Jalen McMillan On Track To Resume Practice

November 30th, 2025

Return soon.

Jalen McMillan is Exhibit-A why Joe loathes worthless preseason games. Thankfully, McMillan’s nightmare of a 2025 season is about to end.

McMillan, who broke a bone in his neck when he was undercut by Steelers camp meat corner Daryl Porter in a worthless preseason game in Pittsburgh in August, hasn’t stepped on a football field to play or practice since.

Last week Joe spotted McMillan on the sidelines in Los Angeles during the sealclubbing of the Bucs by the Rams. Joe took that as a promising sign — McMillan traveling cross country with the team.

More important, McMillan did not have a neck brace on.

Well, it seems McMillan may begin practicing this week. That’s the word from Ian Rapoport of NFL.com this morning.

So with Bucky Irving back today along with Ben Bredeson, and McMillan on the cusp of returning to practice it seems like the cavalry is coming.

McMillan was on pace right on time to come back till he saw Teddy “2-gloves and a Hospital Ball” Bridgewater might be the starter

  14. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Players get injured in practice all the time….does that mean practice is worthless?

  15. Tony Says:

I don’t know if I’d take that chance playing this year. I’d wait until next year & rest some more.

  16. RVATom Says:

Pre season…. I mean, you could blame the pass placement too. You could blame the rules. You could blame McMillan for doing his job. I mean, if he breaks his neck in a game because someone undercuts his feet it’s the same damned thing. I can’t imagine many D Backs care about the dude theyre hitting, they just want that pass incomplete.

  17. Vegasbuc Says:

    Fire Todd

  18. Oldbucsfan Says:

Scheduled to resume practice? When is this exactly?

  19. firethecannons Says:

I blame Todd Bowles, Mcmillan is a starter on a team of delicates. No reason to of had him in a preseason game, none whaatsoever. Good reason to fire Bowles for this egregious mistake.
