Bucs Looking For A New Passing Game Coordinator

January 29th, 2026

Moving on.

Once upon a time a “passing game coordinator” was either the quarterbacks coach or the offensive coordinator. Either way, the Bucs are looking for a new one.

Per Jonathan Jones of CBS, it seems Bucs offensive coordinator Zac Robinson is hunting for a new passing game coordinator. Kefense Hynson, who served in this capacity under former offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard, is now looking for work.

Joe can’t say if Hynson was good or bad. He seemed like a good guy, but he always hustled off the practice field so, unfortunately, Joe never had a chance to develop any sort of professional relationship with him.

Grizzard first linked up with Hynson when Hynson coached at Yale and Grizzard played at Yale. Hynson, until this past season, was a college coach usually bouncing around the lower levels of college on the west coast and briefly in the Midwest.

Joe always thought with a name like “Kefense” that Hynson would have been an excellent coach for the defense.

“Dang it! ‘bouncing around the lower levels of college on the west coast and briefly in the Midwest’ is just the kind of resume I’m looking for to build my NFL team. This move sounds expensive!” – Hugh
