Antonio Brown Using A Crutch

October 27th, 2021

Bad look, bad outlook.

UPDATED: 1:11 p.m. Stomach-pain-inducing scene at One Buc Palace this morning.

And it continued into the afternoon.

As the Bucs meandered to the practice field for morning warmups, also known as the 30-minute, media-viewing period, intrepid local TV sports reporter and Joe’s good friend Rock Riley caught furniture-tossing, bicycle-throwing receiver Antonio Brown using a crutch while he chatted with teammate Richard Sherman.

Joe isn’t sure how many times a guy used a crutch on a Wednesday and then played four days later. Joe cannot tell from the video below if Brown is in a boot or not.

Brown has an injured ankle and did not play Sunday against the Bears.

After practice Bucco Bruce Arians said Brown could be out weeks and noted Brown’s sprained ankle is near his heel, which Joe assumes makes it more unique.

With that news, there’s certainly no reason to rush Brown out onto the fake and hard turf at the Superdome before a bye week. Hopefully, he can be ready for the Nov. 14 road trip to face WTF in Washington.

To try to lessen the blow of Brown using a crutch, Riley also shared that foot-rubbing, car-littering film guru Rob Gronkowski was seen warming up with his helmet. So that’s a very good sign.

Hope he didn’t freeze his feet again.

Seriously, I hope he will be back soon. I also hope he waits until he is fully healed, it is tough when you think you are in shape and find it coming apart.

  2. Richard Dickson Says:

He doesn’t seem to be leaning on the crutch for support there, so he’s able to put enough weight on it to stand.

  3. Joe Says:

Hope he didn’t freeze his feet again.

    ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forgot all about that. May have been the wildest story ever heard! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  4. Bucs Win Says:

With the bye coming up, give AB the Ain’ts game off so he can get healed up for the stretch run and playoffs. We’re fine offensively.

  5. SlyPirate Says:

AB is a homerun threat. Gronk is a monster.

They don’t need either until Buffalo so use the time to heal up.

  6. MadMax Says:

No boot from what i see. But still, just let him heal. We got this aints game with the guys injured needing to heal….Trust me, we got this….Famous Jameis INT’s all over the place!

  7. PassingThru Says:

Gronk is at practice. We’re not going to see Brown until after the bye.

  8. Listnfrmafar Says:

How do you go from ankle sprain to crutches? Us it a high ankle sprain?

  9. PassingThru Says:

Don’t go there, Listnfrmafar. Yes crutches are commonly seen with high ankle sprains, and generally speaking anything from grade two to grade three and your garden variety ankle sprains. But I don’t see a boot, so that’s a positive.

  10. Jerry Says:

Just because they are practicing doesnt mean they will definitely play. But it is encouraging. AB looks like the only negative news right now. And a lot of these guys may certainly be back after the bye.

It’s why I highly doubt the Bucs do any trading.

  11. MT Bucs Fan Says:

When did this injury happen? He’s on the field at Philly for the last plays of the game (Brady kneel downs).

  12. Ftmyersbuc Says:

This is not good…the saints will play heavy man coverage and they have very good man corners….and AB is hands down our best man cov beating wr. Mike and chris can beat man but it takes them longer which means more holding the ball. Maybe a good game for Gio or darden??

  13. 163doubleplay Says:

could it be just for media show and to fool the Saints ?

  14. Medicated Pete Says:

    @Craig

    Hilarious 😀💦

  15. Robert Says:

I bet this was staged and he lights up NO.

  16. Bird Says:

Sounds like gronk and lvd back so that is great sign
Sherman practicing but is that a good thing as dude clearly does not have legs back yet.
Luckily , Deez nutz delaney and dean good to go

AB will probably be back after bye

We need all hands on deck. Sure saints are not same team but peyton can win with anyone. Gimmick Taysome hill was 4-0 last year. Saints vs seattle was typical crap weather game just like ours in new england and saints back in dome on halloween

With all that said …i hope we beat the crap out of them slimy saints. By 2 tuddies would be nice.

  17. Jmarkbuc Says:

Wouldn’t be surprised if AB goes and Gronk doesn’t…

    This is all strategery😁

  18. Chris Flores Says:

Hopefully AB is doing like Richard Sherman, and coaches up the younger wide receivers

  19. fern Says:

Back from bye like a champ no worries.

  20. GoatWatcher Says:

Let’s see. That leaves Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Cam Brate, OJ Howard, Fournette, Rojo, and some others that have caught a few passes. Against the Saints offense that showed up against Seattle? Brady vs Winston. Bucs fans get the willies against New Orleans. Pats fans never caught the willies, except sometimes against Peyton and the Ravens defense.

  21. Carter Kellogg Says:

It was a cheap shot by the defender who twisted his ankle on a tackle. That defender should have to sit out as long as Brown is injured.

  22. Anonymous Says:

I hope brown n gronk don’t play this coming Sunday so they will 2 more full weeks to recover don’t force to reinjured again….

  23. TOM Says:

I agree with most. Let him rest till after bye. I’m more concerned about the CB situation.
finally I hope they bear the sh.. out of Winston & the aints.
