Dan Orlovsky Torches Bucs Defense, Playcalling
September 21st, 2026
So ESPN analyst and former Bucs QB Dan Orlovsky shared notes from his film study of the Bucs-Browns game.
That’s rare. Usually an analyst will discuss a couple of plays in detail or drop a hot take and some numbers.
But on The Pat McAfee Show today, Orlovsky pulled out the note pad and blasted the Bucs defense after saying the “panic meter” is “incredibly high” in Tampa.
“Bad zone defense. Bad zone defense. Bad pressure distribution. Too soft in coverage. Poor tackling. Poor tackling. Poor tackling,” Orlovsky read. “Poor tackling. Blown coverage. Defensively, the [Bucs’] breakdowns in the second half, specifically, were so significant.”
Orlovsky spread the blame, pointing out on film poor decisions by Baker Mayfield and playcalling that seemed to mystify him.
“They called like seven screens yesterday. None of them worked,” Orlovsky said of Tampa Bay. “He added that the Bucs needed to work intermediate routes more often.”
Joe looks over and over at the Browns’ winning touchdown yesterday and watches three Bucs defensive players fail to make a basic play. And the cherry on top is Zyon McCollum not going full speed and pulling up on a chance to cause a goal-line fumble like he’s seen Antoine Winfield pull off multiple times.

Like last year, the year before, and…you get the picture. Bad tackling, NO perimeter defense, TEs wandering around in the secondary like they are invisible. Gonna be a long year, kids.

Boooooooooooo!
September 21st, 2026 at 2:30 pm
So it took the Browns loss for Orlovsky to notice what we have been seeing for a few years now?
September 21st, 2026 at 2:30 pm
Offensive woes start with the Oline. As overrated as the dim Licht sitting in the GM chair. They canât handle pass protection duties and it has a knock on effect with Baker who is scared to make his reads and panics. The woes continue with receivers not getting separation and finally an OC that is making Grizzard look like Bill Walsh.
Defense canât tackle and once again there are pass catchers running WIDE AAS open across that Todd Bowles defense. Itâs become a real hallmark of his vaunted defensive scheme.
September 21st, 2026 at 2:31 pm
That play perfectly sums up Bowles defense.
Soft, lazy, unprofessional, bland, boring, stale.
With the game on the line he put it on HIS defense.
The defense that Licht constructed for him this offseason.
It just isn’t working and it never will. The evidence has been collected.
Time to call a spade a spade and move on already.
How many more years are we willing to waste? Are we giving up on the season?
Because keeping the HC\DC intact is doing precisely that.
September 21st, 2026 at 2:31 pm
yea last weeks probowler zzzzyon (according to his fans here) was his old self pulling up instead of trying to punch the ball out from Boston. he is effing lazy.

So just:
1. Bad Defensive Schemes
2. Bad Defensive Play
3. Bad Offensive Scheme
That’s only three things to clean up.

Iâve never seen Lavonte play as bad as Anzalone thĂ© past 2 weeks.

Gosh it has been a terrible day since the Bucs lost to the Browns. Iâve never seen the volume of totally negative comments on this site. But I guess itâs human nature, if you win most people are happy, if you loose, everyone is heartbroken and in a very bad mood.
The only thing that can change all this is a win this Sunday against the Vikings. So Iâm going to join the very few optimistic people who comment on this site, stay on the ship and hope for a win !! Maybe even a string of wins !!
Itâs up to Coach Bowles and the rest of the coaches to help our Bucs overcome this and turn things around !!
Go Bucs !!
Beat the Vikings !!

