Bucs Make First Cuts

August 24th, 2025

Gone.

[UPDATE: 2:17 p.m.] The cuts have begun.

One unsurprising names is on the Bucs’ first releases as the team needs to shave its roster down to 53 by Tuesday afternoon..

The other is a bit surprising.

Greg Auman of FOX Sports has a list of four players launched. Two of those Bucs fans have heard of: Shilo Sanders and José Ramirez.

Is the release of Sanders a surprise? He was very much a bubble player and in his last chance to impress Bucs types last night, he got run in the first half for throwing a punch.

Not good. Bucs coach Todd Bowles was not very pleased with that stunt. And for a guy who needed to prove he belonged, he did the opposite. Joe liked Sanders and was pulling for him but he sealed his own fate when he threw a punch five feet in front of a zebra.

The other player that mildly surprised Joe is outside linebacker Ramirez.

Ramirez, from Polk County, was drafted in the sixth round in 2023 and had a reputation as a quarterback mauler. He had 20.5 sacks in three seasons at Eastern Michigan.

Ramirez was considered such a good pass rusher in the MAC and such a steal that NFL Network’s stat queen Cynthia Frelund predicted Ramirez would be the best player selected on Day 3 of the 2023 draft.

But as Bowles is wont to do, he took an edge rusher and tried to make him a cover corner. Even Bowles admitted this summer he knows Ramirez can rush the passer, yet this never happened much when people outside of Bucs employees watched. Ramirez had a sack last night and four tackles in the Backup Bowl.

Bucs types raved about Markees Watts and Ramirez giving Tristan Wirfs fits in closed practices where only Bucs employees are able to watch. But these same guys who drove perhaps the best left tackle in football nuts never could get on a field on a Sunday afternoon.

Yes, weird, Joe knows.

[UPDATE: 3:34 p.m.] Desmond Watson has not been cut (yet). Joe got duped by a fake account.

[UPDATE: 1:07 p.m.] Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports receiver Rakim Jarrett is no longer employed by the Bucs.

Some team will pick up Rameriz.

  2. SBucs Says:

Todd just sees the game from a DB’s perspective.

  3. Cybersecurity_intern Says:

If ramire goes to become a starter somewhere else, Bowles needs to get fired.

  4. Steve Says:

    Release this coach!

  5. SB~LV Says:

    28 is a good number
Someone is going to grab it

  6. heyjude Says:

    🥲🥲

Hope the Bills cut Davidson who did the face mask on Shilo. I doubt that will happen though. They have kept him on the practice team for years.

Shilo should at least be on the practice team now. Very surprised about Ramirez too.

  7. TBBucFan Says:

    Sanders was obvious.
Ramirez couldn’t grasp the entire playbook or at least that’s how it looks to me. I’ll never understand why someone expects an OLB to not be able to drop back and cover as well as rush. LT had nine interceptions in his illustrious career. He was a complete player in a 34 defense. Shame on Bowles for expecting an OLB to be able to cover. The man wants an angry beehive style defense not a methodical 43 with two DE rushing the backfield nearly every single play. Like it or not, Parcells and BB had tremendous runs with this style of defense. Both can obviously work but Bowles is committed to his style. Let’s see what a healthy defense looks like this year.

  8. Rob in Land O' Lakes Says:

    <>

Joe, every time I see ‘wont” used in a sentence, I go straight back to Howard Cosell’s exchange with Dandy Don on MNF. Great stuff.

Todd’s gonna Todd. I hope I’m wrong but I see him as the sole reason this team may not get over the hump. Even with injuries, this team has every ability to win the NFC. If we get ANYTHING of a pass rush… stick with press man coverage with one safety high and Todd doesn’t go on a 6 week soft zone excursion in the middle of the season. The fact that Kurt Cousins threw for almost 1000 yards on the Bucs in two games is inexcusable.

