Dangerous Chris Godwin

November 30th, 2025

Chris Godwin speaks.

It seems Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht was telling the truth.

Before last week’s beatdown delivered by the Rams, Licht was adamant that Godwin looked like the old Chris Godwin behind the scenes. The game against the Rams was a lost effort in a hurry, but Godwin did make a short catch that showes a lot of agility, quickness and great hands.

It was something.

Today, however, the second-leading receiver in Bucs history was a dangerous performer. Godwin had 3 catches for 78 yards, and he broke tackles and was tough to bring down. The smiles seen on Godwin’s face were a tell, Joe believes.

Yeah, Godwin dropped a touchdown pass, a sure thing right in his hands. But Joe’s not sweating that. It happens. Godwin is only in his second game back.

Godwin’s revival should excite every Bucs fan. What will he look like next week or a month from now?

Godwin said in the locker room that he’s “starting to see signs of what I’m accustomed to.”

Exciting stuff.

    Godwin’s drop was tipped.

  2. Steven #55 Says:

Great to see him looking good again

  3. Erik with Pilot and Driver™ Says:

He looked great rossi other than that drop.

He looked very fast, strong, and explosive.

  4. Erik with Pilot and Driver™ Says:

    *today not rossi

  5. Lewi Says:

Super stoked he’s doing well, what a dawg

  6. Vegasbuc Says:

    Fire Todd

  7. Colonel Angus Says:

Get Mike and JMac back and we may get hot at the right time. Today was a day to win anyway we could. I’ll take it, ends losing streak. Saints should be in tank mode and ATL’ just lost, have to win those 2. I’ll be suprised if they don’t flex the Panthers game.

  8. Miller5252 Says:

Godwin looks good but the offensive line looks horrible. The few times Mayfield didn’t look rushed he seemed to throw a good ball. The O line really needs to start playin better or Godwin won’t be getting anything

  9. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

    We have 2 # 2s neither a burner

  10. Aqualung Says:

    Test

  11. Baking with Grizz Says:

    We weren’t dominant against a 3-8 team.
Panthers beat the Rams. I’m getting a little concerned now.
And we have to face Cousins again.

What was supposed to be easy finished is not turning out to be that.

  12. SB~LV Says:

A bright spot in an otherwise ugly afternoon of football

  13. Allen Lofton Says:

With Godwin back and looking 👍 Mike Evans hopefully back sometime in December will be a huge boost especially in the red zone where his height advantage will add an extra score or two.

If it happens the Bucs will be a formally teams in the playoffs.

  14. Show Me the TDs Says:

It won’t matter. This team has no heart. They looked weak and uninterested today. The 3 win Cardinals were just a little bit worse.

  15. Outrigger Says:

No creativity in the play calling. Need to get Godwin and Tez the ball in space. No enough touches gor Tucker and White. Lots of runs ups the hut on 1st down. Too much talent on offense to be struggling this much

  16. Pops Malone Says:

Will take the win! Bowles sucks! His defense plays like his boring, get excited about nothing personality. Be careful Todd, there may actually be a good team in this division in Carolina, get your large rearend prepared for them….

  17. HC Grover Says:

Nice he can play….Bakefield won this game with his feet.

  18. Obvious Says:

Loved watching 14 look like early ‘24 again

  19. Kayla Says:

Dangerous? He dropped a perfect TD pass that might have cost them the game. Old #14 would NEVER do that.

  20. Simeon4HOF Says:

Offense should be on fire come Playoffs
    So happy for Chris

  21. orlbucfan Says:

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmcccccccccc”DANGEROUS” CHRIS GODWIN? NOPE, HE WAS JUST ROMPING AROUND THE FIELD GETTING A SUN TAN. GRIZZARD IS A JOKE.MMMMMMMMMMMMMbbbbbbbbbbbbb

  22. Bucfan1988 Says:

Doesn’t matter who comes back on the offense when your practically fully healthy defense is a bumbling, stumbling, bad coaching, no edge rushing, missed tackling, crappy defensive scheming sieve……

    BOWLESSSSS HASSSSS GOT TO GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

  23. Aqualung Says:

    Water is wet

  24. #1bucsfan Says:

Outrigger exactly what I thought. Oline looks bad. Grizz has got to do a better job calling plays. To many long developing routes when the oline isn’t giving baker time for them. Needs to change to shorter route , quicker routes. There’s a ton of talent on the offense. Bowles defense allowed a ton of yards but held them to 17 pts. People crying about that but 17 pts allowed should be a win every time for us with the offense we have.

  25. TheBucsAnthem Says:

He’s definitely lost a step for sure……just like Raschaad White….

…..nobody wants to say it, so I will.

We all love CG……but his days are numbered in TB

  26. heyjude Says:

    Chris looked great!

  27. Bucsarg Says:

Godwin and Bucky looked good. We looked generally sloppy, bad play calling, and lots of missed tackles. Glad we won. We do not look like a playoff team any more

  28. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Oh, before I forget to say it….. FIRE JOSH GRIZZARD!!!!!

  29. Oldbucsfan Says:

We basically have two number one receivers on the field now. The running backs are back. The offense has no excuse now. Mike drew alot defenders bit he was doing anything before he got hurt. The same goes for defense. That said, they still played like complete trash and got lucky and one. All this on the head coach and his incompetent minions.

  30. ModHairKen Says:

This guy, Chris Godwin, has great power and courage and stamina.

    Lead these men, CG.

  31. Aqualung Says:

    Air has nitrogen.

  32. Bucfan1988 Says:

Grizzard is just in over his head.,…..

Bowles defensive scheme is old outdated trash that exposes players and giving them responsibilities that they don’t the skillset for like Anthony Nelson chasing fast running backs down the field for the last 3 straight games….

    BLOWWWWWW UP THIS COACHING STAFF!!!!!!

  33. Ninety9buc Says:

Godwin Jr. was open all day!!!!

Grizzard is average at best, as an offensive coordinator.
Hopefully he will watch the film and make Godwin Jr. a focal point of this
    Offense.

  34. El hefe Says:

A lot of people that are congratulating Godwin right now are the same people saying we should not have paid him. Glad he’s back

  35. ModHairKen Says:

El, not this guy. He’s worth more than he’s being paid.

  36. Mveal2006 Says:

Time will tell. I have my doubts. 20 is not going to win many games

  37. firethecannons Says:

yup Godwin is back–looked almost like his old self, so glad as honestly I thought he was done career wise. Good to see, why did we have to be in the dark about him for so long?

  38. JA Says:

    Gotta give Godwin credit.
He busted his tail to get back in there this year when others would have called it a season, sat back and cashed checks.
Wish we had more like him.

  39. Buckit Says:

Godwin getting separation was great to see. Having he and Bucky back was the difference in the Bucs win today. One thing though regarding Chris, after catching the ball in traffic, he covers it with both arms to his chest. He started doing that a few seasons ago after having the ball punched out. I suppose it is not that big a deal, but think it slows him down.