Zac Robinson and Liam Coen are best friends
I’m almost certainly that Coen told Zac that Baker is a Dink and Dunk QB
Go back and look at Zac 2 seasons in Atlanta
You rarely seen Cousins/Penix throwing check downs
When they threw to Bijan, it was a pass out in the flats
Mostly they threw passes up field, especially over the middle
But that’s not the case with Baker

BS season
September 21st, 2026 at 2:44 pm
Did this guy consult our resident experts here? The loss was entirely on Baker. The defense was fine and did their job. He must not be seeing the same game film .
September 21st, 2026 at 2:46 pm
FUN STATS:
1. VV, Yaya, Kancey, Bain = 0 Sacks
2. Bucs DB have more TFL than DL+OLB
3. Bucs OL has given up the 3rd most sacks in the NFL
4. Baker is tied for #1 in most fumbles
September 21st, 2026 at 2:48 pm
ABSOLUTELY PITIFUL. Please don’t look for the retreads of Gruden & Tomlin. The Bucs have to get a new young coach that can relate to the team of today.
September 21st, 2026 at 2:52 pm
On the first offensive drive of game baker steps up in the pocket sees an open Egbuka but doesnât trust his arm and checks it down to Otton. Btw bake had enough time to look across the field where 17 is Wide Ass open.
On the first defensive play of the game Bain is caught looking into the backfield and misses his assignment which is a bootleg action. Bain needs to be benched heâs clearly hurt and his confidence is at an all time low. Right now weâre witnessing how you take a 1st round talent and create a bust. Bowles needs to bench him and let him heal.
September 21st, 2026 at 2:55 pm
Who is going to want to coach this team that is handcuffed to Baker? It would have to be a first-time head coach. Except for Gruden, what experienced coach would want to come here and have to play Baker??
September 21st, 2026 at 2:56 pm
What pains me the most (other than once upon a time we had Liam Coen running the offense only to let him go for an air head of a defensive coach) is that you wait all year for football season only to watch this abysmal attempt at defensive coaching.
It’s like the players know this scheme is garbage so they don’t go all out and honestly I don’t blame them.

Barton is a bust. Luke is a shell of himself. Tristan is getting too complacent. Baker feeling heat even when it’s not there. Can’t/won’t step into a throw for accuracy down field. Bucky playing lights out but can’t block either. This offense is soft.
I have hope for the defense. Anzalone is down to his last life hopefully. B Mo has played pretty solid and actually kind of physical. Parrish needs to get healthy quickly. Bain has done absolutely nothing so nowhere to go but up there. But I feel like the defense is doing better than I expected.
But this offense looks like it doesn’t know what it’s doing on way too many plays and wasting a lot of possessions.

