  1. Leopold Stotch Says:

I expected nothing to happen, Jason loves his picks. This should not have surprised anyone. We are the Packers now lol. In terms of picks and trades. Only difference is we actually keep the good players and draft way better. But yeah, no surprises. Can’t be disappointed when you expect nothing to happen 🤷‍♂️

  2. Paratrooper Bucs Says:

Bucs are 6-2 but with the injuries knocking out key players for the season, I feel Licht/Bowles passed on trading because they are hoping for enough recovery (Goedecke/Godwin/Bucky/Mike) and young talent stepping up to help offset things for a playoff run. While also planning for a better run next year. Leaves me a bit frustrated as hope is not a plan.

  3. Chuckys Bucs Says:

Not making a trade does not mean they didnt try. I also dont believe a trade puts us over the top this year. Smart move is to see how far we go with what we have then make a splash in the offseason. We have a young secondary that has potential to be historic. Bucky, Egbuka, and the offensive line are also young and dominant when healthy.

  4. SB~LV Says:

    Pleased
If the roster was not missing so many starters and the team was playing well and they needed a boost at one position for the run to the SB then giving up draft picks for a special player then I would be fine, we are not fitting that scenario.

Still think they have a chance to go deep in the playoffs but…

  5. Saskbucs Says:

I clicked Sad… mildly disappointed is more accurate.

I expected nothing and got nothing. I have no idea what kind of player Logan Wilson is but if he’s half decent, I would have been in on him for a 6th or 7th. Protect a weak position from injury and potentially give Lavonte some rest before the playoffs.

I would care much less about no moves if it wasn’t potentially Mike and Lavontes last kick at the can here. The NFC is there for us, if the brass truly thinks we will have most guys healthy come playoff time, bolstering the ranks made sense to me.

  6. ocala Says:

Jason Licht has been doing a phenomenal job at drafting, so I don’t blame him for not making a trade. This next draft is supposed to be very strong at what appears to be the Bucs two biggest positions of need (inside linebacker and edge).

  7. Billlbuc Says:

Licht thinks his drafting is all he needs . The good teams that will go far in the playoffs and eventually win it all, will have made a trade . The Bucs injuries will catch up to us and we will limp into the playoffs and lose in the first round and everyone needs to remember Licht did nothing . We had such an opportunity and Licht just pissed it away .

  8. jimmy Says:

not surprised should have been one of the poll choices. nobody is surprised.

  9. capnhowdy Says:

I agree with Billlbuc. I don’t want to be right but I have a feeling this will come back to bite Licht in the *ss big time.

  10. Usfbucs Says:

I think the Bucs have done a great job at drafting and building a team that at full strength is capable of a deep playoff run. In spite of our injuries and having a new OC we are second in the NFC and first in the South.

If we had made a move we could have made our roster even stronger with just some late round picks. If the trade we made involved players with years left on their contract then it’s not throwing away a pick. I do agree that keeping our early round picks is inportant and trading away multiple years of picks would not have been smart so I applaud the Bucs for not trading away the future.

  11. DBS Says:

Content. I leave it to professionals to decide . They have more inside knowledge about the team.. And they’re not going to call me to ask what they should or shouldn’t be doing.

  12. Rod Munch Says:

If you actually thought the Bucs would make a move, you’re clueless. Licht values those lottery tickets more than proven players. So long as he hits on those lottery tickets, it’s all good.

  13. Jeff Says:

Licht blew it. Can’t tell me there wasn’t a LB or WR that could have helped this team.

  14. Kayla Says:

Totally pleased! Keep the picks. No trade they could make would make them a SB favorite or even an NFC favorite this season. They just have too many injuries to overcome. It wasn’t meant to be in 2025. Full speed ahead in 2026, though with no excuses.

  15. Joe Sea Says:

The Bucs might have wanted to make a move and tried hard, but if the price isn’t there it’s not there.

I trust Licht to do the best thing. He drafted EE in our eyes, and most of the commenters here cried and boo-hoo’ed

  16. BA’s Red Pen Says:

Frustrated but in no know way shocked.

