Tom Brady’s Hand Injury Doesn’t Appear Major

October 11th, 2021

What injury?

At the two-minute warning prior to halftime, Joe noticed Tom Brady kept flexing his right hand as if he banged it on something or it got stomped on.

Late in the game after a win was sealed, CBS cameras showed Brady on the Bucs’ bench as he appeared to be soaking his throwing hand in a cooler of water.

Either that or Brady was reaching for a cold Big Storm Brewing beer. Who could blame him after such an excellent day of work in the hot Florida sun?

So after the game, Joe’s good friend Rock Riley asked Brady about his bandaged hand. Brady wasn’t specific about what happened but he sure didn’t deny something happened.

“In my younger days I probably would’ve never showed you guys that I wrapped it up because I probably would’ve tried to keep it a secret,” Brady said. “But I think I’m older so I don’t care as much. It’s just a football injury so, [I will] do my best to get ready for this game. We’ll see what happens.”

Joe hopes everything is OK but Joe has a hunch the hand may be a little worse than the team is letting on. But how bad could it be if Brady had one of the best games of his starry career?

Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians seemed to wave it off as nothing.

“Whenever it happened, it happened early so it didn’t affect him too much.”

TB12 hit his thumb twice (1st & 2nd qtrs). Pete’s watching the game again right now.

  2. Pruritus Ani Says:

Definitely concerned as I saw him soaking it too. Brady has played long enough where he isn’t an alarmist. If he’s soaking it for that long and has it wrapped up, it’s for a reason. It’s a short turnaround this week. I hope he’s ok.

  3. Bird Says:

He threw 4 tds after it happened

It will be swollen but he will play
Philly at home is a tough place to play
    We need the GOAT

  4. ModHairKen Says:

    Mere flesh wound.

  5. AMI_Chris Says:

We desperately need Brady to stay healthy. But the hand can’t be too bad, given the second half that Brady delivered.

  6. PassingThru Says:

Brady soaking his throwing hand made me glitch too. If it was just something superficial I wouldn’t expect that. I’m hoping there’s no ligament damage. Ligament damage isn’t always immediately obvious aside from numbness and slight restriction in the joint.

  7. RC Says:

Never know but he’s toughed it out through injuries before. He didn’t talk about needing stitches this time, but if it’s a bone injury that would definitely be a problem.
