Bucs Remain Betting Favorite In The NFC South
March 10th, 2026
The Bucs losing Mike Evans yesterday — and the Panthers adding elite talent — didn’t generate an earthquake from the local Florida sportsbook.
HardRock.bet, the state sanctioned sports wagering authority, has the Bucs as the favorite to win the NFC South as of this morning.
Tampa Bay is +145, while the Falcons (+225) are behind the Bucs, followed by the slimy Saints (+400) and Carolina (+450).
For non-bettors, at “+145” means a $10 wager on the Bucs to win the NFC South would return $24.50.
Joe is not surprised. The Bucs remain a talented roster with the best quarterback in the division. That formula wins most of the time, though Todd Bowles and friends managed an epic choke job despite that advantage last year.

Lmao I’ll take that bet. This is called hedging by Vegas. Honestly with how much we got worse the last day or so and keeping turtle Todd but firing every other coach I’d be more likely the Bucs finish last in the division then first. Yea Joe they have the best qb in the division the first 8-9 games until he gets injured plays through it and is bad to mediocre the other 8

Have they looked at what the other teams in the south did yesterday?
March 10th, 2026 at 7:50 am
How are the Panthers +450 and behind the Saints?
March 10th, 2026 at 7:52 am
The best we can get is third place in our divison.

Bucs will stay the betting favorite because the other teams are not that great. Carolina lost Dowdle, so they have issues at RB and they got that first place schedule the Bucs always had to deal with.. Atlanta got Tua so now they have 2 crippled QBs and Cousins plus no first round pick this year because Rah and company wasted it on that soon to be incarcerated edge rusher Pearce. The Saints might be the team to watch with a 4th place schedule and the fact the other 3 teams are meh mediocre but their qb will likely be exposed now that teams have tape on him (except Bowles will make him look like 1999 Kurt Warner). Bucs have the most talent but that is offset by Bowles and no back up qb for when Baker gets banged up during the course of the season.

Bucnjim: first place schedule, not that easy schedule Carolina had last year.

How long will winning a lousy conference, with no expectations of going any farther, be good enough for this team? Looks like one Super Bowl every 20 years is good enough for the Glazers. And, yes, I know there are teams that haven’t won any, blah, blah, blah.

Evans left because he saw what happened last year and knew what would happen next year.
What does it say about his feelings about the owners, GM and HC?
March 10th, 2026 at 8:22 am
Done nothing for the defense that lost the games the last half of the season…
Im thinking reality is the Bucs will be 3rd in their division..
March 10th, 2026 at 8:23 am
All things being equal I don’t see how that’s possible. Defense is the worst in the South. Offense has a chance to be the best. But we have Bowles. My hunch is Bucs will finish 3rd or 4th. Evans clearly knows this and is the biggest reason why he left. Cant say I blame him.

I was just reading that Kenyon Sadiq would have a 10 RAS score as a wide receiver and teams could flip him back and forth between x receiver and H back maybe revolutionizing offense. Sounds like an amazing prospect to me.
I mean, if you want to replace Mike Evans he might be the best option this year and you can put him on the field any down you want at different positions. I wish we would sign some more free agents on defense so we can select BPA in the draft. We have too many holes still right now…

The tallest midget. Yay!
March 10th, 2026 at 8:39 am
The bucs still have bowles – that is good for 8 to 10 losses.

So tired of “talented roster”. Such crap. We have a talented offense, a great kicker and one talented guy on defense, one – Vita.
Stop the hype Joe as we head into this season and the “talented roster” talk. Hold Jason accountable for building the defense. He hasn’t done that in four years. And first thing out of the chute yesterday we sign two guys on offense and one 31 year old ILB. He’s a good addition, but for the money we paid for Otton we could have also signed Devin Bush. Cream of the crop is gone. Jason is a OneBuc curled up in a corner on the floor sobbing because Mike broke up with him. Get over it. We need to go after critical needs in order of priority – now:
– DT
– Edge
– ILB
– CB
– G
– X WR

Having the best QB in the NFCS isn’t saying much.
March 10th, 2026 at 9:08 am
Thes Bucs need a edge rusher or two. The front four of the Bucs has one keeper .
That is Vita Vea. The super bowl Bucs had the entire front line made up of dogs.
They need new defensive front. Not good!
March 10th, 2026 at 9:11 am
If the O-line holds up, we will move the ball and score. Can the D stop the pass. Todd’s secondary has been bad for three years. If not, no way.
March 10th, 2026 at 9:24 am
The best QB in the NFC South? Really? More like the best QB, at least statistically, in the NFL. The last 3 years anyway. All of the Baker bashers are going to have a long year. Get used to it.
March 10th, 2026 at 9:32 am
The decision to retain Todd Bowles continues to pay dividends for every other team in the NFC South. It will end up being catastrophic to the entire organization. This team is dead in the water. Mike knew this. He wasn’t going to go thru another season of Bowles ineptitude and arrogance. By the time the 2026 is over Todd is gonna wish he resigned after last season.
March 10th, 2026 at 9:35 am
I think the Saints win it. What is the over / under on the win total for the Bucs though?
March 10th, 2026 at 9:39 am
Carolina and Atl will win more games than TB in 2026
March 10th, 2026 at 9:40 am
Fire Todd
March 10th, 2026 at 9:52 am
Ted, take the under on the ATL: if you think the Bucs are a dumpster fire just look up I 75 a bit: the ATL is now Cleveland South with its own QB controversy brewing, Stefanski as a mediocre HC probably not much better than Rah (or Bowles for that matter) and wasted multiple first round draft picks by drafting felons. Bucs may not win the division but I am pretty certain the ATL could be in the Arch Manning sweepstakes for 2027. The Saints are my sleeper team because the Bucs have Bowles and the Panthers have Canales who once you get past the “rah, rah” enthusiasm is not the best HC to handle that brutal first place schedule.
March 10th, 2026 at 10:15 am
How in the hell are the Bucs projected to win the division this coming season?? Ain’t no way!!!!!
Saints drastically improving and Carolina’s D is gonna be savage to keep them in any of their games….
Bucs will be lucky to be in 3rd this year…
Bowles is a dead man walking 🤷🏻♂️….
Glazers will blow it all up next season.
March 10th, 2026 at 10:24 am
Are they forgetting who the Bucs HC still is? Do they realize how bad the defensive system is? Any time your defense is hard for your own players to pick up, yet easy for guys like Cousins to absolutely shred, it’s not good.
March 10th, 2026 at 10:31 am
Every teams blueprint – get in 3rd and 28.
March 10th, 2026 at 10:40 am
I like the idea of Kenyon Sadiq moved to the outside and losing about 15 lbs. Just don’t think he will be around at 15 and he is contrary to the idea of fixing the defense this year. Going to need a lot of new defenders. Sonny Styles will also be long gone meaning that CJ Allen and Jacob Rodriguez could be alternatives. Bradley Chubb is a retread with more upside than Redick ever had. Might not be a bad idea to sign Chubb if still available.