0/4 coming straight down 75 for us. Get ready!!!!!!!!
September 21st, 2026 at 3:03 pm
He’s not saying anything different than everything Joe Bucs fan (as well as Joe Bucs Fan) are saying. Literally everybody see it except that mediocre mess of a head coach.
The Bucs are now 2-9 since last year’s bye week and the next five weeks don’t look good. Even the Steelers look better than the bucs right now.
It might be November 1st before we see the first win.
September 21st, 2026 at 3:03 pm
Stop it Lakeland.
Coen did no such thing. You donât put up 4500 yards and 41 TDs dinking and dunking. If he did, Bucky would have had 800 yards receiving. He didnât.
Evans got 1000 and Godwin was leading the league in WR stats through 7 weeks.
Robinson is now under the school of Todd. Donât risk it, might be a 20-17 biscuit out there. How do deep passes factor into that which Baker uncorked a few⊠well heâs keeping those safe by throwing 5 yards deeper than anyone can get it.
Baker needs 5-20 yard passes. You saw him zip one to Hurst 18 yards. You saw him sidearm a crosser to Godwin on the money. He can do it, he just isnât nearly consistent enough, not getting good enough protection and on some guys just arenât getting open vs the D that is called.
Those arenât excuses for Baker, heâs terrible right now, but as usual there is more than one culprit when assigning blame.
The whole team is playing like crap save for maybe 4 outta 22 guys. Todd Bowles everyone⊠and Baker. 2 guys turning a 10 win team into a 5 win team.
September 21st, 2026 at 3:09 pm
The problem is there isnt one problem. There are many it isn’t just clean up touch up. Or “so close” like baker says. he isnt close. his passes yesterday were crap. we went from fumbleitis to inaccurateitis. Totally inconsistent. Or consistently inconsistent, your choice.
September 21st, 2026 at 3:09 pm
If Tampa cut Baker next offseason (2027), his dead cap hit of roughly $50Mâ$60M would eat around **18% to 20% of a $300M salary cap**.
For comparison:
* **Russ / Broncos:** $85M dead hit on a $208M cap = **~40% of their total cap space blown**.
* **Baker / Bucs:** ~$55M dead hit on a $300M cap = **~18% of their cap space**.
The Realistic Playbook: Draft & Sit
The Bucs wouldn’t cut him right away anywayâtheyâd do what smart franchises do:
1. **Draft the Future:** Select a rookie QB in Round 1 on a cheap, controlled contract.
2. **Bridge with Baker:** Keep Baker as the starter for one more year to let the rookie learn without getting thrown to the wolves unless he is just completely outplaying Baker in camp.
3. **Painless Hand-off:** After that transition year, cut or trade Baker. His dead cap drops even lower, (the cap seems to always go up) the rookie steps in on a low cap hit, and the roster never collapses.
Denver took a 40% cap hit with nobody left to play QB; Tampa would be taking an 18% hit while transitioning smoothly to a rookie that is just standard NFL roster management.
September 21st, 2026 at 3:09 pm
I have only one more thing to say. Without A doubt, the Bucs are the most UNDERACHIEVING ream in the NFL. 11 straight games failing to cover the spread is firm. The only quest is where do they stand historically? Could they be the WOAT?
The Glazers must be proud. I fully expect them to make a public appearance in the near future.
September 21st, 2026 at 3:10 pm
@Mike⊠donât kid yourself. There are only 32 HC jobs. Many people will want to take this Tampa job. The cupboard is not bare.
There are a lot of big egos in pro sports. Someone thinks they can make chicken salad outta this mess. How would the Browns or Jets ever get coaches if people were that scared of a big job?
Someone with vision could turn this around quickly. 4-3 D, a mean C, Barton to LG, a new MLB to pair with Trotter, a 225 lb bruising RB⊠most problems are solved if the new coaches know how to scheme something decent.
September 21st, 2026 at 3:14 pm
This is all looking to go sideways real quick.
Bucs players are gonna be hearing nothing but opposing team fans and boo birds out there.
They will all just be punching a clock like their HC soon. Embarrassing from top to bottom.
In a week or 2 Iâd be checking in on Vea and Diabys trade value. Might as well let Roberts, Simmons and Walker get reps.
September 21st, 2026 at 3:15 pm
Dan-O.. bet he wont be picking the Bucs anymore.. guess all that talent he saw in the off-season when no-one is playing games was just made up hype
September 21st, 2026 at 3:15 pm
I donât think Anzalone has actually made a tackle yet this season. Absolute garbage! Might be the perfect Bowles Linebacker.
September 21st, 2026 at 3:17 pm
A few short weeks ago, we realists were labeled as haters. In truth, we saw an idiot show in motion and called it out. The rest of you, the gullible lot who still believe the internet is a purveyor of total honesty, chose to swallow the fiction emanating from Buccaneer Central.
But thatâs ok.
Itâs long past time we banded together in a redundant outrage until Todd and Jason are fired and we move on from Baker.
Scream, rant and throw bags over your head at games. If someone made a bumper sticker saying, FIRE BOWLES AND LICHT TODAY!!! Iâd buy one instantly.
And if there really was a benevolent football deity watching over us, it would use its power of mind control to get the Two Stooges to sell the team. Ah, to dream!
Iâd rather start anew and build a team with young, hungry players and knowledgeable coaches who were dedicated to their craft. Problem is, the Stooges wouldnât know these types if they were staring them in the face. See Liam Coen.
At the very least, Glazer boys, itâs past time for this circus to fold its tents and hit the road!
The Lightning and Rays got it together. The Bucs are an embarrassment to those proud organizations.

