Flu Bug Subsiding

November 20th, 2025

Full participant in practice.

The Bucs’ injury report was pretty gnarly yesterday with the flu bug biting so many Bucs, including Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Well, Mayfield and so many others returned to practice today. The only two players who could not practice were Haason Reddick and Jamel Dean. Even Bucky Irving practiced, though he was limited.

Chris Godwin was a full participant today. That’s not bad, is it?

And Joe knows it will warm Bucs fans’ hearts to know that Chris Braswell was practicing today. Though, unfortunately, he was limited.

Man, getting back a healthy Godwin would be huge. I assume they’ll ease him back in, but who knows, if he’s fully healthy and ready to go, then there is no reason not to play him. But what a huge addition he is. Now I’m wonder when we’ll hear about Evans – technically speaking, he could be back as soon as the Cards game, obviously very unlikely, but that’s how the timeline works out. In any case, hopefully we’ll start hearing something about him taking snaps in the next few weeks. With his injury, I’m not sure if he will need a ramp up period, of if he’s basically good to go the moment he’s “healthy”.

Since the special teams coach and all of his players are still with the team, I don’t think much 9f the chances for a win.

Godwin will not play just getting him read for next season.

So Reddick is still not ready? What a bust. Joe was touting Reddick as the edge rusher that Licht needed to sign. Too bad that Licht listened to Joe. I was expecting Larry Foote could fire up the edge guys, but he’ll be unemployed when Bowles is fired at the end of the season. I was hoping Reddick would step up to earn a big salary next year, but he’s just as impotent as the rest of the edge rushers. The good news is that nobody will want him next year and he’ll be a cheap re-sign. Maybe put him on special teams?

Braswell is about as popular as JTS as Noah Spence. Licht is too cheap to get a solid edge in draft or FA.

Think people (should) give Spence a pass. He showed something his rookie year and then he blew out his shoulder twice. He was never the same.

    @firethecannons

We can just bring back Simeon Rice for pretty cheap right now & he’d probably be playing just as good as some of them. Since yeah they don’t wanna spend anymore $$$$ than they have to.

Man, Braswell was just another wasted pick. A far as Reddick, looks like Licht rolled the dice and came up with snake eyes which is half a sack more than Reddick has contributed. Getting Godwin back would be a moral boost and he could give the Rams something to think about besides Egbuka. BTW, Houston appears to be able to control Josh Allen but the Texans’ special teams are keeping the Bills in the game with bad coverages on kicks.

Did anyone see the report Mike Florio put out about Bucky saying he heard some inside information that the reason he is out is not just because of injury idk what they could be referring to maybe he had a bad test for Enhancing drugs an that’s why they didn’t put him in IR idk if that would even count I’m just speculating but either way I love Bucky an he’s been back practicing an at the games so what could it be ???

BuccinBaker6, Joe has an article about it below. BTW I did see Trask is on the ATL practice squad. Rick Stroud was gaslighting Buc fans in his podcast about seeing Trask starting for the ATL and getting revenge in front of a national audience. Sad thing is Bowles D is known to make bad QBs look like Kurt Warner in 1999 so he could actually put up some numbers if he ever saw the field..

Haha. Who would’ve thought Bowles just shuffling his defensive assistants to different position groups made absolutely no improvement? Same stale scheme. Same trash pass rush. No new voices. No new ideas.

  12. DBS Says:

Didn’t we see an earlier thread that Godwin and Bucky were ruled out already?

  13. DBS Says:

Guess we just wait and see who shows up.

Were about too have the same record as the texans 😭😭🤮

  15. HopetheBucswin Says:

7-8 sacks!?. We got zero. Wow. Made our defense look silly. Go Bowles silly defense?

  16. Cchead Says:

So that’s what a defense is supposed to look like.

  17. ElioT Says:

I hope Todd and the defense took notes during this Texans Bills game.

That was grown man defense that we haven’t seen in Tampa since 2002.

These current Bucs defenders are a bunch boys.

  18. Rod Munch Says:

I don’t really get what the rumors are on Bucky, but if it’s no injury related, then why in the world would he be limited in practice? If it’s something else then wouldn’t he just be out?

Hate all the rumor stuff, all it does is, as a Bucs fan, is make me think of Doug Martin. If it’s nothing like that, I wish we’d at least get a vailed comment to let people know – if that has happened I’ve missed it.

In any case, I just stand by the idea if its something big that is going to keep him out, then why wasn’t he ever put on IR? That’s why I keep hoping he’s coming back any day now.

With defense like that, guess who’s most likely to have the better record in the end?

    Bucs defense should be ashamed

  20. Rod Munch Says:

The Bucs literally beat the Texans.

The Texans literally beat the Bills.

    Bucs > Bills

  21. ElioT Says:

Bucs would win 1-5 vs that Texans defense

  22. ElioT Says:

I’m just extremely jealous knowing what’s coming Sunday night

  23. Kenton Smith Says:

Eliot- if you know what’s coming Sunday night then you’ve surely taken advantage at your betting parlor? I didn’t think so.

Don’t give up on him just yet. I suspect he’s going to start producing soon. Development is a process.
