early wins against Seattle and Texas extended the optimism. But those wins were last minute “miracles” produced by a red hot Quarterback playing over his head. Both of those could have been losses. But games against New England (the hottest team in the NFL) and Philadelphia (the luckiest team in the league) could have been wins. So it goes. The vast, vast majority of NFL games are decided in the last 10 minutes of the game. Could we have won all of these games with better coaching? That’s a fantasy. What new coach do you have in mind? The Bears and New England and Jacksonville all will be in the playoffs this year. But does anyone believe any of these teams will be in the Super Bowl. Look at the odds. Las Vegas doesn’t believe it. The Bear and New England have played cupcake schedules and their stats rank them below the Buccaneers. Four weeks ago Houston’s coach was on the hotseat; now he is a contender for Coach of the Year. This is the NFL. This is the age of AI and affordability. People are angry. They can’t afford rent, groceries, or electricity. So they take it out on free public access sites like these. So be it. Let’s not take it all so seriously. Is Bowles a decent coach or good coach? It depends. He certainly looked good in the playoffs against Green Bay and KC and and New Orleans. Has he lost to teams he was supposed to beat. Yes, last year he should have beaten Atlanta. This year? Maybe he should have beaten New England even with all the injuries. But that is about it. You decide. But don’t take the “group think” on this site so seriously. Most of the criticism I’m reading here is a personalty thing. That’s hilarious. I grew up in Pittsburgh during the years Chuck Noll was coach. He lost 15 of his first 16 games as coach. Now he’s in the Hall of Fame. Noll never smiled; never changed his expression. The Dallas Cowboys coach, Tom Landry, was the same way.

  23. buc4evr Says:

TJ drinks the KoolAid because he knows who butters his bread . I never took him seriously in the past and do not now. I have been a Bucs fan since the beginning and always want the Bucs to win. Think everyone on this site feels the same way. However, Bowles does not learn from his mistakes and will never get the team to the SB. It’s debatable who is responsible for the state of the defense. But the blame probably lies with both Bowles and Licht.

If this team goes one and done again, Bowles needs to go and possibly Licht.

  24. Rob5 Says:

I dont have a problem with criticizing the Bucs or
Bowels but the personal attacks and calling him names are BS. and none of you arm chair GMs and
Head Coaches would have the BALLS to say it to their faces…

  25. OneAndThree Says:

Aqualung is on point as usual. Bravo good sir.

There are more than capable NFL championship caliber coaches out there to be had.

Mike McCarthy would be my first choice. He’s actually won a SB as a HC.

He could bring in a hungry defensive coordinator to run a modern defensive scheme.

Cut the zero and bring in a hero. Fire Bowles Now!!!

  26. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Look, I understand folks being turned off by Bowles’ soft-spoken personality and seemingly mundane style of coaching……and they see a coach with fire like Dan Campbell and want that.
I am as unhappy with Bowles as anyone….but as long as he is coach of my Bucs…..I root for him to win every game he coaches. If he loses, he will be gone like all the others.

  27. Bucsarg Says:

I’m a Todd supporter. The team play since the week off indicates something is ” bad wrong”. It’s Todd’s job to figure it out and fix it. I believe he will. He needs to put the right guys in the right places to achieve foundational stability. Tom Moore is 87. Todd needs some, at least a couple of younger foundation guys. It’s his call but I think the right DC provides a nice foundation peice and frees him up to do more head coaching. It’s a lot to be the HC and the DC. Todd been juggling lots of turbulence since day one. One man can only do so much. Forget about the losses, the team has just looked different.

  28. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“If you are a Bucs fan and you are rooting for your team to lose, if you are rooting to get the coach fired while you’re 7-5 with everything in front of you with all of these home games, go away. Go away!”

This made me chuckle because it’s true. You can tell by some takes how familiar the source of the take is with the way football-whether it be coaching or playing- works.

This year has been a roller coaster ride just like this teams performance the last few years. We win it’s “in spite of” and when we lose it’s “all because of” and anybody who’s lived enough life no almost NOTHING works that way. Believe or say what you want, but don’t get upset or pissy when some of us fellow fans push back.

What I’m reminded of, is to anybody who’s seen the “be a fan, NOT a fanatic” placard that used to be on sidelines at youth sporting events. That was shot across the bow for the unruly parents/fans to be cool, and don’t cross that very clear line. Nothing wrong with being passionate, but with all the pissing and moaning over a 7-5 team again, don’t be mad when some of us tell you to stfu lol

  29. SC Bucs fan Says:

Keep him as head coach but get a defensive coordinator. And please please a new special teams coach.

  30. Nybucsfan Says:

Todd Bowles is 35-32 as the Bucs head coach. That’s against arguably the worst division in football history over the last three years. How is this good enough or OK. It drives me nuts that people continue to ignore that he’s been gifted and easy schedule year after year and is still just average. Anyone that thinks he’s a good coach is either in denial or has no football IQ. Prove me wrong.

  31. Doughboy Says:

You guys are Carolina dreaming lol. After New Orleans Bucs better pray hard before games cause Carolina has a defense. Look what they’ve actually have done. Not hope to have done.

