Coaching Turnover Rolls On
February 10th, 2026It almost feels like Team Glazer called in the MRSA-era hazmat team, this time to exterminate coaches from One Buc Palace.
Bucs head coach Todd Bowles continues to pull the plug on assistant coaches.
The 2025 offensive coordinator is gone, so is the special teams coordinator and many assistants. Greg Auman of FOX Sports also noted that the Super Bowl era head strength and conditioning coach, Anothony Piroli, is now off the team website and presumably launched.
So that makes a dozen dudes gone from Bowles’ staff seemingly representing every aspect of the football team.
It’s an uncommon phenomenon to retain a head coach, and then see that same head coach part with so many people under him. It makes Joe wonder if Bowles made those staff cuts partly because of immense pressure to do so from people higher than him on the Bucs’ food chain.
Who’s next?

So why did they just not fire Bowles? He was that good of a coach and has the resume to justify keeping his job?
Very disappointed the Bucs did not make a clean break and head in a different direction as a lot of Bucs fans. The Putrid Pass Defense is the problem with this team-and that is Todd’s alleged specialty. All we can do now is hope that we sign a Big Name free agent, swing a trade or get lucky in the draft to finally have an Edge Rush to this football team.

Insanity. Get rid of everyone but the HC/DC????????????????????????????
Have never seen this before. Pretty stupid.
So much for accountability and “The buck stops here”

Bowles will actually get all the credit for team success this year unless the offense carries them again but with these moves he won’t escape full blame. I think Bowles will be successful though. Basically all he has to do is the exact opposite of everything he’s done his entire coaching career

At least they’re keeping the guru. All will be well.

That’s what happens when you limit the players to 150lb dumbbells.

I’m very optimistic about the upcoming season
Can’t wait for free agency to kick off

One Buc is looking like a bus terminal.

People here may complain…but most of them wanted this guy fired during the season.
I’m happy with itl

Bowles designs the defense. The guru! The problem is the defense . Who designs and runs the defense? Bowles! Why is he still here?

It’s a good thing Todd isn’t touching the defense. Strength of the team under his Geniusness coaching.

How quickly some forget that when Bowles was handed the job he had no opportunity to pick any of his staff. Dramatize this any way you want, but I don’t find this unusual at all.

Delusional.
The first year maybe.

Strength and conditioning
We have some really strong dudes. Wirfs and Goedeke lift the gym.
Conditioning for some? Not so much… As has been said here. Lots of pulled muscles. Some dudes do not like to stretch those big ole muscles. Yes Hydration is part of it as well.
Saw some of our dudes gasping for air. Totally gassed before halftime in some cases. My own experience tells me that, At least in my case that games were easier than practice. (back when we had two a days) At least as far as conditioning goes. Early on, some guys could barely get through warmups. But they usually got in much better shape before the season started… With coaches help.
Go Bucs!

Some guys had to fall on the sword for Bowles. The problem is, the Bucs are still stuck with the main problem, Bowles himself.

I guess, after all, that loyalty is not a quality of the pearl clutching team Glazer and the Todd 328 defence.

Bowles and Robinson keep their jobs if
2026: Win 1 playoff game
2027: Win 2 playoff games
2028: Who knows in the NFL.
I am not sure if the team (and the fan base) has the right composition for a drawn out improvement scenario. Arians quickly figured out the mix in 2020, including, but more than GOAT TB12. And we all remember the D in SB LV. Ahhh, I still savor the memory of the old lion beating the young lion. Sorry, I digress.
Can Bowles+Robinson+Mayfield be the Seahawks in the next two years?

Rod… LOL
The O-line will be uninjurable (probably a made up word) once they get the hex DBs up to 170.
Will also make it possible to sign Goedeke, because without those additional dumbells, he’s out of here! A new strength and conditioning coach will make things right!
LOL

The Glazers are an absolute embarrassment. Every single metric screamed get rid of this fraud but hey they love the guy. I hope they get booed every time they show their faces in public. This asinine decision will fuel the 90%+ anti Bowles crowd for this entire offseason and into the 2026 season. Every single blunder that the fraud makes now will be magnified to the Nth degree. There will be no more patience for this guy. By the time he’s done he’ll wish he got fired after last season. The entire organization needs an enema.

Munch, that made me laugh.
When a guy strong enough to hoist 160 lb. dumbbells asks for them, billionaire owners should provide it.
Having said that that, if anyone remembers the condition of the weight “room” at the old One Buc Place, it was literally outside with equipment that was sub standard to most high schools in the day.

@ Delusional Intelligence
Do you honestly believe that Arians told Bolwes who he had to hire for his defensive staff when he was brought in, and that in the time that Bowles has been the head coach he has had no say over his staff until this year?
Okay, sounds logical to me too.