  17. buc4evr Says:

Sad, Bucs could have gotten JTS back for a 7th. lol. 😆😝

  18. Stevek Says:

Frustrated we didn’t make a move for a pass rusher. Maybe it wasn’t there, but I’d of taken a shot at Hendrickson or Garrett. I would not be “fristrated” if we find out Licht made calls, but didn’t like the price.

I’m more frustrated that our edge rush is damn near toothless. We can’t gum the QB down into a sack. We need a badge rusher to compliment Vita.

Nelly was great two weeks ago, hope to see him get more reps.

But darn, it would be awesome to have an edge guy that could win up front and create pressure. Ah well, a man can dream

  19. Oxycondomns Says:

of all the players just traded what percent have character concerns?

  20. Usfbucs Says:

Buc4evr is being a savage. I saw that trade and thought damn we drafted this guy and kept him in as a starter for so many years. First year off our roster and he doesn’t even see the field with one team and another is like meh I guess we can give him a shot.

  21. StucBuc Says:

Everyone got stronger while we stayed put. Sad mad frustrated, expected more from the GM.

Frustrated we didn’t make a move for a pass rusher. Maybe it wasn’t there, but I’d of taken a shot at Hendrickson or Garrett.

    ———-

You people that think Garrett is on the market are nuts. The stupid Browns are basically a QB away from being a good team, and they’re going to dump the best defender in football – for what exactly? A couple of late 1st round picks? That would be insane. He was never on the market.

As for Hendrickson, the fact he wasn’t moved at all tells me his injury is more serious than people know, or people weren’t offering much. If the Bengals don’t sign any big names, and Hendrickson leaves, you figure it will net them probably a 3rd or 4th rounder. I doubt anyone was giving up more than a 4th for a few weeks of a guy who is currently injured.

  23. BakerFan Says:

When Seahawks match up with Bucs in the playoffs it is finished. They made the move and boywonder Light thinks he is God of the draft. Hits on a few late rounds, misses on drafting edges and he is a legend in his own mind.

  24. BakerFan Says:

Rod Munch…. QB away from being a good team, LOL, you are delusional.

  25. Mort Says:

You left off “good” as an option. I’d have picked that over content. I’m glad we didn’t overpay for someone else’s trash thank you very much.

  26. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Lichts’ been our GM for a pretty long time, if you were expecting fireworks today in regards to trade then you know who our GM is but not how he operates. All this Dolphins fire sale talk, turns out it’s the Jets being the Jets still

    ………
What makes you think they will have a healthy team next year??? You play for today not tomorrow.

  28. heyjude Says:

It’s okay. We will be fine. Jason must have a plan.

  29. Whatevs Says:

Expected. The future Ring of Honor Twins keep winning the Draft and the NFC South and lose in the first round of the playoffs.

So this is who the Bucs are. Either live with it, or get loud about it. It won’t change until those idiots are gone.

I think I am going to wear my NFC south Champions T-shirt to Philadelphia next time I visit. Maybe Kansas City will love my 2025 A+ Draft Rating Hat I will be sporting in February while watching them take on the Eagles for the Super Bowl.

Stop blaming the refs, injuries, and the time of kickoff for the reasons the Bucs will disappear in the playoffs (if they even make it this year)

  30. BakerFan Says:

Bucs will probably draft around 26, what player is going to be available at 26 that will push this team forward? We will wait and see.

  31. capnhowdy Says:

Jakobi Meyers to the serpent’s Jags for a 4th and 6th rounder….Really Licht?? You’re THAT CONFIDENT in the current state of your receiving corps?? *sshat.

  32. TheScourge Says:

Trade was unnecessary. The 0-3 mid season slump has arrived and there was no one available that can stop it. We have to just hope they get enough garbage wins at the end. Frustrating.

  33. Whatevs Says:

Tampa Bay Bucs are going to win the 2026 Draft.

    WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS.

Get the water parade ready. See our draft picks float down the Hillsborough River.

