Yes, It Can Be Done, Bucs Fans

February 9th, 2026

It can happen again.

Don’t worry, Bucs fans. Just because the Bucs missed the playoffs this year doesn’t mean 2026 will be a throwaway season.

Last night marked the 60th Super Bowl. Both teams missed the playoffs the previous season. That is not unusual in Super Bowl history.

In Super Bowl annals, 14 of the 60 Super Bowl winners were not good enough to make the playoffs the previous season. That’s 23 percent.

So basically, the Bucs, based on Super Bowl history, sort of have a one-in-four shot to win their third Super Bowl a year from now.

(Yes, Joe knows that tee’ed fans up for a Todd Bowles screed.)

In fact, the last time the Bucs won a Super Bowl (2020), the Bucs were not a playoff team the year prior (2019).

Cross your fingers, Bucs fans.

I’ll be cautiously optimistic by the time the season starts…but no rush. I need to decompress still.

This FO can make moves to fix all the glaring holes and backfill quality depth pieces…There is money to shuffle around to do that.

They just have to put the right plan in place / the right pieces to the puzzle together / target the right people in FA & not strike out in the draft to accomplish that.

It is 100% possible…It’s not like this is the Raiders, Titans, Cardinals or Jets roster… Where it would take 2-3 cycles to fix everything…The Bucs have a good amount of talent on the roster at a host of key positions.

Seahawks could’ve 2 Superbowls if they trusted their running backs
