Since Sonny Styles ain’t gonna be there. Edge rush bayyyy beeee!

  2. bucnjim Says:

When you’re in rebuild mode it should always be best available. If 5 edge rushers are taken before the Bucs pick, you don’t draft the 6th best defensive end!

  3. Pickgrin Says:

CB is a need – as is NT/DT….

But Edge and ILB are bigger needs – and both OLB and ILB are strengths of this draft.

I like trading back to gain an extra day 2 pick and then take the best ILB on the board somewhere in the 20s…. (Allen?)

    1. ILB
    2. Edge
    3. NT/DT
    3. Edge
    4. CB/ ILB/ OG

THAT is how you fix this defense!

  4. Davenport Says:

Bowles has never been able to draft and develop an Edge so there’s no point in chasing one. Styles will be gone by 15.

I am OK with Sadiq as a huge upgrade at TE or trading out to get more picks

  5. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Voted Edge, partly because I think there’s a good chance we’ll have a pick of at least 2 of the top 10 players at the position with Howell being the favorite for me.

If Styles falls in our laps, than that’s the pick, but that’s feeling like a pipe dream at this point.

Wouldn’t be shocked if we pick a CB.

I’d be absolutely floored if we picked a WR, but if it’s Denzel Boston I’d be okay with that.

TE? I’m throwing something at the tv

Raiders are going to pick Mendoza, and I’m hoping at least half of the other 13 teams picking before us make a run on a bunch of offensive players. Get those guys out of the way and push as many of the top defenders down to us at 15 as possible.

  6. Alexandre Nascimento Says:

    DL

  7. BigZ Says:

Need and talent dont always align, i.e. Hall, JTS, Braswell, Hargreaves, Arguyo, erc. Those were some gems.
Always BPA. Except this year, Im passing on a receiver.
Please no Howell or Faulk in round 1.

  8. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

So the question should be….Who has Bowles actually developed and same player has been able to maintain that level after a year?

  9. Bee Says:

Watch Licht get a WR or TE. It should be all defense for the forst 4 rounds. He better find some talent that plays good immediately or this might be his last draft. Last year’s draft was bad so he can only do better…right?

  10. J. Gallo84 Says:

Voted for receiver for the heck of it. BPA front 7 is the move

  11. Fred Says:

Huh….. Only 1.65% voted Quarterback. I guess practically everyone is an idiot. Except for Rod Mulch, of course.

  12. Fred Says:

Huh….. Only 1.65% voted Quarterback. Maybe the need for a replacement for Baker isn’t quite as important as Mulch thinks. Could it be he’s wrong? Could that happen?

  13. Dale W Says:

Doesn’t matter, Todd Bowles is still head coach.

  14. StormyInFl Says:

Don’t reach for need. End of story.

Drafting the 4th best edge rusher on the board is a stupid use of assets if a higher rated player is there. If Sadiq is there, take him. I’d rather have Sadiq than the next Joe Tryon Shoyinka (an example of reaching for need).

  15. 3.28.Evans Says:

    New head coach.

  16. OLDSCHOOL1976 Says:

Won’t be an edge left worth 15th pick. Either ILB or Corner. Lots of quality interior D line prospects rounds 3-5.

  17. Rob Says:

If there’s a stud at ILB sitting there at 15 you take them. This team cant evaluate edge rushers to save their life. Take the slam dunk at ILB if the value is there. Teams find value at edge in every round of the draft. There’s late round and even undrafted players that turn into productive rushers. This team just doesnt know how to find them or develop them.

  18. Bucsfan1011 Says:

Trade back a little and grab a good ILB and an extra pick.

  19. Mac Says:

We desperately need defensive line depth. We need a big beastly body in there. That’s my top priority and LB a very close 2nd. No point in drafting an edge cause Bowles has no clue how to develop one unless one of the Miami kids are there at 15.

  20. 3.28.Evans Says:

If it’s players the Bucs draft, it makes no difference who, when, what position. The team will perform all season like the 2011 Buccaneers over their last 10 games. Same infection, different day.

  21. Evo Says:

OG 1st round. Baker can’t have that rush up the middle again. OG injuries changed everything the bucs wanted to do.

  22. RagingBrisket Says:

    Get a General Manager

  23. 3rd and 28 in the Canoe Says:

Could we trade our first and second round picks for a quality head coach?

  24. Rod Munch Says:

You don’t target any position – just see how the board falls. If there’s a run on LB/EDGE, and corners fall, then take a top one. Also, in that situation, I’d certainly be OK with trading back if you got any offers, but pretty much everyone wants to trade back to pick-up high picks if there’s not a dominate player available – so it’s not as easy as people think.

  25. dumboldguy Says:

Trade up to take Syles. This is the way.

A dominant high motor disruptor with high football IQ at ILB is a game changer and Styles is as sure of a thing for that any draft pick can be.

Especially if we ever get rid of Bowles a competent coach can move a player like this all over causing matchup problems much like Dallas used Micah Parsons.

  26. RustyRhinos Says:

I didn’t catch the vote, but the results fit my choices as well and those top three are fluid. 1-3
Taking who’s at and who’s not at 15. Shifts those three to me.

Best Edge, LB, any player to good to pass up, are all fluid to me at 1.
Same for every other draft choice we have or acquire.

Edge, LB, CB, DL are needs, S, RB, TE, OL, WR, QB are less thans to me but your always looking at the next season, as well with any draft choice… so nothing is off the table..

Sucks, we have to continue on a different course without 13, but thanks for the memories and your dedication to yourself on my behalf as a Evans fan.

Move and recoordinate offensive plans, draft accordingly, move on. Some of our men in the WR room will now get more opportunities. What more can a great WR room want??

    Go!!!!! Bucs!!!!!!
