Betting The Bucs (Week 3 Edition)

September 21st, 2025

It’s Joe’s obligation in this space to serve up a quality wager.

And through two games, Joe has a winning bankroll.

Disclaimer: Don’t bet if losing will ruin your day, week, month or year.

Betting The Bucs is a window into Joe’s pregame wagers tied to Tampa Bay. Joe would say it’s all in fun, but this is business. (In-game betting allows for the processing of better information, but Joe cannot take that on in this space.)

Florida sports betting is blessed by the state via Hard Rock Bet, the source of the betting lines here.

Joe focused on season wagers last week (so far, so good) and also lost $50. But Joe made a comeback last week winning $153. So Joe’s up $103 this season.

After scouring every possible wager, Joe is going back to the well with Rachaad White at over 1.5 catches against the Jets. Joe expects the Bucs to look for easy completions and to use a healthy share of two-man backfields — White with Bucky Irving. Two catches feels inevitable. Joe would have bet more but -115 kept the wager at $50.00.

Joe also liked the value on a couple of goofy $1.00 profit-eating longshots: Vita Vea with a sack at +375 and Sean Tucker scoring a third-quarter touchdown at +4000.

Joe could see Tucker getting a second-half series and a kick return or two in the third quarter. He didn’t take a handoff last week and the Bucs surely want to pound the ball today to protect Baker Mayfield.

As for Vea? He’s due and the Jets should struggle with him.

Good luck!

Falling right into the trap, Joe. The gambling industry doesn’t completely own the NFL yet. Please don’t help them along.

  3. Erik with Pilot and Driver™ Says:

Lol. Sean Tucker getting a carry?

    Not on this team!

We don’t know how to use 3 RB’s.

  4. HC Grover Says:

Wow i am tempted! I never wager on anything …..but…I would bet 10 bucks on Tucker and 10 on VV if I knew how, JUST FOR FUN.

  5. 813bucboi Says:

I have the same as joe for r.white..that’s easy money IMO…. but I have vita and reddick going over on the sacks….

Guess it’s just a whirlpool. I must be too old-school to understand.

  7. Lightningvinny Says:

Baker over 18.5 rushing yards ,, both games he’s had over 30

  8. Kennys Says:

Is guard Michael Jordan playing today didn’t see him on the inactive list

  9. Leighroy Says:

Lightningvinny, I’m on your wavelength but I opted against it. Something tells me just as we’re all getting wise to this bet, he’ll scramble less for no apparent reason whatsoever.

If I’ve learned anything in my brief sports betting career, sometimes you gotta zag if your “betting instincts” tell you to zig.

  10. Inwoodjeremy Says:

Nice I took Mayfield rushing over 13.5 yards.

  11. HC Grover Says:

NFL on Fox is about the dumbest tv show ever.

  12. HC Grover Says:

    OH NO Creamsickle Day

  13. Miguel Says:

Nah stay away from this game, don’t bet anything.

  14. Sapp 2 Fundamentally Sound Says:

    HR over .5 sacks
    VV over .5 sacks
    RW over 1.5 receptions
    BUCS Win

  15. PSLBucfan Says:

    Thanks Joe!

  16. Inwoodjeremy Says:

    Thank you Mayfield!

  17. Jeffrey Becker Says:

oof. only one damn target. made sense to me he’d get 3 at least, as well as he’s been playing. bucky 25 carries even though mostly stuffed runs. odd. maybe because his blocking wasn’t needed as much, knew line was sieve and had to throw quickies mostly

  18. Jeffrey Becker Says:

why bet anything else when you can just put everything on saints to fail in every way possible. same with gators. easy peazy lol.

  19. Scotty Mack Says:

“NFL on Fox is about the dumbest tv show ever.”

Clearly, you’ve never watched “The View”.
