Bucs Will Wear Orange Against The Falcons
June 24th, 2025Creamsicles are coming back in December.
Bucs fans seem to love when Tampa Bay wears its orange gear. One might think management would consider going to the “Creamsicles” full-time, but that’s a story for another day.
In 2025, the Bucs will wear the Creamsicle gear for one home game. And it should be a critical one.
On Thursday Night Football on Dec. 11 against the Falcons, the Bucs will revel in their iconic uniforms and Publix will help the team deliver an orange Bucs t-shirt giveaway. All fans will be encouraged to wear creamsicle looking attire.
The Joe typing here isn’t a big uniform guy. As long as they don’t look like the embarrassing Bucs uniforms from 2014 through 2019, Joe’s fine.
Joe hopes whomever at One Buc Palace thought those rags looked good or inspiring was re-assigned to a job in the team cafeteria, or at least had training to understand that sometimes being a yes man can be destructive and borderline criminal.

Should use Brady’s face as the pirate. Classic! Go Bowles!
June 24th, 2025 at 3:21 pm
Bring on the creams!
June 24th, 2025 at 3:21 pm
Not good, Bucs almost always lose in these Unis.
June 24th, 2025 at 3:25 pm
Very glad it is NOT for our first game. We lose when we wear th orange uniform. We should wear what works more often. Maybe our players are motivated when wearing orange–not sure but again not on the 1st game!
June 24th, 2025 at 3:25 pm
not motivated in orange
June 24th, 2025 at 3:26 pm
I wonder if they will ever wear the throwback white jerseys .. That would be a good alternative to the orange creamsicle ones all the time!

A F-ING THURSDAY NIGHT GAME VS THE FALCONS
The Bucs NEVER win that game?
Who are the idiots in marketing that don’t know the Bucs history and keep scheduling games they always lose for the orange jerseys. Idiots.
June 24th, 2025 at 3:27 pm
firethecannons – it’s the not the jerseys, it’s the match-ups. The morons in marketing who have zero knowledge of football or history keep picking matchups the Bucs always lose. The color orange isn’t the issue.
June 24th, 2025 at 3:35 pm
I remember the joy and elation which occurred in the fan base when the bucs went to the pewter and red uniforms 25+ years ago. I say never go back to creamsicle.
June 24th, 2025 at 3:54 pm
Ha! I was going to say go back full time but you beat me to it.
June 24th, 2025 at 4:00 pm
Just read your posts Rod Munch. Thinking now about doubling my bets for that game. I believe you’re wrong over half the time. That’s just the kicker I needed!
June 24th, 2025 at 4:15 pm
Here come the idiotic comments about a uniform impacting the way the team plays
June 24th, 2025 at 4:15 pm
Why?
June 24th, 2025 at 4:17 pm
Here’s one fan who doesn’t like the orange uniforms. Could care less if we ever see those again. They represent loosing and that stupid pirate or whatever he is….
June 24th, 2025 at 4:36 pm
The older fans who went through the 80s and early 90s watching the Bucs, which was a worst period than the lost decade, aren’t as crazy about the creamsicle as younger fans who didn’t experience those years.
Have a hatnwith the Bucco Bruce logo on it thats kind of cool but I don’t like the Bucs to playing in anything but pewter, red or white.
The all pewter unis are kind of cool. Let’s do a mash up with all pewter and bucco Bruce on the helmet. LOL
June 24th, 2025 at 5:01 pm
They never win night games, and they never win creamsicle games. So maybe if they combine them, the two negatives will cancel out. Like when you multiply
-2 and -2 you get 4.
June 24th, 2025 at 5:02 pm
I like the throwback uniforms, they have that classic NFL vibe like no other team. Helmets are awesome and the orange was a representative of Florida’s once thriving citrus industries. Winning will never be associated with those uniforms until they win more SBs with them than the current alternate. That seems highly unlikely but a nice tribute to nostalgia.
June 24th, 2025 at 5:25 pm
The only game we should’ve worn these uniforms is at Seattle who we came into the league with in 1976 to celebrate our 50th season together
BUT – these games are nothing but merch money grabs and the Glazers want their shot at the booty.