1st Round: A Punter from Australia
2nd Round: Todd’s babysitter’s nephew who plays flag football
3rd Round: A dude with three torn ACLs in college
    4th Round: Kyle Trask
5th Round: Traded to Cowboys for 3 7th round picks
6th Round: An undersized lineman from Bishop Sycamore
All 4 7th round picks on 5’11 215 pound DEs that are “athletes”

Of course all have 4.0 gpa, walk old ladies across streets, volunteer at homeless shelters, and say please and thank you

  34. MadMax Says:

oh well…. all i wanted to see was a 7th, maybe a 5th go, but keep the rest….Brooks mustve been too expensive. Wilson went for a 7th so theres that.

    All good.

  35. jcscycles Says:

He probably made inquiries but did not like the asking price.

If you make crazy deals then what you get is the Dallas Cowboys. No thanks!

  36. Boise Bucs Fan Says:

Brady SB year, you constantly heard the management say they were all in, this year not so much. You can’t win a SB this year with next years draft pics.

  38. StucBuc Says:

@Oxycondomns we won a SB with the biggest of character concerns AB. Seriously?

Next year could be a whole different season, BM may get injured, vita isn’t getting any younger, a whole lot can be different. Last I checked history looks at how many SB wins franchises have not how great their picks or players are. This was a small window……hope JL proves us wrong but he missed out on some talent this year. Micah should have been a buc. I don’t know anymore what the group is thinking.

  39. Matty Says:

Interested that he made the calls about Quinnen Williams. Him and Vea would have been a terror up front. But the price was too high.

  40. DmanTX Says:

I think Licht and company want to build a team that continues to contend year after year and he needs draft pics to do that long term. They haven’t missed much so let’s see how this goes. Go Bucs!!

  41. BucfaninMi Says:

    Eagles will repeat

  42. JBBUCS_06 Says:

The leadership of this team know better than we do who is coming back from injury and who isn’t. Bucs top 10 in sacks w/o Reddick doing much, why should we trade for another player?

Getting Goedeke back will open the offense more than getting Bucky back. We’ll be able to send more out in the routes and explore Grizzard’s wizardry.

Play championship defense, don’t turn the ball over and score 25+ per game and we should get to the 2nd round of the playoffs at least.

  43. ScotD Says:

Jason and this front office know how to build and manage a team. I personally trust this front office. Go Bucs!

  44. unbelievable Says:

    Frustrated, but not surprised.

Licht is content to simply compete in the playoffs.

Teams like the Eagles are working to win another championship.

  45. Bee Says:

Everyone knew Licht wasn’t going to give up any picks during the season. Keep your fingers crossed no else gets hurt and that the best players heal.

  46. David Says:

Extremely thin at edge and ILB and right guard. Hopefully they know that Bucky and Godwin are coming back 100% healthy.

This is a Super Bowl contending team. I get not wanting to get rid of draft picks, but it gets to a point where it’s ridiculous. Give something up to win the damn Super Bowl.

  47. Jmarkbuc Says:

Gonna go all optimistic and think Bud Licht feels like at least Godwin will be back..

  48. Whatevs Says:

The Bucs were a SB contender.

    The calculus has changed

    Injuries took a toll
    Eagles and Seahawks added talent
    The Grizz is not Coen
    Todd is still Todd
    The Panthers are a threat

Will Todd still get into the Ring of Honor if we are 2nd place in the NFC South?

  49. Knothead71 Says:

I voted no thought, that best described where I am. Of course I wanted a receiver, LB and a stud edge rusher, but I’m just a fan. Jason Licht and his front office have Way Yonder more information available to them than I do.
I trust them to do whats best for the Bucs.
    GO BUCS!

  50. Weebs10 Says:

High maintenance fans moaning about a 6-2 team that’s a blast to watch. A trade would have been fun but I’m still going to enjoy the season. Remember it’s just young men who are fast and strong, throwing and kicking a weird shaped ball. Not that serious

  51. Bill in Seminole Says:

Frustrated but…the last 5 games of the season are:

    New Orleans
    Atlanta
    Carolina
    Miami
    Carolina

Win them all (or at least 4 of 5) and go to the playoffs, or else go home.

  52. Joseph C Simmons Says:

    “No thoughts”

    In Licht I trust.

  53. Kayla Says:

Remember in the two SB years they only lost one starter each for the season. In 2002 Booger went down and was replaced Chartric Darby who played very well and 2020 they lost Cappa in the playoffs and Stinne stepped in and they didn’t miss a beat. The luck of staying relatively healthy pushes really good teams to greatness. No such luck this year. It is what it is. How do you think they feel in Washington right now with their lofty SB dreams?