  9. Vanessa Anne Says:

I seem to recall reading here once or twice that Shilo showed flashes on a couple of occasions. He was aggressive in the sense that he wasn’t afraid to hit and tackle, and he was communicating with the other rookie DBs early on.

We didn’t read about him in the practice notes as much as we did some of the other rookie defenders.

I’m sure last night did him in.

Joe, I’m with you regarding Jose.

If the guy is capable of giving Tristan fits in practice, why on earth didn’t we see him on Sundays?

    Talk about mixed messages…

The only other thing I can think is we know the coaching staff doesn’t place a high value on the edge rush.

But, if that’s the case, why draft him in the first place?

    Makes no sense…

  10. View from 132 Says:

Give 28 to the highest character guy on the team. Dunn’s number shouldn’t out there acting like a clown.

  11. dbbuc711 Says:

No doubt the Cowboys will sign Shilo

  12. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Ramirez wasn’t all that good in run defense and as an OLB if you cannot secure the edge you cannot see the field.

If David & Evans are the blueprint for the type of impact players we want on this team. A guy like Anthony Nelson is the blueprint for the type of support/role player we need on this team. Being good at one thing might get you reps, but being sound in all phases keeps your spot over the long haul.

I think the Josh Williams can be that type of player for us, dude a was in on a couple of tackles and ran the ball well given the OL.

  13. StormyInFl Says:

Sanders was always a fringe/bubble/long shot player. Anyone believing otherwise wasn’t paying attention.

Acting like a moron was the final nail.

  14. BA’s Red Pen Says:

Tristan Wirfs is probably breathing a sigh of relief knowing he won’t have to get worked over every practice by Ramirez. lol what a pile of nonsense!

  15. Bill in Seminole Says:

Sanders was a long, long shot to make the 53 man roster. Probably did him a favor; he can now offer himself up to another team needing help at that position

  16. Bob Says:

I was not impressed by Chris Braswell’s performance last night. Anybody agree?

  17. Joe Says:

Tristan Wirfs is probably breathing a sigh of relief knowing he won’t have to get worked over every practice by Ramirez.

    ROTFLMAO!!!

  18. Kenton Smith Says:

Bill in Seminole, I have to tell you. Not a single NFL team will sign Shilo. None drafted him. None offered him an udfa contract. Except us. Because Bowles and Licht did it for his dad. He was a poor college player. I like his dad alot but Shilo is just not a great football player. I’m understanding why we gave him a chance, Bowles and Licht have sons and have respect for Deon. But as far as our team is built we couldn’t get him out of that locker room soon enough.

  19. buc4evr Says:

Thinking Ramirez was never used correctly. BTW, can any backup in the secondary tackle?

Sanders may end up on the practice squad.

Braswell needs to end up on the practice squad. lol.

  20. Kgh4life Says:

BS, Ramirez can’t rush the passer, there’s no proof he can, just the words from Bowles and Licht.

  21. BucsBucsBucs Says:

    Who were the other 2?

  22. Mhystc Says:

Shilo was always going to be waived. He’ll either be on our PS, or the browns or cowboys.

  23. dbbcpa Says:

BA’s Red Pen. That was the best comment I have seen in a while. Very funny.

  24. LakelandBuc Says:

Ramirez was all state at Auburndale High School

He’s a ((Situational) pass rusher, but Todd Bowles want his OLB to be flexible. But the thing is, none of his OLB are flexible. Yaya Diaby has ZERO PD as a Buc. Todd Bowles can’t develop OLB for his system. The ones that did succeed in his system ( JPP and Shaq Barrett) came via trade or free agency. It don’t sense for Licht to spend high draft picks on Edge Rushers. Because they will never fit in Bowles scheme.

  25. infomeplease Says:

Ramirez may clear wavers and end up on the practice squad.

  26. Mhystc Says:

Joe what are the chances you think Shilo gets signed to the Bucs PS?

