Vita Vea And Tristan Wirfs Remain Sidelined

Day 4 of Bucs training camp is underway inside the Glazer Shed because of weather.
Never been in the Glazer Shed? It’s one artificial turf field with about 3,000 aluminum-bench style bleacher seats. The air conditioning is on, and fans are in the house.
Not practicing for the fourth consecutive day are Vita Vea and Tristan Wirfs, and it seems the Bucs are still being careful with second-year cornerback Benjamin Morrison.
Wirfs has a bad hamstring and could be out at least two more weeks. Morrison also has a hamstring issue. Vea appears to have hurt feelings because he doesn’t like contract, though the Bucs have led fans to believe Vea has an injured back.

Joe, referring to Vea as having “hurt feelings” or “pouting” is BS. You’re just sucking up to the Glazers.

Dude should make more than $17 million period.
Either make him happy or trade him.
They need to figure out if they are playing for a SB or a QB next year.

Oh and all this makes me think they already have a hand shake with Tomlin next year. Just ask him how high of draft lock he wants.

This is not good news on Wirfs, 2 more weeks, yuk.
Baker and Vea. What it really makes me think, which I have been thinking the Bucs overall don’t believe this team is a playoff team this year. If they did, those guys as they should would have new contracts. It seems the Bucs always, always screw up the qb situation. Have the Bucs ever had a franchise qb. Ah no, . To me right now the Glazers seem to have reverted back to the YUKS, how can we blow up the franchise. Well , let’s not sign our QB, right yet, we need to see more. Glazers remember if he plays really, really well, then you will pay more and he will want a longer contract. Yes it seems like a big gamble and you are betting he will play poor?. That doesn’t make much sense.
Then there is Vea, oh well no we are not going to give our best DL , a raise ,although he has more than earned it. We will just depend on Kancy, who is often injured and thus far in camp has not done well , because there is no Vea. Oh but the defense is ok, We have McColumn and Morrison at CB, with no depth behind them. Then there is LB, a rookie and a 31 year old , with Dennis as a reserve.
Yes may have to agree with Tiki on this one it does appear the Bucs are crumbling before our eyes.

Vea will be traded. Licht stating Bucs won’t trade him is the same technique Al Davis used to extort such a high price from the Bucs for John Gruden.

Tomlin fans, look at the last 5 years of him versus Todd. What do you see? Very nearly the same thing. Mostly mediocrity. Tomlin hasn’t been relevant since he had a quarterback named Ben. And that’s simply the truth. Pittsburgh fans we’re just as excited to get rid of him as our fans seem to be of getting rid of Todd. If/ when we get a new coach, I don’t think it’s going to be essentially a retread.

Wirfs? 2 weeks? Hammy? That sucks. Best lineman…probably best OT in the NFL. Injured on the 1st day? This season is cursed.

Wirfs has a good year, and we still go 8-9 trade him. He’ll never be worth more, and his health is starting to become a concern. Remember he missed all camp, and a good chunk of the season. He’s starting out this season the same way.

I like Wirfs being out. Gives the twos and threes more work and keeps Tristan fresh and away from freak injuries.