“The Realistic Playbook: Draft & Sit”
Give me Austin Simmons, Trindad Chambliss, Mensah is playing out of his mind but I mentioned him on here before, Jayden Maiava, and there’s a few others.
I’d even once over Kevin Jennings out of SMU just for the hell of it or my boy Lincoln Feinholz out of Louisville.
We need a door #2 & #3

September 21st, 2026 at 3:29 pm
Bowles is eating too many chicken wings, he is wearing that parachute cut off shirt for the extra large ones. He is living high on the hog with one foot in retirement. We need some young blood in here, minus the rahim the dream scenario.
September 21st, 2026 at 3:29 pm
I expected a meltdown this year and I am getting it. Every year Todd Bowles has been head coach the team has done nothing but play .500 ball. That is the ceiling for this team just like every team he has coached. He did better than .500 because first Dave Canalis and Liam Cohen are amazing head coaches that the Bucs had, which gave them up to become head coaches in Carolina and Jacksonville. We saw in the preseason how far ahead Jacksonville is of Tampa, and they are 2-0. Even Carolina stuck with QB Bryce Young who is okay is ahead of Tampa leading the South with a 1-1 record playing two tough opponents â Chicago and Baltimore, who they managed to beat. Tampa cannot beat anyone with the brain trust of Zac Robinson and Todd Bowles. Mark my words â both will be history at the end of the season as the Glazers donât fire coaches mid-season but will fire them mid contract. It is the reason I refused to pay Sunday Ticket to watch them this year and just listen to them on XM Radio. I donât need to watch this dumpster fire on TV.
September 21st, 2026 at 3:35 pm

Offensive woes could be attributed to having a new OC every single year. But there is zero excuse for a DC based head coach to have a crappy bottom 5 defense.
September 21st, 2026 at 3:39 pm
Same mediocre coach. Same mediocre team. No surprise.
September 21st, 2026 at 3:42 pm
Iâm going to try to preserve my sanity by saying it could be worseâŠwe could be Chargers fans! Bucs dropped twoâŠone to what looks like a good team (Cincy) and one to an obvious POS team. Chargers lost to two (likeiy) sh!t teamsâŠand they have a pretty good HC. The other NFC South dumpster fire (Atlanta) can at least use the excuse that theyâre playing their third string QBâŠwe got nothinâ except admitting the Bucs are currently a hot mess.

September 21st, 2026 at 4:06 pm
Doesn’t matter. The NFL is doing everything it can to not rely on the old-school fans who actually get mad about the play of the teams- I am sure they see that as an impediment to their money-making racket. I noticed all these pretty women on the field near where I was sitting by the tunnel yesterday 10 minutes before the game started. I realized they were WAGs and then player after player came over and hugged and kiss his own WAG, some giving them presents or roses—-10 freeking minutes before they were supposed to go to battle!!! I wanted to puke. Then I looked into it and it turns out that this is all part of an NFL scheme starting this year because women and young people (particularly young women) like seeing the players show their affection towards their significant others during the game. They are looking to expand on the Taylor swift magic that brought young women into the game. So, its obvious the NFL doesn’t want to depend on us men who get ticked off about their product, they want a different market that will drag us to see their cruddy soft product.
September 21st, 2026 at 4:07 pm
If we start out 0-5 I would hope to see a firing of Todd Bowles. That’s the mini bye after the Cowboys game. We’ve never fired a coach mid season but it would be an honor if Todd Bowles was the 1st!
September 21st, 2026 at 4:07 pm
LOL!
$65M a year franchise quarterback Baker Mayfield singlehandedly loses the game again, his 6 loss in 7 games, all on him and yet every story is about anything but him and his failure in the clutch.
I’m not joking, I literally laughed when I saw yet another headline not mentioning how Baker failed the team and the fans.

Again, I’ll remind people, Baker is a $65M cap hit for the next 3 seasons, not $55M. It’s $55M in NEW money, but they already owed him money, that they spread over 3-years ($10M/year), so it’s so it’s worse than you think.

