Horse Sense

The camera will love him

We all know Bucs linebacker Devin White is a horseman. So much so he put Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager on notice last night.

Taking to Twitter, White sent a message to Licht threatening to roll up to a practice this summer on his horse. Joe would love to see him do it. But be careful, Devin, Cam Brate got chewed out by a Bucs staffer last week for showing up to One Buc Palace with dog.

If a labradoodle wigs out some Groundskeeper Willie wannabe, Joe can only imagine how triggered the guy would get having to follow around a horse carrying a shovel half the day.

It seems, per the mind of closet Bucs fan Peter Schrager of “Good Morning Football” and FOX Sports fame, White won’t need to horse to get the attention of the NFL.

And while Joe thinks all the national TV games the Bucs have will finally get Bucs linebacker Lavonte David his due, Schrager believes those prime time games will make White an NFL star.

Schrager walks out on a limb and predicts before this season ends, folks will consider White a top-10 NFL player not just because of his play but because so many eyeballs will be glued to Bucs games, internationally.

That’s what park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring Bucs quarterback Tom Brady does for people, Schrager said. He makes everyone who plays with him better.

You can see Schrager spell out his case for White in the NFL Network video below.

I can’t remember who it was, but I remember back when Schiano was HC and they played in Denver, they captured Schinao’s comments about the Bronco mascot parading up and down the field creating divets dangerous for players ankles and knees. I also remember sometime around there they showed an NFL player (Buc?) cowering in the bench area because he was afraid of horses. Wolf spiders don’t do it for me. I have a friend who is afraid of toads. But horses?

But..yeah, if D. White brings a horse, it’s much more of stir that can be created by a pile of dung. Much more than checking they sheet.

If the season manages 16 games our old Buccaneer world is about to get turned upside down.

I agree with Shrags that D White is at the top of the list of breakout stars. He not only has the talent…as does LVD…unlike LVD he has the fiery personality and award winning smile. He can light up a room. TV is going to LOVE him.

Some other guys will also emerge..maybe Winfield…guys like ME and CG will blow up reputation and fame wise. They’re already good but now they’re going to get the props they deserve.

The Bucs could replace the Cowboys as America’s team….and imagine doing it without “America’s QB”. Sorry NDOG I couldn’t resist.

Can’t wait to get this season started. Just hope the virus doesn’t knock it off the tracks. All the hype surrounding the Bucs this year has just got fan’s excitement levels through the roof! While I agree that White’s potential for greatness is off the charts, I think the player that will finally get the recognition he deserves is Lavonte David. Despite his age, the dude is going to explode this year! And, the chemistry he and White will continue to build is going to make them the best ILB tandem in the league.
