I know a lot have been complaining about BL, and earlier in this game when they ran it a third timesin a row after two successful runs I was ready to put him on a guillotine but… When the players execute and they get 4-5 yards a pop and actually get into third and short, this is what happens. Everything is opening up.

Then the Bucs just increased prices to the point that all the loud white trash can’t afford to go anymore, certainly can’t afford to drink, so you get much more mild crowds.
With that said, the crowd at the old Tampa Stadium, when you got it packed with 75k, tons of cheap seats, (fairly) cheap beer, that place was nuts. Chicks getting topless, beers flying at opposing fans, lots of fights in the stands, it was fun.

Yes, we’re at the 3, but you’re not giving your guys any chance at winning when they put more defenders in the hole than you have blocking. And yes, if you’re going outside, and the player has a chance to avoid someone, maybe you can do something, but up the middle, 99% of the time, that’s maybe, 1 yard.

Attacking downfield is how you get points, and yes, you can use the run game to set that up, but outside of series this entire season, has Leftwich shown that he’ll actually use the run to setup anything? No, that idiot uses the run to setup the run, thinking that people won’t believe that any NFL OC would run on 1st down 19 conservative times in a row.

Winfield is easily the best player on this defense, missing him has been huge. Hicks being in there is a big improvement, just in that you’re not throwing an undersized rookie from a small school out there, who clearly isn’t ready yet (most rookie d-lineman are not ready).
JTS has looked good coming from the edge. And when they let White blitz up the middle, and not play in space where he’s terrible, he’s an ALL-PRO player. They literally should blitz him every single play up the middle, run or pass, he’s just disruptive

Buccaneer Bonzai – It wasn’t entertaining, it was a stupid play the first time, and an incredibly stupid play the 2nd time, in particular when it’s only a few plays later. Yes, as everyone saw on TV, they didn’t cover Brady the first time. Defenses don’t do make that same mistake twice.

Prevent the entire series. Not one blitz that entire sequence of plays. Bowles knows or should know you must continue sending linebackers on each play. Especially against Geno Smith. Bowles is not making correct defensive calls on that series. Must apply weak side pressure against Geno to create a quick release. Inside linebacker will stay home on Smith as robber.

I didn’t know anything about White until after we drafted him, then went and watched his college tape, the guy jumps off the tape as someone who just looks like he’d be a great NFL RB. Big thing is that he’s a natural pass catcher, then he’s a patient runner, Bell style. He had a rough start, but this is the guy I saw on tape. Surprised only that they’re not using him more on 3rd down, but maybe he’s still not a good pass blocker.

Bring back the lawn chairs – Geno looked terrible until the Bucs went to that soft zone / prevent defense. I can explain to you exactly why, and when, in this game, that Geno started to play well, it’s when he was under no pressure and the defense, by design, just had guys standing around.