SO MANY PEOPLE KNEW better than the owners about IBS…
The news that the owners retained Bowels came out, we were beyond confident it was such a STUPID business move!
September 21st, 2026 at 4:23 pm
When you watch that play, in addition to the three players that whiffed on the tackle, you also see 3 players (21, 45 Trotter, and 27 McCollum) failing to swarm to the ball. They ease up as they see the three players converge on the TE. Then they try to get on their high horse to catch up only to ease up again around the 10-yard line. Unacceptable.
In a Monte Kiffin coached defense, all of the players away from the tackle would have been busting their arses to either help bring the ballcarrier down or be there with a devastating hit should he break a tackle. Not enough hustle from this defense, but it’s what Todd Bowles accepts. If he didn’t accept it, it wouldn’t happen.
It’s time for some tough love from the head coach and defensive coordinator. If a player is jogging during a play, have him jog his arse over to the sideline and stand by you for a bit.
September 21st, 2026 at 4:25 pm
Baker had a wide open receiver, in the end zone, to win the game – and he missed the throw. And it was an easy throw by NFL QB standards. It’s a throw any high school QB is expected to make every time. And our new franchise QB missed the throw to win the game. That comes after an entire summer of hearing about how he had been ‘disrespected’ by people questioning if he’s a franchise QB. It comes after he signed the largest deal in team history. It comes as he’s now the 3rd highest paid player in the NFL.
And he missed a throw every single QB in the NFL is expected to make 100 out of 100 times. One that wins the game.
And still not a single story about that.
Remarkable.
The one and only real storyline from the game, and nothing.
September 21st, 2026 at 4:29 pm
It’s puzzling. Baker was quite accurate throwing in the Bengals game.
September 21st, 2026 at 4:30 pm
I agree with Josh. If the record is bad enough, and it probably will be, we should draft a QB in Round 1. There are lots of good ones coming out.

September 21st, 2026 at 4:35 pm
TominMadcity,
I remember in 2019 when JPP ripped into a few players (they were DBs) after a loss because they were joking around and did not seem to care. Then, a few weeks later when one of those players (Hargreaves their first round pick in 2016) loafed on a long pass play by the other team and allowed others to make the tackle- he was cut the next day by Arians. He actually called him out for loafing and said it was unacceptable. I agree that winning coaches do not tolerate a lack of tenacity on any play because it allows softness to overtake the team.

So he torched the defense and the play calling. That means the offense and the defense. Exactly.
We averaged 5.4 yards per carry and the Browns averaged 1.9. We held the edge in total yards. They out- passed us! How did that happen?
We havenât had a rythm at all on offense. No sense of urgency, no commitment to gunsling- itâs like weâre afraid of an interception more than the requirements to get a move on. Pitiful, yet fixable.
Someone said run some hurry up even when weâre not in a hurry. That may be like hitting a reset button and it might help. But we better shake this mess up, and quicklike. I think we can.

Munch,
You know well that Baker threw a perfect pass to Hurst that he dropped in the end zone with 30 seconds left.
Never hear a peep from you about the Todd Bowles defense. We all saw 3 defenders flail away at Denzel Boston who broke all 3 tackles and walked into the end zone for the winning TD. Looked familiar to most of us except you.

———
If Hurst was Mike Evans, you’d expect him to be able to make that contested catch. The ball placement was great, but it was a very contested catch – and was certainly defensive pass interference on top of it. To claim somehow Baker is off the hook, as if Hurst, or anyone non-HOF WR is expected to make that as a routine catch on a wet field is complete nonsense. But again, it was DPI, and it’s bull that it wasn’t called.
But how does that excuse Baker from missing a simple pass to a wide open receiver on 4th down that every single QB in the NFL is expected to hit 100 out of 100 times?
Trying to pretend like Hurst not making a circus catch lets Baker off the hook is disingenuous, even for a Baker Boi.
Also, Boston didn’t break “3 tackles” you dope – that moron Analzone, in the process of missing the tackle, swung around and literally knocked Winfield out of the play. And I did yell about it yesterday. But that play didn’t cost the Bucs the games, the open WR in the end zone at the end of the game, the one Baker missed on a simple throw and catch, that is what literally cost the Bucs the game.