  27. Shak Says:

I like Shilo, didn’t think he had a chance, pretty early on. He shouldn’t have thrown that punch last night, but some of these comments are wild! Dude was grabbing his face mask and yanking it while pushing him! Mike Evans has reacted worse for less! I swear yall get real holier than thou when talking about some people, as you sit in anonymity.

Ramirez was good last night, but I knew it was over for him because he played so long. Bowles needs to stop trying to force fit people to his scheme and start using them for what they do best. That or stop drafting guys that don’t fit! Just wasting assets. Always tries to make people do ish they never do or aren’t that good at! Every player doesn’t have to be able to do multiple things! If they were capable of doing a lot they probably wouldn’t be available later rounds.

I’m still waiting for the Trask news. I think he’s gone, because Bowels never believed in him. Didn’t give him a chance. I bet it wasn’t his idea to sign him again, but some of the head folk believe in Trask more. I felt it was over the minute a guy who had been here 2 weeks played with the starters while a 5 year guy has played with them once in the preseason in all that time (IIRC). That’s and the Joes basically saying it, because they hear things we never will, they know what’s up.

  28. LakelandBuc Says:

There’s too many of our (Homegrown) talent failing in Todd Bowles defensive system.I noticed when Mike. Caldwell, and Larry Foote was calling the defense in the preseason. They got better results than when Bowles was calling the defense

It’s similar to Lovie Smith, taking the defensive play calling from Leslie Frazier.

  29. Half_Sac Says:

Shilo Sanders Best someone until they became disabled. Them filmed for bankruptcy to avoid paying any legal recompense

  30. Fanofdabucs Says:

Ramierz was given plenty of opportunities in practice and the preseason games..mainly against scrub OTs and couldnt generate much of a pass rush and was a liability against the run and mobile QBs. Not NFL material..not surpressing in the least that he was cut.

  31. SlurpandMunchMyRod Says:

Sanders ego bit him. Happens(ed) to all of us. however, when you are on the razors edge, you have to walk away.

  32. Rosadog Says:

Braswell had a good game. He was active and close.
I think he’s looking better IMO!

    Who were the other 2?

    According to nfl.com

    QB Ryan Pratt
    WR Rakim Jarrett
    WR Jaden Smith*
    S Shilo Sanders

  34. Michael Says:

I know he had a head injury, but do you think the Bucs could take a look at OG/OT Gareth Warren let go by the Steelers? Go Bucs

  35. ModHairKen Says:

“Joe liked Sanders and was hoping for him but he sealed his own fate when he threw a punch five feet in front of a zebra.“

Could not agree more. Wanted him to succeed. His entire life since 16 has been shrouded in questions because of his violent attack in high school.

Three games in, he’s proven he cannot control his impulses. That is not a good fit for this team.

What kind of message would it send if a bubble player showed his ass and cost the team because of his selfish acts and Bowles and Licht let him stay?

  36. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

We all know why Shilo got a shot in the NFL after that little hassle he had but doesn’t have the skills to succeed physical or mental. He could be a boxer because that punch he landed on that player would’ve knocked him out if not for his helmet. Yet a few try to say he didn’t even hit the guy when it was right there on video.

  37. Mhystc Says:

Joe you fell for the fake Desmond Watson tweet, according to Greg Auman.

  38. mj Says:

Shilo had a couple bad plays before he got ejected also, just dumb mistakes he wasn’t playing good either

  39. Coburn Says:

Jarrett flashed at times last year, but quiet this year. Generally though none of these will be a real loss and I don’t expect any of them to flourish elsewhere like some suggest

  40. HC Grover Says:

    Release Bowles.

  41. Mike S Says:

Surprised Bowles didn’t cut Trask first chance he got. He never respected his talent and wants him gone. Licht probably pulling back the reigns saying hey lets try and get a draft pick for him.

