Supposed to be getting 5 inches of rain thru tomorrow morning and I think we’re almost there. Me and the old hound are pretty much housebound so I think we might relisten to a couple of the older breakdowns after this. Todd Bowles did say that you need points to win. DR (Defense Rules) would probably throw a gasket discussing a receiver with our first choice. Sean, you are correct we are deep at receiver but honestly we’re injury prone and getting older at the position. It would have to be a very special player. We’re not getting Hunter. But to think Emeka, T-Mac, and Golden are still there at 19? Golden is the guy. Plays drums at his church and seems to be a great guy. Best speed in the draft and return man extraordinaire. I know, how we gonna get him the ball? Believe me, with talent like his we will find a way. I sure wouldn’t bet the house on us not going out on a limb for him. Then defense the rest of the draft DR, I promise!

I generally agree with Sean on TMac.
Not as fast as ME. He has some size and weight.
Let’s look further at the size comparison as well.
Mike Evans coming out to the draft.
6 foot 5 inches
35 1/8 inch arm length. That is in the 92 percentile of all NFL players but 99th percentile for receivers. Evans’ arms are over two standard deviations longer than the average wide receiver’s.
Wingspan — 82 inches — again for receivers Mike’s wingspan is in the 99th percentile.
Brian Thomas who I was pushing as a 1st round pick last year.
He has 32 3/4 inch arms (66%) and
has a 79 1/4 wing span (82)
While this year
Tetairoa McMillan
His 31 1/2-inch arm length places him in just the 38th percentile and
his 78-inch wingspan is in the 65th percentile.
So when guys try to act like there is a comparison to Mike. There is not.
He is a freak of nature — like Derrick Henry – like Tristan Wirfs.

Would be a thing of beauty, If we trade back in the 1st and pick up a 2nd;
and are able to draft Golden or Noel, as well as Starks or Watts, and a top CB like Revel Jr., Thomas, or Porter with our 1st 3 picks

Great job as usual, Mr. Sean Sullivan. With the Bucs’ heavy needs on defense this year, I was more interested in your late round sleepers. I also think there will be some veteran FA’a cut after the draft.
Fortunately the Bucs are pretty strong on offense relatively speaking so with the exception of another developmental swing tackle which could be taken in the 5th or 7th round, I’d like to see the Bucs add a DT, ILB, S, CB, EDGE with their first 5 picks in rounds 1-5.

geno711, “So when guys try to act like there is a comparison to Mike. There is not.” geno711 Mike is setting up to have a great year. Hope we get to watch him for several more years. He was better after he came back from the hamstring in 2024 than he’s been the 2 years I’ve been watching him. Well, every bit as good anyway. Only time I’ve seen Baker shook up since he’s been here was when Mikes injury happened against Baltimore. No wonder, I don’t think we won another game until Mike got back.