When they hit 0-5, there’s a mini-bye. Time to deal as much as the high priced talent as possible. No one should be protected.
Clear cap space, gather draft picks, improve draft position, get ready for a rebuild.
If we’re not doing that, what are we doing?
September 21st, 2026 at 6:19 pm
Munchingrightalong. If Winfield is playing the kind of game we need him playing he runs right through Anzalone and Boston at the same time. Do you expect Anzalone to slow down and say excuse me?
September 21st, 2026 at 6:43 pm
Anzalone, Boston, Winfield, and McCollum needs to be fined and publicly humiliated for that TERRIBLE football. No HOF for Winfield, to dang lazy. I had hope for McCollum after the Cincy game. Thought he played well. That video just makes me sick! And itâs so ToddBowleâs Defense!

Dummy, did you watch the play?
Winfield was coming in to help, and Analzone, that moron, not only misses the catch, but knocks Winfield off the tackle as well.
What in the world is Winfield supposed to do there when that moron is flying around like a SCUD missile hitting his own guy?
September 21st, 2026 at 7:10 pm
@Josh – exactly!
And if get the right guy (offensive HC) you can get Baker back to productive during that year where the rookie sits and then you have an asset that you can send to another franchise thatâs looking for a bridge.
But you have to get the guy that can help find the right rookie and build the right environment with guardrails for baker.
I donât have much faith that thereâs anyone in the building that knows what that guy looks like.
September 21st, 2026 at 7:12 pm
the above video……
the more you replay it, the more it become like 3 stooges type crap…i swear…
anzalonely like alligator or crocodile death rolled over, sending the guy literally to freedom…
while awj and tykee ran into each other literally like stooges, larry and curly…
and then zyon ran with him almost like he was on the same team, running with the guy as his protector…and yes not lunging fist first into the ball & arm pit area to potentially knock it loose…did he get bored…
the more i replay it, the goofier the play looks for some reason…
anyway, everyone is uber upset about this loss…but everyone needs to let it go and put it to bed now…
prepare for the vikings…my sleeper team going into the season…i expected big things from little kyler murray and company this year…and still do…
we gotta get ready……now…
going 0-3 would literally be circling the drain…
so what if we didn’t come flying out the gate this year under bowles, like we always seem to do…so what…
with that same scenario, we usually collapse midway thru the season anyway, when it starts to really count…
the boys can create a new script and hopefully build momentum…no mid and late season flop outs…
yes i know, we look like the worst team in football right now…
dudes are gonna have to look in the mirror and call each other out…it’s on the players…
the season just started…
it can be salvaged, but with a different script than what we’ve seen the past few years…
don’t abandon ship just yet…
well……..if we get out azzes handed to us this sunday, yeahhh…maybe then you can officially abandon ship

Conte Piscatelli … ‘I donât think Anzalone has actually made a tackle yet this season. Absolute garbage! Might be the perfect Bowles Linebacker.’
If you take the time to check the stats after 2 games, you’d see that Anzalone is the SECOND leading tackler on the Bucs with 15 tackles (Trotter has 24).
And if you looked further, you’d also see that for any defensive player with over 1 tackle, Alex has the HIGHEST Missed Tackle Percentage at 21.1% thru 2 games. It looks like all of his missed tackles (4) occurred in the 1st game however, so MAYBE there’s progress.
September 21st, 2026 at 7:32 pm
BTW, before everyone panics that the seasonn is already lost, there are EIGHT teams that are now 0-2. Of those, I’m personally surprised that at least half of those aren’t at least 1-1 at this point (Commanders, Chargers, Texans … and Bucs).
In EACH of those 4 cases, the offense is underperforming and their defense is also underperforming.
o Commanders: #19 offense (42 pts) – #27 defense (61 pts)
o Bucs: #17 offense (46 pts) – #24 defense (56 pts)
o Texans: #22 offense (37 pts) – #24 defense (56 pts)
o Chargers: #28 offense (28 pts) – #20 defense (52 pts)
All 4 of those teams have the talent to turn it around & have a winning season. Interestingly, only HC Jim Harbaugh (Chargers) is an offensive coach. Dan Quinn, DeMeco Ryans & Todd Bowles of course are all defensive coaches.
September 21st, 2026 at 7:42 pm
texans started off like 0-3 last year…then won like 12 or their remaining 14…which is like kind of unheard of…
not saying that’s our type trajectory…but i’m just saying…season ain’t lost just yet…
maybe they’ll pull up the boot straps come sunday and remind klyer what it’s like to be a cardinal

