Additional stations throughout Florida on the Buccaneers Radio Network can be found here. The game will also be broadcast on SiriusXM Channel 231 (Buccaneers Radio Network feed).
Weather: Nice day in Tampa for footbawl! Tailgaters will enjoy partly sunny skies in the low 80s, per AccuWeather.com. By kickoff, that goes to 89. It may be a bit breezy as gusts are expected to be 15 mph and there will be a less than 10 percent chance of rain. After the game, look for temperatures in the mid-90s with a less than 20 percent chance of rain.
Odds: Per Hard Rock Bet, as of Saturday, Bucs -6.5 (-325); over/under 43.5.
Referees: Adrian Hill and his gang will work today’s game. Road teams in games worked by Clark’s outfit last year won at a 57 percent clip, well above the 2024 league average of road team wins, which was 46 percent. Hill’s outfit seems to call penalties down the middle as home teams received 49.5 percent of the flags thrown per game by Hill’s posse.
Injuries: Jets — Out: QB Justin Fields (concussion), Edge Jermaine Johnson (ankle), RB Kene Nwangwu (hamstring), WR Josh Reynolds (hamstring), DE Jay Tufele (illness). Questionable: S Tony Adams (hip), CB Michael Carter (shoulder), LB Marcelino McCrary-Ball (hamstring). Bucs — Out WR Chris Godwin (ankle), LT Tristan Wirfs (knee). Questionable: WR Emeka Egbuka (hip/groin). NT Vita Vea (foot).
Outlook: It’s white creamsicle throwback day! The Bucs have pulled out the rare white creamsicles (white jerseys, creamsicle trim) for the first time in decades. Today, over 100 former Bucs players and coaches will be honored as the Bucs officially kick off their season-long celebration of 50 years of Bucs football. Let’s hope today is more like 2002 or 2020 than 1976, or most creamsicle throwback days, which end in Bucs losses. To prevent that, Joe thinks the critical key is whether the Bucs can build a decent offensive line with gum and duct tape. The five starters are either unavailable due to injury or are playing out of position (Graham Barton from center to left tackle and Ben Bredeson from left guard to center). Even reserve left guard, not-that Michael Jordan, has a bum knee and may not play. In short, this offensive line is a trainwreck. Joe has never seen the Bucs’ offensive line in such chaos. (It’s so bad it could even be aptly described as KAOS — the international organization of evil.) If the Bucs lose Joe predicts it would be strictly be on the destroyed offensive line. “This Joe” would be shocked if the Bucs can get a run game going today. And passing? If Baker Mayfield tries seven-step drops he will get pummeled. The only potential positive is that the Jets are not the Steers. The Jets defense isn’t that good. And Joe thinks the Bucs may get away with a short passing game and let guys like Bucky Irving and Rachaad White get a bunch of YAC with the ball in their hands. “This Joe” expects a very low-scoring game. If the Bucs can come out with a win with this trainwreck offensive line to go 3-0, that’s one hell of an accomplishment. If anyone would have told you in July the Bucs offensive line would be destroyed before Week 3 even kicked off, yet the Bucs would be 3-0, you’d take that record in a heartbeat.
Fun facts: Backup Jets QB Tyrod Taylor came off the bench to complete 7 of 11 passes with a touchdown in a loss to the Bills last week. … RB Breece Hall has at least 50 scrimmage yards in 12 of his last 13 games. … WR Garrett Wilson has at least 50 receiving yards in eight straight games. … DL Harrison Phillips had eight tackles and a pass defense the last time the Jets played the Bucs in the Antonio Brown Game. … LB Jamien Sherwood had 13 tackles and two tackles for loss last week against Buffalo. He also has at least nine tackles in each of his last eight road games. … CB Sauce Gardner has a pass defensed in five of his last six games. … Bucs QB Baker Mayfield is just one of four quarterbacks (along with Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson and Jordan Love) with at least two touchdown passes and no picks in each of their first two games. … RB Bucky Irving had his sixth career 100-yard scrimmage game (71 yards rushing, 50 yards receiving) against Houston. … WR Mike Evans aims for his seventh game in a row with at least five catches and 10th in a row with at least 50 yards receiving. … OLB YaYa Diaby hopes today is his third home game in a row with a sack. … ILB Lavonte David in his last two games against the Jets has at least two tackles for loss. … S Tykee Smith led the Bucs with six tackles last week against Houston. Smith also had a career-high two tackles for loss and his first career sack last week.

Could watch that video a hundred times. Beautifully put together.
Today the Bucs will wear the creamsicles proud for their honorees, we fans, history, and for the win. Go Bucs!

I don’t usually read these game day posts, so not sure of the criteria, however whichever way it’s diced – shouldn’t some of Mauch, Goedeke, Kancey, Jmac be listed as well? If they are excluded because the injury length is multiple games or IR, would understand it. Just wondering, as the way it appears above, it makes the Bucs injury list look short, and looks like Jets have way more injuries.

Santana:
Injury reports only list guys who are on the active 53-man roster. If someone is on IR they are not on the active roster.

Just curious, Have the buccaneers ever won a throwback game in these cursed uniforms?

Vilma is the most anti-Bucs commentator there is, why do they keep assigning him to Bucs games? He is completely biased against the team, and doesn’t even really try to hide it.
I wonder how different things would have gone with him if the team drafted him out of The U. Two picks after him we got the blocking icon.