  32. ModHairKen Says:

Buddha, if you hit the “return” button every once in a while while typing, my eyes would thank you.

  33. Atrain Says:

    What Has Bowles done?
    PLEASE TELL US!!

He went below 500 first year with the GOAT AT QB LOST in playoffs
    Less than impressive total record
    Playoff record Sucks

Defensive Guru? Defense is middle to low on all stats each year

THIS YEAR defense looks worse than in beginning

WHAT HAS THIS MAN SHOWN THAT MAKES ANYONE BELIEVE HE CAN WIN

  34. OneAndThree Says:

Bowles = No SB titles while he’s the HC.

  35. C-spann4 Says:

My problem with Bowles is he is supposed to be a “defensive guru” but what we see on the field that adjective does not hold up. The Bucs D has been like this since he’s been over it. At this point somethings got to give! It is either his defense or the players or both! He always seems to also get out coached by good coaches (McVay, Vrabel, McDermott) and we always seem to have a mid season slump every year!

  36. Oscar Says:

Rod Munch very measured and reasonable take on expectations and where things stand. I do believe we could have been a bit better if we had a few less injuries to certain players. Maybe 8-4 or 9-3. But still not a powerhouse type of team. More like the Vikings last season that won 13 games but were not a real threat to win it all.

  37. johnnythemoon Says:

A coaches job is to get the team in position to Win .Coaches do not drop TD’S in the endzone . Coaches do not shoulder tackle or miss tackles. They do not fumble or throw INTS ..If you loose a game by 10pts or less you can can usually look back and see 3-4 plays not executed that would of won the game. The days of a team winning 6-10games by 14pts are over ..Look at KC last year . Brady left and we have went 26-20 not great but with all the deadcap money it is pretty good.

  38. Ballwasher61 Says:

For what it’s worth as the 31st post here it’s a combination of things. There’s who we draft and where we can draft. I think it’s been BPA and they have been solid, just all on offense not defense. To draft huge upside talent you have to lose in the season to do that. Anyone for that? Didn’t think so. FA’s are another point though. I think, being the armchair GM I am, that MAYBE a few have been missed but again I’m only privy to so much intel which = nothing. As is the 99.9% rest of us. Todd has done a great job with what he has so far, if all of us knew the nuts and bolts that went into creating, executing and building a team our tune would probably be different. There is no doubt that Bowles is a terrific coach and I would rather have him than maybe a handful, if that, others as a head coach. He needs help, especially on the defense. As the offense gets their guys back let’s see where this goes this year. If we get to the Championship game an lose will we be sore? Yes. Would you trade that year after year for a top 10 draft spot? Me either.

  39. Stpetematt Says:

Darn Bowles makes Jason Licht pick late every round of the draft every year.

No wonder he can’t draft a great pass rusher! Arians did it too! Come to think of it, Licht very rarely picks early. Know why?

    Winning football.

We could be the Cardinals. Or the Browns. Some people are never satisfied until they put their team in a decades-long spiral rudderless and lost.

  40. ElioT Says:

    TJ is such a homer it’s cringe-worthy.

Some of us fans are just not happy with this team being barely above average year after year and do not think Bowles is the guy to bring them over the hump.

As Lovie Smith would say, “It’s as simple as that”

    Go Bucs!

  41. TheScourge Says:

As one of the advocates for change I can proudly say, no one is rooting for the Buccaneers to lose. I sat through that miserable playoff game last year despite wanting a change. I really can’t understand how being a Bucs fan and having little faith in the coach and GM is mutually exclusive. If this leadership gets to the playoffs I can also see how it’s unfair to fire them but that doesn’t mean I believe they will ever win a Super Bowl. I like talking about last year, this year and next year! I was here before TJ Rives and I’ll be here after so he can shut the hell up.

  42. BA’s Red Pen Says:

Not liking the coach is fine but if you call yourself a Bucs fan and you want the team to lose, you’re an idiot and you can go be a Dolphins fan. That being said, TJ Reeves and the Bucs in house media are employees of the team and are paid to fluff the Bucs. So forgive me if I don’t give a spit about TJ’s thoughts about what I should think about the team.

  43. Allen Lofton Says:

The question is, is Todd Bowles and good coach and I believe he is. Is he a coach that can lead the Bucs to a Super Bowl 🏆 win?

If most of the starters return in December and the offense can score 30 or more points a game, than the Bucs have a legit chance.

We are about to see if this scenario holds true in the coming weeks. Let the season playl
out and decide on a more reasoned assessment. Right now the Bowles haters have no basis for wanting Bowles fired. So enjoy the Bucs and the holidays.

  44. jimmy Says:

Where are the posts with “fans” who “want the bucs to lose”? seems like this is a team sponsored post to try to get some support for the HC who continually sticks his foot in his mouth

the tom moore one is a new. i guess they got the message that “communication” “fundamentals” “zyon is bored” and whatever stupid sh!t larry foote says werent being received too well so they trot out “TJ” to cry a bit. like ronde last time.

“lay off coach bowles he’s our man. if he cant make up new excuses you’ve never heard before nobody can. Yay Bucs!!! Yay Coach/DC Bowles!!!”