DR⊠Anzalone absolutely missed a couple tackles vs the Browns.
Bowles is absolutely terrible. We let 2 legit HCs walk outta the building and kept him. He has learned nothing. Got a bunch of new toys on D, touted a big change and itâs the same stuff we have seen for years. No pass rush, OLBs dropping in coverage not able to set up moves. Leaving production on the bench, while starters play terribly and arenât held accountable, guys like Gesicki (opposing TE) and Watson (opposing garbage QB) look great against Todd Bowles D.
The Bucs set this franchise back 10 years retaining him and Leftwich after Arians packed it in. Leftwich canât get a job and I assure you that Bowles wonât even try to get a job in order to save face, cause he wouldnât be able to get one! Worst coaching in the league. Coen dragged him to 10 wins.
2023 Canales lifts the team a bit and helps the offense post Byron.
2024 Coen saves Bowles with a top 5 offense. Weak secondary is the excuse.
2025 Baker plays great for 8 weeks, he falls off big time and surprise Bucs start losing. Grizzard and multiple coaches thrown under the bus.
2026⊠Baker canât save him, playing like crap, OC sucks and canât save the D. D is Bowles usual average unit. 0-2 and we are looking at 5-6 wins.
How did Licht and the Glazers not see this? Clear as day to a bunch of fans. Useless HC and DC.

They need to run Bowles licht and some of these overpaid overhyped players out of here… nah let’s run it back

He is terrible.

2 games don’t make a season but the TREND IS NOT GOOD. I suspect there’s a lot of hidden turmoil going on in the locker room, coaching staff, GM, and the ownership. Something is causing the gears to grind instead of mesh. There are too many good players there to stink this bad.
Mediocre and poor NFL coaches have the same kind of staff. If you accept that as the main reason for losses then all the effort and scheme comments are as true as the Sun coming up tomorrow. 2-9 since last season. They’ve Picked up EXACTLY where they left off, in the Loser column.
Lack of discipline and frequently missed assignments is on offensive and defensive groups, defensive scheme fails to produce results, players don’t hit and wrap up. COACHING appears to be well below competitive NFL standards. Time for the Glazers to take a leap and fire some people before the season turns further South.
When you fire a coach, every player, even the highly paid ones, gets the message they are on the chopping block for the incoming new HC. Seems to motivate most players. And right now this team is just going through the motions.
Light a fire under some [posteriors? I’d say start with a blowtorch.

