Emeka Egbuka: Zac Robinson Has Almost “Every Answer”
September 17th, 2026
Praised by stud receiver.
Zac Robinson didn’t have all the answers in Week 1. But he had plenty.
The Bucs offensive coordinator didn’t have enough answers for his offense to overcome four fumbles — but he damn near did. In some ways, Robinson’s answers led to one of the better offensive performances in Week 1 across the league.
Bucs receiver Emeka Egbuka said yesterday Robinson has brought a real intellectual element.
“He has kind of every answer that you would need from any given position,” Egbuka said at One Buc Palace. “He’s very smart in that way …being able to kind of just regurgitate information off the top of his head.”
Egbuka was asked how the Bucs were able to consistently move the ball on the Bengals and never punted, though they didn’t need to punt after giftwrapping four fumbles to Cincinnati.
“I think we did some good things on Sunday,” said Egbuka, who was targeted the most on with presnap motion (30 percent). “I think we were driving the ball well when we weren’t turning it over, but obviously that has to be our number one point of emphasis going forward.”
Before the season, Joe wasn’t worried about the offense, and Joe’s attitude hasn’t changed. Even though the offense wasn’t clean on Sunday (not factoring in the fumbles), the Bucs still produced. So Joe has the warms for the offense, especially what it could be when the Bucs do get things smoothed out.
If Sunday was how the offense performs when it’s sloppy and disjointed, imagine what the offense could do once it is humming smoothly?

Zac may or may not be great, but unlike last year I think we have at least cleared the low bar of competent.

over 80% completion rate was all I needed to see. Baker looked good but once the fumbles started coming it was inevitable that there would be more. They were definitely nervous. You know usually Baker throws a pick and then he settles down playing way better after the pick/fumble. See chargers game of 2024, and packers game of 2023. But this game was weird, he couldn’t get the jitters out. Surprisingly he didn’t throw any INT’s though? I think of the Saints game of 2024 where he threw like 3-4 INT’s? A lot were fluky but you just knew they were going to keep coming. The defense saved him that day, but that is the only time I can remember.

offense has to run the ball more & run it more effectively…they also need to score TDs in the red zone…cut down on the penalties and turnovers and we could be dangerous….
unfortunately, im not sure Zac has the ability to stick with the run or baker can minimize his turnovers….well see vs CLE
GO BUCS!!!!!

I think Zac is going to show well as the season goes. My concern currently is the o line. They did not do well at all in Cinn. They also appeared not very good in their scrimmages with the Jags. They were once considered the strength of the team. I guess we will know over the next few weeks.

@ Drunk
I agree…
Zac didn’t fumble the fu$k!ng ball 3 times on Sunday.
Our A$$hole QB did.
September 17th, 2026 at 9:43 am
Zac did have the Joe, all due respect, but when your franchise QB fumbles 3 times and your RB also fumble, it’s tough to win.
September 17th, 2026 at 9:45 am
But if Zac Robinson has all the answers, why didn’t he go to the hurry up offense until it was too late? They wasted so much time not using the hurry up offense. If you are down more than a touchdown, go to the hurry up. Who knows you may need the extra drives.

It’s a weird offense but not his fault bake gagged
September 17th, 2026 at 9:56 am
So what happens if we win on Sunday? The crybabies disappear or post under different names.
These people will say it was only the Browns and credit the team. The other reaction
will be Baker should have beaten them easily.
Last week’s game is over . Time to move on to the Browns.

@ DBS
“Time to move on to the Browns”
If BM doesn’t get his poop in a group real soon – our entire season will be heading into the “BROWNS”…
LOL!
Go Bucs!
September 17th, 2026 at 10:12 am
Thanks Captain Obvious. And if the defense doesn’t get pressure on QB’s and lets teams drive 80 and 90 yards the season will be in the toilet too.
September 17th, 2026 at 10:15 am
Zack Robinson is a bad OC. He was bad in Atlanta. That’s why he’s not there.
Bad last week in Tampa. Expect more of the same.
September 17th, 2026 at 10:16 am
@ DBS
I agree.
We are screwed…
7-10.
And that’s being nice.

I’ve seen so many people blaming Mayfield for Sundays loss. In the modern age of information and analysis,
Do People still just “ blame the QB” ?
To me, that means you were drunk during the game, and just wanna B*tch- without figuring out what was the issue.
Your QB is to blame, if he misses open open targets. If he misreads the defense.
If your QB fumbles 3 times- he didn’t lose the game- unless he just dropped the ball.
I’ll type this in all capitols, so that even the stupidest posters here may Notice.
IF A QB FUMBLES- ITS NOT HIS MISTAKE
BECAUSE YOUR QB ISNT SUPPOSED TO BE HIT!
If the QB is running the ball, it’s because the play failed. Except for the extremely rare QB called running play. NFL QBs are two valuable to run. If he fumbles in the picket- it’s because some dumba** missed his block, and let the QB get blindsided.
Baker only held the ball “too long” , on a 3rd down play. Down 7. Less than 3 minutes. Throwing it away means he doesn’t want to win the game.
Mayfield had a 96.8 QB rating. Everyone else withe a 90+ rating won. 96.8 is a good days work.
The Bengals QB was pressured less than any other QB Sunday. Our pass rush was the worst in the league Sunday.
The Bengals blitzed less than any team Sunday, yet Mayfield was the 9th most pressured QP in the league.
That means the Bengals pressured Mayfield all day long, without having to blitz.
WE COULDNT BLOCK FOR MAYFIELD. WE COULDNT RUSH THE BENGALS QB.
That’s why we lost. The fumbles were the result of our Oline being the worst ranked line in the league.
Ands it why we wil be a bad team this year. We will beat the hapless, pathetic Browns. Who doesn’t? But the Bucs are a bad team, and we won’t beat good teams this year.
But Not because of Mayfield.

Joe, I asked Chatgpt to research OU games W/L versus Baker W/L and whether those losses correspond with Baker losing. I also asked it about turnover ratio after an OU loss. The findings are truly spectacular where Baker is like ~28% more like to have 3 turnovers after an OU loss. Whether OU wins or losses there is a high change Baker will have a turnover. The thing that strikes me is there is some lean to the fact that if OU losses in the playoffs or on a night game he plays a bit worse after the fact. So, if OU losses in the playoffs, just know Baker statistically plays worse the next day.
September 17th, 2026 at 10:20 am
@Marine,
You know Baker had a bad game when both of us are blaming him. 🤪
September 17th, 2026 at 10:25 am
So your saying if our qb plays better we can be a good team? Go Bucs
September 17th, 2026 at 10:42 am
Joe … ‘ So Joe has the warms for the offense, especially what it could be when the Bucs do get things smoothed out.’
Any predictions on how many games it’ll take for the offense to ‘smooth things out’ Joe? My gut tells me this’ll be another up-and-down year. Baker is who he is: Inconsistent.

Capt.Obvious !
September 17th, 2026 at 10:55 am
o line and dline didnt look great baker uncharacteristically fumbled 3 times. kind of screams to me as a soft training canp.
September 17th, 2026 at 11:01 am
We need 3rd and 28 Robinson asap lol
September 17th, 2026 at 11:03 am
was egbuka asked what zac told him why he had no targets in the second half??
September 17th, 2026 at 11:04 am
Welll said , captain Tim. O line must step up. Me thinks a few guys may have run a wrong route or two as wel, being a new offense. Lastly, please give Durham some throws. The guy has made some great, albeit few, grabs over the years.
September 17th, 2026 at 11:22 am
I’m not in panic mode yet. All aspects of this team can play better. Hopefully this begins on Sunday.
