Bucs Own The Best Record In The NFC

October 12th, 2025

Alone at the top.

It’s official!

The Detroit Lions fell hard to the Chiefs tonight and that means, at 5-1, the Buccaneers own the best record in the NFC. No ties. No waiting on another team to play. The Bucs are the best.

If the season ended today, which it doesn’t, the Bucs would get a first-round bye with the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.

The Packers are 3-1-1, and the Seahawks, Lions, 49ers, Rams and Eagles are 4-2. The Bucs already knocked off the 49ers (today) and Seattle (last week).

It’s an incredible testament to how well the Bucs have handled a mess of injuries. Backups have been prepared and it feels like coaches have made a season’s worth of adjustments in only six weeks.

What a day to be a Bucs fan! Enjoy it!

Imagine this…Todd Bowles Coach of the Year.

    It can happen.

  2. Daniel Dream Says:

Bring on the Lions MNF!!! We seem to have had a difficult schedule so far but we’re #1 nonetheless. Bodes well, like meemaw always says

  3. BPBucsfan Says:

If we could even get one mid-level pass rusher to supplement the defense, it would help a lot. Jones had way too many passing yards today against the defense. I’m thrilled we’re 5-1. Actually hope for beating Lions next week.

  4. TheShaz Says:

The official NFL Highlight of the Bucs/49ers game. Whoever did the editing was drunk. All messed up around Bakers run then TD.

  5. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Lavonte David for President

    LFB

  6. Bucky Says:

Lions padded stats vs Bears, Bengals, and beat up Ravens. They played Browns who have the only good defense. I am confident in Bowles, Grizz, and Baker to get it done. Hopefully they get Morrison if Zyon still needs time. Evans can cook the injured Lions secondary if healthy.

Who cares how many passing yards he had? Why does it matter?
If an opposing QB has 500 yards every single game with 0TDs, 2 INTs, and is sacked 6 times, while the defense only gives up 1 TD, holds them to FGs, and holds them to under 20 points….
I will take that every single game from here on out. They would go undefeated.

  8. Aqualung Says:

Would have been better had the Lions won. Now they’re home, pissed and we beat them last year in their crib because DannyC messed up. Which he owned.

Defense will need to have its best game of the Todd era to get the W and that’s only if we get another 30 burger from Baker.

  9. unbelievable Says:

It’s crazy to be 5-1 with all the injuries we have.

Imagine if we ever get relatively healthy? This team is special. LFG!

  10. Jack Sparrow Says:

Football Gods are just smiling with the Bucs right now.

  11. adam from ny Says:

    the bucs are not schmucks…

guys can rest because we are the best…

america’s team yes we can fuggin’ dream…

super bowl bound i gotta go munch my ladies mound

    🙂

(ok i’ll reel it in joe)

  12. Brian in FL Says:

The odds are at some point later in this season that this team will be relatively healthy. This team will be a freaking FORCE when that happens.

  13. Saskbucs Says:

    Hell yeah Joe!

This team is so fun to watch. Aside from the 12 game stretch from bye week to SB win in 2020-2021, this is the best football I have seen the Bucs play since 2001.

It’s hard to be satisfied until the team is healthy and we really see their potential but I am certainly loving being a Bucs fan these days!

  14. Herbiebuc Says:

    Well said David!

  15. LouisFriend Says:

It’s nice to see Lions Pro Bowl safety Brian Branch has voluntarily decided to get suspended for the Bucs game. What kind of an idiot starts a brawl after the game is over?

  16. MadMax Says:

Lovely, just smile and enjoy guus, but dont let it get to your heads…a lot more to go.

  17. MadMax Says:

    Guys, not guus, stupid phone.

  18. adam from ny Says:

do you think TB12 thinks he should have stuck around a few more years, because the bucs talent level on offense is so damn good…it could have meant more titles for tommy

  19. MadMax Says:

Na, Tom isnt Baker with escapable ability and running….and besides, we needed Baker at the right time. We needed Tom and we got him, then it was time to pass the torch.

Btw, I saw a story that we might go after Max Crosby…if true, that would be awesome. Do your old team a solid Tom and work this out with us 🙂

    #1 SEED BABY!!!!!

  20. Aqualung Says:

    Adam from ny —

    We enjoy your poetry. More.

  21. garro Says:

Best record?! If you had told me that we woulld be 5-1 at this point I would have asked what your were smoking. Way better than this fan expected. Throw in all the injuries? Wow!

    Go Bucs!

  22. BucVoyager Says:

We aren’t going after Crosby. We have too many contracts due in the offseason. This isn’t fantasy football

  23. MadMax Says:

^ i know, but Jason knows how to work things….never say never.

  24. First Last Says:

We need someone to replace SVD and another edge rusher.
Could probably get away with picking up another CB too at this rate lol.

  25. LUVMYBUCS Says:

🙌🥳🎉 Damn it feels good to be part of a resilient, battle-hardened organization that refuses to bend, refuses to break.

This is what championship DNA looks like folks.

    Go Bucs!

  26. BucU Says:

” Hopefully they get Morrison if Zyon still needs time””

Who’s this Morrison guy that you speak of?

  27. Beeej Says:

Zyon still had his arm in a sling yesterday, not a good sign

  28. heyjude Says:

    Fantastic day indeed!

It was great to also see Mike and Chris on the sidelines talking it up.

  29. Kenton Smith Says:

heyjude, it’ll be even greater seeing them together on the field talking it up! And it won’t be long now!

  30. Geno711 Says:

    Aqualung.

Dan Campbell did not only mess up that game last year but can tell you Campbell has had way more suspect decisions than Bowles the last two seasons.

Just go to a Lions site.
That 4th down screw ups on the opening drive last night. Because Goff was under center. Postgame, Goff told reporters that Campbell had never heard of the rule that nullified his touchdown catcher center, he had to stop and establish himself as a receiver, which he did not do.

  31. 813BUCBOI Says:

    AQUA

    STFU!!!!!!!!

todd bowles and the bucs arent scared of the lions!!!!!!!!!!!

we’re coming up there pissed too!!!!!!

pissed that haters like you are still on the bandwagon!!!!!

go pick the feathers out your mouth!!!!!!

    5-1!!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  32. Dubcity6 Says:

This is what great coaching, good drafting, and good QB play look and feel like… great time to be a Bucs fan

  33. Marky mark Says:

Todd Bowles for coach of the year.

  34. orlbucfan Says:

Oh man, I’m so proud of my team, I could scream!! And even the refs backed off–somewhat. Not sure about this Lions’ game. Still, Campbell needs to kick Branch’s azz. Talk about stupid, that is stupid! Wonder what the Motown fan blogs have to say?

  35. Not A Bandwagoner Says:

Too funny all these comments in how the Bucs are the top NFL team. I am constantly surprised when they win how great they are and when they lose, they are trash. Good win and a very sharp, well prepared team. Baker is in MVP form 6 weeks in . He is a stud .

  36. Tye Says:

‘What a day to be a Bucs fan! Enjoy it!’

It is amazing to be in a time when the Bucs have an explosive offense and have a 5-1 record! Amazing!!!

Still a lot of football to play…
Its NOT how you start BUT how you finish…
Those of us who have some years behind us remember the days of Gruden and Kiffin…. 9-3 and looking top notch just to lose their last 5 games…
This defense desperately NEEDS to level up to finish this season on top!
