  1. BakerFan Says:

    Just WIN Baby!

  2. ToesOnTheLine!!! Says:

I voted frustrated only because the only times I truly saw an offensive juggernaut out of the Falcons was when they lit up Todd’s defense. Since our new OC won’t get to play the Bucs twice now I’m not sure if he’s much of an upgrade over Griz? I guess time will tell?

  3. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Solid hire, time will tell how good of a hire this is, but I’m ready to see how this shakes things up on offense.

  4. Deeboooo Says:

I understand how some fans aren’t on board with this hire, but I believe Zac is going to breakout as an OC in the league. I don’t think it’s fair to judge him on his work with the Falcons.

  5. Sly Pirate Says:

Bowles, Zack, Baker will be gone next year.

The next 2-3 years are going to suck.

  6. SteveK Says:

Frustrated if Bowles doesn’t get his defense playing better, more simple, fast, and pass rushing. Meh on Robinson, might be a sneaky good hire but idk.

  7. Chuckys Bucs Says:

Great choice. Coached under McVay, worked with Baker, and ex QB. Anyone complaining simply has a miserable life.

  8. Hugh Glazerhouse Says:

Frustrated the Glazers put us in this position

  9. Coconut Doughnut Says:

    Great hire.

  10. Yeahmetoo Says:

Trying to stay positive. If evens retires or sees rhe writing on thr wall here he
Could jump ship. Could be in for a tough few years. Wasnt alot of positives the
    2nd half of last season.

  11. Obvious One Says:

    Frustrated and uninspired
Life’s not long enough for the inadequacies of this ownership group. As far as the hire….. 60/40
Then again in All honesty, haven’t heard enough about him. Only that he’s the third, forth, or fifth choice.

    We will see..

  12. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I voted “Don’t Know” because I’m willing to wait and see. It’s a new start for him.

  13. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

The way I see it is that the Glazers believe in Todd Bowles for the most part, so they are willing to give him this last year.

I believe Bowles is nearing retirement, and he wants to go out with a ring…so I do think they are going to do all they can to turn things around.

Will they succeed? I don’t know. But it’s not like I can force change or skip a season. I’m a lifetime fan of the team.

So I’ll support the team…and that includes everyone who comes with it…for the next year.

  14. Colonel Angus Says:

Got the same defensive coordinator. Robinson’s offense will have to carry this team, guess we’ll find out if this was a good hire or not.

  15. buccintimeforchanges Says:

    Blech – MEH – OOF – SMDH

  16. Tye Says:

    Voted frustrated!

Knowing there was NO top OC willing to be put in this fragile situation with IBS out the door at the end of next season… Knowing anyone OC to good WILL be IBS replacement and the Bucs would hear it all throughout 2026….

Very few if any view Zac as a possible next HC [yet]!

  17. ‘74 Bucs Fan Says:

You needed a choice of “meh”

  18. buc4evr Says:

Don’t know, but think he will be better than Grizzard. The big issue is Bowles defense. Bucs need a DC.

  19. Cleanhouse Says:

Bowles- “wow this guys stats have been middling to sub par…perfect ideological fit! You’re hired!” This is fan torture….

  20. HC Grover Says:

With this hire the fate of the Bucs is sealed. The Curse of Bowzo will settle in for the durations.

  21. heyjude Says:

It’s hard to shake off not getting McDaniel, but gotta give Zac a chance and see what he does. It’s not the end of the world yet.

  22. David Says:

I am good with it. Out of the people they interviewed, Mike McDaniel was the only better option in my opinion. The only reason he fell off a little this year was when he lost his quarterback and number one receiver.

  23. BucitList Says:

The Falcons didn’t want him, so he must be good enough for us. Baker will again make the OC and head coach look better than they are and take a beating for it.

  24. 813bucboi Says:

    frustrated

    maybe the draft will help

    GO BUCS!!!!

  25. Tom Petty Says:

Best option available. Not sure how it’s going to work out but I’m cautiously optimistic.

Hopefully he’s going to be creative and make our offense @ least respectable again.

I still trust the coaches and staff to make the decision. Unlike most of our commenters I don’t really think I know more than the PROFESSIONAL front office and coaches.

  26. BuccinBaker6, Says:

I’m more excited about Zac then I was about Grizz at this time last year Zac had proven he can do it an with a capable QB which we have an all our weapons we should be fine Zac will get our playmakers the ball he already saif it’s players over plays

  27. Buccintimeforchanges Says:

@ tom petty – you don’t have to be a pro qb to know when a pass is a bad pass lol

You don’t have to be Mozart to know when someone screwed up Beethovens Fifth

You don’t have to be Tom Petty to know when someone screwed up playing Anerican Girl

You don’t have to be a GM to know picking a kicker in the 2nd round is stupid

  28. Fanofdabucs Says:

Does it really matter who the Bucs hired as OC? Todd Bowles and Baker barely made the playoffs and were 1 and done at home with Coen as OC. That’s Bowles ceiling with a great OC. So even if this guy turns out to be great…

Waste of an off-season and season in 2026.

