I gave roster a C+. The Bucs put a lot of stock into some rookies playing big minutes and in the NFL that can be a bit of a gamble. Zac 0 Robinson better show more in week 1 bc preseason was not great exhibit.
I don’t remember which talking head (it wasn’t the Joes) said when Vea came back “Who’s going to be able to run on this defense?”” My immediate thought was “with our cornerbacks, nobody will need to run.”
Between secondary and OL depth problems, not to mention a HC incapable of having anything other than a .500 season, there are too many issues to grade the team higher.
C. Average head coach (Iโm being generous here), cb position group is questionable at best with zero depth and a huge lack of depth at the o-line group. I would be surprised if the Bucs win 10+ games.
We’re carrying less OLBs than we did last year and I’d think with 1-less man we’re still a little better than last years’ group.
Doubt we dress the 10 OLmen every gameday, but also curious to hear if the plan was to have a single reserve player for every starter w/Barton being the exception.
Bringing SMB on makes me feel a little better about the CB depth, but what perked my ears up listening to Bowles’ PC yesterday was hearing him say SMB can play safety. On the team site, It’s 4 CBs and Scott listed as a “DB” and I also think he can be another guy who floats around just to get him on the field. The pecking order behind Zyon & Parrish needs to be sorted out.
WR-RB-TE we’re good in terms of their collective potential, but still need to see how Robinson puts them all into position and how he uses them.
Love the talent we have at DT, we’ve got personnel on the inside to put a bunch of different mixes of 2-3 players who all do some of the same things with a variety of things they do well. From Vita to A’Shawn all the way to both Elijahs & Capehart. We got better there imo.
Roster looks decent, now the part is them preparing to go out on gameday and put it all together to well enough to win games.
I will say this: I expect a LOT of defensive penalties. Id this defense plays as aggressive as it seems they are planning, the refs will be watchful. We’ll have some bad calls…even if the players do things right.
We’ve seen teams go through that when they play aggressive…eventually the NFL eases up on them…but…Bowles will be under pressure to reduce the penalties. Will this cause he to dial things back?
Need a more experienced but good #2 QB….need at least one more O-line who is good….and of course CB. Thats where I wouldve spent that 3rd rd this year CB/OT/G…..but its appearing we spent it well with the WR in Hurst, and if that works out great, then it was well spent.

Better poll ~ How many times will Bowles use the term “busted coverage” in post game pressers this year?
September 2nd, 2026 at 8:20 am
B roster, F coach.
September 2nd, 2026 at 8:28 am
C+ roster, G coach…….yes, thats a G, worse than an F, Bowles can F up a cup of coffee

Brady was not given a better roster here. Time for Baker show up, assuming a healthy squad this season.
September 2nd, 2026 at 8:36 am
I voted C+. Too many defensive linemen not enough defensive backs. No real offensive dine depth with quality.

I think we have an A- roster, seriously
I was skeptical of the roster going into last season
But this season is different
I truly believe the pieces are in place

Better on Defense โ on paper.
Same on Offense โ with less injuries.
Now itโs down to execution.
September 2nd, 2026 at 8:48 am
flip flopped between c+ and b-. dont really have any playmakers on offense or defense

Not Elite anywhere
Very good at OL, WR and Kicker
Average at QB, RB and DL
Too many unknowns to be any higher, especially when the Head Coach/DC is a solid D

I think they’ve done the best job the could addressing needs, and now it is up to the players. I’ll be adjusting my opinion on the fly, so we’ll see.

GO BUCS!!!!

Terrible Todd brings the entire roster down. Zac as the OC and the young WRs are not yet proven. No idea what this team is going to look like.
I am going with a C for now.
September 2nd, 2026 at 11:23 am
I would say C+ and F- for coach.
September 2nd, 2026 at 11:25 am
No A in the bunch. We are da Who Dats? LOL

B or B plus looks accurate to me.

Starters B+, Backups D+ (RB and DL prevent a F)

Meh. Relying on rookies in way too many areas. Licht is overrated. 93-104 – 12 year loser.

The 3 F’s….im sure id win a 20 dollar bet on guessing those three…..