  45. Ricki Says:

I dont want the Bucs to lose but sure as hell want that incompetent head coach fired. if could win he had plenty of opportunities here to do so but he failed. lets see if Coen will hire him as DC

  46. UGotRobbed Says:

Never pulled for the Bucs to lose! I just don’t want to be a .550 team…and I think that’s what you’re going to get with TB as coach. In my opinion.

  47. SoCalBucsFan79 Says:

Many fans maybe wrong about the Glazer family’s priorities. When Dungy and Gruden were dismissed that was under the late Malcolm Glazer (true he had a major stroke in 2006, but Ed, Bryan and Joel would still needed his blessing to jettison Gruden), so past may not be prologue as Ed, Joel and Bryan aren’t their father and maybe not so easily moved by keeping the fans happy. Sure they have dabbled with the EPL with being the majority owners of Man U, but maybe as much as winning feels good, making money off the media rights of their sports properties is much more enjoyable. Somehow I feel they are more students of the Donald… (not the “author” of the Art of the Deal) Sterling philosophy of team ownership: “maximizing profits with minimal investment, treating the team as a real estate asset rather than a competitive sports franchise.” Spending enough to keep the franchise valuable seems to be more important than spending too much to keep the team perpetually competitive while decreasing the margins they make by overspending in the chase.

I think 2021 was a inflection point, where the Glazer ownership tried to spend beyond what they planned on personnel, because winning another ring in the shrinking championship window may have given the franchise another boost in Forbe’s valuation table, but that was more of a pipe dream and was abandoned after a lot of dead cap space was generated (paid in void contract years) to keep the band together one last time. Only the team didn’t go into the tank and kept winning enough to make the playoffs the next three years under Todd Bowles.

The Glazer boys probably learned the same lesson with Manchester United, with the franchise’s constant need to chase top talent just to keep up with Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal may not be the best play to stay profitable and minimize the debt they inherited with the purchase. When Malcolm Glazer passed away in 2014 look who his sons hired as head coaches: Lovie Smith, Dirk Koetter, Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles weren’t necessarily the hottest coaching prospects commanding top dollar, but the ones that created some buzz without breaking the bank. (Remember there was a time Chip Kelly was on the “radar,” but we ended up with Greg Schiano) They lucked out with Bowles who prefers to wear two hats and went on the cheap with all the OCs they have hired since Jon Gruden’s tenure: Bill Muir (“coordinator” in name only), a green Greg Olson, Mike Sullivan, Jeff Tedford, Dirk Koetter, Todd Monken (before his success in Baltimore), Byron Leftwich, an unheralded Dave Canales, similar with Liam Coen, and the current Josh Grizzard. Winning isn’t everything to the Glazer brothers, as they just need enough of it to keep the franchise value up.

What would have happened if Arians supported Leftwich as his successor, where would we be today? Toiling with the Jets, Titans, Raiders, Browns for the top pick of the draft instead of being the post-season conversation? What if Licht and Bowles favored QB coach Thad Lewis instead of Grizzard to succeed Coen as OC? I don’t think that conversation has seen a lot of light. I think we are fortunate to have what we have as far as team performance. Sure it could be better, but it could have easily been so much worse. It may be sacrilege for some FSU honks, but I preferred Marcus Mariota (35-45 regular season, 1-1 playoffs) over Jameis Winston (35-51 regular season, 0-0 playoffs) during the 2015 NFL draft. I guess neither made the difference their draft positioning would have suggested.

  48. Jugheadfla2 Says:

Why does this feel like rage bait?

  49. Woodman Says:

    STFU Ironlung!

  50. BucFan4Life Says:

Coaches who win at the highest level demand greatness from players and thereby gain respect from all. Coaches who appeal to their players to raise their standards ultimately dissapoint.

TJ has his formed opinion based on other unknown factors. I have seen, heard, and read nough to draw a different conclusion on the coach, even while cheering for the team to win.

  51. BelleGladeBuc Says:

Nothing against TJ Reeves, but Todd Bowles is not a Super Bowl caliber Head Coach.

I will never root against my Bucs, as I have rooted for them ever since I was a little boy, but being realistic and not delusional is important.

Todd Bowles ceiling is what you have watched these past seasons.

Todd Bowles is his record which is a head coach who can’t deliver in the playoffs and wins a division that is incredibly weak.

Tony Dungy was a much more successful coach with the Bucs and a vastly superior coach than Todd Bowles, and he got fired.

Not for long applies to coaches too.

    It’s a Bucs life.

  52. SoCalBucsFan79 Says:

You know what’s funny when you take the long arch of history into account, despite Todd Bowles being 34-29 (0.540) in the regular season he still ranks 3rd best winning percentage of Buccaneer HCs all-time (Only Arians and Dungy did better) and those 34 regular season wins puts him with the 4th most wins (trailing Gruden, Dungy, McKay) in franchise history. In context the franchise has lost 462 games for a league low 0.412 winning percentage. Just for kicks the NFC South has the 6th worst combined winning % (0.408)in 2025 whereas the NFC East (0.359) and the AFC North (0.396) have been weaker, except no one is criticizing the Eagles, Cowboys, Ravens and Steelers for having cupcake divisions.