Bucs have enough talent to not get a top 5 pick next year, so it’ll be a long rebuild come 2027. Should have started now. The Glazers have no plan.

  29. Kenton Smith Says:

Fanofdabucs, I’ve read your last paragraph 3 times. Sounds like you’re saying that we should tank the season would be your plan. Since the Glazers have no plan. I don’t think that’s what you mean to say? Mike Evans. Cody Mauch. Ben Bredeson. Chris Godwin. JMac. If we’d of had those guys Grizzard would still have a job. I’m sure if we stay healthy and don’t lose more than 2 or 3 starters to injury then Zac Robinson will do great.

  30. Rod Munch Says:

Looking at his history, the fact he’s from the McVay tree, has had a history of success, it’s a good pick. Here’s some stats I found last night from a random website…

Motion rate, Falcons, 2nd – Fantastic
Playaction rate, Falcons, 31st – Terrible
Air yards per attempt, Falcons, 18th – Good
Shotgun rate, Falcons, 4th – Bad
No huddle, Falcons, 8th – Meh

The high rate of motion is a great thing. The playaction rate is terrible, however – in particular when they had a good running game in Atlanta – that makes no sense not to use playaction. At the same time they ran way too much shotgun- but using shotgun does limit your playaction. I don’t know the breakdown, but perhaps after Kirk starter, he was immobile so they had to keep him in shotgun – not sure.

But overall, drop the rate of shotgun, use playaction – and I think you got a good scheme. I wish there was a stat on misdirection – that’s the area where Coen excelled – that and not being predictable on 1st down and just running up the gut to start every series.

  31. Tom Petty Says:

    @Buccintimeforchanges

You don’t have to know anything at all to be a constant critic.

    “Somewhere, somehow
Somebody must have kicked you around, some
Tell me, why you wanna lay there
    And revel in your abandon”

  32. Oxycondomns Says:

feels more like a coen hire than a griiz hire so thats a positive. maybe he can get algeire to come with him

I’m good with the hire, but I wouldn’t go that far. Coen is an A+ coordinator, and if Robinson was in that class, he’d still be the Falcons OC.

Speaking of which, Atlanta went with the former Browns OC? LOL! Good luck with that.

Anywho, I still like what I’ve read about Robinson, the Falcons were 6th in yards a couple of years ago, and 13th in scoring, with a lot less talent than the Bucs have and a ton of questions at QB.

If I was guessing, I’d say Robinson would probably slot in right above Canales on a A-F chart, at around a B or B-, but Coen is A+ material. But I’ll be very happy if you’re right and I’m wrong.

So with the A+ Coen at OC, the ceiling with Bowles was barely making the playoffs and one and done at home.

I agree, they haven’t improved since 2024 with Coen, they’ve regressed.

  35. Bucs4Life Says:

Wait and see for me. Could be great with a new GM and players. Could be worse than when he was in Atlanta.

Either way its Bowles defense that’s the big problem. A average defense this season and we would have wont the division easily, even with Bakers play while injured. The defense was atrocious. Can’t even stop Ewers or just about any other QB or team. No matter who they are.

  36. Bob Says:

We fans are frustrated that Bowles is still here. We hoped a home run like Mcdaniel would have given us some hope. Now with a likely average OC and our pitiful defense we have little to look forward to imo

    ————

Over the last 6 games, that determined if the Bucs made the playoffs or not, the defense was 10th in points allowed, while the offense was 26th in points scored.

It wasn’t the defense that cost the Bucs the playoffs. It was Baker Mayfield.

  38. Fred McNeil Says:

Honestly, I don’t know at all what to expect from Zac. I’m pretty sure he will improve our run game. I’m pretty sure he will improve our passing game. I doubt seriously he will help our defense. You would think he could inspire bowlzo to alter his incredibly retarded defense. Bowlzo is still a defensive genius. Just ask that idiot.

  39. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I wish we knew if they are even searching for a DC.

I think it was a combinationu of:

🏈 Bowles throwing the players under the bus rather than holding himself accountable
🏈 Mayfield being injured resulting in bad play
🏈 No decent backup to trust so he could heal up
    🏈 Injuries to the OL
🏈 Even when we took early leadsk the defense could not stop anyone
🏈 Special Teams constantly failing against opposing teams
    🏈 Team-wide injuries

    It wasn’t just one thing

  41. gp Says:

In seven full seasons(Jets & Bucs) as head coach, Bowles has fired five OC’s for losing seasons.
His only two winning seasons got his OC’s hired away as head coaches of teams that are arguably doing better with less talent.
Robinson will likely be scapegoated at the end of the next season as well.
Bowles is nothing if not a man with predictable tendencies.

  42. Mike Johnson Says:

Poor Buics. Bad decisions at every turn. the first one was keepin Bowles. The 2nd one was Firing Grizzard and the 3rd was hiring Robinson who like his boss is 8-9 over the past 2 seasons. Can’t make this stuff up people. You gotta wanna be a champion. And the Glazers got them profits gleaming in their eyes. They are satisfied with being 500.

  43. J.Gallo 84 Says:

He is a solid hire and should work well with Baker
