Bucs Go National For Preseason Football

Buccaneers fans now sit just 37 days from a real live Tampa Bay football.

The preseason opener, hopefully the NFL debut of Miami Mauler edge rusher Rueben Bain, is Friday, Aug. 14 in New Jersey. Bucs-Jets kicks off at 7 p.m. after joint practices between the two teams Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 11 and Aug. 12 at Jets headquarters.
That’s old news. What’s fresh is that the game will be aired on NFL Network outside the Tampa Bay region, where the game will be shown on WFLA-TV.
ESPN/NFL Network made the announcement yesterday. It’s unclear who will announce the NFL Network broadcast.
Regardless, it’s an early showcase for Bucs players, primarily reserves looking to put their best film out there — for the Bucs and every other NFL team.
No reason to see anyone take a play off.

Real coaches never tolerate any player taking a play off, anytime. Yet, that has become Bucs culture especially on defense. But Todd doesn’t want to show the league what he’s cooked up in the lab in preseason so don’t expect any real loafing until week 1.

We’ve witnessed his best and it still sucked.

I hope to see some Ted Hurst and Bauer Sharp action, and some of the quarterback Daniels as well, I kind of hope Rueben Bain is named a starter and sits out preseason as no need for injury risk.

Who cares? I exclusively watch BUCS games in preseason. I don’t even care if they win. I sound like one of the Joe’s. Do love BUCS preseason, except for the injuries.

Just moved back to the area after 35 years away. Cannot wait to listen to the hometown broadcast again! I’ve had to watch via NFL+ coverage, etc and sometimes you ended up with the opposing teams home call. Glad to be back.

With a good OC like coen we won 10 games. So your prediction is trash unrealistic and we have 4 seasons of proof. While we might have hit Bowles ceiling at 9 10 wins a season which isn’t good enough it’s still a hell of a lot better than 4 or 3 win season as your 💩🤡 has predicted. Got back to watching your aints

If Bain and David Bailey both play in that Jets preseason game, I would love to see Ben Chukwuma absolutely shut down #2 overall pick David Bailey while seeing Rueben Bain get a sack in the first quarter! Bain > Bailey