  53. Curse of Gruden Says:

TJ’s a shill for the company. His comments are exactly what one should expect.

  54. Pelsbuc61 Says:

Aqualung Says is spot on. Bowles is a great guy buy sorry DC and HC. Licht bears a lot of the blame also for his horrible draft picks. I don’t hope the Bucs lose but I expect then to lose especially with this lazy, lifeless, clueless defense. To somehow get into the playoffs bc the division sucks and get embarrassed at home again is not the solution that should keep Bowles as HC.

  55. LakelandSteve Says:

T.J. Rives is employed by the Bucs so of course he is going to have Bowles back. I respect that. The problem is not the fact the Bucs can’t cover anyone, can’t tackle very well or don’t seem to be flying around. It’s just we have seen the same song and dance now from Bowles for years. He has made some very questionable decisions in the past and this year. He now is on this kick of going for two when it is way to early in the game to do so. The biggest thing is the defense takes on his laid back personality. You cant play laid back and be an effective defense. You have to have a sense of urgency which the Bucs don’t seem to have.

  56. SC Bucs fan Says:

LakelandSteve the only ones with urgency are McCollum and Dennis. Urgent to catch the guy who just ran by them

There is a difference between wanting the Bucs to lose and wanting the Bucs to play better. TJ should understand that but doesn’t seem to.

  57. buccintimeforchanges Says:

    LEAVE COACH ALONE!!!!!

    WAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

  58. Matt Cowan Says:

SoCalBucsFan79: those are solid points, sometimes looking at the big picture helps. It is quite frustrating to see under achieving with maybe.. top 5 bucs teams talent wise?

  59. Pewter Power Says:

Yes let’s be silent because People love .500 around here so let them enjoy it.

  60. SenileSenior Says:

I was not here from the beginning. I came along about 1989. I consider myself a passionate Buccaneer fan. I realize Jason Licht has not been perfect but I think he has become excellent as a GM. I believe Todd Bowles is a very good but not a great head coach. I believe he is an excellent defensive coordinator as well. My football knowledge is not extremely deep. I just know what I have learned as a fan. That is enough for me.

I do not want Licht or Bowles fired. If I should be found to be in the minority opinions here, so be it.

    Go Bucs!!

  61. Warrenfb12 Says:

    Bucs employee with clear bias.

  62. MelvinJunior Says:

The total ‘weakness’ of playing games with Cohen last off-season, by trying to have your cake and eat it, too… Then, so pathetically, freaking TF OUT over it and trying to get him back before eventually LOOSING HIM for good… Yeah, that was final nail in the coffin with this bunch. It should’ve been an easy decision. It was SO obvious to everyone with eyes that could SEE. It was a total no-BRAINER move for the future of the team AND your franchise QB. For a smart bold FO. Hmmmm… Let’s seeee… A 61-year old, middle-of-the-road, old-school, defensive-minded, Head Coach, who STILL struggles making even the simplest ‘in-game’ decisions (I mean there are some REAL inexplicable ‘head-scratchers’ EVERY YEAR)… Orrrrr, a young up and coming modern-day, ‘offensive’ genius PLAY-CALLER, who is only 39-YEARS OLD, and had his OFFENSE in the TOP-5 in EVERY major offensive statistical category (Points Per Game, Total-Yards, Passing-Yards, for once EVEN RUSHING-Yards, RedZone TD%, and on & on), & the players LOVED HIM. But, ohhhh nooo… WE GOT TODD. LoL GTFO. WEAK AF.

  63. Inwoodjeremy Says:

He knows exactly what the team needs because he says it. Coaches got to coach better, players got to play better. = Need better coaches, need better players. The ceiling is here, if you want to raise it bring the staff and roster in. What we have is what it is. Could be worse, could be better. Something that makes it interesting as well he was inherited. Does B.A. advisory role change without T.B.? Is it a package deal?

  64. Lefty Says:

It’s a week-to-week league, and really since the bye week the Bucs have looked like dog dirt week to week. Hoping the best is yet to come, but unfortunately hope doesn’t do a helluva lot of good in sports. With that said, people singing the praises of CAR (after an impressive win vs. LAR) tend to forget get the crap show they put out there just 6 days prior to that on MNF vs. SF.

    Nobody friggin knows what’s next…

  65. Obvious Says:

I’m rooting for Bowles even tho I believe he’s not capable of getting us there.

  66. MtBucsFan Says:

My problem with Bowles is how porous this defense has been every year for being a guru. I really feel like it’s Dungy 2.0. I will never root to lose! Even if thats what it takes to get a change at HC. With that said I would be pissed if the Super Bowl this year is Panthers Jags. Call it the what Tampa could of had bowl. Both teams are hot with less talent. I still think we win the division but a team that beat the Rams could easily beat the Bucs…..

  67. Mike Johnson Says:

Notice Rives said, Do some Damage. He said nothing about us winning a SB this year. Why? Because he knows we are not. Not with this Defense.

  68. Pops Malone Says:

I am frustrated with the coach but I can’t root against him. I hope he takes us on a nice run but I feel like the movie ends the same every year. Hopefully, it’s different this year…

  69. Drdneast Says:

TJ is the proverbial Bucs ass kisser. It’s okay he’s on the Bucs payroll so he should be. In other words you should expect nothing else from him than the party line. At the same time I have been a fan for over 40 years and I can dislike the coach like right now and still love my Bucs. TJ ought to grow up.

