Cade Otton Returns To Practice

August 11th, 2025

Happy moment for the Bucs offense. Starting tight end Cade Otton was back on the practice field today, his first practice this month. Otton had a hamstring injury.

Joe sure hopes all the hamstring issues the Bucs have now are two-weekers like Otton’s.

    GO BUCS!!!!

  2. LakelandBuc Says:

The Bucs other TEs didn’t step up while Otton was out

I’m not impressed with the Bucs TEs as a unit
I hope they don’t keep 4 this season
Because we will have to cut better players than them

  3. JimBobBuc Says:

Limit Otton’s snaps and don’t risk his availability for week one.

  4. Woodman Says:

WTF Didn’t step up? We had one pre season game. I think we have very good TE room and they will probably keep all 4 since they were all on the team last year.

I have a sore hamstring just thinking about the Bucs lame conditioning staff.

  6. LakelandBuc Says:

They didn’t take advantage of their opportunities during camp

The Bucs can do better at the TE position, a lot better

Glad he is back, Culp didn’t look good blocking on the preseason game. I mean he looked timid. The dude is yuuge so he should really be trying to get up in their face but he doesn’t.

Their cleats are too long in addition to not warming up or stretching enough prior to playing. They experience this every season and the coaches have not made any adjustments.

    More great news!

    California…
I guess you have some insider knowledge the rest of us don’t have? Equipment staff is incompetent and putting the wrong kind of cleats on the players, huh? That’s a pretty big scoop you have there for us. Didn’t realize you worked for the buccaneers from California. Telecommuting quality control training and equipment specialist for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wish I had that job! Sounds sweet, I’m jealous of you.

I agree with some of California comment. I am a former long distance runner in HS and College. Knowledge indicated that if you do not warm-up and stretch long enough, then “hamstring, groin and calf injuries will occur. I have doubt that the correct emphasis is being giving by the coaching and training staff. These type of injuries occur in moments of exertion and sudden physical stress. Proper warm-up and stretching came help prevent many of these type of injuries. Bucs Coaching and Training staff need to address pre-practice preparation in conditioning. This should be a season long awareness to help prevent pass seasons hamstring/groin injury occurrences. If you watch the players during their warm-ups, you can see them half heartedly perform the exercise. The season is long, staff (Coaching and Training) need to pay more attention to the details of their conditioning. I want to see the Bucs in the Post Season. So hope the Bucs have the same conviction. Go Bucs. Go Bucs

Culp isn’t known for his blocking, he’s still working on that aspect. Culp is known for his speed and receiving skills. Ko Klief is the pure blocking TE. I don’t think Bucs TEs are bad, just that a couple of them are specialists. No team has, or can afford, 3 Rob Gronkowskys on the roster.

  13. David Says:

Got to love the idiots who think it’s the conditioning staff in Tampa causing bad hamstrings. LOL. It’s called heat and humidity. Most of the time it feels worse here than it does Miami.

Hamstring issues have been going on for the couple decades I’ve been in Tampa. Pretty sure it’s not the same person who’s just got a blind spot to hamstrings.

Interesting group. Otten and Durham basically the same type player regarding both catching and blocking well. Culp obviously the fastest. Ko obviously the blocker. Noticed TE2, TE3 and TE4 all play a lot of special teams. I like the group. No superstar but not sure a superstar would get a lot of touches in this
Offense. Should keep all 4 IMO