  42. Tbbucs3 Says:

The Traskies are worse the the Sanders cult

  43. Coconut Doughnut Says:

    Shiloh isn’t NFL talent

  44. Mike S Says:

Click my name. Trask will be going to the Raiders. He will be the starter there by mid season.

  45. Whatevs Says:

And they will be 2-7. THA RAAAIIDDAAAS

  46. rrsrq Says:

Ramirez issue was he couldn’t cover in the flats… too many times last night he was not in containment because he was freaking out in coverage. Unfortunately he and JTS are probably better in other schemes that actually rush the passer

  47. Rod Munch Says:

Sanders really hurt himself with the second of his two punches. I think the first punch probably either doesn’t get called or is offsetting, but that 2nd big round house was so obvious and so stupid, I think that instant got him off the main roster. Still he might make the PS, it’s not like they have good options. People talking about Wisdom making plays – what I saw him do was miss a big tackle and look slow. Sanders at least looks the part of an NFL player, his speed seemed to be good enough and he seems big enough. I hope after a scare perhaps they bring him back to the PS, but I won’t be heartbroken if not, but he’s one of the few guys deep on the roster who looks the part to me, which I think might give him a chance down the road to make the team as opposed to smaller or slower guys who you can just look at and know they’ll never do anything in the NFL.

    ———–

I have a brilliant solution for this that I’m willing to license to the Buccaneers — and since I’ve already copywritten the idea I don’t mind sharing as I’m very litigious.

Here’s what you do… if you got a guy who is good at one thing, and not good at another thing… use him in ways that take advantage of what he’s good at! I know, right, duh – it’s right there, and yet a complete original idea at the same time. So if you got a guy who is good as a pass rusher, but stinks in cover … well, use him as a pass rusher and not in coverage! Brillant.

  49. Ugo Says:

Mike S I was going to write a whole detailed analysis of how wrong your take is on so many level but then I figured why waste time writing a logical analysis in response to such a bad and.misguided (biased) take. You’re making Dave Pear and Rod Munch look well-balanced with their outlandish takes.
So instead my answer to you is simply this : HAHAHAHAHA… BWHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  50. Joe Says:

Here’s what you do… if you got a guy who is good at one thing, and not good at another thing… use him in ways that take advantage of what he’s good at!

    Imagine.

  51. Couch Fan Says:

Its not easy losing weight especially at that size I would imagine. I hope the young man succeeds in losing it and lives a long healthy life.

  52. infomeplease Says:

Jarrett’s release is understandable. If you’re a receiver in the NFL you have to catch the ball when your number is called. Lately, he has done been doing that consistently.

  53. Farewell Shilo - Wish you well Says:

Hey Shilo, you were always a long shot to make the team. On a tryout as a favor to your agent, you did pretty well. I respect the way you carried yourself and you a talented young professional, and wish you luck landing somewhere. I’m 100% confident you can contribute to an NFL team and even flourish under the right circumstances. The last preseason game was unfortunate. Sorry the press is reporting on it one sidedly (In my opinion). I found an article in SI that called out Zac Davidson for dirty play. I’m glad someone did. It also looks like the incident was added to Mr. Davidson’s wikipedia page here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zach_Davidson#Controversies. Hope you come back to Tampa when you’re in town and check out all the good eateries!

  54. infomeplease Says:

Mike S, you won’t get a draft pick for Trask. He has never started a NFL game in 5 seasons! To every GM in the NFL that means a lot!!!! He’ll end up on the practice squad if he’s lucky.

  55. FrontFour Says:

For all the hype that Ramirez and Watts are great pass rushers I’ve never seen it. Everybody knocking on TB for not using the guys right but in preseason they both look average at best – regardless of whether it’s rushing the passer, run defense or the dreaded dropping into coverage. Both have been given plenty of time to demonstrate enough progress and production for them to be kept around. Just not seeing it from either.

