YaYa Diaby Stands Up For Todd Bowles
October 29th, 2026
Lots of love for embattled Bucs head coach Todd Bowles in the Tampa Bay locker room.
Speaking to Kay Adams on Up & Adams yesterday, Bucs edge rusher YaYa Diaby answered a question about Bowles. Adams wanted to know if there’s a, ‘Hey, don’t talk that way about my coach’ mentality among Tampa Bay players.
Diaby said there is — he was just having a conversation about that with Bucky Irving.
“We really love Coach Bowles,” Diaby said. “It just feels so good when you get a win, just to see the excitement for Coach Bowles. Just how he carries himself around the building and uplifting all the players, just being that great leader, great head coach that we have — it’s just getting win for him means the world.”
Joe gets that players love Bowles. He’s a players-first kind of guy. He’s steady. He serves as a father figure to many guys and Bowles has eight years at One Buc Palace with a clearly defined culture and expectations.
However, the Bucs are 4-12 in their last 16 games. Something isn’t adding up.

We were due for a winning streak. I think it is time. We just had two Todd Bowles annual slides back to back. Now we will be undefeated going into the Superbowl

The players love him because he expects very little from them while praising them as if they won the SB while losing home games.
What isn’t adding up are the wins. What continues to add up are the excuses.
And the Glazers are loving the culture of regression. It’s like catnip to them.
Todd cost them millions in revenue when he lost to the tanking Dolphins.
The Glazers doubled down and asked for more. Todd said hold my beer. #Success

If you love the guy, win for him, play hard for him, unite to dominate the opponent. No excuses, no whining. Get it done

Thoughts!
1. Then win for him!
2. Sometimes people love a boss who doesn’t work them too hard. (Or hard enough)

You can love him, but do you respect him?
October 29th, 2026 at 12:44 pm
Prove it with your wins, not words.

When you stick together, you come out with a defense thats tops in the league
Now get the offense on board
Playoff game Sunday
Go Bucs!

Who cares
October 29th, 2026 at 12:52 pm
Obviously you do. If you didn’t care, you wouldn’t have wasted the time and effort to comment. 🙂

The players that love toilet bowels will be gone with him in the end! Go bucs 2027!

That’s right, we get a win here “we are so back.” Back to 8-9. Why this is acceptable in anyway year over year is really beyond me. Being worried about the now only are not good markers for success in general as it pertains to life. The best decisions are the hard decisions.

Steve V is going down on the ship that Bowles is captaining.
Let’s see if it works out…..

“Subpar player defends subpar HC”
That aligns.
October 29th, 2026 at 1:12 pm
Most of the players in that locker room have only had Bowles as their NFL HC.
So what do they know?
He’s a great guy, he’s good to his players, he runs a complex scheme that some of them can’t fully grasp. Best coach ever!

In other words I’m about to get paid by licht and the glazers and i must say that that toilet bowles is amazing and the best coach since parcells

There is an amazing story in the Athletic about Bo Nix and Tez Johnson – they are like peas and carrots – very cool – Tez is a bad-ass hombre for sure – the players on this team are not the problem – at every position there is potential and superior if inconsistent play – I have already blasted the GM and owners ad nauseum so it really comes down to the coach -,it really does – at Brandon High School outside Tampa they have had a stellar championship wrestling team for decades ? why ? because the kids in Brandon are special ? No – they had a coach named Russ Cozart that led the team to glory – the Bucs need a Russ Cozart (or Tony Dungy or Tom Brady or Monte Kiffin) that can lead this team to glory
