Angry, not that he left but WHY he left. He knew we went downhill, aren’t a contender, and are an org that settles for mediocrity…keeping Bowles was the main reason. Glazerhouses poor decisions…
We all know, football is a business. I am glad Big Mike E is getting a good deal and another shot at a ring– he has had to endure a lot ugly seasons for the ring in 2021. It makes me think that the Team does not think we are as close as the rest of us hope we are.
@gofortheface30, Rod Butt Munch is autistic or something, he can’t help himself. Plus, he won’t answer until he gets out of school and mom lets him have his tablet time…which is probably all night to give her some peace!
I voted angry. But some might be angry at ME. Why? Because he wanted to win? Because he wanted to get away from this useless HC? Because he wanted to go to a winning organization?
Good for Mike. The 9ers, are maybe the only team that had more injuries than the Bucs, and yet, they ended the season 12-5 and made the playoffs. THAT is a winning organization.
The Bucs offseason consists of signing a middling TE, nice guy, plays hard, but he is less than average. And signed an again ILB, hoooooraaay. And they kept the inept DC, the worst of all their moves.
I have NOT been one to complain about Todd and Licht or the Glazers. But clearly, this organization is NOT about reaching the SB. Its about winning the comatose NFCS. Hoooorraaay. One and done. 3rd and 28. That is what the Bucs are about.
Glazers are about winning my azz. How does a winning organization keep a HC who starts 6-2 and finishes 2-7? If you think they believe in his coaching abilities if it weren’t for the injuries, I ask you WHY? What has Todd ever done as a HC? He is a middling coach at best. The highlight of his resume is as DC in the SB. As a HC, he hasn’t don’t squat.
Mike wanted to get a far from Licht, Bowles and Baker as possible so SF will do the trick. I’ve been saying for months this team is tanking, believe me now?
The options you gave weren’t very good.
They were mostly negative emotions.
I clicked I’m good, but I would have clicked happy for him,
Bucs not going anywhere.
It will be interesting who gets to (try to) be the number 1
receiver. The Bucs have 3 slot receivers and no replacement for Mike.
@joe the poll is a bit skewed. The options are a narrow range from apathetic, “I’m good,” to 4 stages of loss/depression. You could sprinkle in some…”Happy for him” or “good for rebuilding.” I feel you man, you clearly are in a dark place over Mike’s departure. But hey, at least we didn’t get any younger with Licht’s 2nd teir 32 yr old ILB.
IMO he’s not a priority right now. I’m disappointed he wouldn’t stay here for 15 million, but we’ve got to rebuild our defense if we want to be competitive. Hopefully that’s not done!!!
Voted “other”, as I want to hear more details instead of what a lot of this fanbase and just making up their own reasons. Don’t expect Mike to talk bad about Tampa, BUT I do want to hear more of what drove him away. The whole “offense that can challenge defenses” part kind of stuck with me, but there’s got to be more.
Our entire offense is going to be played differently now, we got a taste of that last year.
I wish I was a bit more tech savvy. I would love to see how many people leaving comments along the lines of “I can’t believe we lost Mike, it’s horrible!” also posted comments here the last couple of years containing the word “hamstring”.
For the record I think it sucks, but also “I’m good”.

In before deranged lunatic Rod Munch goes on an unhinged, delirious rant about Baker. Let’s go FSU/Jameis boy, let it all out.

Mike “has been great” Evans chose to leave for whatever reason. Relax, the sun will rise tomorrow.