  56. BucfanDMV Says:

Really suprised about Ramirez, thought he did enough especially with our struggle to get sacks … hopefully he’s able to land with someone else as with Sanders. I just don’t understand how some people are so confident with our secondary outside of Winfield. I agree Sanders was a long shot but let’s not act like our safety play has been stellar at all.

  57. infomeplease Says:

DT Mike Green was also cut!

  58. deez Says:

    @ Rod Munich

right! like wisdom and Merriweather was worse and folks talking about shilo. i just wished jj Roberts didnt get hurt.

  59. Joe Says:

    Jarrett’s release is understandable.

He got few targets with the second team offense, much less than Sterling Shepard, Tez Johnson or Ryan Miller.

When a receiver isn’t getting many targets with backups, that’s a bad sign.

That’s why Joe doesn’t pay close attention to the third team/camp meat players. If they can’t make a dent with the second team, unless they are superior special teams players, they are likely doomed.

  60. Crickett Baker Says:

Shilo was given every opportunity before the cake was iced. He slipped and fell down at least once. He missed tackles. I think he made one and was given tons of play time. He just is not ready for the NFL.

  61. Crickett Baker Says:

O, I forgot. I think he had a PI call against him, too.

  62. #99 the big fella Says:

Always going to be one idiot who says cut Bowles

  63. One Idiot Says:

Cut Bowles. Worst off season move was keeping him as HC. It will doom this insanely talented team to a first round playoff loss… if they are lucky.

  64. Whatevs Says:

No surprises yet. The big one will come Tuesday 🙂

  65. Whatevs Says:

If a team wants Trask and his contract before the open market, they will give up a 6th for Trask and a 7th.

  66. Tom R Says:

    Michael Bennet 2.0

  67. Deez Says:

    @Crickett Baker

So shilo was the only person that missed tackles, what about wisdom and decor merriwether???? They looked even worse and against scrubs.

  68. buc4evr Says:

Owen Wright and Avery were cut. Hope the can sign Owen to the practice squad, he looked good in the preseason. Thought Avery looked ok in his limited time here.

  69. BigBoiBuc Says:

ESPN reports we have cut QB Ryan Pratt? Wtf??? And a poster above copied it like a sheep! How about Michael Pratt…

  70. BigMacAttack Says:

I’m sure there be a couple potential cuts made of players that should have been kept. It’s happening on every good NFL team. Was Ramirez better than Braswell? Maybe but early vs late pick cuts may get someone in mgmt bounced. There’s politics played in every organization, not just football. They should have cut Joe Tryon after his very first preseason game. He was junk and never improved. I just can’t get too worked up about cuts because we all knew before the draft that the team was only looking for a handful of players. Some of the new guys are muscling out previous bubble guys. It is what it is, so get over it already.

  71. gotbbucs Says:

Who, as an outside linebacker, has Bowles and Co. gotten as a rookie developed into a good pass rusher?
Here’s another question. What defensive player since Bowles got here have the Bucs drafted or signed as a free agent that has continued to develop and get better after their third year in the Bowles defensive system?

  72. Shilo Sanders Says:

    I literally ain’t do anything… onto Atlanta

  73. David Says:

Shiloh was getting cut no matter what. Seems like a decent player, but he’s just too slow.
As for Ramirez, I don’t believe any of it. If he was any good at rushing the passer, he’d still be here. He flashed a couple times in preseason games against a bunch of back ups. Nothing more.
Rakim Jarrett is not a surprise. Miller & Tez have outplayed him.
I would not be surprised if Palmer is cut as well. He’s fighting Greene for a spot with

  74. DBS Says:

Pratt reached an injury settlement and was waived. That was 3 days ago.

  75. IrishTony Says:

Did they cut lead legs Trask yet? Why would you bring in a veteran to place him on the practice squad? Cut Trask and let him try to win a back up role somewhere else.