  70. Joe Says:

. When Dungy and Gruden were dismissed that was under the late Malcolm Glazer (true he had a major stroke in 2006, but Ed, Bryan and Joel would still needed his blessing to jettison Gruden),

Joel and Bryan were very active in the coaching change. In fact it was Joel who was responsible for bringing Chucky on board. And it was Joel and Bryan who decided to move on from Chucky.

Don’t know and don’t care about the British kickball team.

  71. Drdneast Says:

Well said Lefty and don’t forget the Panthers also lost to the slimy Saints.Week to week.

  72. JohnQCitizen Says:

Damn, Rod. You sure have a lot to say. Kinda boring after a while.

  73. Stuck with Green Says:

I don’t hate Bowles. Seems like a really cool dude. I just think he’s a bad Head Coach and a mediocre DC.

  74. David Says:

The players love Bowles, so I have no problem with him. I have a problem with him as the DC. It is looking more and more like his defense is becoming less and less effective against good teams and good quarterbacks.
The last Super Bowl run, there was a lot of blitzing, but they were able to get pressure with four when needed.
That is the major problem. He keeps insisting it’s not necessary.

  75. SB~LV Says:

    Where is my post
    and why?
    ?????????

  76. MelvinJunior Says:

But, here’s the other thing that has been forgotten about (I haven’t read any of the comments yet, so I apologize if others have already mentioned this)… There was ONE-MORE HC, Joe. They did the exact same thing to Bruce (BA). Cause, you know as well as I do that HE was NOT ready to step-down yet, and retire. HE was forced out 💯, because they wanted to give the job to Todd (prob had already promised it to him). He never wanted to step aside, or had ever planned on doing so. He was FULLY intent on coming back for at least another season. He was pretty PISSED over it at first. But, he had no other choice. And, that is why (and I’m sure it’s what the FO had told him AND sold him on) HE went out in public afterwards, and saying all that BS about “HIM” wanting to set-up a “Black Man” with an already well-established situation, with a strong roster, & etc. Since, they rarely ever get such an opportunity, for always having to takeover crap teams in horrible situations, & etc. (when the actual ‘reality’ is MOST ALL new HC’s are put in the exact same situations, due to the logical FACT that the previous HC never would’ve been FIRED in the first-place, had it been a “great” situation to start). Anyway, BA did NOT leave on HIS OWN. They TOLD HIM. So, he could either throw a FIT and LOSE… Orrrr, go out there and save face by selling the “Black Man.” 💯

  77. Joe Says:

Cause, you know as well as I do that HE was NOT ready to step-down yet, and retire. HE was forced out

Arians was not forced out. If he wanted to still coach he’d get a job tomorrow. When Arians came here he had a package deal with the Bucs: He would only sign if the Bucs promised Bowles would succeed him (which was a sticking point for ownership).

Why on earth would the Glazer family run off Arians (he is still on the Bucs’ payroll) after he had the best two-year run in Bucs’ history and was hugely popular with the players?

  78. Obvious One Says:

O.. is it already time for the Polly parade? I see Bowles family members are already here.

You do realize we’re not going to the Super Bowl via Bowles. Right… He’s had many years now to accomplish that. He can’t do it and now the team is regressing

  79. #1bucsfan Says:

JOE I have to disagree to a degree. I get what you’re saying but man all the whining and bellyaching these fans do is ridiculous. Yes I’m upset we loay winnable games and played so embarrassing on national tv that I didn’t want to wear my Bucs gear the next day but I did lol bit to want to fire the coach come on and just keep crying about it isn’t doing anything and also I’ve watched the the lost decade. It’s bin pure entertainment with the Bucs and that’s what football is.

  80. Aqualung Says:

It’s time to lure BA back into an active role (covertly of course) to save his failing and flailing protege from the abyss.

  81. Bucs Reality Check Says:

    SERIOUS QUESTION…

Name 5 signature wins the Bucs have had due to Bowles coaching? Where he clearly out-coached the other team.

    Go ahead we’ll wait.

  82. Saskbucs Says:

Well TJ is kinda right… what kind of fan is hoping we lose games? I know a couple people here are talking about trading in a SB win for Todd’s head or losing both to Carolina for Todd’s head but that’s crazy talk and certainly must be a small minority.

I think the Bucs need a new HC or at the very least, a new DC but I certainly don’t want losses to stack up or to miss the playoffs in order to get it.

Proof is in the pudding though. How can we have a defensive HC and this bad of a D! People blamed injuries last year, no such excuse for his D this year. He’s good at culture… that’s about it. Bowles will need a miracle to get this team to a SB. People laughed about Vrabel … well 4 wins to 11+ happened pretty fast.

0 blitz vs Rams, taking the ball away from Tom Brady!, mid season collapses, washed QBs and back ups and rookies all setting records vs his D, an unwillingness to really change scheme or strategy when it’s clearly needed… the evidence has piled up for years now that he isn’t the guy to stack quality wins in the playoffs. Why do we want that leading a playoff roster?

