Sorry. Joe has to be frank. Left tackle Donald Penn looks like an elephant.

Exactly how much weight did this guy put on in the offseason? Good golly. So much for being more nimble and fit for the zone-blocking scheme.

Obviously, Joe didn’t review the tape yet, but Penn looked about as out of sync as the rest of the first-team offensive line.

That said, the Bucs clearly need Penn to turn out another strong season –desperately. Rookie left tackle Xavier Fulton looked so incredibly overmatched it was truly ugly. Joe’s willing to cut the kid some slack, but he sure looked out of his element.
