Suh Wants To Be A Buccaneer

March 2nd, 2010

Many Bucs fans would be giddy to have manbeast Ndamukong Suh playing defensive tackle for Tampa Bay this season. And it seems Suh would be just as happy to be wearing pewter and red.

Josh Freeman, speaking on 1040 AM on Friday, talked about his relationship with Suh and how the manbeast told him he wants to play for the Bucs.

“I knew Gerald [McCoy] from the Army All-American game. I knew Suh from being recruited [togehter] by Nebraska. They’re both beasts,” Freeman said. “It’s every so often that a player like Suh or like McCoy come out. …I’d go with Suh. I saw him in Orlando. I talked to him. The guy is hungry, man. Talking to him, he wants to play in Tampa, too. That’s what he’s been telling me.”

It’s comforting to know that Suh has no plans to pull an Eli Manning and refuse to play for the Bucs.

Whether the Bucs should actually select him if he’s there when they’re on the clock with the No. 3 overall pick, that’s a whole nother discussion.

Dominic needs to do his job and go get him. If this moron is doing nothing in FA he better make a huge splash in the draft.

  2. Radio Mushmouth Says:

Unfortunetly , now that Suh has completely owned McCoy at the combine , there is no way McCoy gets picked 1st and Suh lasts until pick.

We will get McCoy by default.

  3. Tommy Boy Says:

If Suh is there at 3, and we don’t select him, I will disown this team until there is a new GM and ownership. It would be the dumbest move of all time to pass on Suh.

That said, Suh won’t be there. We’ll have to move up to get him.

  4. Jonny Says:

Tommy Boy, what if both Suh and McCoy are there and we get McCoy?

Any way you look at it McCoy is a better fit to our defensive scheme than Suh. Would you still disown the team?

Not a McCoy fan btw, I want Bucs to get Berry.

  5. LaughingCat Says:

Had a dream two night ago that Suh went first and we got Ryan Leaf’s younger brother (don’t know who that represents.) As long as our outcome is better than that, I’ll sleep well.

Dominik better not pull a Jimmy Johnson/Saints/Ricky Williams deal, but go get our man.

  6. LaughingCat Says:

If we really waned Suh, we would’ve sand bagged our last few victories. Aint no one that would argue for Raheem any less or more if we were 1-15 and got Suh.

You walking about Ditka trading an entire draft for Ricky Williams?

  8. nomads Says:

we tried to sandbag our wins but unfortunatly we were playoffbound so a few slipped through

  9. Radio Mushmouth Says:

Jonny , why would you be drafting for scheme when there is an 80% that The Dream is going to be fired next year anyways??

Draft the better player, period. Then you can build a system around him.

  10. LaughingCat Says:

Yes, I do stand corrected? They both have fine hair. Ha

What did you mean by that? You don’t think he is 100% our guy if he’s there at #3? I feel like Tommyboy. If he was ther at #3 and we didn’t take him, I’m not sure if I could stomach watching the Bucs next year.

  12. Eric S Says:

Joe-A more apt local comparison should have been Bo Jackson, Junior Seau or Tony Dorsett as far as players not wanting to play for the Bucs. You blew it Joe.

  13. admin Says:

    Joe here,

Eric S — Joe just doesn’t know how he’ll sleep tonight after your scolding.

  14. admin Says:

    Joe here,

JDouble – Draft is still a long road ahead. Lots can happen before then, and of course, the Bucs could trade down, which also would knock Suh of our plate.

  15. Louie Says:

If Bucs don’t take Suh or McCoy, it will proably be because they desperately need a WR to replace AB. Remember, it’s all about Freeman and they’ve got to do something to get him off the suicide watch.

  16. Eric S Says:

All in good fun Joe. Hehe.

  17. tampa2 Says:

Louie, Obviously, if the Bucs were in need of a receiver they would have kept our best one instead of dumping him and keeping Clayton. If the Bucs don’t take Suh or McCoy it’s all about the cash. We may want a competitive team, but the Glazers like cash, so we are sucking hind tit!
