McCoy Will Sit Down With Dominik, Raheem

April 8th, 2010

Joe proudly told you manbeast Ndamukong Suh has a scheduled visit with the Bucs, and Joe will also tell you of the breaking news that his defensive tackle shadow, Gerald McCoy, also will sit down with the Bucs’ brass.

McCoy will be in town on Sunday and Monday, reports good guy Anwar Richardson, of TBO.com.

Joe admits he’s still a little troubled by reading McCoy’s NFL.com live chat yesterday. McCoy told readers his favorite movie is Little Mermaid (the Disney kids film, not an rated-X offering shot on the beach).

Gerald McCoy, Oklahoma

Little Mermaid. I grew up watching the movie with my sister, because I was the only boy. Most of the time I was playing with action figures, but I like music and little mermaid had a lot of music, so it became my favorite.

Somehow, Joe just can’t imagine McCoy being the next Warren Sapp with that kind of taste in video.

    Little mermaid ??!!!

My preference of Suh just grew even stronger…

  2. RahDomDaBest Says:

For now on Joe can you refer to him as Little Mermaid McCoy?

  3. admin Says:

    Joe here,

Was thinking more like King Triton.

  4. OAR Says:

I’m afraid there are alot of these type WTF favorites in the league with players, we just don’t know or hear about them. Might be shocked actually.

  5. Eric Says:

He watched it with his sister cause he was the “only boy”.

    Oh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

In contrast, Suh looks like he is ready to rip someone’s head off and then go after their family.

  6. Sander Says:

He also said he used to be a Bucs fan and a Cowboys fan, and he chose #99 in little league because of Sapp. There’s just one part of that I don’t like.

What the big, I say, whats the big idea enticing me with a dreamboat. Boy, don’t cha know the ol’ ticker ain’t what it used to be. Ya gotta think of things like that boy, are ya listenin’, boy? Any of this gettin’ through? I know one thing, there’s something a little ewwwww about a boy watchin’ girly cartoons.

  8. Joe Says:

Foghorn is quickly become one of Joe’s favorite commenters!

  9. ReaderM Says:

Please tell me Joe is being sarcastic about ragging on McCoy over the little mermaid reference because honestly I can’t tell at times with Joe.. McCoy seems to be a funny goof ball at times like Warren and honestly watching his tape/game replays if we get him we might be looking forward to QBKilla 2.0 ( not necessarily an upgrade but the 2nd generation)

  10. Radio Mushmouth Says:

Since McCoy is weak and is going to be mauled in the running game , maybe we can nickname him “Flounder” …

  11. admin Says:

    Joe here,

ReaderM – Of course, Joe doesn’t care what the hell McCoy watches on TV. You could even make the case that someone with a set of balls to tell all of football that his favorite movie is Little Mermaid is a guy you want on your team. …Then again, it could really make you wonder. …Would be great to make various Little Mermaid character references about him over the next 10 years.

  12. JoeBucsSteveCampbell Says:

Well, Suh played soccer, so that’s probably worse than liking a disney movie.

  13. RastaMon Says:

After the inaugural “joebucsfan.com draft produced the
    “Bust in Waiting” ….
    tag..
joe has taken his game to “the next level”
    with
    “Little Mermaid”
    for year 2
subject to the Bucs actually drafting McCoy

  14. Joe Says:

    Troxell8t8:

Don’t forget Sapp is in McCoy’s corner.

Joe believes the fans like Suh over McCoy is because Suh is the wet dream of every football fan: He makes splash plays and uses brute force to literally manhandle opponents. A highlight reel.

  15. DRB Says:

I would like to see Suh try to “manhandle” Steve Hutchinson or any other pro-bowl caliber NFL guard….

  16. Radio Mushmouth Says:

Sapp’s fat ass is in the night-club smoking pot and slapping whores , not watching game film of the Big 12 . I really could careless who he likes.

As for us liking players who make the highlight reel: It’s true.

I prefer a player who actually MAKES PLAYS …as opposed to a supposed “pass rush specialist” who can only manage 6 sacks ( McCoy)

  17. OAR Says:

RadioMushmouth, Without Sapp, we don’t win a Superbowl. Besides he changed that position like no other, so I kinda do care who he thinks is better for us. BTW Sacks aren’t the only “plays” in pass rushing. In your face pressure and knock downs are just as important, there just aren’t any stat categories.

  18. JoeBucsSteveCampbell Says:

Mushmouth-you act like 6 sacks is a bad season for a DT. It’s just 6 sacks next to Suh’s numbers sound bad. But college stats are a non issue anyway. They don’t tell you anything about what kind of player they will be because the game is different in the NFL.

I think Suh may be the better player, but the gap isn’t far. These are the two best players in the draft, and we should be happy getting either.

  19. Radio Mushmouth Says:

OAR , no doubt Sapp was possibly the best tackle to ever play , but that doesn’t change the fact that he is not spending the time to scout these players , or even watch all thier games.

He is out playing golf all day and partying every night . For that reason his opinion of the two players is pretty much meaningless to me.

  20. Radio Mushmouth Says:

    stevecambell:

You’re right , and i’ll still be happy if we get McCoy …I’m just heckling the people who actually think McCoy is better than Suh 🙂

  21. OAR Says:

Radio, You have yours and I have mine. Sapp knows the position so his opinion is revelant.
“He is out playing golf all day and partying every night” Are you his keeper? Cause Im not sure about that, but I guess, the man is retired. I’m sure he watches some games or has watched some film in between putting and drinking. Possibly during his bathroom time, lol.
