100th Win Celebration For Jason Licht

Lost in the ecstasy of the Bucs upping their record to 1-4 on Thursday night was Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht reaching a milestone — and celebrating it after the game.
The “W” in Dallas was No. 100 of Licht’s career as GM. That includes the Bucs’ 6-4 record in the postseason under Licht’s tenure, which began in 2014.
Buccaneers Radio Network sideline reporter Jay Recher talked to Licht about the honor, as Recher relayed on his After The Whistle podcast, an official team production Joe listens on the SiriusXM Buccaneers channel.
“Talking to Jason Licht after the [Dallas] game, I used my classic line on Jason Licht: ‘I go, Jason, nobody says it has to be a Picasso,’ Recher said about the win. “And he said, ‘You’re damn right!’ … Good for him. He was very happy with that. “
Recher described t-shirts Licht and his staff had. “Here’s To 100 More” with a backdrop of Licht chugging a beer. Joe saw the photo of Licht wearing the shirt on the Yuma Pioneer Facebook page, what seems to be Licht’s hometown newspaper.
Joe guesses somebody at One Buc Palace is damn happy to not be carrying those t-shirts to games any longer.
For those wondering, ex-Bucs Super Bowl-winning GM Rich McKay won 85 games with Tampa Bay (1995-2003), including the postseason.

? Huh? What am I missing, this team is 1-4 and on life support. Seems like Licht should be more concerned about improving his draft picks. Not one fan cares about his 100th win.

@buc4evr in a league that turns over staff regularly you might as well celebrate while you’re still around. The way things were going he could have been fired before getting to 100 wins. A few tee’s and some beer don’t sound like anything crazy. Enjoy the wins when you can because tomorrow is never a guarantee.

it is 100% certain to instill fear and dread into the Buccaneers fanbase by Licht threatening “Here’s To 100 More”. – hopefully he’ll be gone after this year – FYI McKay was GM 9 years and Licht has already been GM 12+’years – Licht should have at least 115 wins if you do the math – by any objective and sane measure McKay was a better GM than Licht – I am sure all the crazies will rush to disagree

Licht’s 6-4 record in the postseason.
That stat wasn’t even available to him until Tom Brady arrived and produced a SB victory and was on track for another one until Bowles ended that run.
5-1 in the postseason before Bowels was the HC. 1-3 since then.
Todd is great at turning the Taj Mahal into the ghetto.

If you don’t, this devoted Bucs fan sure does!!! I recall Rich McKay, too. That was when his old man took the Bucs to the playoffs in their 4th season. Great memories. Why stop at the Buccaneer Ring of Honor?! I say straight to Canton…while waving the 5 year waiting period.
Super Bowl plus four consecutive division titles after that Super Bowl win. That’s highly rare turf among GMs. The Ring is a no-brainer.–Joe

carolina is lucky they didn’t play – because they prolly would have lost too…
this division sucks…
as bad as we have been – so far – the saints and atlanta basically got nothing on us…
carolina is a little out of reach…for now…but the season is actually still young…
the whole division can basically be chucked in a garbage can…

Recher is THE reason I call Licht, “LICKT.” I was driving down the road listening to WDAE a couple of years ago, when this dumb caller kept pronouncing it “LICKT.” Jay literally LOST-IT on the guy, going from like a 2 to an 11, by the 4th or 5th time, the dude said it! Jay (the biggest lil crybaby in the entire TB-market) just assumed that the guy was doing it intentionally, while trying to make fun of HIS BOY (dream lover), LICKT. The guy wasn’t the first LoL… But, the dude was JUST STUPID. You could tell it was an honest mistake, Seriously, there was literally no other reason to ‘LOSE-IT’ to a caller like that, over something soooo freaking STUPID. Even though. But, it was SO BAD, that I almost ‘called-in’ just to intentionally, keep saying “LICKT-LICKT-LICKT” over and over again, so that they’d have to admit him into an insane asylum.

I’ve never heard such squeals and noises coming from a so-called grown man, before. “Ahhhhhh… It’s. NOT. LICKKKKTTTTTT.” I mean, he had to burst at least a couple of blood vessels there, with all that. Seriously, to just LOSE YOUR MIND over something sooooo irrelevant and pointless. It was really comical. Though, it was soooo obvious, exactly what he was doing… Sucking up to HIS BOY. 💯 Cause, there is NO possible WAY, that a so-called grown “MAN” is SO triggered over something like THAT. Hell, it’s FUNNY!!!! Well, not for him. Not when you’re talking about HIS BOY. I’ll tell ya… He wasn’t on-the-air for very much longer after that. It wasn’t the only thing for sure… You could tell that the pressure must’ve been really been getting to him. But, he’s in the perfect spot for HIM now… Doesn’t have to communicate back and forth with real people, and his literal JOB now, is to be nothing but a 💯 fan bois, at ALL TIMES.