  76. IrishTony Says:

Looks like it’s Evans, Ebuka, Shepherd, Miller, Tez, and Palmer

  77. Scotty Mack Says:

I saw practically nothing from Sanders in any preseason game to get excited about. The only reason to put him on the practice squad would be to keep the buzz alive. Ramirez never panned out and is no major loss. I have no clue who the other two mentioned in the Fox Sports article even are.

If Garafolo is correct, Rakim Jarrett is no surprise, either. He’s one of many receivers that were outshone by others in a pretty stacked receivers room.

  78. Scotty Mack Says:

Rod Munch said “So if you got a guy who is good as a pass rusher, but stinks in cover … well, use him as a pass rusher and not in coverage”.

So, all an O.C. or QB who can audible needs to see is that dude is on the field and they know who is not going to be covered by the LB. Brilliant!

  79. Scotty Mack Says:

Joe said: “When a receiver isn’t getting many targets with backups, that’s a bad sign.”

Yeah, it’s a sign that they aren’t able to shake the defender and get open. Even brand new Tez Johnson showed he can do that with regularity.

  80. Scotty Mack Says:

Who were the other two that were cut?

According to the link Joe provided at the very beginning of the post, it was DL Eric Banks and DL Dvon J-Thomas

Hopefully, the team can withstand those two earth shattering cuts.

  81. firethecannons Says:

Better to not have anyone then have Shiloh, penalty magnet

  82. First Last Says:

Kyle Trask to the raiders, mark my words

  83. Scotty Mack Says:

Not sure why so many have already decided Trask is gone.

For the record, I don’t think he has a shot in heck of ever becoming even a low tier starter. He’s a backup, at best. That said, I’d put my money on him being QB2 right now by a large margin over Teddy B.

I have to believe that Trask would know the system far better than Bridgewater at this point in time. Because of his experience in multiple systems and relatively decent record considering the circumstances he was in, that could change sometime later on the season.

  84. Daniel Dream Says:

If Ramirez really is ready to contribute at all, the Browns will sign him because their defense has already lost a bunch of depth due to injury and unforseen shizzy, and their LB room has been really hit hard by that. If we really do cut Palmer, i think Cleveland amongst other teams will be beating down his door to sign him. The same might be said of Jarret who i personally thought had a lot of potential- but our WR room is so, so, so stacked, he’s never going to have chance to develop here, obviously. The fact I hear some talk of Palmer on the bubble attests to that. This, I believe, is the best group of WRs possibly ever. I’m excited to see this offense.

Did I miss something about Trask? I see all these comments about cutting him. Did we get another QB when i wasn’t paying attention? You got to have a decent back-up QB, at least. Trask has done fine when called upon, what’s the issue? Why in the world would we cut or trade him for a low pick? Is someone else outplaying him at camp that I somehow missed, because we’re going to need another back-up QB if we cut him? I’m very confused…

  85. Daniel Dream Says:

yesterday seems like it was not a good day for the Sanders family, I feel, I’m finding myself feeling sympathy for that

    “First Last Says:

Kyle Trask to the raiders, mark my words”

Lol. They didn’t want him when they could have had him free and clear during free agency. After his underwhelming offseason, I doubt anything has changed. There’s much better options available – Tyler Huntley, Ryan Tannehill… Jameis will likely shake loose in NY.

  88. Daniel Dream Says:

oh yeah, Bridgewater, i keep forgetting we got him because i keep forgetting he exists… isn’t he like almost as old as i am by now? I remember once upon a time he was a thing and then, frankly nothing else about him since. I figured that dude retired ages ago, then we sign him for camp, I never took that seriously, i thought he was just here as a camp QB. Was I mistaken? I’m not all plussed about it, we’re only talking about back-up, but I’m curious because I honestly didn’t expect Bridgewater was actually in competition for the back-up spot.

  89. IrishTony Says:

    @DanielDream
No they haven’t cut Trask but I’m with the Joes and Ira vs other Bucs’ media outlets the decision to go with Teddy B as the backup has already been made meaning Trask is heading to the practice squad which means somebody will pick him up or I’m guessing he’ll asked to be cut.