JTHV
Great point..

Been looking for a #12 Doug Williams jersey, and on another note, those alarm clock jerseys ruined Jameis Winston. They came with him and disappeared with him.

This picture is barf inducing, sweet uni’s but those are 2 Mascots from our cellar dweller years.
June 24th, 2025 at 5:52 pm
Loss
June 24th, 2025 at 6:20 pm
I hate the creamsicles. Reminds me of losing.
June 24th, 2025 at 6:23 pm
@Irishmist I like the way you think.
June 24th, 2025 at 6:29 pm
The Hardy/Rhett/Dilfer era orange pants/white jerseys are awesome. Would like to see red pants/white jerseys with our current scheme.
June 24th, 2025 at 7:10 pm
They need to trash those creamsicles. They get whooped like the Hugh Culverhouse Bucs everytime they wear that uniform.
June 24th, 2025 at 7:20 pm
Some of we west coasters were pretty happy to have a new Bucs team in ‘76. Prior, we had to root for Miami, the only Florida team at the time. Miami just seemed an extension of New York. Bucco Bruce was badder tougher than Flipper… like Errol Flynn was tough lol. Yeah, the Bucs were hard to love in the creamsicle years, but I still like the uniforms and have still hung in there as a fan.
BTY… Creamsicles were a big deal summer treat to a kid growing up in Fla during the 1960s. Back in those days, many of us had no air conditioning.
June 24th, 2025 at 8:34 pm
Oh well this is actually smart and you have to get everyone in the building wearing orange because of Atlanta’s color scheme. That means the Glazers need to be at the gates handing out shirts
June 24th, 2025 at 8:34 pm
WTF, why be associate with those uniforms? They are so related to losing in this Tampa Bay area? They suck please don’t if they do count the Falcons as a loss.
June 24th, 2025 at 9:00 pm
My annual post to say I hate these uniforms and wish they would stop with this retro nonsense. The orange Bucs were historically terrible and owned by a racist pig.
June 24th, 2025 at 9:07 pm
Should have brought them back when they went to Seattle to play the Hawks. Same year they came in together and the Hawks could have worn theirs. Good ole throw back game with both teams doing their 50 years. Come on NFL! You didn’t just so happen to make this matchup and didn’t realize both are 50 years. Break out the gear for it
June 24th, 2025 at 9:49 pm
I was hoping since its the 50th anniversary season that the Bucs would wear creamsicles more than once in 2025. They are allowed to wear “alternate” uniforms in up to 4 games this season….
So why not wear Orange top/white pants for the late Falcons game. White jersey and white pants for another early home game (my favorite look from back in the day) – both with the Bucco Bruce helmet – then another game with all pewter unis and the current helmet….
C’mon Bucs – get on board with showing different looks more often which the league is obviously encouraging now….
June 24th, 2025 at 11:06 pm
Losing every creamsicle game is a great reason to not do any more.
Todd isn’t able to offset the 10 point negative differential those awful unis cause.
June 25th, 2025 at 12:45 am
Creamsicle is the look of a bobo/bush league team…..
The look of losers!
June 25th, 2025 at 2:03 am
LOVE the Creamsicles! Fan since ’78.
1. Chargers powder blue
2. Creamsicle
June 25th, 2025 at 2:16 am
joe – you know i always have lengthy feedback when it comes to uni discussions 🙂
June 25th, 2025 at 2:35 am
Should have modernized the throwback uniforms (made bruce look tough, tweak the orange color) instead of making it exactly the same look as the loser years.
June 25th, 2025 at 2:49 am
I wish the Bucs would simply retire the creamsicles forever and put out a statement that this has been done and that Bucco Bruce has permanently retired and is enjoying his retirement in Key West with his partner.