@ Josh Says: 1. â**Draft the Future:** Select a rookie QB in Round 1 on a cheap, controlled contract.
2. **Bridge with Baker:** Keep Baker as the starter for one more year to let the rookie learn without getting thrown to the wolves unless he is just completely outplaying Baker in camp.
3. **Painless Hand-off:** After that transition year, cut or trade Baker. His dead cap drops even lower, (the cap seems to always go up) the rookie steps in on a low cap hit, and the roster never collapses.â
NOPE. No way possible. Will NEVER WORK. Again, YOU are assuming that THIS is some great roster⊠It is NOT. Just soooo far away from it. And, itâs NOT EVEN CLOSE. You have STOCKPILE âDraft-Capital,â & start churning-out TALENT, in order to REBUILD. THE. ROSTER. FIRST. You are also, ASSUMING (and I donât know why) that itâll work-out with âBAKERâ playing while having to look over his shoulder, and KNOWING that at any day now, the pressure WILL COME to when HE IS REPLACED, & etc. I mean, this fantasy/dream of BAKER âmentoringâ along HIS REPLACEMENT, is just LAUGHABLE⊠And, you obviously DONâT KNOW âBAKER.â Theyâre going to have to just eat up as much Salary Cap as humanly possible, by MOVING every âavailableâ ASAP, while they still have any value left. You need as MANY âPicksâ as humanly possible, in order to bring in FRESH ânewâ TALENT, and start developing and churning these players, JUST LIKE COEN is in Jacksonville⊠By the time, this âupcomingâ 2027-Draft is completed, COEN & the Jags will have DRAFTED right at 30-PLAYERS, in 3-years (with even more to come). Lickt, at his normal current trajectory⊠Barely, even 18. And, THATâs SO HUGE. This franchise has been MISERABLY ran and constructed. And, THIS ROSTER SUCKS. Yeah, itâs good enough (MAYBE), to possibly âwinâ the NFC South, with the ârightâ coaching⊠But, THATâs as far as it can go. THAT is âtheirâ literal ceiling. Itâs THAT BAD. Yeah, ALL of these rosters a STRONG⊠ALL of these players can PLAY. Itâs THE NFL. But, this roster is farrrr away from being able to EVEN COMPETE with the âELITEâ Rosters throughout the rest of the league. THIS is a âBOTTOM-5â ROSTER in the entire NFC⊠Thatâs exactly WHAT you are looking at. And, that might even be GENEROUS NOW, after the start to this season. On their BEST DAYS, they are just average. It has to be a compete tear down, REBUILD. Start over FRESH. I mean, there arenât even a âHANDFULâ of players on it currently, that youâd even feel-like, youâd have to keep. And, right now would be THE PERFECT TIMING, to move off of Wirfs, if weâre sitting at 2-7 or 3-6 at the trade-deadline⊠But, prob not NOW, that weâre STUCK with BAKER. They literally would had ALL the âflexibilityâ in the WORLD for this upcoming offseason⊠Couldâve done whatever the hell THEY WANTED. NOT NOW. They screwed us. The entire franchise. But, KEEP drinking that kool-aid on THIS ROSTER. 3-10 in their LAST 13-GAMES says all you need to know. âLOADED/ELITEâ ROSTERS donât go 3-10. Period. End of Story. Itâs NOT POSSIBLE. They would at least find a way, and luck into 7-6, at a MINIMUM. Think about it. Open your eyes. NOT POSSIBLE.
September 21st, 2026 at 11:22 pm
Itâs POINTLESS, wasting a 1st-Round Pick QBâs ârookieâ deal, with a depleted ROSTER. You BUILD. THE. ROSTER. FIRST. There are NO RULES, saying that you MUST or HAVE TO âDRAFTâ a QUARTERBACK. You sign a vet âbridgeâ on the CHEAP. The Broncos already had a STACKED STONG Roster, AND a STRONG HOF Head Coach, who is also a STUD âPLAY-CALLER,â who is a literal GENIUS at âdevelopingâ QBâs. An entirely, âDIFFERENTâ situation, than what the BUCS will be in.

It’s not what you’re saying.
10 million bump this year up to 50.
+ 50 million in ’27
+ 50 million in ’28
+ 55 million in ’29 (not fully guaranteed)
===
= 165 million
It’s bad if he continues to suck. It’s fine if he plays like ’24.

Yeah, we are so deep in hating Zack Robinsonâs garbage offense.
That we forgot had bad the defense collapsed against the worst QB in the league.
Zyon pulling up?
Letâs not forget the terrible tape, showing Chris Godwin quitting on numerous plays week one.
This defense cannot rush the passer.
They canât tackle
They play 10 yards of the WRs.
We need to Fire Todd Bowles. Now.
We need to fire Zack Robinson. Never should have hired him. Nobody should hire him
We need to fire Jason Licht. His failure to build an offensive line, or a pass rush, should get him rode out of Town.
Time to break tradition. Fire them now. Obvious the team has quit.
September 22nd, 2026 at 5:12 pm
If in the 5th year of whatever OC we have and we say they ran seven screens and none of them worked I would be outraged. You could say “âBad zone defense. Bad zone defense. Bad pressure distribution. Too soft in coverage. Poor tackling. Poor tackling. Poor tackling, Poor tackling. Blown coverage. ” in just about every Todd Bowles coached game here in the last 4 years. Its the same story every week. This is who he is as a coach, its not changing. I used to be angry now I’m just here for the spectacle.