As usual, I hope I am wrong and Bowles delivers a great playoff run, in which case he will have earned another opportunity. I’m not banking on it at all, but I am cheering for my Bucs!

  83. Aqualung Says:

Bucs Reality Check. Good question. And in fairness I can think of one. Nevermind the Swiss cheese preceding it, the blitz of Antoine he called against Darnold in the Seahawks game resulted in the errant pass, Logan’s helmet, and LVD intercepting the deflection. Yes lots of luck involved with that one but…. Blind pig, acorn.

Otherwise, there was…. Um…. Oh yeah! The Rams playoff cover zero blitz after Brady led us back from the dead to tie the game. He had Cooper Kupp blanketed and…..oh. Wait.

  84. JD Says:

I wish we could find and playback Dungy, Chucky haters. Lots of rage for no reason. We been to the playoffs won 6 games in last decade better than other 25 teams and we are still complaining.

I went through 1983 to 1996 without a winning season – I dont care if it is the #BEWITCHED the reason we are winning and going to playoffs. Just enjoy it.

  85. SBucs Says:

Todd frustrates Buc fans to no end. He’s supposed to be a defensive guru but his defense regress with each game. Todd uses well worn excuses that rub fans the wrong way. No one believes he can fix the defense so we expect a quick playoff exit if the Bucs make the playoffs. Fans are the backbone of the NFL, so listening to our grips is part of the job.

  86. Aqualung Says:

Lots of battered wife syndrome here. Jim Collin’s wrote a great book. “Good to Great.” Strive for excellence with no excuses, no exceptions. “Good” is the enemy of “Great.”

These Bowles Bucs are barely good.

When the Glazers fired Dungy and hired Gruden, they dared to be great. What Jason got BA, ditched Jameis and grabbed Brady, they dared to be great.

Nothing, nada, zero zilcho about Bowles teams ever even hint of great.

    Jason and the Glazernauts know.

Other teams with inferior personnel have better records. Patriots. Jaguars. Bears!

It’s the head coach, his iron will to instill excellence with no substitutes.

Todd coaches a team of Loafaneers.

  87. Joe in Michigan Says:

If this Rives character was hired by the Bucs to be a male cheerleader, why is he worried about what us fans think and not trying to fire up a mostly lethargic Bucs defense? I don’t root for the Bucs to lose, but if their effort doesn’t improve wins might be hard to come by, even against teams they’re “supposed” to beat.

  88. Stpetematt Says:

The reality is we are VERY lucky right now and most don’t even see it.

  89. Aqualung Says:

Stpetematt – for once you are right.

We are very lucky to be 7-5.

We could very easily be 3-9.

Those hormone injections might be working, eg?

  90. Tye Says:

‘firing Todd Bowles would be a positive step toward winning a championship.’
Never going to win one with him as HC!

‘Bowles doesn’t have the chops to lead a team to a championship.’
Can’t even contend well in a playoff game!

  91. Tye Says:

‘There’s opportunity here to be in the playoffs and do damage.’
history tells us, that is a JOKE!

  92. MelvinJunior Says:

That’s not what I’m saying, Joe. I know the plan was to give Todd the job. And, I know he could’ve coached somewhere, if he’d really wanted to. I’m talking about the ‘timing’ of it all. He obviously, was NOT happy about the timing, and was not ready to pass-it over right exactly then. They totally pushed him out before he was ready. Now, he ended up having no other choice but to accept that, eventually. I think he said “satisfied with it,” or something like that. But, in the very beginning, he did NOT appear to be so ‘glowingly’ about it. I read several reports on it and THEN he came-out with his little spill that it was ALL HIS decision. I don’t believe that’s They definitely, had to give him a nudge 💯 and prob a lot of it had to do with Brady (because they were not getting along by then, and Brady started to sour towards BA). I do NOT believe that he was prepared to step aside originally, when he did. Until, things began to happen… He wasn’t happy about it. The timing was all jacked-up and didn’t seem right. I mean, IF he what TRULY planned that all along, then don’t you THINK he would’ve gone ahead and ‘done-it’ right after the season had ended… Versus waiting a few months!? Seriously, it just kinda came out of nowhere, and surprised A LOT of people. Some thought he was sick. Everything about it at the time, just seemed OFF!?

  93. Aqualung Says:

Melvin, you have hard evidence that’s better than Joe? Really?

Looking forward to your complete expose’ proving the whole conspiracy.

  94. MelvinJunior Says:

And, I like BA. I really appreciate everything he did in bringing us another Super Bowl, & etc. Hell, I won’t even miss a single episode of McAfee on Tuesdays now LoL. When I used to NEVER WATCH, at all. I just remember a whole lot of people saying at the time, that it was BRADY who had A LOT to do with pushing him OUT. And the ‘timing’ of everything, just made a lot of sense. There were even rumors about it being his heart again, and everything… Cause, NO ONE was expecting for him to retire when he did. Hell, the season had already been long over and from all of his public appearances and etc, since then, there was ZERO ‘hint’ that he had ANY intentions of just walking away, and retiring like that!?

