Ndamukong Suh Speaks Out On Behalf Of Vita Vea

Joe has an answer to Ndamukong Suh’s question.
Yes, Suh took to Twitter to defend his former Bucs teammate, Vita Vea. Joe had this late last night but this is another angle about the video.
The former Bucs great, Super Bowl champion, and someday a Pro Football Hall of Famer, Suh no doubt is working behind the scenes with Vea in the Pro Bowl tackle’s quest to get paid again.
Vea is expected to pocket some $18 million in the final year of his contract this season which, per Spotrac.com, is the 21st highest-paid interior defensive lineman. We all sure as hell know Vea is much better than that.
Suh and Vea were Bucs teammates for three seasons. Suh has become both a close friend and an advisor to Vea.
Suh is an extremely intelligent guy who is very savvy about finances (one of his confidants is none other than Warren Buffett). When Suh played, he negotiated his own contracts.
“This Joe” has zero doubt Vea’s sudden demand for a trade is a negotiating ploy that Suh himself either signed off on or advised Vea to launch. In a video Suh posted Twitter last night, Suh had a large photo of Vea in the background and Suh took the Bucs to task for dragging their feet on the negotiations.
Suh asked repeatedly why a team (he didn’t mention the Bucs) would shadow box Vea, who Suh described as a “cornerstone.”
For “this Joe” the answer is simple: The Bucs are knee-deep trying to get Baker Mayfield signed. Once that is finished, the Bucs know how much Team Glazer loot they can play with and offer Vea.
So Vea is upset (maybe — stay tuned for the next story), Suh is upset, Bucs fans are outraged and blaming Todd Bowles. LOL
Training camp just got a whole lot more interesting. Nothing beats good ol’ fashioned drama.

It is all about the coin. Vea wants one final big contract and Suh is his mouthpiece. Licht probably does not want to extend Vea past 2026 because he has his doubts about players on the wrong side of 30 and would rather give Veaa a raise or a shorter deal. Joe is right, nothing will happen until the mayfield deal is settled. Suh/Vea will have to wait teheir turn. Question is, will vea risk a holdout which will hit him the wallett right away and also, what could the Bucs really get for him in trade, a day 2 pick??????

Why does a multi billion dollar organization have to wait until the eve of training camp to get this finalized? Flesh Licht has had months to get this worked out, what has he been spending his days doing? What, throughout the work week, has taken higher priority than fleshing out these contracts?

He’s not showing up to work for free he’s under contract. That’s the thing suh is not factoring in. Vea knows he has one more chance at a sizable contract at age 31 playing DT. That’s it. It’s all business

Wtf? He’s guaranteed 17.5 million to play 75 percent of defensive snaps. While that’s top 10 in NT percentage. He’s takes plays off and he refuses to lose that fat around his belly. Imagine if he truly wanted to be the best. He would lose that gain muscle and weigh 335-340kbs rather than fat at 347. Let him leave. We should have fired Todd and got an innovator thay actually wants to win. Not a head coach eho sleeps like a newborn babe before games. Somebody who sufdenly awakes with intriguing play…Everybody hates Todd. Again everybody hates Todd

Please make sure everyone reads this. I’m sick and tired of these divas that are not loyal to the team we love unconditionally. If you don’t feel what I’m about to express then go onto Pewter Report or some other vanilla NFL team forum.
Ndamukong Suh lecturing the Buccaneers about loyalty is rich. Negotiations are private. If you’re airing them out on social media, you’re not helping your friend, you’re trying to pressure an organization that’s been one of the best-run franchises in the NFL.
Vita Vea signed the contract. The Buccaneers honored every penny of it. That’s called BUSINESS, not betrayal.
As for Suh, it’s easy to criticize from a podcast chair. Building a championship roster from the front office is a little harder.
Dynasties aren’t built by rewarding public pressure, they’re built by making tough decisions. If someone wants out, open the door, collect the draft picks, and let the next hungry player earn the jersey. Our Buccaneers were here before any player arrived, and they’ll still be chasing Lombardis long after today’s headlines are forgotten.

Don’t blame Vita actually. The older he gets the higher likelihood of an injury, so getting that security of another year or two extension is more pressing at this stage. Don’t expect the Bucs to make the playoffs this season or, if they somehow do, not get past the 1st round as usual. If the return is good, not opposed to a trade to continue to build the team for the new HC next season.
