Rookies Report To Training Camp Today

July 27th, 2026

Rookie Miami Mauler edge rusher Rueben Bain.

It’s here!

And it will feel very real on Wednesday.

This morning, Bucs rookies report to training camp. Rueben Bain is in the house!

They’ll get physicals, maybe even a conditioning test, and have meetings. The veterans are in tomorrow and practice starts early morning on Wednesday. The first practice open to fans at One Buc Palace is on Thursday. The first preseason game is Aug. 14, at the Jets.

Welcome to football season.

  9. Truth be Told Says:

It is Finally here! Now the Haters can just sit back like the rest of us as the season unfolds and spew their Vitriol at the slightest little negative thing to complain about. Go BUCS!!

  16. firethecannons Says:

Joe says this, “Welcome to football season” 😀 and right back at ya Joe! You kept us alive till now with your lifesaver site! Now we get real news, less speculation. After last year, lets stay healthy, keep the A team in bubblewrap during preseason, hope to see the up and comers like Ted Hurst Most of our rooks are already A team so theres that.

  17. Fred McNeil Says:

    Ahhh, finally!

  18. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Baker will come in and sign on the dotted line tomorrow…unless he comes in early. That’s my prediction.

  19. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

If I were Baker, I would call the Bucs and tell them I plan to mess with the media and fans…then I would hold a press conference and say I’m holding out…then show up anyway 😉

    I’m evil like that.

  20. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Media would absolutely hate me if I was a part of this organization, lol. I would soooo mess with people.

  21. Bojim Says:

Man the year was pretty fast coming. 😵‍💫

  22. Pickgrin Says:

The great news, now that training camp is starting, is no Bucs made “news” in the last 6 weeks.

No arrests, No DUIs, No car wrecks, No domestic BS, no knees blown out on a pick-up basketball court…. Nada….. Crickets…..

    Good job men!

Now its time to get to work – and start building the foundation for a special season….. hopefully one that ends in February with Red and Pewter confetti raining down on this team in Los Angeles.

  23. BuccoMarty Says:

    Let the preseason antics begin!

We still have some needs to address and other teams’ trash piles to pick through. Would love to find a diamond in the rough out there that another team cast off (as long as it’s an upgrade. Lookin’ at you, Braswell.)

  24. SlyPirate Says:

I heard they had to change the configuration of Bain’s locker.

He couldn’t reach the top shelf.

  25. mj Says:

yes thanks to jbf for keeping us in the know since 3rd and 28 prematurely ended our season, it was a long six months. i’ll be watching the panthers play a week from Thursday night, good to have the nfl back!!

best offseason moves: getting bain and re tooling the front seven on defense, we should see an improved defense, cornerback is scary though…
worst moves: losing jamel dean, even more than me13 this one is going to hurt, how many games will we lose by not being able to stop the pass in the fourth qtr?

  26. Jake Been there since the beginning Says:

Joe, I don’t think there is a real negative one can truly put on Graham Barton, per CBS. I saw chaos along that line. Is Barton the best center? Maybe not but he’s taken them into the playoffs twice. Let’s Go Baby !!! For once in a long time ESPN recognized the Bucs Jalen McMillan!!!! Love this guy!!!! WATCH!!! this is his year..

  27. Buc1987 Says:

    Go Miami Mauler!

  28. Buzzard Breath Says:

I absolutely believe that David walker will take Ya-ya starting spot by week 9,and I hope Jeremiah Trotters son can move into the starting lineup ! Go Bucs!!

  29. Will Says:

This seems to be good news in light of Vita Vea asking for a trade.