  54. JA Says:

    Expect anything different?
In other news, the Bears gave up a 6th rounder to the Browns for our old friend, JTS—a steal for the Bears as everybody knows JTS was taking on a massive amount of double teams to allow Miles Garrett to get all those sacks … or was that in another universe?

  55. Saskbucs Says:

If you are in here saying everyone got better but us, or the team left at the end of the year from the NFC will have made moves…

You are talking about the Eagles and Seahawks. One of them could certainly be the NFC winner but Bucs didn’t make moves along with Detroit, LA, SF and GB if we aren’t taking Parsons into account. They lost to the Panthers with Parsons and now are down their starting TE.

Healthy Luke, Mike, Bucky, Chris and Haason for the playoffs still makes us a contender. 1 game at a time.

  56. IrishTony Says:

Jaelen Phillips is injury prone and certainly isn’t worth a 3rd round pick. Philly’s problem is their offense anyway.

  57. ElioT Says:

I would have loved to see them go after a WR.

The injuries have already caught up to them over the last two games and it’s only going to get worse.

Even if Evans & Godwin come back, how effective will they be?

Our #1 is a rookie and then it’s a huge drop to Shep, Johnson, Miller, etc.

I don’t agree with this complacency.

  58. August 1976 Buc Says:

If they thought a trade would take this team to reach the Super Bowl, trades would be made, like the Eagles did. The Eagles have made moves because they know they can win another SB, the Bucs just do not believe that about this years team. This Bucs team needs at least WR, OL, LB, and possibly a DL. The 2 teams that played physical against the Bucs, were the Eagles and the Lions, not encouraging watching those losses. Right now Division Rd is most likely the ceiling, or possibly NFC Title game at best. Time will tell, but just going to enjoy the ride and hope “HOPE” for the best, whatever that looks like.
Many things more important than football, like having power, thats been out for the last 24 hours after a hurricane that just came through here.

  59. IrishTony Says:

Our defense is fine. We have arguably the best secondary in the league and we’re top 5 in sacks. Is the middle of the field coverage weak? Absolutely. I would have loved someone like Waddle as another option for Baker but that was probably unrealistic.

  60. I Remember 21 Says:

Frustrated. Picks are FUTURE assets, trades are CURRENT assets. If EVER there is a time to make a trade, it’s when you are having a promising season, but are beset by injuries. A chance to make midseason adjustments when things haven’t played out the way you thought they would (SVD anyone?). Does that sound like any team you know? Draft picks are based on potential, trades (especially mid season ones) are based on current performance. It’s not that there was any one specific player I wanted us to go after (we have LOTS of holes, mainly due to injuries {G WR EDGE ILB CB}), but it’s frustrating because it indicates to me we aren’t ALL IN for this season. And how can you not be all in for ME13 & LVD’s last seasons when you’re 6-2??? I didn’t expect any trades, but I’m still very disappointed and frustrated. And I didn’t even want some huge trade. We couldn’t send a third or fourth to Miami for an ILB? The other thing that peeves me is it feels like part of the reason we are hesitant to make trades, especially on defense, is because of bowles’ needlessly complex yet also ineffective defensive scheme. 😡🤬😡

  61. Cybersecurity_intern Says:

Why are the Bowles fans frustrated, he doesnt know how to use players so it would have been a waste.

  62. JTHV Says:

    JTHV Says:

None of the players traded today are worth the squeeze

    1. Sauce is NYC hype burnt toast
    2. Watch the Words tape on QW from just a month ago
    3. Cincy LB got replaced by 2 rookies and the still can’t stop a nosebleed
    4. Myers is on 3rd team in 5 years
    5. Rest are not not worth the text characters to continue

  63. Obvious One Says:

    My vote? Bored…

    Surprised? Not even sort of.

Will Jason Licht come out tomorrow and make a half a$$Ed attempt to convince people he did ALL HE COULD DO..? WAY TOO MANY UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS THIS TIME, so You bet he will! However, you’re best served to remember that he lies A Lot and take it with a grain of salt..