  90. IrishTony Says:

    @DanielDreams
I’m with the Joes and Ira the decision to go with Bridgewater as the backup has already been made.

  91. Daniel Dream Says:

@StormyInFl OMG why is Jamies still playing? Why does anyone sign him? He can’t possibly win in the NFL, he’s shown that because of all the INTs, why does anyone think that’s ever going to change when it never does?

  92. IrishTony Says:

I’m sorry but what they’re realizing is that despite his lack of familiarity with the playbook Bridgewater is a savvy veteran who can make much quicker reads. Trask still struggles with his progressions. Most can see that.

  93. Daniel Dream Says:

@IrishTony If that is the expert analysis I’m 100% for it. I remember once upon a time, Bridgewater was a very good QB. If he still has something and he’s the strongest back up option, for sure go with him. I still might keep Trask on the PS, because better safe than sorry (if he is eligible for it)

  94. Mveal2006 Says:

David walker and Ramirez both had hype. Im not sure Hassan will do much either.

Completion rates are going up but yards per pass play are going down per Google.

If you know the qb is gonna throw short, you must prioritize yac and con tain running qbs. 11 million on Hassan is only wise if he is a coverage upgrade. Hence Ramirez has a talent only valuable in rarer circumstances.

i think it’s a mind game with the sanders cut…

they maybe cut him early to sort of suggest he sucks to the league and is like the first guy you boot off your roster…

and after the punches last night other teams will be like “we don’t need the drama”…

if they hung onto him until tuesday morning, essentially the bucs are playing it like he’s kind of good and a tough cut…

i think they’re hoping the “early type mega scrub cut” and fighting make him look like doo doo and the they can pull him back onto the PS…

sure a scolding is in order for the punches, but it’s not enough to cut anyone…multiple offenses and sure, you might get booted from any team…

i think he gets scooped up regardless…a lot of teams simply need to add a player for star power or entertainment…even pairing him back up with his brother is a logical option

Ramirez will go get 8 or 10 sacks for a real coach who doesn’t try to make every player play every position.

    Sorry. Fire Bowles now.

Shiloh was getting cut no matter what. Seems like a decent player, but he’s just too slow.

    ——

I don’t know, to my eye he looked fast enough – I’d say even quick on the blitzes, certainly faster on the field than the other scrub options they have at depth at safety. To be clear, I’m talking about the practice squad level guys, not the regular roster – but to me, Sanders seemed to have the size and speed you’d need to at least give yourself a chance to one day make the main squad. But I’m not going to get worked up about it either way.

Rod Munch said “So if you got a guy who is good as a pass rusher, but stinks in cover … well, use him as a pass rusher and not in coverage”.

So, all an O.C. or QB who can audible needs to see is that dude is on the field and they know who is not going to be covered by the LB. Brilliant!

This is the logic that has Vita dropping into coverage … because they’ll never see it coming!

Both Sanders are prima Donna knuckleheads. The Brown’s tolerate idiots like Watson at their demise. Then they trade the high character guys. Buccaneers do the opposite.

  100. Honest Abe Says:

The fact is that Shilo Sanders is not very good! Bucs don’t need him. As for undertheBridgewater, there’s a reason he’s been out of the league for a couple years and traveled to numerous teams his last couple years in the league. The Bucs coaches know what they need to win and those two guys won’t make them better. UndertheBridgewater said he wants to coach high school but the state stopped him. Leave him rest. Go Bucs!

  101. Harold Says:

Get rid of Kyle Trash. Worst QB stiff I have ever seen. No trade value. Cut the losses while you can. I’d rather have no backup. Bridgewater is adeqaute enough. Or, pick up someone else’s QB Stiff. Better than the stiff we have……….

And then there was no Trask……..
