I’m predicting the Bucs finish 10-7 and win the NFC South. The schedule is tough with games against the Bengals, Ravens, Lions, Rams, Cowboys, and Bears, but Baker has proven he can keep this team competitive.

Losing ME13 and LT is huge, but the division is still VERY winnable. If the defense improves and TAMPA BAIN and Co. step up, our BUCCANEERS absolutely have playoff potential!!!

    9

anyone who votes over 8, have you not lived through the Bowels debacle enough the past 4 years to know better?

  4. Fred McNeil Says:

    I went with 9 but I lean closer to 10 than 8.
For tht fudge factor. We will win a weak division. I’ll worry about who the wildcard might be around Christmas.

  5. JustIneGame Says:

There’s a fine line between being optimistic and being flat out retarded and the people voting 9 or more are flirting with the latter.

I believe our starting 5 on the offensive line feels like they let us down last season. They did. I also believe they’re conniving, right about now, about ways to rectify that shortchanging. Beards are unkempt, tempers may be flaring, and a sense of urgency is prodding those boys. I don’t care how tough you are. Wirfs, Goedecke, Barton, Mauch, and Bredeson in unison are a very nasty bunch. With an improved defense and some fire on our special teams, it’s gonna come down to how healthy can we stay and how much better our depth is. Some of these guys have been around long enough to know how good they can be. And that’s good enough to play with anybody on this schedule. In fact, I don’t believe the schedule could have shook out any more in our advantage. 13 wins. For starters.

There’s a fine line between realism and being blindly negative too. Nobody’s saying the Bucs are guaranteed to win 12 games, but acting like 9+ wins is “crazy” for a team that’s won the division multiple straight years is just emotional hating at this point.

Please pick another team in the NFC to troll.

    Buccaneers UNITED!!

8 because of talent, could be less because of the head coach. He’s proved he isn’t a good NFL coach.

  9. Bucsfan Says:

I no longer believe the hype until it’s proven, at least being competitive. That losing streak really hurt.

  10. BigZ Says:

13 wins for Todd? 13 wins for a team that was the worst in the back half last year? 13 wins after losing Mike, LD, and Dean? 13 wins for a team under Todd that always losses 4 in a row? 13 wins for a division that has improved? 13 wins for Zyon and Benmo as our starting corners?

    8 and 9 is realistic.

Not trying to be pessimistic, but come on. Good teams dont sink after 5 and 1.

Lots of ?s on this team for 13 wins.

  11. LynchMob50 Says:

Remember last summer when the Pom Pom squad was calling for 12 wins minimum???

They will never learn. Being blindly positive doesn’t make you a better fan.

Especially when you shout down any opposing opinion.

A realistic view of the capabilities of the coach and team will tell the truth of the situation.

7-10 and no playoffs. Todd gets another extension.

  12. Borimex 813 Says:

    @LynchMob50

Blind negativity doesn’t make you a smarter fan either. Every offseason people predict high and low —that’s what fans do. Nobody’s “shouting down” opinions, we just don’t all agree with doom-and-gloom takes in May.

We still have talent on both sides of the ball, and upgraded areas they needed to address. Could they disappoint? Sure. But acting like 7-10 is some guaranteed football prophecy is just as biased as predicting 9-12 wins.

At the end of the day, realistic fans can still be optimistic fans. That’s part of enjoying football.

I truly do feel bad for Canales, Coen, and now Robinson that they have to deal with this bungling fool whose defense would get toasted by most college teams. Hand the reins over to Robinson and let him bring in his own defensive coach so we can wash the IBS taste out of our mouth