Will I spend anymore money on my crippled Bucs? The GM Won’t, and neither will I.

Do I “still” consider Licht as the best GM that we’ve Ever Had up to this point? Yes I Do.

I follow his movements (Licht) as far as my expectations. With that said, without the “WILL” to bring in help in our time of OBVIOUS and Desperate NEED, I already know the “team” doesn’t have the support or belief from upper management that we’re going to the Super Bowl this year and WILL NOT invest any further in the current season. You know, “THE REASON” most invest time AND ESPECIALLY Money! THEN AGAIN… There are A LOT OF SUCKERS as demonstrated day after day on this successful web site.

Will I support the team I love “OTHER THAN” the money? Of course

I’ve noticed what the final votes says on the subject. Seems the MAJORITY IS NOT HAPPY with either the “no attempt” or the “Lack of Ability” to close a deal…. I’M WITH THEM!

  64. Buccaner Bonzai Says:

    Pleased.

Save the picks. Jason Licht does a great job drafting.

    Billlbuc Says
“Licht thinks his drafting is all he needs . The good teams that will go far in the playoffs and eventually win it all, will have made a trade”

Teams that cannot draft well do trades, and many trades backfire.

But…All teams have made trades at some point, so I guess you are technically right.

btw…we got our SBs with FAs and draft picks. Unless you count trading for Jon Gruden.

  65. Alanbucsfan Says:

All this chatter about not making a trade will fade away if the Bucs win Sunday
This game is an excellent matchup- should be game of the day

  66. Jarrett Says:

    WHO CARES ABOUT WINNING SUPERBOWLS

WHEN WE CAN WIN NEXT YEARS DRAFT INSTEAD

THE DRAFT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SUPERBOWLS TO JASON LICHT

    CMON MAN!

  67. Ugo Says:

Am I a bit disappointed? Yes.
Do I prefer not making a move vs overpaying for a player? Also yes.

Let’s not forget that we are in the dark about a lot of things that goes on internally with the team. Who knows, if we had all the information the front office does, we might be inclined to make the same decision

  68. Jp1979 Says:

Either the bucs are planning on getting all of their players back or light doesn’t think this is a super bowl team

  69. Zoocomics Says:

Last couple of years I’ve been ok sitting back, because we weren’t a player away from making a deep run, and per our record, I wasn’t sure if we’d be selling for more draft picks. Yet, hindsight, last season? Might have been one of our best chances to get back to the big dance. Coen was our OC, Our Oline was healthy, Bucky had emerged. Imagine a pass rusher to bolster our def or a WR prior to the trade deadline…maybe that’s enough to beat Washington, not sure who we would have gotten next, Rams maybe? I know we had beaten the Lions and the Eagles earlier in the season. Just that one player, might have been the difference that makes the play who turns the tide against Washington.

Anyways, if Licht thinks he can build a championship organically through the draft his full of spit. You do the best you can and then you take a swing if it’s your window, and yeah, I think it’s our window now. I don’t think there’s any world beaters in the NFL this season, and if/when we’re healthy I think we can punch any of the NFC teams right in the mouth. Licht took a swing in 2020 and it paid off. You don’t need to give up first and second round picks for a quality trade. A quality RG, even for a half a season would not have cost a fortune and would have given us a little added juice when Goedeke returns. Instead, we’re ready to go with a rotation of practice squad guys. Just unacceptable imo. I think this org is fine with consistency vs going all in to compete for another title. Just remember Bucs fans, our division won’t be crap forever. We’ve been really lucky these last few years and I think Licht in this org is missing an opportunity.

  70. gotbbucs Says:

Looked to me like it was a seller’s market. Not good enough value.

  71. FortMyersDave Says:

I clicked sad, but I see why Jason did not make a deal. Jakobi Myers was had by the London Jaguars for a 4th and 6th round pick which means that the Bucs would have to had made a better offer given that they are likely to pick lower in the draft: ie. a 3rd rounder, or 2 4ths……. I saw the Bears got JTS from the Browns, just shows that just because you make a deal, it may not improve your team.

Since guys like Irving, Goedeke and Godwin are not on IR I am assumming they will be back in the next few weeks or some imbecile in the Bucs front office dropped the ball, we shall see.