  95. BigBoiBuc Says:

Wish AquaDouche could be our coach. lol. Dude knows nothing about football. Just likes to talk. Lose a game? Fire the coach. 3 and out? Fire the OC. Give up a TD? Fire the Coach. Drop a pass? Cut the player. Get a penalty? Bench the player. lol. Hope the dudes wife watches the games so she can tell him what’s going on.

  96. Joe Says:

They totally pushed him out before he was ready.

Think what you are saying. The Glazers decided to wait until the start of free agency to dump a coach? Blow up all that draft prep? Destroy all the work on free agents? Start from Square 1 on offseason prep?

Arians wasn’t pushed out by the Glazers. If he was, he surely wouldn’t still be on payroll. And if he really did want to work (and was “pushed out” by the Glazers), he’d been working somewhere.

Knowing how close Arians and Licht are, if the Glazers dumped Arians they probably would have dumped Licht too because he would have gone ballistic.

(Remember when Chucky was canned? The reason the Glazers also canned Bruce Almighty because he put up a fight to keep Chucky.)

  97. MelvinJunior Says:

Sorry bout all of those typos, but I’d dosed off watching that boring-ass Kentucky vs North Carolina Basketball game LoL… So, my eyes were soooo outta focused haha. With that said, I think Kentucky Football FINALLY, made a grrrreat hire for ONCE. They hired Dan Lanning’s OC (now, maybe the BUCS can hire HIM – I can only dream). The crazy thing about Will Stein… He was born and grew-up in KENTUCKY, & was QB at Louisville. BOTH His PARENTS went to UK and are longtime Kentucky Football AND Basketball season ticket holders. So, THIS is a “Dream Job” for HIM. He said he can’t believe-it, that he grew-up attending UK-games as a kid with his parents, and thought about how great it would be to someday coach there!!!! WOW. What an amazing story. Hope he does AMAZING. Barring a very unique situation, maybe we can keep HIM THERE then, if he does turnout to be great!!!! Young, modern day, ‘offensive’ PLAY-CALLER, ex-QB, been coaching under “DAN LANNING” as HIS OC for about the last 3-years now… That’s the way, baby! I am VERY excited. It’s what I wanted 15-YEARS AGO, instead of Coach STOOPID. Finally.

  98. Josh Says:

Who is he?? Hope he gets FIRED TOO!!

  99. Rod Munch Says:

    Oscar Says:
    December 2nd, 2025 at 5:32 pm
Rod Munch very measured and reasonable take on expectations and where things stand. I do believe we could have been a bit better if we had a few less injuries to certain players. Maybe 8-4 or 9-3. But still not a powerhouse type of team. More like the Vikings last season that won 13 games but were not a real threat to win it all.

    ———

I don’t think it’s likely that the Bucs win the SB, that’s for sure, but I’m not at all discounting it. Been saying all year the Bucs just need to get healthy and get hot at the end of the season, if that happens, in a year with no dominant teams – they absolutely could win it all. Again, not predicting that, don’t think it’s going to happen, but I’m not quick to dismiss it. All depends on Baker – if he looks like the QB we had last year to close out this year, then they have a real shot. However if Baker doesn’t snap out of his slump, then no, they have no chance at all. The team was built to win on offense, and if the Bucs don’t lose anyone else, and they got a healthy Godwin and Bucky, they get back Evans and McMillan – then they have as much offensive talent as anyone in the NFL.

But they still need to actually make the playoffs, and we still need to see evidence that Baker is going to get back to where he was. I actually have some faith in him this year, just seems like now or never to me. We shall see.

  100. MelvinJunior Says:

Yes he was. Per Tom Brady. Bruce was still full steam ahead, and a go… All the way through, until APRIL. He had EVERY intention of returning as Head Coach. Ummmm… Until, HE WASN’T (suddenly, outta nowhere)!? It was 💯 that the Glazers “encouraged” him to step aside. It was widely speculated, and OBVIOUS. Why NOT do it at the very end of the season then… WHY wait for TWO. FULL. MONTHS. AFTER. The season had already been looong over!? Because, HE hadn’t planned-on ‘stepping-down’ HIMSELF, all on his own.💯. So, go ahead, believe all the propaganda you want! Hahah

  101. MelvinJunior Says:

Think what you are saying. The Glazers decided to wait until the start of free agency to dump a coach? Blow up all that draft prep? Destroy all the work on free agents? Start from Square 1 on offseason prep?

Well, that was exactly what they did, Joe! Todd wasn’t named HC until like the end of March, into early April. TWO FULL-MONTHS after the season had already ended. And, it’s not like that would’ve changed ANY of their ‘pre-draft/free-agency’ stuff, since Todd was already DC anyway, and was just promoted. Also, B.A. wasn’t really going ANYWHERE either, except for upstairs in the suites (or still at practices, watching, & etc).

  102. MelvinJunior Says:

I’m sorry, but I just cannot buy-it. I believe Brady had tired of Bruce and wanted HIM GONE. And, the Glazers complied. Bruce was PISSED (since he’d full ‘planned-on’ coaching for at least Brady’s final year). They sold-it to him as a “legacy-thing,” and he really had no other choice. Leave and admit that he was pushed-out, so that he could go and coach at someplace else, going on 70-years old… OR, play the “good stand-up guy” doing a solid for his Black DC/friend, while garnering all the favorable admiration from the media, and still be PAID to go upstairs in a mentor/advisory role. A total ‘WIN/WIN’ for BA. And, he took it! Forever solidifying his legacy in cement, literally!