  72. MadMax Says:

Bonzai, you forgot about the Keyshawn Johnson trade….and the JPP trade!!!

  73. Sonny P Says:

Teams around us in the NFC standings git better. Bucs are placing way too much trust in guys coming back. Hope is not a strategy.

  74. cmurda Says:

For the love of God Jason, make a move for once. Trade for a big name. I love Licht. I think he’s great at drafting but he’s not greater than getting a proven commodity like a Parsons before GB got him or a Maxx. 2 1sts and then some for Parsons? All day, every day. We are 6-2 and there seems to be no desire to shore up our lousy D Line or account for rough O Line injuries. Mark me down in the frustrated category.

  75. cmurda Says:

@Dave. It’s not the offensive skill position players that we should have sought out. Even with Mike out and maybe Godwin, the WR’s have shown they can next man up it. Bucky will be back and he’s got RB locked down. Until Bucky is back, Rachaad is capable of holding it down, sort of. The trenches is where the game of American football is won. That’s where my frustration lies. Our team is good but the trenches aren’t strong enough to hang with the big boys. Did we watch the Lions game? Ugh.

  76. BigMacAttack Says:

I trust Jason Licht and his decisions. He’s proven himself and they’re probably confident with the team they have as well as getting guys back healthy and ready to go when they need them. Start building to the peak in late December. Then rock n roll baby!!

  77. John Mason Says:

Well…..Still amazed Jason did not come up with a trade to help this beat up team…almost half of the starting offense in injured..many for the year…including all 3 starting receivers Evens Godwin and McMillon…all prob done for the regular season….the offense has sucked the last 2 games, how could he not get some help to get the team over the finish line. Seems Jason is not all in for a SB run…at least he still has his 6th and 7th pick in the draft…WTF hate to say it but the was the offense is playing we will get smoked the nx 3 games….Maybe the defense can get some more turnovers…we will see.

  78. Davenport Says:

This team is not a Super Bowl contender and no trade will make them one. No point in mortgaging even a sliver of the future.

Deep down, Licht must be frustrated watching a talented roster go to waste the past three plus years.

  79. Rod Munch Says:

So many drama queens in here throwing a fit because they’re so stupid they believed their own hype that some big move was coming. It’s OK to do some fantasy trades, so long as you realize it’s not going to happen. But these dullards actually thought their nonsense scenarios would happen, as if the Browns are trading Garrett for a 1st rounder, or Vegas takes a 3rd for Crosby, just real low IQ stuff.

  80. Colonel Angus Says:

What Munch said. Buck up sissies, we’ll be ok.

  81. BucsFanSince1996 Says:

Due to the number of injuries, this team has so many needs. Acquiring replacements for several positions where we need help would require some serious draft capital. If Licht pulled off several trades to improve the team and they failed to win the SB, some commenters here who are criticizing Licht for not pulling the trigger on a trade would be criticizing Licht instead for making the trades and giving up too many draft picks. 😉

I trust Licht and his staff to make the right decisions rather than any commenters here. He already built a team that made Brady want to come here, and he’s well on the way to building another great team during the years he’s had to dig the team out of salary cap hell.

  82. RC Says:

I think, first and foremost, is the cap complications that will come as the result of a trade. I don’t think the Bucs want to rent a player for a season or take on a huge contract with Baker’s deal coming up and others. Second, we have a stacked team, offensively at least, but injuries have plagued us and perhaps this is not the year to go all in, maybe we are not close enough. When these injured players trickle back, will they be 100%? Will we really be able to make a push? Hard to say. Those draft picks that we might give up could be the depth we need next season. I just am not sure we are close enough yet to justify going all in. It’s close, but not sure we are there yet.

LMAO at all the NFL, CFL and UFL successful GM’s telling Licht and the Glazer’s what to do. Oh wait. None of you ever even applied to be one. Go buy cell phone’s,cars and homes. Pay for college for your kids and let them move back home. But leave the running of the team to The Real Experts!

DBS: What a dumb sentiment. Do you know the origin of the word fan? They want us to buy the tickets and merch, follow the socials, etc. With that comes passion & opinions. The second that stops, so does the money.