  103. MelvinJunior Says:

What I’m saying is… Before, I’m labeled a “hater” LoL. I LOVE B.A. It’s just that I do not believe that it was truthfully ALL ‘his decision’ on HIS OWN. As he tried saying that it was, when he went around ‘selling-it’ to EVERY media outlet under the sun. I believe there was just a whoooole lot more to it that THAT. He went from being entirely focused on COACHING the team for the upcoming season… Until, HE WASN’T. It was all strange timing, and everything. I don’t believe it was just that simple, that he suddenly, outta nowhere like that, just decided to step aside. It was weird.

  104. gotbbucs Says:

Same as the last three years, this is a 3rd place team in a good division.
Context is important if he wants to make this argument.

  105. Old Florida is GOAT Says:

🤣Rage bait wall o text article.

He would know it’s all well placed criticism and hasn’t changed for the last several years. Bring Tomlin back to Tampa.

  106. Stuck with Green Says:

I wouldn’t bring in Tomlinson. Different coach but similar results. For whatever reason, the Steelers can’t even buy a playoff win! Lol

  107. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

“Nobody needs to “go away.” – Joe

    I can name a bunch.

  108. Dadgumit Says:

Time for Rives and “Bowels” to leave. The head coach is too proud-stupid to hire a defensive coordinator and Rives is holding the door wide shut for that exact stupidity to remain. Idiosy!

  109. Vegasbuc Says:

    Fire Todd

  110. Stpetematt Says:

Don’t forget the Bucs were really hoping David Walker could help with the pass rush. They were obviously targeting him. Didn’t work out due to terrible luck.

We are lucky to have a playoff team and have a lot of amazing players coming back from injury now. Could they win a Super Bowl? Sure. Will they? Probably not, but then again only 1 team does!

  111. Stpetematt Says:

PS- we would be absolute IDIOTS if we got rid of Jason Licht.

  112. StormyInFl Says:

Rives is and always has been an unlistenable shill. Always has been. He likely spouted the same nonsense about Raheem, Schiano, Lovie and Koetter.

Am I rooting for the Bucs to lose? Nope.

Do I think Bowles is a coach that can be anything more than average? Also no. He’s a Marvin Lewis/Jeff Fisher level coach. Nothing more.

As for Rives and his opinion – it’s worthless. The next time he makes a critical assessment of this team would be the first. He’s the Bucs version of Baghdad Bob.

  113. HC Grover Says:

    Amazing…A Todd Bowles Groupie

  114. Rick Says:

He works for the Bucs. Would you tell your boss to ‘go away’ lol

    TJ is ridiculous.

  115. johnnythemoon Says:

TJ responded to this post it was hilarious ..Not the first time JBF has went after him it appears…lol

  116. Rickrose Says:

TJ blasting non media types while working for the organization he was defending. Nice job giving your opinion. Fair and balanced? Okay. Apparently, he’s still upset about something that happened over 10 years ago. Grow up already.

  117. Stpetematt Says:

Advocates for change almost always get change in the wrong direction. Especially if the players liked the previous coach. And the Bucs do. Last time the Bucs changed away from Gruden and lost for 20 years. It’s a catastrophe waiting to happen. Dumb dumb dumb. Simple as that. If we get rid of Licht too we will quickly find he is utterly irreplaceable. There was talk of him being GM of the year not too long ago for God’s sake! The truth is the team has been decimated by injuries. Makes for a rough ride of a season. Stop contemplating lunacy and making it 10 times harder to win.

  118. White Tiger Says:

Not a fan of firing a head coach that has figured out how to re-build a team after TB12, pounding his fist on Licht’s table to target Baker Mayfield, keeping the team focused and playing hard & together, especially after the injury bug bit us in the last few seasons, watching him rally the team after each mid-season slides, making it to the divisional round in Baker’s first year, and playoff appearances with 2 different OC’s.

I am also frustrated &!tired of the mid season slides, the goofy in-game decisions that even the guys I the booth question, and especially the one-and-done playoff appearances… but I also remember TWO different lost decades with this team. Consistency is has GOT to be the strategy. Add OC’s (and maybe a new DC), add players and give him the cap space to bring in free agents on defense.

The “FireTheCoach” clan never considers that we haven’t done a great job of HIRING the next head coach. They never seem to understand that this is a two-sided coin. Firing means hiring, and over our history, we hire the wrong guys A LOT more often than we end up with the right guy. Decades more.

Let it ride and spend some Glazers Bucks for some key free agents/trades.

Let’s win-out (or maybe drop one more) this season before we decide the fate of Todd Bowles. We might just sneak up on some teams in the playoffs – especially once those horses all get back into the lineup.

Firing coaches only gets you a lot of time to re-consider your misconceptions. It’s usually so long that even “Fire-the-Coach fans” eventually understand the concept of keeping your powder dry.

    Just win baby.

  119. Kingfishjd Says:

    Well this didn’t age well..
